Joanna Zeiger has been incredible in all areas of her life. After humble beginnings in youth swimming, she worked her way up to swimming at Brown University, which lead her to making the Olympic Trials. Later she found triathlon, and she earned a spot on the first-ever U.S. Team for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, where she finished 4th. She's also a 70.3 World Champion, a two-time IRONMAN winner, and a four-time top-ten finisher at Kona. And throughout much of her athletic journey, she has pursued research and higher education and learning, including receiving a Masters degree from Northwestern, and a PhD in genetic epidemiology from Johns Hopkins.
