The Library by Banana Anna 2. 1008.
I work in a very large library. One day I was working on closing
our music library when all of. A.
Sudden, a score, like a book butwith music instead of words,
flew off the shelf right in front of me.

(02:06):
It happened shortly. After I turned off the lights in
the back of the room and as I was moving to shut the lights
off on the other side, there wasabsolutely no reason for it to
have flown off the shelf like that.
I had also gotten very unsettling vibes.
That I was being. Stared at in our main building.
I was working on closing the building around 2:00 AM.

(02:29):
There's a rumor that one of our W basement classrooms is haunted
by a young woman who is looking for her biology assignment.
The rumor is that you'll supposedly see her around 2:00
AM and she'll. Ask you if you've seen it.
I have never had that happen, but I have felt watched when

(02:49):
doing my closing routine in thatpart of the building.
This one wasn't actually a ghost, but it sure amped up the
creepy vibes I got in our main. Building's basement.
I was opening the building and was the only person inside at
the time. I had gotten to the last floor,
our east side basement, and had just finished hyping myself up
to unlock the doors to the floor.

(03:11):
The east basement. Is pitch black without lights
on. And it's eerie when you can't
see. As soon as I opened the door, I
hear. This very loud.
Screeching coming from the blackabyss in front of me.
This. Sends my nerves skyrocketing.
I ran up the steps but could still hear it.

(03:32):
I somehow found the courage to bolt into the space and flip the
lights on from behind the service counter.
I could. Still hear this loud?
Screeching with the lights on with my new found courage.
Of being able to see. I went to investigate, turns out
one of the fans in the computersfor our patrons was in the

(03:54):
process of dying. I turned the machine off and
reported it dying. Computer fan or not, I thought a
spirit was going to pop out and maul me.

(04:18):
I'm beginning to think all of these aren't just coincidences
by Meredith. I've tried to brush this off,
but too much has happened in tooshort a time and none of it
feels random anymore. I'm.
Visiting my parents for the. Summer and staying in the spare
room in the basement. A couple of nights ago, me and

(04:39):
my mom were talking casually in the kitchen when we suddenly
heard three or five loud. What was that?
That was scary when we suddenly heard three or. 5.
Loud, spaced out bangs coming from the hallway.

(04:59):
These were deep, clear physical hits.
Like someone pounding on the wall with their fist.
Like the bangs from the haunting.
My mom also heard it. I immediately walked through the
house and checked every room. Trying to.
See if something had fallen or shifted.
I didn't want to overreact, but I wanted to be sure.

(05:22):
Everything. Looked normal, nothing was out
of place. The garage door was shut.
After that, I headed downstairs to go to bed.
Not long after I got into the room, my daughter said she saw
my mom standing outside her bedroom door walking back and
forth. She said she heard footsteps.

(05:45):
She assumed it was her grandma, but when I checked, my mum
wasn't there and hadn't been anywhere near that part of the
house. A short while later my dog kept
going to the door and smelling and looking at the door, tail
up. Like cautious, he also.

(06:05):
Whimpered half the night, but never barked.
Then, around 4:00 AM, an old motion sensor alarm in the
basement bathroom suddenly went off.
It was. Plugged in.
Upside down and hadn't been usedin years, but it let out a loud
alarm like someone had triggeredit which sent me into a spiral.

(06:28):
Got very little sleep that night.
Just a. Heavy.
Scary. Feeling the next morning my dad
got on to me for leaving the garage open, but I hadn't.
I had. Just walked through the house
the night before. The door was closed so it must
have opened some time after I went to bed.

(06:49):
Then that evening around 8:45 PMmy dad called down to me and
said something's burning and your room downstairs.
Me and my mom both. Looked at each other.
I ran downstairs and the entire basement was full of smoke.
We called the. Fire department and they
confirmed the ceiling fan motor had completely burned out and

(07:12):
heated up a wire in the ceiling which caught fire.
It wasn't in the room I was staying in, but the room next to
it. All of this happened within
about 48 hours today. Is day. 3 Nothing else I've
noticed since last night. Added to mention, my parents

(07:33):
have lived here for. 30. Four years and built the home,
not on any ground worth mentioning.
This is the first time my parents have ever encountered
something like this. They are definitely spooked.

(07:59):
The Man on the Stage by Anonymous Back in the early
2000s, I worked in an old working men's bar in.
Chester mainly. In the function room, we used to
put on rock nights, host weddings, and occasionally have
biker meetups, which tended to get a bit messy, often requiring

(08:21):
us to order extra alcohol one night after a function I can't
quite remember what it was I had.
Pulled the. Shutters down on the front of
the bar and started mopping the floors behind it.
The function room had a stage inthe corner.
While mopping, I glanced up toward the stage and saw what

(08:42):
looked like the shadow of a man standing there.
It didn't register at first. I looked right back down and
kept mopping. Then it hit me.
There's a man on the stage. I looked back up, but there was
nothing there. Still a bit confused about what

(09:02):
I'd just seen, the woman I worked with came back into the
room and asked if I was OK. Yep, I'm fine, I replied without
hesitation. She asked have you seen
anything? I hesitated, then said maybe.
Her reply still gives me goosebumps to this day.

(09:23):
Was it a man? I see him all the time.
I almost quit that evening, but I never saw anything there
again. Please.
