RAYS POSTCAST: Tampa Bay Rays GET STONEWALLED by the New York Yankees

The Tampa Bay Rays comeback falls short, losing to the New York Yankees 6-4. The Rays offense did not have a base runner for the first 6 innings of the game. Like last night all of the Yankees runs came via the home run. They hit solo home runs in the 1st, the 5th and the 8th The Rays would have the bases loaded in the 7th inning but could not come through. All the Rays runs would come in the last 2 innings. It started with Bob Seymour hitting his first MLB home run in the 8th inning to make it 3-1. Then in the bottom of the 9th down to their final strike, Hunter Feduccia hit a 2 RBI double to tie the game at 3. But the Yankees would hit 2 more home runs in extra innings to make the game 6-3. Bob Seymour would hit a RBI single in the bottom of the 10th to make it 6-4. But that is as close as the Rays would get. Drew Rasmussen started for the Rays and was good once again. He went 6 IP only giving up 2 runs and striking out 6. The Rays will look to bounce back tomorrow night vs the St. Louis Cardinals.
