For many years, less-than-truckload motor freight has been classified by a complex and rather outdated system. That is about to change – starting in July the industry will begin listing freight commodities in a system that is more condensed and modernized. Many companies have been stockpiling extra inventory ahead of the implementation of new tariffs, but a new report this week shows that there can be possible downsides to that strategy. We share what they are and who is affected.
Despite the economic uncertainty, a new report from DHL Express shows that small and mid-sized companies seem to be beating the odds. DHL Express surveyed more than 400 customers—all small or mid-sized businesses in the United States—and found that despite the prevailing economic turmoil, most are confident in their business outlook.
