Marti Wymer, the heart and soul behind Spoonful of Comfort, started a company where you can send delicious soups, tasty sweets, and comforting gifts to loved ones.  After tragically losing her father and learning of her mother’s cancer diagnosis, she wanted to send a meaningful gift to her mom that said, “I love you and I care.”  Flowers just didn’t seem personal enough.  From there, a midnight spark of creativity (chicken soup) became the start of a booming business.

In this episode of Madame Founder, Marti opens up about her evolution from being a young girl hustling door-to-door, selling tickets to her own plays, to becoming a powerhouse entrepreneur. Growing up with parents who embodied resilience taught her invaluable lessons that she carries to this day. A midnight “aha” moment led to Spoonful of Comfort, her unique comfort-care business, which soared after a lot of grit and determination led to a big PR break, and ultimately, the company becoming the face of “showing care and support” during the Covid pandemic.  Through it all, she emphasizes the importance of small (I’m talking itty bitty) intentional steps and leaning on the support of her community. Her latest venture, Spoonful of Sugar, adds a sweet twist to her mission of spreading joy and connection. Join us as she shares her heartfelt insights and the incredible power of building community, reminding us that when we all come together, we can create joy and connection in the SWEETEST ways!

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
