EPISODE
In this powerful and heart-opening episode, I sit down with Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Midlife Wellness Advocate, Yewande Banire, for a much-needed conversation on the silent journey all women face from perimenopause to menopause and the deeper layers often left unspoken, especially for Black and Brown women.

We shed light on the quiet suffering, confusion, and shame many women endure during this natural transition, and we name what too often goes unnamed: Black women are not being seen, heard, or prioritized in conversations around their health.

Despite the medical advancements and resources available, only 4% of women in the U.S. are receiving proper hormone therapy. What does this mean for women in underserved communities and women across the African diaspora where education, resources, and cultural permission to speak are even more limited?

Together, we dive into:

  • The stigma, silence, and shame around menopause and sexual wellness
  • Why so many women feel alone during this transition
  • The systemic neglect of Black women in clinical research and care
  • The emotional, physical, and cultural barriers to healing
  • How we begin to reclaim our bodies, our stories, and our sacred cycles

Yewande shares her mission to educate and empower women especially women of color to understand their changing bodies, advocate for their well-being, and speak their truth without fear.

This episode is more than a dialogue it’s a healing declaration. For every woman who's been told to stay quiet. For every woman who feels unseen. For every woman finally ready to come home to herself.

We see you. We hear you. And your healing matters.

Press play, and let the healing begin.
