Welcome to Man and Finally Single.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
I'm Jamie Black, I'm Summer Austin, and I'm Skyler Fast
and no jokes.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
And this is a meredithirst I fan podcast where we
invite a guest on who's never watched an episode.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Hey, everybody, welcome to a new episode, Mad and Finally Singley.
As usual, we have a guest this week.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
She's a lad there, whoa, whoa, whoa, She's a lead there.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
She's got two eyes in her mouth too. Please give
it up for Crystal Kurry.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
Thank you, thank you for having me here. I really
appreciate it. This is I don't know, this is gonna
be so much fun. I can't wait to see what
we got of the episode.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Oh yes, yes, yes, Crystal, I mean, thank you so
much for doing it. It's not an easy thing to
sit down and be like, I'm going to watch like
an hour and a half or two hour long episode.
But let me ask you this. Do you want to
tell us a little bit about yourself first? And then
I have a question for you.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
Okay, Well, I'm originally from Washington State. Some of the people,
if they recall it, the Pacific Northwest. So yes, hi
and moved to La to do like you know, the
Hollywood dream, go to performing arts college, graduate and then
you know, hit the town running, but obviously take it
a little longer.
Speaker 5 (01:28):
But that's fine.
Speaker 6 (01:31):
It's like there's been any challenges in Los Angeles or
anything like that lately.
Speaker 5 (01:35):
No, like there's a pandemic. There hasn't been a lot
of wildfires. You know, It's just it's so normal.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Yeah, totally.
Speaker 6 (01:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
So, since I don't really know too much about your
television watching history, Crystal, can you tell us do you
watch reality TV or is this like a new thing
for you?
Speaker 5 (01:54):
I watch some reality TV. It's more like reality competition.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
I don't know if this is considered a compet to
see like who can stay married the longest?
Speaker 5 (02:02):
But like ru Paul's Drag Race is.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
Like one of my top uh, one of the top
shows that I watch as a reality.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, I don't know. What do you guys think? I think,
what do you think about that question? Because I've always
wondered that myself, if married at first second? Is a
competition show? Do you Jamieen Skyler, what do you think?
I don't think technically is considered a competition, But.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
No, I call them contestants anywhere.
Speaker 7 (02:30):
I wouldn't consider it competition, but I do like putting
a spin on it and turning it into a competition.
Have them like compete in like marriage challenges.
Speaker 6 (02:42):
Oh, they do do that, but I guess it's not.
Speaker 7 (02:46):
Technically every episode, are the best couple of the week?
Make it something. There was this really awful show called
Bridal Plasty. Do they know about this? Okay? So it
was I think like only one season long, and it
was all these women that were going to be getting married,
and like everything, they would compete like who has the
(03:07):
best bouquet, who has like the best table of range concept,
and whenever you would win, you would get one plastic
surgery on your to do list, and whoever whoever won
got all of their plastic surgery and their wedding paid for.
But the best part is is whenever they were eliminated,
(03:27):
the host was like, take away.
Speaker 6 (03:29):
One of their plastic surgeries.
Speaker 7 (03:31):
Oh, I wish that would be even better. You know,
if you were eliminated, she would be like, summer, your
wedding will still go on, it just won't be perfect. Wow.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Wow.
Speaker 7 (03:48):
Babbage and my roommates in college, I walked in on
them watching it, and I was like, this is so stupid,
but did we binge the entire thing into absolutely wow?
Speaker 6 (03:59):
Wow?
Speaker 7 (04:00):
Sure married at first Sight meets bridal plassy throwing it
out there for sure.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Well, I also think you could pay her Married to
first Sight with.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
The amazing race and they have to go around and
do local stuff when whatever city that they're is.
Speaker 6 (04:21):
I love that.
Speaker 7 (04:22):
Yeah, honestly though, great way to test if your like
marriage is going to work or not. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
absolutely amazing A few marriages.
Speaker 6 (04:33):
That's so interesting.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Okay, Well, you know, I will say this for Crystal.
A lot of times people are not happy about watching
the episode. I love Crystal's attitude, but I will say
that we also got a good one. I mean, this
is a good episode. It can be really boring and
just like non eventful.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
This was a good one.
Speaker 7 (04:51):
This.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yeah, and if we are talking about one, which couple one?
I think we know which couple one if we're talking
like the crazy couple, so yeah.
Speaker 7 (05:02):
I couldn't tell who was it.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah, but let's just start. Let's just start with let's
just go through the through the couples. Crystal will get
your thoughts first. So we're gonna start with Madison and Alan.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
Honestly, I really liked them, but I thought it was
so funny because Alan seems so love struck by Madison.
He's all like, you're like when they all got like
their photos from their wedding, how he was like, Oh,
you're so beautiful. You know, I couldn't stop kissing you.
And then when he when they first opened the episode,
(05:39):
and how he's like, I had a dream of where
a future could be, Like he is just so in
love with Madison.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
He really wants this marriage to work out.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
It I think so like for her too, like I
think she also wants it to work out, but he's
just yeah, in love with her so much.
Speaker 7 (05:53):
No, he is, yeah, I really like her, Like when
he was like do you see us? Like I want
us to have like grandkids and blah blah blah, like
could you see that happening? And she's like together or
forever is a long time, And I was like, no, oh, hard, ye.
Speaker 6 (06:15):
His little hard. I talked to another straight male friend
of mine who doesn't like Alan, so I'm wondering, I
don't know why. I was like, why don't you like Alan?
I like Alan? Am I crazy? We all like Alan?
Speaker 7 (06:29):
Right, I love that.
Speaker 6 (06:31):
Yeah, what's that like about Alan?
Speaker 1 (06:33):
I think he's you know what, I think it is
because Alan is is goofy, and I don't think you're
not supposed to be goofy as a man. Damn man.
I just have a feeling. That's why.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
That's why I don't hang around a lot of men. Yeah, yeah, I'm.
Speaker 7 (06:51):
My friends in college said the best quote, and I
use it probably weekly, and it's the simplest thing. Just
boys are stupid.
Speaker 6 (07:00):
But also I think.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
The main reason why I like Alan is because he
has he's funny, Like I mean, we all have like
a sense of humor, and like it's so important. He's
like probably hands down the funniest guy on the show, right,
Like he said.
Speaker 6 (07:15):
Something so funny.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
I wrote it down when they were doing their like
tree aerial tree, which was really funny.
Speaker 6 (07:22):
Talk about competition. That was amazing race kind of ship.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
Yes, I think they need to make him do that
all the time, right, he said, I quote, at least
we know if we need to escape a drug den
in the middle of a forest on a bunch of logs,
we can.
Speaker 7 (07:37):
That was so funny, spific.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Halls, And I wish that he really had brought a
Tarzan and Jane costume.
Speaker 7 (07:50):
For I was waiting for it. I was very disappointed.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
I was too.
Speaker 7 (07:56):
I was like, commit to the Yes, well that's all.
Speaker 6 (08:00):
He really needs because he's a regular guy.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
He just needs a little bit more commitment to his
bits because you know, he's just a regular guy.
Speaker 6 (08:07):
But he's a funny regular guy.
Speaker 7 (08:10):
Yeah. In regards to their tree trying tree climbing exhibition experience, whatever,
can we just talk about the guide that was there.
I was like, this man is a character actor, not real,
Like I don't remember what his he like. The way
(08:30):
that he spoke was just so bizarre. But I was
kind of into it, and I was like, this man
needs to be a voice actor. I can't. I can't
even recreate what he did. But just you know, for
those that want to rewatch the episode, ye go back
and check it out. He had a great voice.
Speaker 6 (08:46):
I wish you could do an impression of him because
now I can't remember.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
I know, I'm going to have to go back and
watch the episode.
Speaker 7 (08:52):
Yeah, he was like, I don't know, it was it
was weird. It was just it was I don't know.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
He was like.
Speaker 7 (09:00):
The FoST.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
I don't think it was that.
Speaker 7 (09:05):
I don't think it was that that that I would remember. Yeah, yeah,
but it was. It was unique and I was into it.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
It was great, Okay, a little fast, so I don't
know if you caught when uh, when Madison opened up
the champagne bottle and it obviously overflowed and she immediately
put her mouth on. He was like, oh, I'm not
going to make a joke here, and I'm like.
Speaker 7 (09:39):
What would the joke of Ben?
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Now?
Speaker 6 (09:44):
What's the joke? Allen?
Speaker 3 (09:51):
And I love that he actually won the tennis wager, yes,
but wasn't specific about the kiss re Oh god.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
I was like, oh, like she needs to be a
lawyer or something here.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
Like these details. I'm like, oh, okay, sneaky.
Speaker 7 (10:10):
I wanted her when she was like give me the cheek.
In my head, I just pictured him being like boop,
just pulling down his shorts and being like, kiss my
butt cheek. That's where my mind went. I was like, oh, naughty,
and I was like oh. She meant like yeah, like
off the face.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Do we have anything else about Madison and Allen?
Speaker 7 (10:32):
I need more of the dog storyline?
Speaker 4 (10:33):
Yeah, yeah, especially when he went after the cookie.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
I was like, yes, yes.
Speaker 7 (10:41):
Every time I looked over because I like, I was
writing my notes, and every time I look back from
my notes, it was just a shot of the dog.
And I was like, get this puppy a contract. I
have adopted a dog. Yes, I'm putting him in every
single podcast episode. Now adopted a dog. I'm like, I
need more of the dog storyline. I need to know
what he's doing. I need to know his internal thoughts
(11:02):
of Madison. Does he want his dad to marry her?
Does he want her to be his mom? I need
no details? And then I forget whoever it was. But
they're like, oh, he farted. It's really bad. I now
know what that smells like. And as a dog dad,
it's weird. I love my dog's breath. I love my dog'sparts.
He can do no wrong. I'm like, you woop, I
will happily pick this up for you. Now.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
I think there's a I think that Lufy is a
challenging personality in your house. But there you know that
she's slowly falling in love with the dog.
Speaker 7 (11:41):
Oh, she did like him at first.
Speaker 6 (11:43):
She's got a wall around her heart that one. Oh,
absolutely like a tough exterior. She likes to put up tough,
you know.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
Yes, yeah, okay, anything else about Madison and Alan, Okay,
let's go on to Camille and Thomas.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
Oh okay, yeah no, so yeah, since we're talking about
the episode, who cares about spoiler alerts here? When Thomas
was like late to the BA to the basketball like
Jim Court session, I was like, m I feel like
there's a good reason. But obviously they weren't going to
like tell you at the beginning, like why was he late?
And then later on when they had like their own
(12:22):
personal like anniversary dinner, and how he presented her with
a gift of I think he said, a ruby necklace.
Speaker 7 (12:28):
Yes, okay, yeah, ruby, that sort of stone that represents
her birthday.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Yes, yes, yeah.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
And when he presented he's like, this is why I
was late. I was like, oh, okay, yeah, it's like
a man that's paying attention to her, Like this is
what I like, and a man how he pays attention
and like all these small details. He's like, I saw
you and read and I just thought it looked really
good on you. And I was like, yes, yes, yeah,
well yeah we like.
Speaker 6 (12:54):
Them, right, guys, we do like them or hate them.
I'm just kidding.
Speaker 7 (13:02):
I'm going so with my theory that they're gonna last
because they are like the most not boring but like
boring for TV since because like the only storyline that
they've really had is She's like, I just want you
to be like more black, like I want you to
be more in touch with like your heritage, and like,
(13:23):
looking over my notes, I'm like, oh, I didn't even
write anything about this.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
I'm very little.
Speaker 7 (13:30):
I completely forgot. I always had bullet points for every couple,
and I was like Camilla and Thomas, I was like, oops,
didn't write so because of that, their marriage is gonna last.
The only thing that I will say is I don't
understand why all of these couples are like, let's celebrate
(13:52):
our anniversary by doing a sport. You had tennis, we
had basketball. I'm like, guys too much. I would have
been late for the bat basketball thing too. I didn't.
I would be like, no, I will not be doing that.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
I have to go check on my egg plant.
Speaker 6 (14:09):
Okay, well, Jamie's going to check on his egg plant.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
I have to ask you both a question, do you think? Okay, so,
could you tell Crystal that there's like an age difference
between the two of them. Were you able to pick
up on that or is it just something that I.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
Mean, there's an age difference on all of them, but
like a big gap. Not really Okay, I couldn't tell.
Speaker 6 (14:34):
I couldn't.
Speaker 5 (14:35):
I was starting to keep track of like age difference.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
I saw Madison and Alan, and then when I got
to the Camille and Thomas, like the eight.
Speaker 5 (14:42):
I didn't the second couple. I didn't do the math
on the age difference.
Speaker 6 (14:47):
I mean, I think he looks pretty young scalar, don't
you think, like, but it's like a ten year age
gap or something, right.
Speaker 7 (14:54):
Yeah, because I think she's thirty two and I think
he's forty two.
Speaker 6 (14:58):
Yeah, so it kind of.
Speaker 7 (15:00):
I wouldn't guess that.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
No, I wouldn't guess that. People to Hammy while he
was like running.
Speaker 5 (15:06):
That's true, that's true.
Speaker 6 (15:07):
Oh yeah, there was that, right, and then she started
teasing him about being like an old man and not
being able to but yeah, that's basically that's basically the
age gap. So but it didn't seem like a problem
to me. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
No.
Speaker 7 (15:20):
I will say this too about married at first sight,
is like I don't really know the ages of past couples.
But I was like looking at their ages of these couples,
and I was like, you know, they're at least diverse
in age because there's you know, I feel like with
like The Bachelor and Big Brother, they always skew to
be like most of them are in their twenties. Yeah,
(15:41):
with this, I think maybe Carla is in her twenties too,
but I think Madison's the youngest one at twenty nine.
Speaker 6 (15:47):
Yeah, that was a nice like plant, Jamie. I caught it.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 7 (15:52):
Your looks delicious.
Speaker 6 (15:54):
That doesn't looks coody. I don't think it's done.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
That's because I had I had an extra one and
so I thought i'd bring it in stead.
Speaker 5 (16:03):
I'm always prepared. I like that.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
Oh I'm saying, though, is if you're making a egg
plant parmesan, I'm coming over after this is done.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
Come on over.
Speaker 7 (16:11):
Oh we're talking about egg There's a joke that I
put no breading here, but I won't no breading.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
Oh yeah, because you know I'm on the keto.
Speaker 6 (16:24):
I know, and looking good, sir, may I say yes,
good like very spelt.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
That's just because I shaved my beard off. That's the
only reason.
Speaker 6 (16:36):
One that's why. That's why you look thinner because you
shave off your beard.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
Yes, and I also look younger, a little a lot younger.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
Now did did we talk about the fact I went
to Cobal Distilleries?
Speaker 6 (16:50):
Oh we didn't because they don't know.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
But yes, they wouldn't know.
Speaker 6 (16:54):
Yeah, I was wondering. I was like, where is this nice?
Oh it's cool, which isn't Lincoln.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
Oh no, no, yeah, because it's on Ravens would.
Speaker 6 (17:05):
Okay, Yeah it's so. I love that place so much.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
Yeah, I've never been.
Speaker 6 (17:09):
They got a.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
Really nice uh like promotional uh plug there because it
looked amazing.
Speaker 7 (17:16):
Yeah, yeah, okay, call their own cocktail, Like do they
design their own cocktails?
Speaker 2 (17:22):
They're just a whiskey company. They're a local whiskey company
and they do like taste things and stuff.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
So but yes they did. Yeah yeah, yeah they made
their own cocktails out of the Yeah.
Speaker 6 (17:34):
It must be like a little service that they offer.
Speaker 7 (17:36):
Right. It was like, we should all do that, all.
Speaker 6 (17:40):
Do that, Chicago go to co All right, great, let's
do it for the finale.
Speaker 5 (17:46):
Band.
Speaker 7 (17:47):
Yeah, we'll break every guest from this season with us,
and we.
Speaker 6 (17:51):
Should do a public podcast. Rent A theater. Okay, yeah,
I love it.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
That'd be great. Okay, any thing else about Camille and Thomas, No.
Speaker 7 (18:03):
I love them. They're so dull and I love it.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Yeah, No, I think they're I think they're gonna be okay.
Speaker 7 (18:11):
Just gorgeous. They're gorgeous people.
Speaker 6 (18:13):
They are.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
They look good together. They look really good together.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Yeah, all right, So well, I mean I hate to
dive into them right now since there's a lot to
talk about in the dinner, but.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
Mm yeah, I.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
Believe mm she deserves a lot better. But oh yeah,
she really deserves a lot better.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
I'm glad you can see that, not having seen an
episode before, but like, holy.
Speaker 6 (18:48):
Shit, wow, yeah, what is this guy's deal?
Speaker 1 (18:52):
I don't what is he so? I don't remember? What
is he so mad about?
Speaker 6 (18:56):
His problem? Sir? What is your problem?
Speaker 4 (19:00):
I do?
Speaker 7 (19:00):
I'm just angry with everybody. He's get more into this
in a little bit. But like he just caught because
he copped an attitude with the experts, which, like I
didn't like that was in previous episodes. He's obviously copping
anatude with her. We saw him get rude with producers,
we saw him get rude with people again. Jumping ahead,
but like, I just want to say. If MM was like, hey,
(19:24):
I have a charcouterie board. I set up this picnic
in the park for us. We are gonna paint. I
would love that. She's so cute, she's so adorable. She's
a woman in power, she owns a business. I would
love to go paint in the park with her.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
I would.
Speaker 7 (19:40):
I would sit there all day with her all day
and on her absolutely and in this toolbox. He's like,
She's like, I thought we could, Like she's obviously uncomfortable,
she obviously does not want to be there. Producers are
making her and she's like, I thought we could maybe paint.
And he's like, oh, the watercolors are oils.
Speaker 6 (19:59):
And I was like, oh, he's got oils in the park,
you idiot.
Speaker 7 (20:05):
I'm just like, you're not a paint expert, right as
man explaining to her like this is how you get
your colors darker to show up. And I love how
like the camera just slowly pans over to hers and
it's like more colorful than his because she knows what
she's doing. I loved it.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
I'm telling you, it was over the minute. He went
over to her house and saw how much money she makes.
I'm telling I knew that was the moment.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
Yes, I think you're right. I think she always.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Happens with men right where they see how much money
she makes and then they are like turned off for
some reason.
Speaker 7 (20:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (20:42):
Yeah, it's very disappointing.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Yeah, I mean, you know, she owns her own business.
She's you know, she's she's she's much more accomplished than
he is. And I think that's his issue, like he
could I mean, okay, so he has a bunch of
different jobs, so so do I. I'm an act. I
have a bunch of different jobs.
Speaker 7 (21:01):
This is also America in twenty twenty five. Who doesn't
have more than one job. If you don't, congratulations, either
you're poor or you're really really rich and you don't
need another job. There's no in between, right, And I'm
proud of you and I'm jealous. Good job.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Yeah yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
Yeah, well okay, it was bad. He is so stonewalling everything,
Like I can't. She was so patient with him. Yes,
I could not. I would not be like that nice.
There's just no way.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
No.
Speaker 6 (21:36):
They were looking through the pictures in the photo album
and he was like.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
So far away, right and then he said something rude
and she goes, I'm going to respect that. I was like,
you are infinitely patient woman.
Speaker 7 (21:49):
But I also feel like that she probably because like
I know people who have been like on Big Brother
and stuff. I've talked about this as well, where it's
like you know that, like people are watching, and you
know that people have stereotypes, and so there's probably also
a part of her where she's like, I have to
appear a certain way. I because I'm sure that she
(22:10):
had a lot more feelings that she wanted to share.
But she's like, I'm going to appear to be the
bigger person, and I don't want people to stereotype me
as like, you know, the angry black woman. Yeah, that's
my assumption. I don't I don't know, but we go high.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
But she couldn't keep it up the entire episode, which
get to.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
I guess we'll get to it. We'll get we'll get
to it, so we can get there. Yeah, So let's
so let's let's put them to the side. Let's let's
hit Michelle and David.
Speaker 4 (22:42):
When I first saw Michelle, I was like, is busy
Phillips now all of a sudden on the show.
Speaker 6 (22:46):
But I was like.
Speaker 5 (22:49):
Oh, that's such a busy Philip's look a life.
Speaker 4 (22:51):
But anyways, from my understanding Michelle is that she like
I feel like I can relate to her because she
said she came from like a small I think like
in the previous like from the previous episode, she came
from like a small town and now seems like she's
a business woman. Again, I don't know too much about her,
and she doesn't want to go back to a small
town because for her, it seems like, you know, failure.
(23:12):
And I grew up in a small town and like
I said, I'm in la and and one way I
understand that, like when you go back you kind of
feel like for me in that small town is like
you have a family, you grew up, maybe you work
in a local business, and then you know that's that's
your you know, that's basically your life, your family and
just the local business. And she wanted more out of that,
(23:32):
and David just came in kind of like what I'm
wearing sweater and sweater and jeans, and She's like, is
this really it? And they both were wishing to be
further along in the relationship, and I was like, oh,
like like where were you guys expected to be? So
it seems like they wanted both be like more maybe
(23:54):
romantically and emotionally further along. But what I saw I
liked them. And then when they showed like, what's going
to happen in the next episode, I was like, oh.
Speaker 7 (24:04):
I don't know else.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Oh yeah, no, I know those previews are juicy.
Speaker 6 (24:14):
I can't wait.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Yeah, I can't wait either.
Speaker 6 (24:17):
I will say that what's happening going to happen? But whatever, Okay,
I'll see.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
I mean, David's really trying, I think, you know, and
he's being very patient because I know I couldn't be
the constant, the constant shunning and everything. I couldn't take it.
I'd gone off on her by now, yeah, because it's
too much at this point.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Now it's like come on, yeah.
Speaker 7 (24:40):
And I will say this for David because as we know,
I am not the biggest David fan, but he in
this episode kind of changed my perspective on him, which
again we'll get to that when we get to the
anniversary dinner. But like, I think he put it best
where she's like, well, you don't ever ask me questions,
you know, and he's like, well, yeah, because you always
(25:00):
give me the same one word responses of okay, sure,
and he's like, and you shut me down, So why
would I even want to try? And I was like,
you know, that was eloquent for once, David, and I'm
proud of you. That being said, I was writing down
in my notes, like, oh, that's what you chose to
wear to your anniversary. And then as soon as I
(25:22):
finished hyping, she's like, is this your date outfit? And
I was like, we're on the same page. But yeah,
I do feel bad for him in a way because
like you can see all these efforts that he is
making and she just yeah, she like just doesn't want
like she obviously gave up on this a while ago. Yeah,
(25:43):
and like he is genuinely trying, like I mean again
where he's like, I have to get up and work
and our schedules are opposite, but he still leaves her
like notes in the morning, which is cute, and you know, I, yeah,
I just I do feel bad for him. That being said,
we need to work on style, and we need to
work on like getting his hair under control.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
Bye, Okay, I don't know he was wearing a night
he was wearing nice sneakers, and jeans and a shirt.
It's not like he was wearing like something I'm wearing
right now. He was it was nice ish, you know
what I mean. Like, I don't know, gives a guy break.
I just think it's very interesting how I mean, of
course she's just gonna do it because also producers are
(26:23):
probably egging her on to do it. But that's just
not how you have a good marriage. You don't have
a good marriage by nitpicking every little thing about your
partner when they're trying and then being like, Okay, well
they did this, so now I'm just gonna nag them
about that, Like, you know, I mean, it's like, give
the guy a break. Like the only way we have
a strong relationship is by being respectful to each other,
(26:45):
and that's just not respectful.
Speaker 6 (26:47):
Like I feel like I definitely did.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
That when I was a lot younger in relationships, like
you know, and especially with men.
Speaker 6 (26:55):
But it doesn't buy you any bonus points.
Speaker 7 (26:59):
Yeah, And if we really want to nitpick outfit choices,
the yellow eyeshadow not a good choice?
Speaker 6 (27:07):
Yeah? Is that your day off? It is that your eyeshadow?
Speaker 7 (27:14):
Ma'am right. I was like, you look like you have
a bruise, and I was like, oh, that's that was
her choice.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
Yeah, she's she's very she well, she's clearly materialistic. I
mean we found that out a couple of episodes ago
when she talked with one of the experts and and
you know, the expert said something, asked her something about uh,
David providing for her, and and doctor Pea was like,
(27:45):
you mean financially, and she was like, well, how else
can he provide for me? And she's like, by showing
up for you, by you know, caring for you.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
But you know, it's not all about money. So she's
all about money.
Speaker 3 (27:59):
And because he lives in his parents' basement, yeahs.
Speaker 5 (28:04):
Oh, okay this.
Speaker 7 (28:07):
Episode for once, Yeah, which is why he was at
his parents house. She mentioned that She's like, David's at
his parents, so I'm gonna go pick him up there
for our dinner because he lives in their basement. Does
not have a car, no, because he's saving money by
not having a car. He hasn't said that that, but
that's what he would say.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
I mean, it's not necessary in Chicago. You don't need
a car in Chicago, So that's not so unusual.
Speaker 7 (28:35):
His parents are out in the suburbs though it looks like.
Speaker 6 (28:38):
Yeah, he's pretty I think he's out there though, but
still you don't really need.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
You still don't need because you still take metra in
and then if anywhere in the city you can take
the l or a bus or something, it's fairly easy.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
It's not like l a yeah at all.
Speaker 6 (28:55):
And that's obviously where she's laid up all the time.
That's just like I just got off the bus from
my second job.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Oh, I know, all right. Anything else about Michelle and.
Speaker 7 (29:08):
David, Yes, Then watching their wedding, I was like, please
show her half her breakdown, please, And I wanted him
to be like on her wedding night. I really wanted
to see that. And then I also just love how
they're like showing her going over the bows and she's like,
I'm going to push you to be the best that
you'll be, and I'm gonna laugh at all your jokes.
(29:30):
And I was like, oh, look at her not doing
any of that, any of it. I was like, she
gave up on him, and she doesn't laugh at his
jokes because she doesn't listen.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Well, at least she didn't say something.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
The way was like, it doesn't say anywhere and I'm
gonna be an asshole, and I'm just like, dang you okay,
kg yeah, but she didn't, you know, she didn't say
She's like okay, hmm, yeah, okay. Anything else about Michel
(30:05):
and David, okay, Carla and Juan.
Speaker 5 (30:14):
There's such an interesting couple, honestly.
Speaker 4 (30:17):
Because when I saw Carla, I was like, I know
that character, like I knew her, oh yeah already. I
was like, oh, I mean, I feel like she's you know,
had at least she's like instinctual, like she acts on instinct,
like she knows. She's like, I know this isn't for me,
so let me get out of there. So with her,
like with her job that she quickly's like I quit today,
(30:42):
So at least she knowes where she stands instead of
like some of us were like, I don't like this,
but I'm gonna put up with it. I don't know,
you know, Prosen constant both sides, but he's all like,
let me show you my business, so I have I
don't know what he does, but it seems like he's
like I have one business, but I have like five
or six businesses with in that one business.
Speaker 5 (31:01):
And this is how it looks pretty on the front end,
but in the back end it's like.
Speaker 4 (31:04):
All this work, and so I'm like, okay, but yeah,
he's also I feel like.
Speaker 5 (31:09):
One and Michelle like I kind of want to see
those two.
Speaker 4 (31:12):
Together like trying to push each other for like, you know,
business perspectively.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, Well if one were black,
then Michelle would be into it.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
Yeah, truly, Like.
Speaker 6 (31:26):
I love how we can't figure out what Wan does.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Because wasn't this like he makes like off was he
is it office furniture?
Speaker 1 (31:34):
Is that what he's making?
Speaker 7 (31:38):
I don't know. All I know is he said the
front is the dream factory, in the back is where
the business happens.
Speaker 6 (31:44):
And I was like, is he running a brothel?
Speaker 7 (31:50):
Gotcha? It sounds like the drug den that Alan is
going to have to escape from. I will say Carla
was like the relatable I've ever seen her today, Like
in this episode where she's like they're like, so what
does Wan do? And she's like, you know, he's just
the mastermind and they're like so what specifically and she's like,
(32:14):
he puts a laptop on his lap, and he skateboards
and he manages and she's like, fully, just laughing because
she's like, I know what you guys are doing, and
I know.
Speaker 6 (32:28):
That, like so funny.
Speaker 7 (32:30):
Yeah, And I was like.
Speaker 6 (32:31):
Good for you, Oh my god, so funny.
Speaker 4 (32:34):
Yes.
Speaker 7 (32:35):
And then like I just I feel like he just
doesn't like I feel like he doesn't give her enough
credit as well, Like when she's like I quit my
job and he's like, well have you done this?
Speaker 1 (32:46):
Have you done that?
Speaker 7 (32:47):
She's like, well, yeah, I've already reached out to my
clients and I told them to come to me instead.
I was like, so she does know what she's doing.
She's like, I quit my job and I took my
clients and instead of like going to the salon and
like giving them all my money, I'm just going to
get the money directly from them and probably get my
clients into discount. And it was like, oh, so, who's
the real business woman here.
Speaker 6 (33:08):
No, it's a guy who is basically a factory and
we don't even know what he does with it.
Speaker 1 (33:14):
Yeah. I didn't expect the factory thing because one so
one also has an app.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
He talked about in previous He has an app for
travelers to like connect in like like an airport, So
if you're in an airport and you're like waiting for
your flight or whatever you can, you can connect on
this app.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
I guess business.
Speaker 6 (33:42):
Would you use that app?
Speaker 4 (33:44):
No, Like, let me just turn off my air drop
to everyone and see what I'll get or see what
I could send it up now I message you know
air drop it's free you guys if you have an iPhone.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
I don't know if this app cost city thing or
it's free.
Speaker 4 (34:01):
But like, also you have to be like, how many
other people are downloading that app?
Speaker 7 (34:05):
Again?
Speaker 5 (34:05):
A lot of people have.
Speaker 7 (34:09):
The idea was there?
Speaker 1 (34:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Yeah, oh my god, did you guys catch this one?
Speaker 6 (34:20):
First of all, I love it when he was like,
she was like they just weren't going Sorry. I can't
even her without laughing because I love her so much.
It was like she was like he were just going
in a different direction, and he's like what direction? He's like,
what direction were they supposed to go on? Or whatever?
She goes I'm the direction. I love that on a
(34:44):
T shirt. I'm the direction. I love so much. I'm
going to like put it on my bathroom mirror every morning.
I'm the direction. Yeah good, I want to be in
the Church of Carla.
Speaker 7 (34:58):
I'm telling you yes, Carla's cults.
Speaker 6 (35:03):
Okay, sign me up the Cult of Carla.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
Yeah. I feel like she's going to manifest a career.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
I feel like she's just going to it's just gonna
she's just gonna manifest it.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
There's no doubt about it that Carla is a master manifestor.
She has figured it out. Yes, she's hacked the universe
and she can. She's she found a wormhole and she
is making it work.
Speaker 7 (35:25):
Like I just want to figured out her tarot cards yet.
Speaker 5 (35:30):
Yes, that's what I was gonna go.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
Oh yeah, yeah, I love.
Speaker 7 (35:34):
He's like, you could use your tarot cards as a business,
and she's like, m.
Speaker 6 (35:42):
Don't tell Carla ship. She already knows what's up.
Speaker 7 (35:45):
Right, that's not her direction.
Speaker 6 (35:47):
She's the direction. Okay, she's the direction.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
She is the direction.
Speaker 6 (35:51):
Oh my god, so good.
Speaker 5 (35:53):
I hope she gets that job in New York.
Speaker 7 (35:55):
You know. Yeah, I need to follow up on that.
Did it have right?
Speaker 1 (36:01):
Yeah? Yeah? Because one was grilling her about that.
Speaker 7 (36:06):
He did make a few ballid points where he's like, well,
do you have anything in writing? And she's like, well no.
I was like, well you probably should get that. I
will side with him on that. Get stuff in writing.
Speaker 6 (36:17):
She should figure that out.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
Yeah, yeah that too, that too, yeah yeah, okay, anything
more about Carl and Wan.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
No, okay, now we get to talk about the Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Now let me let me just let me preface this
by saying this. The in the UK and the Australian version,
because they have a dinner every single week, every single week,
is like this.
Speaker 6 (36:45):
Yes, why don't we do that here?
Speaker 1 (36:47):
Why don't we do that in the United States?
Speaker 6 (36:49):
Guy?
Speaker 7 (36:50):
I need more?
Speaker 1 (36:54):
Yeah? Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
So first of all, two things that I figured out.
One is that they film in September. Oh, because MM
showed her text messages that she sent to him and
they were in September day, okay, And it was probably
(37:16):
September of twenty twenty two, ye or I'm sorry, not
twenty twenty twenty three, September twenty twenty three, and not
last year, got it okay?
Speaker 6 (37:27):
Yeah, that would only be like a four month.
Speaker 3 (37:28):
Yeah, because they because it took them so long to
release this, it was probably September of twenty twenty three,
got it okay, right, because we expected it to come
out earlier and it didn't. It came out much later.
So it's like, yeah, I think it was twenty twenty three. Oh,
that's just my guess.
Speaker 7 (37:49):
You imagine having to like not only live through those
eight weeks, but then have to like wa an under
wraps for over a year. Yeah, and then have to
you live all that trauma for Like, that's terrible.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
And not only that, everybody you know has to keep
it under wraps because, like I said, I had a
student in my class here in LA who had a
sister who was a contestant or whatever you want to
call it from the Nashville season, and I had all
kinds of questions but her sister couldn't answer anything either
because it was still airing.
Speaker 7 (38:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (38:25):
Oh, literally, everyone you know has to not spoil it.
Speaker 7 (38:29):
Oh, I'm not signing nothing. Don't put me on this.
I'm not tight lipped enough. I'd be like, they totally
break up and she beat the shit out of him
because he was awful and he deserved it, and just
wait till episode ten. I also oh yeah, yep, okay,
(38:52):
I digress though, All right about this dinner, I'm.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
So yes, where do we want to start?
Speaker 7 (38:58):
Oh? Well, well, Madison's necklace was gorgeous, Yes, m M
was gorgeous, And those were the highlights yes, I like how.
Speaker 5 (39:10):
I think if I'm correct, cam or Camille, she was
like so ready to tell everyone I had sex with
Thomas and everybody.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
Yes, yes, and Michelle was welcome to pound Town.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
Pretty funny too, Yes, Yeah, they can be funny when
they want to be. Those girls are really funny and
like Camille was having a great time just watching.
Speaker 6 (39:34):
It all go down.
Speaker 7 (39:37):
I'm glad that I'm in a normal relationship.
Speaker 6 (39:43):
Even showed up. That was nice of him to show up.
Speaker 7 (39:46):
Yeah, I thought, And you know, I think that Madison
really appreciated that because she's like, you know, he did
come on his break, Michelle, Sorry, were the same person
in my head. They're both fond white women, like I say,
Michelle Michelle, Michelle Michelle. She did admit that She's like,
I'm really proud of him for showing up on his
(40:08):
break because that's not easy to do, not.
Speaker 6 (40:11):
When you have to take five buses to get there.
Speaker 7 (40:13):
No, and you know that he probably they're like, you
get a fifteen minute break if you're if you're lucky,
but because you're on a show, we'll give you twenty.
Speaker 1 (40:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (40:22):
Yeah, I just I love that they all just dug
into e catchy as soon as she showed up too,
lot loved it.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
Sure did.
Speaker 7 (40:36):
Yeah, and like Alan was like, where have you been?
And He's like, chilling, chilling dinner.
Speaker 6 (40:42):
I hate that. That is wow. I first, so I
hate the word.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
Chilling so much, Like I feel like my students use
it all the time, and I hate to be like
sound like an old person, but like, chilling is one
of my biggest pet pews when people say they're chilling,
because it's it doesn't mean that at all. It's so
passive aggressive, right, like it's like chilling, Like, no, you
were stewing.
Speaker 6 (41:08):
Let's like you know, you were the opposite of chillin. Dude.
Speaker 7 (41:12):
Yeah, he's such a fucking baby. He's a child and
I love that Alan just dug into him.
Speaker 6 (41:20):
Yeah, like I'm sorry, respectfully, is that a reason for.
Speaker 7 (41:23):
You to, you know, miss half of dinner?
Speaker 1 (41:27):
Yeah? Really Yeah.
Speaker 7 (41:29):
When he was like, well, I'm not here to celebrate
my marriage because it's not working. I'm here to celebrate
the rest of you. And Alan was like, that's a
little insulting to your wife, and I was like, yes, Alan, however, I.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
Will say this, a kg definitely understood the assignment, like
to make some good TV.
Speaker 6 (41:48):
He is doing it, he's doing it.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
There's always got to be one and like in the
UK there's usually more than one, but like there's got
to be one stir in the pot.
Speaker 6 (41:58):
And I was like, yes, sir, you're stirring it. Let's go.
Speaker 3 (42:02):
Yes, because he knew listen, he knew what that would Yeah,
of course he did.
Speaker 1 (42:09):
He knew what that would do if he came in
halfway through the dinner.
Speaker 7 (42:12):
I mean, oh yeah, I still because I've heard rumors again,
we talked about this, I think last episode, but like
there are rumors on Reddit that like he's a producer
plant and I feel like that this shows it.
Speaker 6 (42:27):
Yeah, em really took the bait though. I love it.
It was so good yeah ye.
Speaker 7 (42:33):
And I also love like Camille because she was also
kind of starring the Pot. She's like, but what's really good? Yeah?
Really good. I was like, oh, I was like, she
knows what she's.
Speaker 1 (42:46):
Doing and she but she was also she held back
because she was like, he don't want to hear from me.
Oh no, I couldn't. I could just hear her late,
but I was like, I want to hear what you
couldn't say to him?
Speaker 6 (43:00):
Let me tell you m m. Good for you, Good
for you. We finally got to it.
Speaker 2 (43:05):
If you bring me a clown, you're gonna get a circus.
Speaker 7 (43:08):
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, she's like your joker ass suit.
Speaker 1 (43:16):
Yes. Yes, So.
Speaker 6 (43:23):
It's so great.
Speaker 1 (43:25):
Oh it's so good.
Speaker 6 (43:26):
It's so good. Oh my god, it's so good. Thank you,
thank you, finally us catching up slightly to the UK version.
Speaker 3 (43:38):
Yes, yes, all we needed was all we need is
a gay couple.
Speaker 1 (43:43):
Now, there would have been a gay couple there. Oh man.
Speaker 7 (43:47):
They would have been like like I would have been like, girl,
why the fuck are you here? I would have been
I would have backed up mm so quickly. I would
have been like, you have a princess and you're a
fucking oh oh he's Princess Peach and you're Mario.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
Oh man, Yeah, that would have been. That would have
been good.
Speaker 3 (44:20):
Yeah, I mean I just don't understand. Oh anyk did
you Hearry Cache say that he thinks emmam is being immature.
I'm like, yes, excuse me, sir.
Speaker 7 (44:31):
You fucking answer anybody straight and you give every single
because he gave Alan attitude, he gave Madison now or
one of the blonde girls, who did I write down Michelle,
he gave her attitude and like again, this is also
where David got points for me, because he's like, you know,
(44:52):
I'm just like, that's just not how you talk to somebody.
That's not how you should be talking to somebody. And
like I'm just you know, like David kept it real
with him. Yeah, that's just like don't don't act this way.
And then Carl it being like let's go to the bathroom.
I was like, good job, everybody.
Speaker 6 (45:11):
Yes, he did so good. They did so good. Yeah, yeah,
it was really good. Oh my god, I loved it.
Speaker 2 (45:20):
I don't know if you guys are This is total
side note, but last night I was watching the Jerry
Springer documentary.
Speaker 8 (45:27):
Have No No, but oh it's so good if you
love Jerry Springer, which I do, right, and it's just
so interesting how it like literally their whole thing was
like exactly what we're talking about right now, which is
like that people love this stuff, right, And yeah it was.
Speaker 6 (45:43):
It's a very fascinating documentary.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
You should watch it if you know, if you remember
that show and you yeah, it was like a really
great formula, but like this this formula works.
Speaker 3 (45:55):
Oh yeah, yeah, there's a reason why I know why
they do this?
Speaker 6 (46:02):
Oh god?
Speaker 2 (46:04):
So yeah, So I can't wait to see And it
looks like more shit's going to go down, which I'm
very excited by. I think I know what happens, but
I don't know about you guys. Have you been able
to figure out from the previews what's going on?
Speaker 6 (46:16):
No?
Speaker 1 (46:16):
You know, you know they are.
Speaker 3 (46:18):
They're editing it together so that you can't tell the
different reactions for different you know, they'll have different lines,
but it'll be a reaction.
Speaker 1 (46:28):
It wasn't even for that, but it looks like it's
for that.
Speaker 3 (46:32):
Yeah, I think, yeah, I don't, but I well, so
you saw the previews then, right, yeah? So did you
see wants fu Manchu Mustage?
Speaker 7 (46:45):
I was like, what is this?
Speaker 1 (46:48):
What is he doing?
Speaker 6 (46:50):
So I think I know what happens? Should I just
say what I think it's going to be?
Speaker 4 (46:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (46:55):
I think David accidentally is trying to send him out
since to Madison, and he accidentally sent it to his
wife because he can't tell them apart either like Sky, which,
by the way, if you do shit like that, you
(47:16):
are going to get caught.
Speaker 6 (47:17):
I've had that happen to me before.
Speaker 4 (47:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (47:20):
Yeah, and mostly men are stupid.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
Sorry, but like they you know, I've had that in
past relationship, someone send something to me they were cheating
on me and they accidentally sent it to me, and
I was like, you really don't think people can be
that stupid, but they one hundred percent can be.
Speaker 6 (47:37):
And you're just like, was this meant for me? I
think that's what's happening.
Speaker 2 (47:40):
And I think that's what ends up because he can't
he can't tell him apart, and then then she's gonna
hit the fan because he's trying to He would never
send something like that to his wife.
Speaker 7 (47:50):
No, oh yeah, no, well we it might not be
somebody on the show, because she does say like, you're
like trying to hook up with my friend. But I mean,
and I don't know if like.
Speaker 6 (48:01):
Maybe it's somebody else not on the show. Yeah, okay,
but I think that's what he did. I think he
sends the wrong he sends a message to the wrong person.
Speaker 7 (48:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (48:10):
Oots, if you're gonna cheat, you gotta be much better
about it than that. But I love how also people
think that if they're cheating, they're not gonna get caught
like that. People get caught when you lie, You get
caught unless you're like a master manipulator sociopath and you're
really really good at lying.
Speaker 6 (48:28):
And David is not good at lion.
Speaker 7 (48:31):
No, what if he cheats on her? And he's like, well,
you know, I just I'm in my parents' basement because
I'm saving money up and he does his whole monologue
again and she's like, no, that's not what we're talking about.
I would love that, and he's like, oh right, sorry,
I had to write a new monologue for the season.
Speaker 5 (48:49):
My favorite thing.
Speaker 6 (48:50):
Is when they go into monologues. I love it when
they have their whole There was one character who was it?
That was his tendency Williams. He always had like a
Blanche du Bois monologue that he launched into. Was that
from San Diego Jamie I think it was? And it
was all like it. I was like, oh my god,
he's gonna do his monologue again. I love it.
Speaker 1 (49:07):
I can't remember which one.
Speaker 6 (49:09):
Oh, I can't remember which one it was, but he
always had like a or.
Speaker 1 (49:14):
Maybe it was No, wasn't it Colorado? Oh it was
it was Colorado because it was the it was the guy,
the New Zealander. Oh yeah, it was the New Zealander.
Speaker 6 (49:28):
Yes, he always launched into some like Tennessee Williams like
epic monologue, and I was just like, yes, it was
the New Zealander.
Speaker 2 (49:36):
Yes, Kew Stranger, Oh my god, it's so it was
so good.
Speaker 6 (49:44):
Every time.
Speaker 2 (49:45):
I was just like, it was the same monologue over
and over again. We should do a compilation, like we
should make this for the stage stage version and married
it first sight.
Speaker 7 (49:56):
The characters kind to that, and we'll.
Speaker 6 (50:00):
Put them and the setting will be a dinner.
Speaker 7 (50:03):
Yeah, y Hollywood fringe.
Speaker 1 (50:08):
Yeah, no, that would I think it would be.
Speaker 3 (50:13):
I think they'd be good guys.
Speaker 1 (50:16):
We make it campy, people will show up.
Speaker 7 (50:20):
Listen. I've seen some very unique things that the Hollywood friends.
So I'm like, anything's possible.
Speaker 3 (50:27):
Yeah, yeah, I just want to just for any of
our listeners in Chicago and for summer here.
Speaker 1 (50:36):
So they are in fact in the South Loop.
Speaker 3 (50:39):
We saw that when he came out of of the
hotel or not. Well, it's a short term stay address
I eight o eight South Michigan. Yeah, it's right next
door to the Essex Inn and the place that they're
staying is called the Central and it's a short term stay.
There are residents there, but it's also a short term
stay residents. I have actually delivered groceries there before when
(51:04):
I was working for Amazon Prime, oh, the Amazon Flex.
I have actually delivered groceries there before. And the Gray Hotel, Now,
the Gray I had never heard. It's got to be
a new hotel because I never heard of the Gray
Hotel before.
Speaker 5 (51:20):
Is that where the dinner was?
Speaker 1 (51:21):
That's where the dinner was.
Speaker 4 (51:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (51:23):
Yeah, it's on Monroe, between Wells and Lausu.
Speaker 6 (51:30):
Very cool.
Speaker 3 (51:31):
Yeah or no, I'm sorry, it's between Clark and Lassow. Okay, Yeah,
it's one twenty two West Monroe, So it's between Clark
and Lassow.
Speaker 6 (51:38):
Okay, Wow, way to go, Jamie.
Speaker 3 (51:41):
I just like trying to figure out where they are.
I have no idea where where MM had her park,
say somewhere on the south side, but I don't know.
I couldn't figure out where they were.
Speaker 7 (51:53):
I think we should do a side podcast where it's
like we just do a tour of Chicago and people
can like, you know, We're like, and now if you
walk two blocks down whatever street, you'll see the Gray Hotel.
This is where in episode ten the big fight went down,
(52:16):
and that's where we knew that it was all over
with EKG. Here's some fun facts like a walking tour
Married at First Sight the walk that.
Speaker 2 (52:24):
Is the most specific side podcast and so niche that
I've ever heard of in my life.
Speaker 1 (52:30):
And you know what to do it?
Speaker 3 (52:32):
Yes, no, that would be good, and that'd be good
actually as a walking tour in Chicago.
Speaker 7 (52:37):
Yeah, yeah, you'd.
Speaker 6 (52:39):
Have to actually walk it though to No.
Speaker 7 (52:41):
Yeah, yeah, there was a company that I O this
is side track. I tried to work for a company
when I first moved out here that like did them
they started in like San Francisco and they would be like, yeah, yeah,
they did not hire me, which was their loss. But
(53:02):
I just ever since then, I'm like, I would love
to do something like that. So we'll be like, you
know what, we're your number one competition. We're the marriage
at First Sight traveling walking tour. So is that still around.
Speaker 6 (53:14):
Or did people not like go for it? I downloaded
it and I was like and then I stopped.
Speaker 7 (53:20):
Like I after they didn't hire me, I was bitter
and I erased them from my mind. So yeah, so
if you're listening your loss.
Speaker 1 (53:31):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (53:32):
Also, so the I'm just going way way back to
when Madison and Alan were doing that. It was almost
like a Ropes course up there, you know, walking across
the bridge and all that kind of stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (53:46):
That was my very first job.
Speaker 3 (53:48):
That I got out here in LA when I came
out in two thousand and six.
Speaker 1 (53:51):
What I that was my job? I was. I was
the tour guide. I was the guy welcome to me. Yes,
and I used that voice.
Speaker 3 (54:06):
But yes, I led people through a ropes course in
Big Bear you know big Bear Mountain.
Speaker 6 (54:13):
Up there, a big Bear damn.
Speaker 1 (54:18):
Yeah, that's where the ropes course was. Well yeah, so yeah,
I had to lead people through.
Speaker 7 (54:23):
In l A.
Speaker 3 (54:24):
Really not anymore, even I was much younger than we should.
Speaker 7 (54:30):
Do a ropes course in the city from like building
to building building building, l Yeah, be like, will you survive?
Who knows? I have a lot of ideas. I'm just
throwing them all out there, and I think that one
of them will eventually stick. Listen, if it works for one,
(54:51):
it'll work for Skyler.
Speaker 1 (54:56):
So true. Okay, do anything else to say about the
about the dinner.
Speaker 7 (55:00):
No, it was a mess that I love it.
Speaker 1 (55:02):
More dinners, yeah, I'd have more dinners absolutely.
Speaker 3 (55:06):
Okay, So now comes the time where we get the
predictions from our guest. So just a quick rundown about
how married at first sight works. You may have already
figured it out, but I would tell you anyway. So
these couples meet for the very first time at the
altar and they get married.
Speaker 1 (55:25):
Then they have eight weeks to decide whether or not
they want to stay married or get a divorce. At
the end of eight weeks, they go in front of
the experts that originally match them and say whether they
want to yes, they want to stay married, or no,
I want to get a divorce. And if one says yes,
then the other says no, they get a divorce. So
with that in mind, Crystal, do you think that Alan
(55:50):
and Madison will say yes or no on decision day?
Speaker 5 (55:54):
I feel like they're going to say yes. I'm a
little optimistic, especially with that dog.
Speaker 1 (55:58):
Okay, all right? About Thomas and Camille.
Speaker 4 (56:01):
I feel like they're a definite yes, just because yeah,
they're definite yes in my eyes.
Speaker 1 (56:07):
I think we know the answer to this one. But
m M and K.
Speaker 5 (56:12):
You know what, I think they're the most realistic marriage,
So they're gonna get worse.
Speaker 1 (56:22):
Michelle and David.
Speaker 5 (56:23):
I feel like it's gonna be like one says yes
and one says no. So that's why I think they're
going to get a divorce.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
So yeah, yeah, and then Carl and Wan.
Speaker 4 (56:32):
I think they may also be in the same boat.
One may say yes and one may say no. So
I think they're also going to get a divorced.
Speaker 1 (56:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (56:40):
I feel like, yeah, I didn't realize because again I've
never seen this show, but if one said yes or
no that it would end up in a divorce.
Speaker 5 (56:48):
So interesting.
Speaker 6 (56:49):
Yeah, on the UK and Australian versions.
Speaker 2 (56:52):
So if they do they do a decision day every
week after the dinner, it's great, and then if one
says yes and one says no, they have to stay.
Speaker 1 (57:04):
Together for another week, for at least another.
Speaker 2 (57:08):
Week for them to stay in a marriage. It's skyler,
isn't it amazing?
Speaker 7 (57:13):
Oh I didn't know that. I know they're done.
Speaker 8 (57:20):
Oh we already got back so we can all watch
the UK version.
Speaker 7 (57:25):
Oh yeah, I have a producer plant that's just like, yes, yes,
every week when it's fair yes, Oh my god, there
would be so much trauma in that person's life.
Speaker 1 (57:38):
They do the.
Speaker 2 (57:39):
Dinner, then they immediately go into the decision day, like
the next is it the same night or a different day?
But they go and right in front of the experts,
and then the experts like just tear them to shreds
and make them stay together for another week.
Speaker 5 (57:54):
Ye to call themselves experts.
Speaker 4 (57:59):
And then also like this is basically Married at First
Night is basically arranged marriages in other countries.
Speaker 6 (58:04):
So yeah, experts.
Speaker 2 (58:08):
Oh okay, Well I have another really important question for you, Krystal,
and it is this, Will you continue to watch.
Speaker 5 (58:14):
Married at First Sight? Unfortunately, I will not.
Speaker 4 (58:20):
If I were, I just want to see the dogs,
Like I want that dog to have some show Loofy
Loofy show spin off.
Speaker 6 (58:28):
Oh I got the Loofy show. That's such a good idea.
It would be great to have him. It would be
a really good show.
Speaker 2 (58:35):
And then Alan could be like the Steve of like
Blues Clues, Like, yeah, Steve lufy and.
Speaker 1 (58:41):
Alan, I watch it.
Speaker 6 (58:44):
He's quit me. It would be fun. He's very uh
non offensive to children, you know.
Speaker 3 (58:50):
Yeah yeah yeah, yeah, all right, Well, Crystal, thank you
very much for being on the podcast.
Speaker 5 (58:58):
Thank you for having me. I enjoy this was a
good episode.
Speaker 7 (59:01):
Luckily, like you guys said, yeah, yeah, some of them
have been snoozefests.
Speaker 1 (59:07):
That it's true, It's true.
Speaker 3 (59:08):
But this one, this one was a good one. Yeah,
you came, You came in a good week. Yeah yeah, cool?
Speaker 1 (59:15):
Great?
Speaker 3 (59:16):
Oh so oh, I'm sorry. Do you have anything to plug?
Do you have any shows coming up or anything? This
will come out. This will come out on Wednesday morning,
So anything after Wednesday.
Speaker 4 (59:25):
I have a TikTok social media, just follow me on there.
It's my handles, like my name spelled. If this is
going to be showed.
Speaker 1 (59:32):
If not, it'll be in the notes. So I'll put
it in the notes.
Speaker 2 (59:38):
All right, Crystal, I'm gonna follow you on TikTok yay.
Speaker 6 (59:43):
Yeah, anyone else? Skyler, how about you?
Speaker 7 (59:49):
So for those who are in LA have been paying
attention to the news, obviously, we know that there's quazy
fires and you know, with a husband who's grown up
out here, you know, he put it back where it's
like these have been earlier and crazier than they've ever
been in all of his you know, years of life.
So you know, if you can donate to help, you know,
(01:00:15):
small businesses and palisades or firefighters or you know, I
can't think of any companies off the top of my head.
But support people because it's it's crazy. Donate clothing or
items if you can. I have a couple of friends
who you know, my boss, she lost her home in
(01:00:36):
Alta Dina. So you know, support people if you just
give food, thoughts and prayers, you know, good stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
I was gonna say that Gold Rail Bar where we
have our monthly stand up comedy show, they actually have
they're collecting. They're collecting can goods and you know, some
clothing and stuff for pets too, because there's a lot
of pets that have been affected by this, so they're
(01:01:08):
collecting stuff.
Speaker 7 (01:01:10):
Three Clubs where we did our show in December, they're
also taking a lot of donations. The owner's wonderful and
you know he got that all set up, so three
clubs as well.
Speaker 2 (01:01:22):
Yeah, you know, it's interesting because you know, Crystal was
talking about like moving here, and we all like, you know,
you know, moved out to la except for I mean,
there are some people who are like born and raised here,
like your husband.
Speaker 6 (01:01:36):
But I just think it's such a wonderful city, like
everyone's been so I just love this place so much,
and everyone's been so kind and helpful.
Speaker 2 (01:01:46):
Like it's just such a loving city, you know, Like, man,
I just think it's amazing. It's so devastating what's happening,
but everyone's doing such a good job here, like taking
care of each other. So yeah, and also too, like
if anyone needs anything, I would say, I mean, I
don't mean to speak for us as a podcast, but
(01:02:07):
like reach out to us, do you know what I mean, Like, I.
Speaker 6 (01:02:09):
Mean, well I'll help. It's offering that to anybody.
Speaker 1 (01:02:14):
Out there, right, So yeah, of course, you know, I think.
Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
The one great thing about Angelina's is we kind of
do whatever it takes to like take care of each other.
Speaker 3 (01:02:23):
So yeah, absolutely absolutely. All right, Well, thank you again
Crystal for being on the podcast.
Speaker 5 (01:02:29):
Yes, you're amazing.
Speaker 6 (01:02:32):
I'm so glad to meet you.
Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
Yay,
