Life’s been throwing haymakers, but the tank’s not empty. Danny and Tyler catch up after a long break to talk about everything from government chaos and the madness of paper bureaucracy to small-town politics, digital sanity, and staying grounded when life keeps swinging.

They dive deep into No Quarter as a mindset—refusing to give weakness any room to grow—and how acceptance, gratitude, and community can keep you fueled when your mental and emotional tanks run low. Tyler opens up about finishing his final round of cancer treatment and the strange mix of sadness, strength, and new perspective that comes with recovery. Danny shares updates on coaching, fundraising, and the joy of watching young wrestlers grow.

There’s plenty of humor and real-life grit too: dog training disasters, road rage restraint, why Main Street traffic is the ultimate patience test, and how friendship and men’s groups keep them both sane.

“I didn’t adopt a dog—I adopted a training partner.”

This episode also includes a heartfelt dedication to Berlin Birmingham, a reminder to every man out there that you’re not alone.

Shoutouts:
• Salt Electrolytes – solid gear and even better conversations
• Mountain Elite Massage – men’s group collaboration in the works
• ATC Jeremy – out there crushing it on set and in life

For anyone feeling worn down, burnt out, or just trying to keep the wheels turning, this one’s for you. Because even when life hits hard… the gas tank ain’t empty yet.

“If your tank feels empty, reach out. We’ve got fuel to spare.”

Danny (00:00):
Welcome. We're back. We're doing it. Yeah, we're
back.

Tyler (00:11):
We're doing it.

Danny (00:12):
We have. It's kind of like a sporadic now. Right? Just
for a minute longer. I mean, Ithink we'll get back into a
groove of things like once weget like It's wild.
Dialed

Tyler (00:20):
I don't even remember the last time we podcast. That's the
sad, that's the hard, that's ahard part for me because it's
been so consistent, but this hasbeen the year of like life
disruption. I mean, I've saidthat for the last three years,
but it seems to be like, it'slike Theo Von says, it's amazing
how life comes at you.

Danny (00:38):
Yeah. Right.

Tyler (00:39):
Then there's more life. Here's some more life.

Danny (00:41):
Yeah. Here's some more. Here's some more Yeah. For you
to to to gasp and to to to goafter.

Tyler (00:47):
Yeah. Excuse me.

Danny (00:48):
The last time we talked was three weeks ago.

Tyler (00:52):
Dang. Yeah.

Danny (00:53):
Yeah. Because we had since then, we've had a couple
of things. Maybe it was rightafter

Tyler (00:58):
competed? Oh, yeah. Yeah. It was right after Tripp Tripp
competed.

Danny (01:01):
I think we came over here after Tripp's competition,
maybe. Right? Yeah. Kinda seemslike

Tyler (01:05):
And he was in Chicago.

Danny (01:07):
Chicago. Yeah. Kinda seems like that's what happened.
Right? Yeah.
Yeah. We we we make every planand intention to, to go. I also
like my, my, my life isdisrupted right now. Right?

Tyler (01:22):
Yeah. That happens. You're in the, you're in the
thick of the government. Andwe're feeling it in the
corporate world. Right?
Like a government's a big a bigsection of our business. You
know, we do business with theFAA

Danny (01:34):
and Yeah. You said that.

Tyler (01:35):
Army and like army has so many printers, man. They want to
save some money.

Danny (01:40):
Get rid of printers.

Tyler (01:42):
You know, should do is yeah, replace the printers with
digital documents. Come on.Yeah. I don't know why we're
still doing print documents.

Danny (01:49):
You know, what's funny at my work, we have, we have this
schedule on, we have a scheduleprinted on, like we, we see the
schedule printed. Yeah. Right. We know that we're supposed to
check all of these things and weput our initials and we, we put
our little, our little data fourdigit pin number. Yeah.

(02:11):
Right? That says that you didyour briefings before work.
Every day before work, Tyler,I'm supposed to look at the
weather. I'm supposed to monitorthe weather. I'm supposed to
monitor any things that havechanged.
So we have these briefings thatwe get every day and they come
to us on on a computer that we'dall log into. And you check your
you check them all before youcheck everything before you go

(02:33):
to work. Before you go to work, you have to do these things. You
have to sign in. You have tocheck this weather.
You have to sign that youchecked the weather. You have to
check your briefings. You haveto sign that you checked your
briefing. And when you checkyour briefing, you have to do it
in three different places.Right?

Tyler (02:48):
Triple checks.

Danny (02:49):
It's the same briefing. Yeah. But you have to put your
pin number in three differenttimes. Yeah. Right?
So Like

Tyler (02:56):
fail safes.

Danny (02:57):
Then we also have printed papers of all of that. I get so
mad about I'm like, why do youguys do this? Like I told the
other day, other day, I waslike, do you guys waste trees?
Well, what do you mean? Look atI mean, look at how much better
we're doing.
It's like, really? You, you cando better by just having people
making sure that the that we doit. You don't have to print
papers to ensure to fourquadrupled that we've already

(03:21):
done this shit, you know? And soI don't know why we still do
printed paper of stuff. Mosteverything I mean, get mail
sometimes and I'm like, I know Isigned up for the printed or the
emailed portion of this.
Don't send me your shit Yeah. Ona paper. Yeah. Just for no
reason. Yeah.
Ain't that weird that we'regonna go away from that someday

(03:42):
though?

Tyler (03:43):
I mean, there's some areas where paper is super
helpful, but like the more I getaway from it, the more I'm like,
I really don't miss it. Yeah. Ireally don't miss it. It's it's
it's shocking to me. And I guesslike maybe in titles title work,
right, there's still a use forpaper.

Danny (03:58):
I mean, most things digital signed anyway.

Tyler (04:01):
I mean, it it feels like anymore now digital is the way
to go. Digital is the you knowwhat I mean? What do you do
though when like the the digitalgoes down? If the digital goes
down?

Danny (04:12):
Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. Where's everything
at?

Tyler (04:15):
And you gotta have some sort of hard archive like that.
You know what

Danny (04:19):
I mean? I don't know. I don't know either.

Tyler (04:21):
That's, guess this is what Tyler Durden was trying to
find out by resetting the banks.

Danny (04:25):
Yeah. See what happens. Yeah. Yeah. We right now, it's
wild to me that we still do thethings that we're doing.
The fact that like, you know, Iknow that this whole government
shutdown is not based on likeanything else except for

(04:46):
posturing. They want to getthings done. You know, we have
these young kids at work and Iworry about them because, you
know, you go from making apretty good amount of money on
your paycheck to not to, youknow, having a couple hours, you
know, eight, sixteen hours, maybe shy sometimes. And these
kids are pretty stressed out.Yeah.

(05:08):
And we make pretty good money, you know, but it's the first
time dealing with it. And thenright now we're in the news so
much with like this, like stickout and them telling us
threatening, well, it's just acouple of bad apples, so we'll
just go ahead and fire them. Andyou're like, you just said that
we're short staffed. Youliterally just said that we're
short staffed and you're goingdo whatever it takes to keep our
staffing numbers high and to getmore staffing. And now you're

(05:31):
like, actually, you know, if youif you if you're disposable,
then we'll just fire you.
But then I also am in the in thegovernment and I go into work
and I see people there that I'mlike, yeah, you're the person
that should be fired, dude. Youdon't do nothing. Yeah. You
literally don't do anything.Yeah.
You know, you and and a lot oftimes they'll use, you know, if

(05:53):
you go there and you get alittle rough with them, they'll
file a file a hazardous workenvironment harassing.

Tyler (05:58):
Yeah, you're making it. Yeah.

Danny (06:00):
And you're like, what? I mean, I know the government
needs needs some sort ofoverhaul, but is it for you to,
you know, politically charge it?I don't know.

Tyler (06:10):
Dude, it feels like there is a palpable tension in the
area. Just in our neighborhood.Like, I mean, in our community,
local communities, right? Like

Danny (06:17):
Heber for sure. Right?

Tyler (06:19):
You don't have to like drive very far to have people
just on edge.

Danny (06:22):
I know.

Tyler (06:23):
And we're in the middle of like, it is it's election
season primarily like like forlocal government and stuff like
that. Yeah. Yeah, nobody's niceto each other. There's no more
decorum. Right?
This long gone are the days ofReagan versus Mondale. Right?
Like this kind of like politicaldecorum. Right?

Danny (06:40):
Well, you used to be able to walk around, you know, going
through Heber and I mean, everywhere you went, you would
see somebody that you knew.Yeah. Now you go there and
you're like, I don't know any ofthese people. Hardly. Know?
And then most people, you know, have probably not lived in Heber
when it was like so nice to livein Heber. And I lived, we both
got here, you know, I mean earlyenough to experience it, but not

(07:03):
like at the good part.

Tyler (07:05):
Not in

Danny (07:05):
the like one stoplight in town. Now we have a stoplight. I
mean, they had to put astoplight on the edge of your
was an accident there lastSaturday

Tyler (07:14):
or Sunday, there was an accident.

Danny (07:16):
I sit there and I'm like, Oh my gosh. Every time before I
go out, I'm like praying that Ijudge that car correctly or, you
know, judge something correctly.Yeah. It's just a weird, it's so
fast. It's sixty, seventy milesan hour right here.
Yeah. And cars turning intothat, you know? Yeah. Does Ben
drive the back?

Tyler (07:35):
I he yeah, he's pretty he doesn't like to be on the
highway.

Danny (07:37):
Me either.

Tyler (07:38):
And I don't blame him. Like, I tell him take the back
way. But even the back way thesedays is like, it's crazy.

Danny (07:44):
Said the day that somebody dump trucks.

Tyler (07:46):
Yeah. So going down like twelve hundred twelve hundred
South. Right? Like you're goingout towards to get to Mill Road.
Right?
It goes from two lanes to onelane. It's pretty well
advertised. And I'm just kind ofgoing along, keeping the pace of
traffic. And I kind of look overand there's like big silver
trucks coming over into my lane.I like, I start honking.
I'm like, they're coming intome. They should have merged
either behind me or sped upThere in front of wouldn't have

(08:08):
been enough room for them tohave sped up in front of me.
They really, really just kind ofI think we're trying to be
dicks.

Danny (08:13):
Just expected you to slow down.

Tyler (08:14):
Yeah. Just expected me to slow down. And when I didn't,
you know, she the woman in thecar flips me the bird. That's
the double deuces. Me and Bannersitting there, we're just like

Danny (08:24):
Was she driving or was her

Tyler (08:26):
He her husband was driving.

Danny (08:27):
So I just I came to a complete stop. He said

Tyler (08:29):
They got behind me.

Danny (08:30):
Give him the bird.

Tyler (08:30):
They got behind me and I just came to a complete stop.
Middle of the road.

Danny (08:33):
Dude. Just a complete stop. Well, don't know. Right? I
mean, like, man, you don't knowanymore.
I don't.

Tyler (08:39):
And then I just as soon as he stopped, I just like I
just kept going and moved on.I'm not Crazy.

Danny (08:44):
You know? Yeah. I'm like, this this woman's this woman's
fingers are right in Chuck'shomeboys. Yeah. That he's gonna

Tyler (08:49):
He might not be able to cash.

Danny (08:51):
Yeah. Right? He's like, yeah, give him the burden until
something happens. He's like, man, I told you not to do that.
Don't get my ass right.

Tyler (08:57):
We pulled up to that stop sign at mill at mill. And I
said, Ben, if I see him gettingout of his car, I'm charging his
door before he even gets out of

Danny (09:04):
the car.

Tyler (09:05):
I'm like, I don't know what to do. He's behind me. He's
got the,

Danny (09:09):
you know, the element of surprise. Yeah.

Tyler (09:11):
But it's, you don't know. And I don't want to be that way.
I don't want to be all on edge.I'm already like on edge because
my meds have got me all whacked.Just whacked.

Danny (09:19):
What are you on? What are you at right now? You're on
last. Oh, you just finished yourfourth. You are about to start

Tyler (09:25):
Fourth round of arsenic.

Danny (09:26):
And that's it. I'm done. One more round. Four weeks

Tyler (09:30):
and I'm done.

Danny (09:31):
And you're done. And, and really though, I mean, like for
all your purposes, like you'recancer free.

Tyler (09:36):
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, we know that we know that now that
I'm cancer free, but like, yeah,we're with double dead. Right.
You know, they really want tomake sure

Danny (09:43):
make sure it's gone.

Tyler (09:43):
Make sure it's gone.

Danny (09:44):
Wow. What a crazy, I mean, like, and then it's like,
okay, just for a moment, let mefucking breathe.

Tyler (09:53):
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm hoping that 2026, like, knock on
wood is like smooth free. Butlike, we're, you know, we're
experiencing our own growthgrowth pains at work and
corporate world's crazy.
You know what I mean? It's it'sinteresting. Right? You've seen
what's happened to gold andsilver? Oh, gold's like $4,000
an ounce right now.
It's What? It's like a recordhigh. Silver's closing in on $50

(10:16):
an

Danny (10:16):
ounce. What?

Tyler (10:17):
Yeah. Excuse me. Pardon me. I'm I'm dealing with some
stuffy stuffs, but yeah. Gold isgoing crazy right now.

Danny (10:23):
Are you allergic to dogs?

Tyler (10:25):
I don't know if I'm allergic to dogs or it's just
the seasons changing because I'mnow constantly out all always
outside. But I'm not ruling outallergic to dogs because I did
did adopt a new puppy.

Danny (10:37):
You did. This thing is not a puppy.

Tyler (10:39):
It's not a puppy.

Danny (10:40):
I mean, is for all intents and purposes.

Tyler (10:42):
She's not

Danny (10:42):
I thought she was gonna be down here so she could be
running back and forth and

Tyler (10:45):
like Yeah.

Danny (10:46):
And then the the the the we could see her. Yeah.

Tyler (10:48):
So We'll introduce her at some point and she's got to go
to doggy daycare. We're workingon doing a two week intensive
with this dude down in SpanishFork. He's he's Melonoise is his
specialty. He's like, he's like,it's $2,000 I have her for two
weeks and you get back acompletely different dog.

Danny (11:05):
You have adopted, which is crazy that that dog was, so
you into the kennel with theidea or did you know that she
was there?

Tyler (11:13):
So, you know, I'm on Facebook marketplace is the only
reason you use Facebook. Right?Facebook marketplace.

Danny (11:18):
Yeah. Why not?

Tyler (11:19):
And so all kinds of crazy buy sell trade stuff that you
just like, it's the equivalentof reading the toilet, the

Danny (11:26):
Yeah. The paper.

Tyler (11:27):
Shampoo on the

Danny (11:29):
the toilet. The classifieds.

Tyler (11:30):
Yeah. Yeah.

Danny (11:30):
It's funny because I not to cut your story out, but, you
know, you like every once inwhile you'll kick on something
and it'll be like, let's sayit's a boat, click on the boat
and then you know you got yougot boobs in your face. Yeah.
It's like, what the hell? That'sa good ploy.

Tyler (11:43):
That's it. That's it. That's it. They sell the sell
the boat with the boobies. Withthe boobs.

Danny (11:49):
So yeah, so you're on marketplace. You're on Facebook
marketplace.

Tyler (11:51):
I'm scrolling in it's like local Heber, think pause
for life. And I'm like, oh,she's cute. I've kind of looked
at this particular breed. Whichis? German Shepherd Malinois, we
think.
Everybody's everybody says Looks

Danny (12:03):
like it.

Tyler (12:03):
Everybody says she's a Malinois. Everybody that looks
like her says she's a Malinois.

Danny (12:06):
I would 100% agree.

Tyler (12:07):
I agree too.

Danny (12:08):
Her face has the German Shepherd look on her face.

Tyler (12:11):
Yep. She definitely has like the little malligator nip
that she does. So we'll see. Isent off a genetics test. We'll
see.
We adopted her for $65 and I'mlike

Danny (12:21):
She's already fixed?

Tyler (12:22):
Nope. We gotta get her fixed.

Danny (12:23):
Oh, she's not fixed now? She's not fixed now. Oh, shit.

Tyler (12:25):
Yeah. That's okay.

Danny (12:26):
Don't put a bone near her.

Tyler (12:27):
No. No. Yeah. No. She's the even the kennel that I'm
taking her to is like, oh, wedon't typically so that's the
we've got to wait for her to getfixed so she can even go to boot
camp.
But they're saying once she goesto boot camp, it's like a whole
different talk.

Danny (12:39):
We have I'll get you a number because there's a place
in town, I think, it's not likea backdoor bringer in there.
There's somebody here in townthat like does it pretty good.

Tyler (12:49):
I met with Warren and I'm like, oh, she's sweet. Maybe
she'd be sweet to work withCozy.

Danny (12:54):
But I I'm up to get her fixed.

Tyler (12:57):
Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, good. Because I've I've I've
heard questionable things aboutwhen I've signed up.

Danny (13:02):
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You wanna be careful with that.
Yeah.
You want it to be pretty quickand painless, which it should
be. Yeah. You know, in and out.Yeah. And so you you go pick her
up and

Tyler (13:13):
We go actually, we just went to go meet her. I'm like,
I've looked at this like, welooked in December, February,
like whenever all the kids weredown here and we looked at a
German Shepherd at the puppymill. So cute. They wanted like
$4 for her.

Danny (13:25):
Wow.

Tyler (13:26):
Know, for a German Shepherd, I'm like, whatever.
They're like, have a paymentplan. I'm like, this puppy mill,
screw them. I would have neverbought from a puppy mill anyway,
but, you know, you care whereyou get these things sometimes,
I think. But, she was there.
She cuddled right up to myyoungest, Cozy. She's kind of a
little bit skittish around men.Her and Cozy, obviously, now

(13:46):
we're having to work out theirrelationship.

Danny (13:49):
Does she do a good okay with Ben?

Tyler (13:51):
Yeah. Yeah. She does good with anybody who can like, with
authority. She's also though ateenager. Right?
Her and Cozy are the same age inin their adolescent. Right?

Danny (14:00):
Okay.

Tyler (14:01):
So like Cozy is really sweet with her, but that doesn't
necessarily translate. Cozy hasgot to be like Riley. You know
what I mean? Like, you have tobe kind of authoritative. They
don't they don't respond toemotion the way we respond to
emotion.

Danny (14:13):
Especially those ones.

Tyler (14:14):
Yeah. You don't cuddle them and they're like, they
don't think, oh, this personloves me. They think I'm doing
something good because you'reyou're being sweet to them.
Yeah. They'll just do more ofthat.

Danny (14:22):
And then they'll be and they're also so intelligent that
they pick up on any littlething. Yeah. That's like, oh, I
can, I can expose this? Yeah. That she was also doing some
things of like pushing, tryingto get her way with And I was
like, no, you're not gonna getyour way.

Tyler (14:39):
Yeah. Yeah.

Danny (14:40):
Because the other thing is, is once they realize that
they can and they will, likeestablish a little bit of
dominance, then you can't, youcan't get that back unless you
grab them, hold them on theground and be like, no. Yeah.
Yeah. Like, yeah. Kind of dogwhere you need to be like, nah,

Tyler (14:56):
you

Danny (14:56):
can't do that to me. Yeah. You know? Yeah. Yeah.
My buddy's dog, he had one.Yeah. It was Cujo is what we
call it. Cujo. Oh my god.
It was terrifying because, youknow, you get most for the most
part, they're very kind. They'revery they're very loyal, but
they have that, like, trigger ofI was telling that story of the

(15:17):
thing where it says, here's aGerman shepherd and the guy's
standing across the room. Yeah. And there's a bunch of chairs
and the German Shepherd goesweaving its way through. Get the
guy get the guy, bite the guy, take him down.
Yeah. The Belgian Malinois jumpsover all the chairs and just
attacks the guy. That's what howhis dog was. Yeah. And so it bit

(15:37):
him regularly bit him and theywould have to like hold it and
he would be like holding him andlike trying to like choke the
shit out of him because he's gotto establish dominance.
The dog was like, yeah, you'renot doing that to me. Yeah. I'm
the I'm alpha in thisrelationship. Yeah. So it ended
up happening to, you know, sendhim to a he ended up going to be
a search and rescue dog.

(15:57):
Yeah. Yeah. But it's likeprobably muzzled and he's
probably I mean, the other thingis like, they gotta work. He's a
working dog.

Tyler (16:03):
When they get bored when can tell when she gets bored,
I'll be sitting like working, she'll get she'll come nip at
me, like nip on my heels.

Danny (16:10):
Time to go.

Tyler (16:10):
Yep. I didn't I didn't adopt a dog. I adopted a
training partner.

Danny (16:15):
Oh, yeah.

Tyler (16:15):
I mean, she's up at six and wants she wants a mile.
Yeah. We did six miles yesterdayI was like exhausted and she was
ready to do more.

Danny (16:24):
So You also went to the the other day you went to the
hot springs, right?

Tyler (16:27):
Oh yeah. We went up we went up Fifth Water Hot Springs.
Have you ever been up there?

Danny (16:31):
I've never been there. Oh. I've never been there. I've
heard the hike is amazing. And Iheard if you're lucky, you get
there and there's not that manypeople.
But if you're unlucky, it'slike, it's like spring break.

Tyler (16:39):
Yeah, it is. It is. I didn't it wasn't too crazy. It
was pretty crazy. It was rainy, but it was it was it was awesome
up there.
It is an awesome hike. And thethe springs are amazing but it's
like it it is. There's a lot ofpeople.

Danny (16:55):
Yeah. That's what I've heard.

Tyler (16:56):
And it about a six mile hike too.

Danny (16:58):
Oh, yeah.

Tyler (16:59):
I think because you don't you can if you can get a parking
space in the parking lot, you'relike at three.

Danny (17:05):
Okay. But if you can, then you're hiking the length of
your parking spot to thetrailhead.

Tyler (17:11):
To the trailhead.

Danny (17:11):
Have you noticed any of your have you noticed that
you've lost weight? That youfeel better?

Tyler (17:15):
I mean, I feel better moving. It's better for me to,
you know, as I've, as I studykind of the chemical reactions
of these medicines, specificallythis ATRA, it's good for me to
be moving, you know, trying toget to jujitsu, trying to, you
know, get back into the normalnormalcy of things. I have like
no attention span for anythingright now though.

Danny (17:34):
Really?

Tyler (17:34):
It just feels like everything is switched on. I'm
exhausted yet I'm Yeah. I'mawake. Yeah.

Danny (17:41):
Are you still doing the weed to off balance some of this
stuff?

Tyler (17:46):
Some. I've the weed was starting to make me really
anxious and so, and that wasreally more for nausea. And so
there's another drug calledlorazepam, which is like a
Valium that it's pretty good. Itmakes me tired, but I can like
the anxious, it just theanxious, the anxiety just kind
of goes away.

Danny (18:06):
Really?

Tyler (18:06):
That just kind of goes away.

Danny (18:08):
Okay. And then are you, you anxious for this last four
weeks to just kind of get overor you just like, I'm going to
stay present? Are you like, fuck, let's just get this over
with?

Tyler (18:22):
I don't know. I'm kind of sad, man. I've made a lot of
friends. I mean, I'm kind ofmissed the people. Like the
people in the hospital werereally caring and kind of, you
just kind of look forward toseeing them and, you know, Any

Danny (18:34):
good looking nurses? Boy or girls?

Tyler (18:39):
Yes. No. Yes. All of the above. Sometimes you only see
the face and you're like, oh.
Yeah. I don't know. I feel likeI did the nurse thing already
and it was a fun ride, but we'rewe

Danny (18:52):
Moved on.

Tyler (18:52):
Moved on.

Danny (18:54):
Yeah. Good.

Tyler (18:55):
Yeah. Yeah. Man things, man. Man things. Yeah.
And what about you?

Danny (19:00):
Great. I mean

Tyler (19:01):
You training?

Danny (19:01):
Training a bunch.

Tyler (19:02):
Well, you were supposed to fight this weekend.

Danny (19:03):
I was supposed to have a fight this weekend. The guy that
signed up, he was he was there.Tripp and I both had fights and
then we didn't. So we're goingto the coach where you've been
training a bunch. We've beenTripp, I mean, know, we're kind
of like, we're ramping up forwrestling, but we're also kind
of like not, you know, we wehave a camp coming up on next

(19:28):
Saturday and we're excited forthat.
We have some good clinicians. Wehave two kids that wrestled for
me, wrestled with Tripp in highschool and junior high. And
they're going to come up. Theywrestled. They actually live in
Park City, but they wrestled atWasatch Lake trip.
And they're going to come andhang out. Our, one of our

(19:48):
coaches got hurt. He got into amotorcycle accident, Got the
speed wobbles going down thestreet. And I guess as it
corrected and he corrected, itthrew him into a tree and he
shattered his bottom half of hisleg.

Tyler (20:03):
There's a term for that. I forgot they teach you in like
motorcycle class.

Danny (20:07):
You should not be on a motorcycle. So now he's out
potentially for the season. Soit might be just Tripp and I and
Larry, and Jared will be there, but, you know, we may have to
look for another coach. But wegot 12, sometimes 15 kids out
there, which is insane. That'sgood.
But there's really good, reallygreat kids that are coming out.

(20:27):
Lots of kids that are first timewrestlers, but pretty athletic.
Park City has this like amazingability to have really athletic
individuals.

Tyler (20:37):
I think that do you think it's the the it definitely
promotes the outdoor lifestyle.Right? You see that. I see that
working at the rink. Likeeverybody's out, Right?
It attracts outsider typepeople. Yep. People don't want
to be out and doing activities.

Danny (20:49):
And I think just because of the the wealth Yeah. That
sometimes those wealth equalsthe opportunity. Yeah. Wealth
equals opportunity within. Wehave one thing that we're
working on hard is like theHispanic community.
And even some of those kids arejust so athletically gifted. I
mean, you've you've trained withAlex, right? Like little Alex,

(21:11):
he's on the wrestling team andhe's man picks things up and
like picks them up and then cancan do it right then. So he's
got an athletic gift. Right?
Yeah. He was on the mountainbike team.

Tyler (21:21):
Oh, cool.

Danny (21:22):
Know, rode his bike everywhere. Rode his bike to
park rode sorry, rode his biketo train rode his bike to
training. We have we just have alot of fun stuff going on. We've
got some fundraiser goingfundraiser We we came on, I was
telling Tyler, we got 500poinsettias that we're gonna
We're gonna do some other stuffto try to get fundraising up. So

(21:44):
we we we've got a lot going on.
Right? Plus work. Misty'sworking a bunch. So that's She

Tyler (21:52):
Does she have a busy season or is it like now that
it's the weather's turning orpeople coming in more?

Danny (21:56):
Is it pretty much just kind of steady? From what I
gather from her and Krystal isthat currently it's about to
start to get wild. Yeah. It'sabout to get really busy and
they're doing some really coolstuff there, you know, and
they're thriving, Tyler. When Itell you they're thriving, they
are Good.

(22:16):
And it's funny to see theirrelationship, you know, we've,
we've gone on vacation to placesto go and market research some
things. And it's funny to seetheir relationship. Yeah.
They're exactly what each otherneeds. Yeah.
You know, Krystal's super kind. She's super caring. She's she
sometimes gets herself where shedoesn't like, maybe she needs to

(22:37):
stand up for herself, you know, and she's and then she has Misty
who will be like, you know, andthey're like, no, you can't do
that. You know, and they'll andthey'll they'll off balance each
other. Then Misty can sometimesbe a little rough on the edges.
Right? She if she can come offrough. Right? Yeah. So she has
Krystal who can offset that withtheir kindness, you know?
But then when they both gettheir minds set Yeah. It's like

(22:59):
it's like an unstoppable object.

Tyler (23:03):
Yeah. They figure out how to just kind of

Danny (23:04):
And they're doing some really cool things like, you
know, now they're doing a lot ofpackages and things. Oh yeah.
Yeah. So you come in there andyou're like, Hey, we want to you
should come back more often. We're going to make you a good
customer.
If you come back, we're going togive you, you know, we're going
to give you these, these things. If you come back and be by this

(23:25):
package, sure. It's a lot ofmoney upfront. Right? And I
personally took that into my ownMisty kind of explained it to me
and then she kind of helped mebecause she's really good at
like, she's a really goodsalesperson.
Misty is. And she kind of likesees when she gets you excited,
then she's like, okay, I gotyou. Right? So she helped me

(23:47):
develop where I do one on oneswith wrestling, one on ones with
some of the younger kids. And soI, she helped me develop a
package of like how many timesthey'll do it, how much they're
going to pay me.
And I've been like sellingpackages, you know, this. And
she'll help me like, oh, this iswhat you need to say. And if
they, if they start to waffle, here's what you do. You know,
you kind of add some incentive, you know? And so it's been

(24:11):
really fun.
It's been really fun.

Tyler (24:14):
Yeah.

Danny (24:16):
And we both had birthdays. Yes, we did. We both
had birthdays. We both hadbirthdays, which means that
we're technically on year threeand some change of doing this.
Yeah.
I turned 47 on the twentyseventh and on the twenty sixth,
you turned 44. 44. Yeah. And sowe had our birthdays. We had, I

(24:38):
mean, that's a birthdays areinteresting.
Right? Because either you lovethem or you don't.

Tyler (24:46):
Yeah.

Danny (24:47):
And where do you sit? Do you enjoy them?

Tyler (24:50):
I don't know. I used to get really excited for them.
Sure. But I don't know. I grewup with parents that like, you
know, my mom would make a bigdeal but she would like there
was an expectation like she wasnever gonna deliver anything
like really spectacular likeother than just

Danny (25:06):
Be there.

Tyler (25:06):
Be there. And I I mean, I love my mother's birthdays to
death. She actually came out formy birthday.

Danny (25:11):
That's

Tyler (25:11):
right. Made dinner for me. It was amazing. I loved it.
We spent the weekend together.
We we took her to Sundance and,you know, she was she's always
very thoughtful with her gift. Her gift is like generally one
of the most thoughtful thingsever.

Danny (25:23):
She put some effort into it.

Tyler (25:24):
Yeah. Like really thanks. And I'm to the point where like,
don't I don't necessarily needthat now. Like, I really just
enjoyed that she came out andspent time with me, spent time
with the kids.

Danny (25:33):
Yeah. You know, and so it's great.

Tyler (25:35):
And, know, my dad, he calls every year. So,

Danny (25:39):
you know, there's been years where he's been in

Tyler (25:41):
his own world and he hasn't. So for me, it's more
like do my kids my kidsremember? Do they make a big
deal?

Danny (25:48):
Did they?

Tyler (25:49):
Yeah. I don't know. I think Cozy did like I think they
all wished me happy birthday, but it wasn't more than like

Danny (25:55):
Yeah. Just a happy birthday. Just a happy birthday.
Which is fine. Yeah.

Tyler (26:00):
Are you a birthday? Are you a birthday guy? Are you a
birthday guy?

Danny (26:02):
I like to celebrate everybody's birthday, but
sometimes like, you know, Idon't have any expectations.
Yeah. This year we went toColorado for my birthday.

Tyler (26:12):
That's cool.

Danny (26:13):
Which was awesome. Yeah. Oh my gosh. It was so fun. We
had such a good time.
We, We Misty and I drove out onThursday night and we went to
the hot springs in GlenwoodSprings. We went there. We went
to Vapor Caves. I know.

Tyler (26:30):
You told

Danny (26:30):
me about that. Gosh, it's such a good time. Glenwood's
great, man. I they've got itfigured out and I've heard that
that's this is the kind of likeHeber Main Street. They're gonna
they're gonna build where likeyou go, it's over the top of the
buildings and then you can andthen everybody walks on the main
Street.
So like the thruway will go andit will be like an overpass

(26:54):
almost. And then the buildingswill be underneath them. I've
heard this that this is kind oflike in the works for Downtown
Heber, which that's how Glenwoodis. Everything is like elevated
for the like the cars areelevated and then all of the
businesses are down on thebottom. I think it's a good
idea.
I was trying to figure out howthat was going to work in Main

(27:15):
Street Heber, but it would be agood idea.

Tyler (27:18):
Anything to save the traffic on Main Street. Right?

Danny (27:20):
Yeah. No, we don't need the lights. It's a nightmare.
Plus they need to take thetrucks off there. I hate this.

Tyler (27:25):
The biggest thing is the trucks.

Danny (27:27):
I hate that shit.

Tyler (27:28):
The biggest thing is the biggest thing is just the
through, right? Like just thethrough, the people cutting
through.

Danny (27:32):
And they just, man, people are just so rude on that
road. No. No. No local is onthat road. There's no locals on
that road.
It's all people trying to getthrough Heber. Yep. But nobody
if you live in town, you are notgoing on Heber, Maine.

Tyler (27:49):
If every time I go on Main Street, I'm like, I made a
mistake. Yep. I've never like, there's not been probably in the
past three years, I've notdriven on Maine

Danny (27:58):
Yeah.

Tyler (27:58):
And been like, this is a good idea.

Danny (28:00):
Yeah. We we we Misty, you know, Mountain Elite massage is
on. Mhmm. Technically on MainStreet, it's just on the
backside of Main Street, youknow? And so there's times when
I have to go adjust the signs orthings like that.
And there's always chat. There'salways foot traffic on there. So

(28:23):
it would make sense to be ableto figure out a way to like get
everybody off and just keep foottraffic on there. Just only foot
traffic. There's no other,nothing else.
Park somewhere else, you know, and keep it just foot traffic on
Heber Main.

Tyler (28:37):
Have some parking rides. I don't know. I don't know.
I've, I've known it's a problem.I know like the high density
housing people complain aboutagain, that's my Facebook time
on Facebook.
That's what I'm reading. Peoplebitch about who's

Danny (28:48):
running for president, who's running for mayor and
who's who's selling out to thethe the money. The money. Yeah.
The developers and who's

Tyler (28:58):
in whose pockets and everybody's got an opinion.
Everybody's got an overreaction.Everybody wants to be heard and
everybody's right.

Danny (29:06):
Everybody's right.

Tyler (29:07):
Everybody's right.

Danny (29:07):
Well, it goes back to like what you said at the very
beginning. We have this likenarrative right now of everybody
gets an opinion and you can likefight like a motherfucker for
your opinion. And you can sayyour opinion. And honestly, like
without, we don't have to evenhave to do it in front of each
other. Can just do it on a textthread or we can do it on a
Facebook post or we can like, somebody can say, I was reading,

(29:30):
you know, I have some cousinsthat are really, really smart
and they're, they're veryeducated.
They're very worldly. I wouldsay military guys travel a lot.
They have a, they're not just, you know, they're not just
people that make comments. Before they make the comment,
they or before they share thethread, they're they they put
some thought into it. Yeah.

(29:51):
And I have a cousin that thatshared a couple threads and one
guy, all he put was, you're anidiot. Yeah. And I was like,
you're only doing that becauseyou can do it on this. Yeah. And
and people he somebody said thatto him.
He goes, no, I'd say it to hisface. It's like, no, you
wouldn't. Yeah. You oh, youwould, but you would know that
what's going to happen. Right?
Yeah. You're gonna be, you'regonna say it, but you're

(30:12):
prepared for a fight. Yeah. Youknow, you're not prepared for
like somebody to be like, it'sokay if you talk to me like
that.

Tyler (30:18):
Right. And if by fight, you mean mostly just posturing
and

Danny (30:21):
I mean, my cousin probably punched him in his
face.

Tyler (30:23):
They probably swing. They come to blows.

Danny (30:25):
I would. I would. If you did that, if you said that shit
to me, I'm not like

Tyler (30:28):
I mean, I I think you're you're probably right. Each each
each dynamic is is but I thinkin general, I don't you think
people are really ready?

Danny (30:35):
No. Fuck no. They're not. No. That's why they wouldn't say
them to each other's face.
Yeah. They'd probably agree alittle bit more. Probably like
have a little bit less oomph.Yeah. Right?

Tyler (30:45):
Yeah. Yeah.

Danny (30:45):
You get these personalities, you know, and I
and I don't get too involved inpolitics because I'm middle
class. Yeah. It's not like theRepublican Party cares about me.
I'm middle class. Yeah.
Yeah. And not like the Democratscare about me. I'm middle class.
I pay my taxes. Yep.
I pay for my groceries. Yep. Ipay my bills on time.

Tyler (31:05):
That's kind of me. That's kind of, that's

Danny (31:06):
kind I'm worried about my creditors.

Tyler (31:07):
Yeah. Yeah.

Danny (31:08):
You know? Yeah. I'm not, I'm not making enough money that
I don't have bills. Right. Ordebt.
Yeah. I'm not, I'm in themiddle. Yeah. Nobody cares about
me.

Tyler (31:17):
Yeah. Nobody cares about me.

Danny (31:18):
Nobody. Yeah. They're not trying to get my vote.

Tyler (31:21):
No. They want my money.

Danny (31:22):
They want my money.

Tyler (31:23):
Yeah.

Danny (31:24):
And that's how I believe.

Tyler (31:25):
I'm a number with an income that provides to the
bigger Yeah.

Danny (31:30):
Yeah. And neither of us are going to like claim
bankruptcy every every year justso that we can live our life
that we want to. No, we work ourasses off and sometimes two,
three jobs hustle like amotherfucker. Yeah. You know,
get our kids to hustle, youknow?
But you get some of theseparties and some of these people

(31:52):
behind these parties and you'relike, you can't, you can't.
You're only talking like thatbecause you're on a stage and
you believe this is what's goingto get your party's vote.

Tyler (32:04):
We we've we've we've legislated this idea of safety,
I think. Right? Like, you know, how many of these interactions
should just end up in in, youknow, a fist of cuffs? You guys
know

Danny (32:20):
Office fight night.

Tyler (32:20):
Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. You know, you
throw some blows, you throw somehands, you somebody gets knocked
out and either you walk awayfrom it and you

Danny (32:28):
never talk to each other again or it's

Tyler (32:29):
but it's considered resolved. Resolved. Or you, you
know, you dust each other offand you have a beer after and
you you figure it out. Right?Like, we've kind of lost the
we've lost the concept of ofdanger.
What does it mean to bedangerous?

Danny (32:44):
Yeah.

Tyler (32:44):
You know what I mean?

Danny (32:45):
Or in danger, being in danger.

Tyler (32:47):
I mean, there's obviously this palpable fear that
everybody wants, you know, thatthat is being perpetuated,
right? Going to these eventslike, you know, this whole thing
that happened in Orem and then, you know, there's these things
that people Antifa or whateveris happening in Portland and
you're like, there are somereasons to feel unsafe. But in

(33:07):
our day to day interactions withother humans, we are marginally
safe.

Danny (33:11):
And we live in America.

Tyler (33:12):
We live in America.

Danny (33:13):
I mean, we're safe.

Tyler (33:14):
We feel yes.

Danny (33:16):
You know?

Tyler (33:16):
Yes. Yes. You know, we're not you know, you know, back in
the day, not very many not verylong ago, you you got the you
got the West out here, you gotthe frontier out here.

Danny (33:26):
We're still pretty young. Where we live is still pretty
young communities.

Tyler (33:31):
Right.

Danny (33:31):
As far as generationally.

Tyler (33:34):
Right.

Danny (33:34):
Right. You can you know that your great, great, great
grandpa lived here in Heber oryour great, great grandpa lived
here in Heber. Yeah. That's apretty young community. You're
young genetics.
Right?

Tyler (33:47):
Right.

Danny (33:47):
So the West is young. But back before Yeah. Like you said,
it's only a couple generationsago that they were killing each
other. Yeah. Just for likegetting a little out of turn.
Yeah. You know? Yeah. We're notthat far from it. Like you said,

Tyler (34:00):
Feels like we're going maybe going to sliding back to
that a little or like I don'tknow.

Danny (34:04):
It feels like we're doing it online.

Tyler (34:06):
Yeah. It feels more digital

Danny (34:08):
for sure. Digital. And it also feels like you and I can
just like, we don't have to havean opinion because we don't feel
like we have an opinion becausewe don't feel like we care. We
don't feel like anybody caresabout us.

Tyler (34:19):
Everybody's got an opinion, right? Everybody's got
an opinion and they all kind ofstink. Yeah. You know what I
mean? Like, you don't want toadd to the voice of the
nonsense.
Then you got like the other dayI was like, kids are showing me
all this AI stuff with thesevideos. My daughter sends me
this video. She's like, dad, this homeless man has just
walked into our house and I'mfreaking freaking out. I'm
flipping out. She sends me thisvideo.

(34:40):
She had she had asked GoogleGemini. She took a picture of
her front door and said, hey, make an eight minute video or
eight second video of a homelessman walking into my my room.

Danny (34:49):
Oh, that scared the shit out of me.

Tyler (34:50):
Yeah. It terrified

Danny (34:51):
I don't like that shit.

Tyler (34:52):
It terrified me.

Danny (34:53):
Well, and then going back to some of these things is like
you, you know, you're you'rewhat we see, what we hear on the
news, what we see is bullshit.Yes. It is 100% bullshit.

Tyler (35:06):
Whatever sells ad times.

Danny (35:07):
Whatever sells ad times. And whatever can get you bumped
to the top of the searchhistory.

Tyler (35:14):
That's so funny because I'm listening to the like, have
you followed the Zach Bryantcontroversy? Like his new song
lyric drops and it's like

Danny (35:22):
I know that I liked when he climbed the fence and
challenged that guy and that guywas like, had all those people
in front of me. And I was likeThat's a man that's doing
business. Like, come on, man.Like Yeah. He jumped over the
fence.
Yeah. Oh, he didn't meananything. You're like bullshit.
Jumped over the fence.

Tyler (35:35):
And it was a barbed wire fence.

Danny (35:36):
He came over the fence. Over the fence. That's all. I
only know that he's just in thenews. Yeah.
And each time I'm like, I likehim a little bit more. I don't
want them to get wrapped up insome of the bullshit, you know,
but I like him a little bitmore. Yeah. And I liked Gavin
Adcock. Yeah.
His music. But then I was like, kind of a bitch, man.

Tyler (35:53):
Kind of a bitch. Yeah. Shit fucking like threw your
tenant.

Danny (35:55):
You shit taking your cowboy boot off and throwing it
at him or something. Right? LikeThey're like kind of like not
tough.

Tyler (36:00):
Yeah.

Danny (36:01):
You know? Yeah. And then you're like, nah, wanted to go
and be on, be on the stage. Ididn't want those. It's like,
no, you didn't come on realpuss.

Tyler (36:10):
Yeah. Yeah.

Danny (36:12):
But what it was, so it So was

Tyler (36:13):
your lease is a new song, right? And it's something about
ice knocking down your door. Can't build the I don't know the
lyric that well. It was it, youknow how he does. He'll he'll
release like a snippet and kindof just feel it out.
Well, one's caused all kinds ofcontroversy.

Danny (36:27):
Right?

Tyler (36:27):
People are calling him un American.

Danny (36:30):
They serve his course country.

Tyler (36:31):
Right? They're like, dude, who's in the Navy? Yeah.
You're Navy. And I it just itrealized I realized what what
was going on because the peoplethat are calling him out on it,
these are people that arejumping on his name.
They're clout chasing on hisname and they're using this
song, whether it's controversialor not, like, yes, ISIS knocking
on people's doors. I don't thinkhe's talking about how, you

(36:52):
know, Old Glory is looking alittle faded and I don't we
don't know what the rest of thesong is. There's not enough
there to really be offended.Sure. If you're being offended
by this song, it's to me, I'mjust like, you're choosing to.

Danny (37:02):
Yeah. Yeah.

Tyler (37:03):
Yeah. You're finding something.

Danny (37:04):
Yeah.

Tyler (37:04):
And to let it rally you up. But then you see the guys
commenting on it and it's thisthis, this, this ad cock dude
and these other young countrysingers that are trying to up
and come. And they're alltelling him, Hey, you shouldn't
be in our genre, whatever. Hewrites these statements and he's
like, he's like, dude, you don'teven haven't heard the whole
song.

Danny (37:20):
Yeah.

Tyler (37:20):
I served this Navy. I served the Navy. My father was
in the army. Like we're, weserved.

Danny (37:25):
Honestly am trying to get ice at my door and, and, and
give me a free trip back toMexico. I'm trying to go back to
Mexico. Missy right. And I werelike trying to figure out, can
we go to Mexico three times thisyear? Yeah.
Can I figure out a way to get toMexico in December? And I was
like, maybe. Yeah. Maybe. MaybeI'll just go over there and be
like, hey, walk up to the iceguys.
Pick me.

Tyler (37:45):
Pick You

Danny (37:47):
know? Wago? Right. That we at work, we have this
airplane that flies in and, and,and what people say is this is
it's, it's the plane that comesin, gets the deportees and takes
them back over there. Oh,really?
And I'm like, hey, tell them, save a seat for me. You know,

(38:07):
like, I'll get over there. And,and, well, you know, we joke
around about that, but I'm like, yeah, man, send me back my guy.
You know, like, whatever. Yeah.
It's funny because like peoplealways talk to like, you know,
like, I know it's I know it'sthere, but then if you talk to
people, they're like, I mean,really the people they're
sending back or the people thatare there probably have like

(38:27):
done something that theyshouldn't do. Right. You know,
so like if you see it online andthey're like, oh, this guy was a
hard worker. It's like, well, how'd they know? Right.
Like he probably did somethingthat he should there's probably
a felony and he may maybe thefelony isn't what he's supposed
to be doing, but it might be afelony. Right?

Tyler (38:41):
Right.

Danny (38:42):
So, I mean, I'm not gonna go commit a felony just to get
back to get But on the man, Iwant a free trip back over
there. I'm trying to get overthere.

Tyler (38:50):
Right.

Danny (38:51):
We I do believe that right now, we are taking a turn
for the worse. Yeah. You know,it's it's kind of a bummer. I
was listening to a podcast theother day and it was saying, you
know, that at some point we maybe one of those countries where

(39:13):
it's like not viable to be here.If the dollar goes low and you
know, the Euro takes over thedollar or, you know, something
happens where our infrastructurestarts to fall a little bit
apart, we may not want to be youmay most people want to be an
American American citizen.
Most people are like, fuck man,I want to go to America. There
might come a time when it'slike, I don't want to go there

(39:34):
anymore. Yeah. I'd like to go toEurope because they're a little
bit more accepting. They'relittle bit more friendly.

Tyler (39:38):
Yeah. I have no idea, man. France is looks like shit
right now.

Danny (39:41):
Really?

Tyler (39:42):
France is in some, I mean, they've had this mass
immigration. The massimmigration is now like, you
know, they, there was somebodytold me that there was a study
that was done in Denmark about130 immigrants from, you know,
an Islamic country that moved toDenmark. And they followed the
statistics of severalgenerations and saw how many

(40:04):
ended up in jail or involved incrime. And it was like a 78%
incarceration rate, like onwelfare. These, they weren't
necessarily contributing membersto society.

Danny (40:18):
Sure. I believe in some sort of immigration or some sort
of like control of coming here.Sure. But Utah is very known for
going, now you can send thosepeople here because the church
is like, yeah, send them overhere. We'll we'll just convert
the we'll convert them to LDSpeople.

(40:40):
Yep. But then they don't takecare of them. Right? Imagine
going to your local store, yourlocal store, and all of a
sudden, it's like an influx of,like, people that you're like, I
have no idea who these peopleare. They don't speak English or
nothing like that.
Yeah. They're not speakingSpanish. Yep. And you're like,
what the world? Right?
Imagine. See that. It wouldscare me a little bit. I would
get nervous.

Tyler (40:58):
Right.

Danny (41:00):
You know, I mean, like that would scare me.

Tyler (41:01):
Well, then you get to be told like, oh, white America
doesn't have a culture.

Danny (41:05):
Yeah. Right? Yeah. Yeah. I think that like, like there
should be some way to become acitizen.
The problem is, is like thepeople that don't want to become
citizens, there's probably areason why they don't want to
become citizens.

Tyler (41:20):
Right.

Danny (41:21):
They're probably, you know, they probably have a
background or a way of doingthings that's probably not like
what you and I do. Probablyfelonious. Yeah.

Tyler (41:33):
Yeah. Yeah.

Danny (41:34):
In my opinion. This is just my opinion. I have friends
that like, if they came toAmerica, they would be looking
for a better life. Mhmm. Theywould be looking for jobs.
They would be looking toprovide. They would be looking
to give back to this country. They would be looking for that.
And I want a way for them to beable to come here.

Tyler (41:53):
Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. I totally agree.
It's not

Danny (41:56):
Both of our parents probably both of our both of our
religions, I'm sorry, both ofour ancestors probably came from
another country.

Tyler (42:02):
Oh, 100%. You know? Absolutely. We can we can trace
our roots back.

Danny (42:06):
And we are here, part of our environments because of that
ability to become citizens. Yep.Right? Yeah. And we're going to
fight hard.
We're going to we're going towe're going to do good for our
communities. Right. You're gonnahave both or have been pivotal
in our communities. We've givenback to our communities and I
want that for people. Yeah.
You know? Yeah. But if you'renot going to do a good job and

(42:27):
if you're not going to be aproductive member of society and
you I don't I don't care ifyou're American or not. I don't

Tyler (42:34):
want you

Danny (42:34):
be part of my community. Yeah. Yeah. Be a good person.

Tyler (42:37):
I I I it's it's it really is that simple. It really is
that simple. I think the problemis just the sheer numbers too
sometimes. Like, just the numberof people.

Danny (42:45):
Yeah. Right.

Tyler (42:45):
I'm like, I can't I wanna move to a smaller community,
but, you know, what is the rightsize community for me? You know
what I mean? Like, where is it?Where is it? The just the, you
know, the right size.
I I don't know.

Danny (42:58):
I don't know either.

Tyler (42:58):
I don't know either. I mean, I love I love that where
I'm at proximity to the airport,we can travel. You know, we have
some great national parks.

Danny (43:06):
Like we would live, we would, you know, you drive
between here and Glenwood andanywhere along those lines, I'd
be like, I'd live here. Yeah.I'd live here. Yeah. But you're
adding two, three, four milesfrom four hours from any major
international airport.
Airport. Yeah. Tyler, we live anhour from an international

(43:28):
airport. We could be anywhere.Yep.
We live an hour from it. Yep.Right? Our community, like our
our community, we have such goodfriends here. Yeah.
We couldn't recreate it anywhereelse. No. We have such good
friends. Yeah. Like our friendgroup has developed like Eric,
Grant, Tripp, Hallett, you know,Preston.

(43:50):
Yeah. You can name name aftername after name and you're like,
oh, It's my friend. Yeah. Yeah. Our friend group would Yeah.
We we get together on a regularbasis now to watch the fights.
Yep. We we get together with ourmen's group with with a lot of
our community. Right? Yeah.
On a regular basis now. Yeah.Where we have a consistent group
of men that we hang out with.Yeah. Right?
Friend group. And everybody withthe same goals. Yeah. Right? But

(44:14):
we couldn't recreate thatanywhere else.

Tyler (44:16):
No, I think we should. But, you know Yeah.

Danny (44:18):
Grab everybody in group. Yeah.

Tyler (44:21):
Yeah. I mean, I think it I think these these type of
little grassroots movements arewhat what men need. Right? Like
we need these little tribes to Imean, who knows? I know I know
when I participate in these timetype of things, I'm less Yeah.
I'm less, you know, I can be alittle bit more patient. She can
flip me off.

Danny (44:38):
I just stopped. Right? Like,

Tyler (44:40):
I didn't need to get violent. I didn't need to shake
my fist. I didn't need

Danny (44:42):
to flip her off back. I just stopped.

Tyler (44:43):
Yeah. And then I I went on my way.

Danny (44:45):
Yeah.

Tyler (44:46):
Like, I don't know. I I I I just think it's it's I don't
know if there's too many

Danny (44:53):
of us or if there's Well, apparently, we're on the like,
we're legitimately on a downwardslide. Our societies are on a
downward slide, like productionrate

Tyler (45:02):
Yeah.

Danny (45:03):
Of humans. I gotta send you the funniest the absolute
funniest thing that I've everseen in my entire life. I I've
seen a lot of hardcore shit.Yeah. I've seen I you know,
people sent me the two chicks, one cup thing.
Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I didn'tmake it through it. No.
I have lots of friends that did.I've seen some I've seen some

(45:24):
horrible things. Yeah. I've seensome funny things. You you know
what sucked?
I'll tell you what sucked. Thingthat happened in Orem. Yeah. I
made a commitment to not look atthe video. Mhmm.
Right? I did not I literally waslike, nope. Not gonna look up
the video. Not gonna look at thevideo. I don't wanna see it.

(45:46):
It's in Utah. I'm a littlesensitive to that. I have my I
have my own opinions about shit.Right? Yeah.
The first thing I just pressedFacebook. Boom. It was right
there. It was the first thingthat came up and I was like,
motherfucker. I don't wannawatch that.
Yeah. I've seen some fucked upthings. Yeah. I had never seen

(46:08):
this. Yeah.
It's called Samezies. You everseen this? Uh-uh. Samezies?

Tyler (46:13):
Uh-uh.

Danny (46:14):
Dude, I sent it to Preston last night. We were I
was we were laughing. He wassending me he was sending me
messages back and forth till, like, midnight. Him and I were
sending it is literally one ofthe funniest things I've ever
seen in my entire life. And Ihad never seen it.
And we're at work and somebodymade a comment about Samsies. No

(46:34):
more Samsies. So you can kind ofguess what it's about. No more
same z's. Yeah.
No more ding da

Tyler (46:39):
ding's. Yeah. Oh. No more same

Danny (46:42):
z's. So fucking funny. And as we start to share these
things, when you hear somebodyto say the same z's or of the
things that talk about it, oh mygosh, we laugh about it. But
there's so much fun that we canhave in this country. Yeah.
In this little world that we'rein. There's so much fun that we

(47:06):
can have. And then you think, doyou really need to focus on the
negative? Do we need to like, know, do we need to go deep dive
of why some of these thingshappen? Why the Aurum thing
happened?
Why all these things happen? Oris it just like, fuck it, it's
just part of life. You know,we've talked about that before.

(47:26):
Like, sometimes people are like, well, why do if there's a God,
then why do these things happen?Mhmm.
If there's a God, why do thesethings happen? And I believe
these things are gonna happen. They're gonna happen. Bad things
are gonna happen. Good thingsare gonna happen.
And you could be like, oh, it'sbecause of God. Or you could
just be like, no, my faith getsme through the things that
happen. Mhmm. My belief in Godgets me through these things.

(47:48):
Yeah.
And my belief that there's ahigher power, my belief that
that I can pray and I can I canhave a relationship with
something different than methat's that I can't physically
or emotionally or mentallysometimes understand? It's just
there sometimes. Right? And Ibelieve that that is a good

(48:09):
thing. Right?
And I believe that if I byputting too much effort into
negative, it's going to bethere. Yeah. You know? Yeah. It
literally is going be there.
If I put too much thought intothe fact that I'm not getting
paid, it's going be theretomorrow. Yeah. You know? And so
Eric made this super cool. Hemade this super cool thing.

(48:32):
And what he said was how hesometimes deals with things is
he's like, can I address ittoday? If I can address it
today, then I need to put someeffort into it. Yeah. But if I
can't, then it'll be theretomorrow. It'll be there in an
hour.
It'll be there next week. Somaybe I don't need to address
it. Maybe just eventually it'lljust work itself out or if or

(48:53):
guess what? If it needs to beaddressed, it'll bring itself
back up and then I'll need toaddress it that day. Yeah.
Right? And so some of theseproblems, some of these things
that we go through every day, wejust don't need to fucking work
on them. Yeah. Maybe they'rejust not worth our effort. Yeah.

Tyler (49:07):
Yep. Yeah. I could not agree more. I mean, mind goes
where your attention flows oryour attention flows where your
mind goes, You know, it's likethese things rein you in.
They're meant to beinflammatory, right?
Inflammatory cells, right? That's the point I was most

(49:27):
crushed with is how similar thatevent felt like to what was hap
what happened in Columbine forme. Being in high school, having
that parallel, right? And thenjust noticing that like the
speed at which information nowmoves has completely changed.
Sure.
It's completely changed. Andwe're we've completely eclipsed

(49:49):
into some into some new epoch intime. And I agree, you don't.
You give your attention tothings that build you.

Danny (49:57):
Yeah.

Tyler (49:58):
I think that's, I've studied this year with kind of
the concept of like no quarter. No quarter has been the substack
where I've kind of just writtenmy, you know, my updates on but
like the concept of no quarter, you know, the battlefield
concept of no quarters that youdon't show any mercy to your
enemies. One, it's a matter ofcompassion the sense that you

(50:22):
can't take care of them. Right? You're not backing down, you're
not giving up.
And so what I've tried to do isapply that to myself. How do I
how do I no quarter how do I dono quarter to my weakness? The
things that I want to getbetter. Not to push myself for
performative, you know, experience, but to like to

(50:43):
really get down and say like, okay, how do I give these
terrible thoughts no more roomin my mind to grow. And I just
kind of said, how do I evolve?
How do I evolve? What is thenext evolution of Tyler look
like? And when you startfocusing on yourself, can say,

(51:05):
you know what, Screw these otherpeople. They're having their own
experience. Their own experienceis going to reap them whatever
they sell.
And I'm just going to try to begrateful. I'm going to try to,
you know, connect Well, with my

Danny (51:18):
and being like, you know, those those emotions that that
just don't do us any service, anger. Yeah. Rage. Yeah.
Vindictiveness, glutton, allthat shit.
Those negative emotions. Yeah. They're going to be there.
Right? Yeah.
We don't have to feed those. No.We don't have to keep feeding
that shit. You know? If younotice that you're not this is

(51:42):
this is a thing that's that'sdistracting you or impacting
you, your life negatively, thenyou can also take the stance of
like, well, I'm just not goingto deal with it.
I'm not going worry about it.Yeah. I'm not going to put some
I'm not going to feed itanymore. Yeah. But if you get
like gratitude, happiness, joy,appreciativeness, acceptance,

(52:05):
you know, that's the men's grouptopic was acceptance.
Acceptance. What can you acceptin your life? And if you can
accept it, then it's okay. Yeah.It doesn't make you a puss just
because you accept certainthings.
Right. But as a man, you need tolearn to accept things. Right.
It was a big topic and it was abig thing that we that we that
we dive deep down into. Right?

(52:26):
But when you feed those good, happy, healthy qualities, your
life tends to be, your outlookon life tends to be better.
Yeah. Right? Yeah. You know, wego back to what you've
experienced the last couple ofyears.
If you feed those negativefeelings, which, know, don't get
me wrong, you have to like givethem some attention, but you can

(52:47):
also just accept them and belike, doesn't fucking define me.

Tyler (52:50):
Right. Yeah. What are they, you know, at this point,
it's what are they teaching me?Where are they directing me?
Right.
Where are they directing me?

Danny (52:57):
And you don't know.

Tyler (52:58):
You don't know.

Danny (52:59):
And that's okay.

Tyler (52:59):
And so you give it attention so you can kind of
find out

Danny (53:02):
and

Tyler (53:02):
you can say, Hey, what is this telling me that I need? But
Hey, yeah, you can't, we can'tlive in it and you can't be
defined by it. When you startdefining yourself by these
things, that's when you need thevalidation. That's when you
start seeking the validation.Unfortunately, social platforms
have given people that shouldn'tbe validated.
There are some ideas that don'tneed validation. There's some
shitty dumb ideas out there.Whoever came up with the term

(53:25):
that there are no dumbquestions. Yeah. No, there are
some dumb questions.

Danny (53:29):
Are some

Tyler (53:30):
dumb questions. Sure.

Danny (53:31):
Pay attention.

Tyler (53:31):
You know what I mean? Like

Danny (53:32):
Yeah. Don't ask the same question when you just asked it
just to try to get the answer toVin to that you would like to
hear.

Tyler (53:37):
Yes.

Danny (53:38):
If the answer is this. Yeah. Don't ask the question to
just constantly to try to changethe narrative to be on your
side. Yeah. Right?

Tyler (53:47):
Yeah.

Danny (53:49):
You know, when you and I talk about this a lot with some
of the things that you deal within your personal life. Yeah. And
I'm always encouraging you tolike be like, remember who you
are. Yeah. Because sometimesyou're like, no, no, no.
I'm this. And you're like, andI'm thinking, no, you're not.
Yeah. You're literally not. Youknow?
I'm your friend. I know who youare. You know, you're this kind

(54:10):
gentle man. And that's whatthat's what people are drawn to
you about. Yeah.
Plus you have really good looks, you know? And so it's like
people are drawn to you. Don'tforget that. And if you focus on
those things, then you know, that's who you are. It's
literally who you are.
Yeah. But you're a kind soul, you know? And you can't change
that about yourself. It's it'syour genetic gift. And sometimes

(54:35):
the way that we see our geneticgift can be a genetic curse.
Yeah. Right? And you're like,oh, I don't like that about
myself. And you're like, I needto change that. It's like, no,
it's genetic code.
Whoever your people were gaveyou that. You can't change that
shit. It's not butterfly effect.Yeah. You don't know how that
will work.
No. Right? No. And like yousaid, you you want to be able to

(54:59):
have some tolerance Yeah. In inthese environments.
Yes. Because life is gonna testthe shit out of you. Yeah. You
know? Yeah.
And who knows what's And gonnayou don't know.

Tyler (55:11):
And you don't know.

Danny (55:11):
You just don't know.

Tyler (55:12):
You absolutely don't know. And, you know, I'm you say
this and I'm all for communitiescoming, communities wanting to
bring their culture here andshare their culture with us. I
mean, I think there's time andplaces for that. I love Cinco de
Mayo. I love, you know, the factthat I get to surround myself
with this Hispanic and Latinoculture here in Heber.
We have some great Mexican foodbecause of it. There's some

(55:34):
great people here because of it.And, you know, I enjoy seeing
them celebrate the Mexican flagwhen it's their day, but I also
would love to see them enjoy, you know, celebrating the July 4
here or the events that we holdculturally appropriate, the
rodeos and things like that, youknow. You know, we're blending

(55:55):
our culture and we're comingtogether for the better. Right?
And so that's not to say that, you know, something has to die,
but something new is going toget some, something new is going
to be born out of, out of allthis intermixing. And I think
whatever that is, is hopefullysmarter and kinder and better
for the next generation.

Danny (56:13):
For sure. Cause that's what it matters, right?

Tyler (56:15):
That's what that's what it hopes. That's what it's my
hope.

Danny (56:18):
Your hopes are like that your kids' life are

Tyler (56:21):
Yeah.

Danny (56:21):
Are as good or Yeah. You know, better Yeah. Than what we
had. And honestly, like if we ifyou or I were to not be here
tomorrow, we've literally had afucking amazing life.
Absolutely.
And? Like our adventures havegotten better and better and
better and better and like thethings that we've experienced,
the loves that we've had andlost and like, and those things

(56:43):
have defined who we are as men.Right? And we always, you and I
always definitely say that it'snot easy being a man. No.
This narratives that we aredealing with now, it's not like
they're proponents of likestrong valued men. Yeah. You
know? No. That just keep theirmouth shut sometimes and then

(57:04):
voice when we have concerns.
Yeah. You know, I don't need togo out on a stage and call out
the generals for being fat, dumb, and lazy

Tyler (57:12):
Right.

Danny (57:13):
To get to to feel good about myself. No. I need to shut
the fuck up sometimes Yeah. Andjust be grateful that those
people are there. Yeah.
Know? And sometimes when I needto, like, voice my concerns, I
may have to voice my concerns.Yeah. You know? But I'll have to
do it every time.
Yeah. You know, as a man andit's not like we're proponents.
Like, our friend group, like ourfriend group, have the same

(57:34):
values. We all have the same, like, mindset. Right?
We train together and try tokill each other. Every night we
train with each other. Yeah. Youdid 20 rounds the other day. I
was so proud of you.
Yeah. What a kudos, man.

Tyler (57:46):
Thank you.

Danny (57:47):
Like, how fucking insane is that that you just are coming
off of cancer and you were ableto, like, savage your way
through 20 rounds Yeah. Of,like, training hard in the
academy, you know? Yeah. Was soproud of you. And everybody was
like, that was so good for Tylerto be there.
So good for you to be there. Youmay pay for it for the next ten
days. Yeah. But you have thatmindset. Right?

(58:09):
Yeah. And that's what you'retrying to like promote. Yeah. As
a man, you're trying to promotethese things. You're trying to
like to be like, man, this iswhy look, look at me.

Tyler (58:18):
Yeah.

Danny (58:19):
Look, look at me. Let me be your let me be the role model
that I'm I'm I'm put on thisearth to be. Struggles. Hard
last three years, but stillrally like a motherfucker. Yeah.
You know?

Tyler (58:30):
Yeah. Smile. What's all you can do, man. It's all you
can do.

Danny (58:34):
It's I'm all you proud of you.

Tyler (58:35):
I appreciate it. Yeah. What we got going on? What do we
got coming up? What is what'snew?
We're getting into the fallseason,

Danny (58:42):
I sixth need a battery in my bus. Thank you for being
patient with me. I gotta get abattery in my bus. The problem
is, is the batteries that I likeI told you before that I'm
looking at are expensive. Yeah.
I'm hustling like a motherfuckertrying to get that thing in
there because we need to getsome bus episodes in. We didn't
do any, but I wanna get some in.Yeah. I would like to take a big

(59:03):
shout out to Riley at SaltElectrolytes. Yes.
Salt. I was on his podcast theother day and we talked a lot
about our this this environment. We talked a lot about you. We
talked about yours and I'sfriendship and how we got to
where we're at because Riley hadsaid he met you at the camp

(59:24):
because you guys were sittingnext to each other. You were
running the, the merchandise forthe camp.
Then he was right next to you.So he said you guys talked And
then him and I trained and itwas a good conversation. It was
an hour and a half conversationwith him. Huge shout out to
Riley.

Tyler (59:39):
I think his watermelon salts were the ones I had. They
were good.

Danny (59:43):
Salt electrolytes. That's good. I even asked him. I was
like, hey, I'm an element guy, LM N T. And I was like, tell me
the difference.
He told me the difference. Sentme a package and I actually like
it. It's good. It's got a lot ofit's got a lot of good stuff in
it. So look that up, Salt.
We'll probably hopefully do somemore collaborations with him.

(01:00:03):
We're going try to have him onhere. We'd like to get we need
to get more we're figure out howto get We're

Tyler (01:00:09):
seeing I think we're I think I think if anything, this
walking and having this littlebit of time has given me like,
how do we evolve this? How do wemaybe we've hit something that
we need to evolve and how whatdoes that evolution look like?
Because there's all kinds ofchanges that have happened.

Danny (01:00:25):
We have, again, Mountain Elite Massage. At some point,
they're going to be a sponsor ofthis of this platform because
Crystal's, you know, Crystal JoyCJ, her her idea is that men men
need what we have, what we'redoing. And her idea is to to

(01:00:48):
incorporate that somehow in intheir sanctuary. So we might be
gearing up for doing anothermen's meeting, men's group there
at at her spot. We may do amen's, you know, men's meet up
there.
So we we appreciate that. Whatelse? Hopefully the government

(01:01:09):
opens so I can get a paycheck soI can buy myself a battery.
Yeah. Yeah.
No, I don't know.

Tyler (01:01:14):
I mean, it's all real. It's all very real.

Danny (01:01:17):
What about you?

Tyler (01:01:18):
It's all very real. I mean, yeah, I think the same
things are true for me. I'mgoing into my last round of
training. I'm in the treatment,I'm training, I'm training an
incredible dog that is hopefullygoing to be one of those. My
goal for her is that she's oneof those just attachments,
right?
Like she has the brain, she hasthe brawn. She just becomes one
of those attachment pieces that

Danny (01:01:38):
I would love to see her with a service dog vest on.

Tyler (01:01:41):
You don't technically or legally have to have they don't
technically or legally have towear that.

Danny (01:01:47):
Do you think you're going come down tomorrow maybe to
watch Oh yeah. The

going.
His Atlanta thing, you know, hewas supposed to move to Atlanta,
it's falling apart. And I'm sohappy. Good. Because

Tyler (01:03:11):
I love

Danny (01:03:13):
him being an effusive and, you know, working around me
so much. I do. I'm so close topulling the trigger on retiring
in December. I'm so close. Thislast week I was hustling pretty
hard, you know, trying to makesome money and it felt good
working Yeah.
For something that I, you know, myself and a bigger picture.

(01:03:35):
Yeah. Yeah. I'm I'm prettyclose. Good.
I'm pretty close. Good. I'm moreas soon as I've tapped past the
50% retire needle, I might justdo it. Yeah. I might just do it.
We'll see. I mean I need need tohave you know, we need to have
another round of like wheredirection of some of the things

(01:03:59):
that we were working on thatwe're not that we couldn't put
on the back burner after Octoberafter this last so you get done

November 7 is my last treatment.

Danny (01:04:09):
And then we pig roast the next day. We dude, we're so that
night we're celebrating youryour finishing of cancer. Yeah.
With we're we're all sitting uptogether at night and roasting
the pig. Alright.

(01:04:29):

Tyler (01:04:36):
Oh, yeah? Where's the pig gonna be? Where are we where is
it roasting it?

Danny (01:04:39):
So we're trying to figure that out right now because we're
little worried about the smokeand the ash smell. So we're
either gonna do it at Grant'shouse or at the academy and then
just do it there.

Tyler (01:04:50):
Spend the night.

Danny (01:04:51):
We're trying to figure that out right now, but we're
doing it no matter what. We gotthe wood donated. We have
everything ready. We just needto get the pig. We have
everything.
We have everything already.

Tyler (01:05:00):
Nice.

Danny (01:05:01):
It's gonna be insane. So we're celebrating that that
night. We're watching movies. We're hanging out with each
other. We're gonna fucking havea good time.

to 2,000 I've close I've raised close to $2,000, for
cancer charity.

Danny (01:05:32):
So I'm I'm stoked. Stoked.

Tyler (01:05:34):
Kind of about $500 away. So

Danny (01:05:36):
I feel like we could sit here all night long could. And
talk.

Tyler (01:05:38):
We

Danny (01:05:39):
could do a Joe Rogan three hour episode.

Tyler (01:05:40):
We could do a three hour episode. Just doing it. It's
been too long. We probably oweit to our, we owe it to our fans
who've hung in through thisyear. It's been bumpy.
Thank you for coming back. Thankyou for jumping on things like,
you know, the Substack andchecking in other places and
yeah, thank you.

Danny (01:05:57):
Yeah. Whenever you think about the fact that like Tyler
and I, our gratefulness for thiswhole journey, the fact of the
matter is, is like, we're justdoing this to to hopefully reach
somebody to hopefully, like, toto put our name out there to,
like, to to remind those that Idon't know if I told you this,

(01:06:20):
but I had a buddy from highschool kill himself on my
birthday. I'm not saying that hedid whatever. It doesn't

Tyler (01:06:26):
Right, right, right.

Danny (01:06:27):
But it was on my birthday. This guy was one of in
high school, him and I were likegood friends. Out of high
school, whenever we see wouldsee each other, we would like,
we, you know, we'd run into eachother. We'd we would always
either have a beer, talkbullshit, dedicate this episode
to Berlin Birmingham. To him?
A great guy. He was a good dude.Must have been in the struggle.

(01:06:51):
And at some point just was like, you know what? I don't got
nothing left.
I got nothing left in the gastank. What we want is to ensure
that if you don't have anythingin the gas tank, if you hear
Tyler and I just reach out tous. Yep. Because believe it or
not, we have a lot in the gastank even though, like,
sometimes struggle gets bad. It's like, no.
Fuck it, man. We got lots in thegas tank. Right? Yeah. I'm gonna

(01:07:15):
take a picture of us.
I'm gonna this is my goal is aswe start as we finish and sign
off let me do that again. Sorry. As we sign off, I'm going to
take a picture of us, and we arecurrently signing off from
episode whatever it is. It's inthe fifties, and this is us
signing off. We're up recording.

(01:07:37):
We're grateful for you guys, andlook out. We're gonna come back
