SEC Week 2 brought unexpected twists and standout performances - Who Impressed & Depressed?
The Kentucky Wildcats faltered against the South Carolina Gamecocks, while Payton Thorne struggled for the Auburn Tigers against Cal. The Arkansas Razorbacks let a lead slip away to the Oklahoma State Cowboys, and the Oklahoma Sooners faced offensive issues despite a win over the Houston Cougars.
The Texas Longhorns dominated the Michigan Wolverines on the road, and the South Carolina Gamecocks secured a big road win over the Kentucky Wildcats. The Tennessee Volunteers crushed the NC State Wolfpack, and Ole Miss Rebels' QB Jackson Dart set passing records. Florida Gators' freshman QB DJ Lagway made a strong debut and set records as well.
The Georgia Bulldogs triumphed over Tennessee Tech despite missing key players, the LSU Tigers lost DT Jacobian Guillory for the season, and the Missouri Tigers showcased a strong defense for a second week in a row. Texas A&M Aggies celebrated their first win under new coach Mike Elko. Updated AP and Coaches Poll rankings for SEC teams are also discussed.
