A little info from Ron in his own words
I hail from Brooklyn, Newyork, I’m a retired Army Warrant Officer that served our nation for 25 years. Shortly after graduating from high school, I found myself in basic training at FT. Sill Oklahoma. I entered service at 17 promising my mother I would continue my education if she allowed me to join the Army in lieu of college. I'm proud to announce that I've earned my Master's degree in business while serving. After retiring from service, my wife and I decided Killeen, TX was where we wanted to settle.
While I was transitioning from service, I was way behind the power curve, because I still had not picked my new career path. As luck would have it, my wife and I wanted to buy another home. At the time, I didn’t think any Real Estate Agent was worth 6% of my hard-earned money, so I entered the market as a FSBO. I could write a book covering all of the mistakes I made (boy was I naïve). Cutting to the chase - there I was, sign in the yard and one ad in the local paper, marketing at its best! That’s when my wife, with her infinite wisdom, sat up in bed then asked: “What do we do if somebody wants to buy?” Well, I’m sure at least 50% of you can guess, my testosterone prevented me from admitting my ignorance. So, that morning, I secretly searched and found a local real estate school.
It was during that real estate course that I found my passion for real estate. Couple that with my fondness for people and you’ll find that I put my heart in every transaction.
I'm blessed that God has paired me with a wonderful woman of God for 33 years Johanna Cooks. We have two children De'Andre (deceased) and Johwanna. Johwanna has blessed us with 3 amazing grandkids: Jayden 16, Jeremiah 13, and Jiselle 3. Finally our two furballs Buffy (poodle) and Bear (pomeranian).
Currently, I'm a broker associate/managing partner with All City Real Estate Ltd. covering Central Texas. I have the honor of coaching, counseling, mentoring and training over 80 wonderful real estate professionals.
