Today on LOTW, Becky and Bevy discuss two brutal homicides that occurred in 2007 in Knoxville, Tennessee. In the heart of Knoxville, Tennessee, Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom were more than just a young couple; they were the epitome of promise and love. Channon, a diligent university student with a future as bright as her smile, and Christopher, a talented carpenter with a heart of gold, had plans for an ordinary night out in January 2007 that would soon become extraordinary in the worst possible way.
The couple was expected at a friend's party, a night filled with laughter and shared stories. But as the minutes turned into hours and Channon and Christopher remained absent, unease started to spread among their friends. Calls went unanswered, and worry began to gnaw at those who knew the couple best.
As concern turned to alarm, friends and family began to search for the missing couple. What they found was Channon's car, parked and seemingly abandoned, in a lot that held its own secrets. The ordinary vehicle became the first clue in a sinister mystery, one that would leave the community of Knoxville grappling with horror and sorrow.
