And now on to the strange stories on Madam Strange Ways.

(02:03):
Experience near Berkeley Hills, California by Depression Fiesta.
Hey everyone, I wanted to share an experience my wife and I had
a couple of years ago. We've told our friends and
family many times, and after some research and reflection, I

(02:24):
think it's time to share it here.
I want to preface this by sayingthat we didn't actually see
anything. Our encounter was entirely
auditory. Neither of us were into the
Bigfoot scene at the time. I've always been more fascinated
by UFOs, so this experience was hard to interpret at the time,

(02:49):
to say the least. The Encounter On April 3rd,
2021, between 12:00 and 1:00 PM,my wife and I were hiking up the
Upper Fire Trail in the BerkeleyHills.
We used to hike these trails almost every weekend, and on
this particular day we plan to visit the Botanical Gardens on

(03:12):
Centennial Drive. As we came in from the South on
the upper fire Trail, we stumbled upon a natural opening
that presented a less beaten offroad path.
It seemed like a potential shortcut to the lower fire
trail, so we decided to follow it.

(03:34):
The path took us on a steep decline into the forest,
becoming more overgrown and covered with tree needles.
After some time, something strange happened.
All sound around us suddenly disappeared.

(03:55):
It was like we stepped into a soundproof room.
You could physically feel the absence of noise on your
eardrums. While we didn't consciously
acknowledge this between US and the moment, we both felt it.
Then shortly after we started hearing voices. 2 distinct

(04:19):
voices coming from different directions behind us and at a
higher elevation than we were. They were speaking or yelling to
each other in what sounded like a language.
Though completely unintelligibleto us, the utterances were
advanced and had some sort of structure to them, which is why

(04:41):
I describe it as a language. Immediately after the
experience. I think I described it as an
angry sounding foreign tribal dialect to my wife.
We froze, exchanged confused looks, listened in for 10
seconds, and then instinctively decided to get the hell out of

(05:06):
there. As we literally started running,
the voices became louder and more frustrated, as if
responding to our departure, which only prompted us to run
faster. Fortunately, we very quickly
found an opening to the lower fire trail and the experience
ended there. We came down the exit path onto

(05:29):
the lower fire trail. When we got home I started
Googling things like weird sounds in forests California and
eventually came across the Sierra sounds.
The recordings were eerily similar to what we heard that
day and we are now both quite sure that we heard some version

(05:53):
of samurai chatter. I'm not sure what happened on
that day, but looking back it's still surreal to me how close
this occurred to civilization. Well, depression Fiesta.

(06:23):
As if I needed any more reason to never go hiking.
There it is. I just, I won't be doing that,
but I'm so relieved that you andyour wife got out of there
unscathed and also that you got out of there when you did.
Very smart. You know, always trust your gut.
Story after story after story that I read, people are

(06:45):
listening to their gut instinctswhen it's telling them danger,
danger. So good job getting out of
there. And if anyone else, if you're in
the woods and you're hearing sounds that don't sound right,
you know, I, I don't care if it turns out to be a supernatural
entity or if it is just a wood snipe or a normal creature,

(07:10):
that's not going to hurt you. I don't care.
It's fine. There's no shame in running.
There's no shame. You might as well go because
we're not built. You know, maybe at one point we
were built for that. We are no longer built for
living in nature like that and existing alongside wild animals.

(07:32):
We're just not, we're not, you know, we have phones that are
more powerful than the computersthat sent us to the moon and
they are in our pockets 24/7. We have food magically delivered
to our doors. You know, the hunting and
gathering phase, like that's done.
We're not hunting. We're not gathering.
So there's no shame in running. Just run.

(07:53):
So what intrigued me the most about your story was samurai
chatter. Like, excuse me, we're talking
about a potential Bigfoot sighting.
I don't understand how samurais have anything to do with it.
Well, I'm going to get into it into a SEC in a second.
We're going to get into it in a second.

(08:14):
But first, I kind of want to just, you know, I kind of want
to just make a mention. I think when most people think
of like the strange and unusual and the unexplained, probably
the first thing that they think of is not Bigfoot.
And some of you who are listening may be thinking I'm
here for ghost stories, not Bigfoot stories.
Well, I would like to argue thateven though lots of the stories

(08:39):
are about ghosts and are about demons and are about other
unexplained phenomena like demons and ghosts and sleep
paralysis demons. Oh my yes, those are standard.
But Bigfoot is also unexplained. And when I was growing up, I
don't know if this is the case anymore, but when I was growing

(09:00):
up, I was obsessed with anythingunexplained.
But it was, you know, the Loch Ness Monster, it was Nessie, it
was Bigfoot, it was the Bermuda Triangle.
And of course it was quicksand. I wanted to know anything about
that. Or like, oh, Egypt, the
pyramids. I don't even, I mean, I guess

(09:22):
that's unexplained because how did they build it?
But I actually saw something about that said, oh, this is how
they built it and it was fascinating.
So I guess that's not really unexplained, but it's still
mysterious, right? So Bigfoot definitely fits
within the strange and unusual. Like it's unexplained.
What did depression Fiesta encounter that day?
We don't know it's unexplained, but if we are looking at it as

(09:46):
if it is a Bigfoot signing, which it does sound like a
pretty standard Bigfoot signing,we might as well just kind of do
a do a quick explanation of of Bigfoot or Sasquatch, especially
for the uninitiated. So you've got Bigfoot, you also
might call Bigfoot Sasquatch. Now, when you're talking about
multiple bigfoots, it's not big feet.

(10:10):
No, no, it's Bigfoot's or Bigfoot.
Like when you talk about a bunchof fish, how fish is just fish.
It's not fishes, it's just, it'sjust Bigfoot and I'm going to
mess it up constantly. So just get ready for that.
So typically with Bigfoot, you've got at least 6 feet tall,
up to 10 feet tall. I've heard some stories where

(10:31):
it's like 15 feet tall. That's too tall.
That's just, it's too tall. Shut it down.
Just doesn't seem likely. So that estimates their weight
at around 500 to 800 lbs. And by the way, I was looking up
like, what's £800? Did you know a horse of course,
of course, is like 900 lbs. That's way more than I thought.

(10:56):
I don't. I've never seen a horse in
person. I guess I just had no idea that
horses were that heavy. So imagine 9/10 of a horse is on
the heavy side for a Bigfoot. So their fur is either dark
brown or black or reddish, kind of gingery.
They've got like a flat nose, deep set eyes, pronounced brow

(11:20):
ridges, but otherwise a pretty human face and like human teeth.
Their hands and feet, obviously those are going to be very
large, especially the feet. You know what they say, the
bigger the feet, the bigger the shoes.
Although big, famously Bigfoot'sBigfoot does not wear shoes.

(11:44):
Although if a Bigfoot did wear shoes, I think it would be
Birkenstocks. Birkenstocks or Crocs.
You know what? Tell me what you think.
What shoes do you think a Bigfoot would wear?
e-mail me madamstrangeways@gmail.com.
They're also known for aside from famously not wearing shoes

(12:07):
and famously having very big feet, they are also known for
being very stinky. They're very smelly.
It's generally described as an intense musky or skunk like
smell or rotting garbage, which seems rude.

(12:28):
But Speaking of skunk, actually one of the Bigfoot variants is
called the Skunk Ape and that's found specifically in Florida.
Which begs the question, how many instances of Florida Man
were actually just a skunk ape slash Bigfoot?
We may never know. So that's what they kind of look

(12:49):
like. That's what they smell like.
And then they're also shy. They're elusive.
They avoid humans. And they are also known for
making very specific noises, howling and screaming and tree
knocking or wood knocking where they're banging something
against a tree or rocks. And so it's this like, you know,
if you're in the woods and this is happening, it's this like

(13:11):
echoing, like just off putting sound.
I I'm associating it with a scene in the Blair Witch
project, but it's been so long since I've watched it, I don't
actually know if that's the sound that they're hearing.
But wouldn't that be an interesting alternate ending is
it's not the Blair Witch, it's the Blair Bigfoot.

(13:32):
So most of you, hopefully some of you all and then most of you
some and maybe none of you may associate Bigfoot with the
Patterson Gimlin film. Like people who are really into
the JFK assassination, not many people know the name of the

(13:53):
film. They just know that they've seen
it. So when you're talking to people
who are really interested in theJFK assassination, they're going
to be talking about the Zipruderfilm, which is the name of which
is what they call the film that is made of JFK.
Being I'm not on Tiktok, I can say murdered, murdered,
assassinated. So that's what you call that
film. But if you're a Bigfoot

(14:15):
enthusiast, then you know that the name of that film, that
famous shot of Bigfoot walking with that loping gait and arms
swinging, you know, glancing over its shoulder.
That recording is known as the Patterson Gimlin film, and it
was recorded in 1967. It's probably the most famous

(14:37):
piece of Bigfoot evidence. It was filmed in Bluff Creek,
California, so not too far from the Pacific Northwest.
It was filmed by Rodger Patterson and his partner Bob
Gimlin, hence Patterson Gimlin. They do decide to call Bigfoot
Patty, named after the name of the film, Patterson Gimlin.

(15:02):
They call Bigfoot Patty because, spoiler alert, Bigfoot in that
film is said to be a female Bigfoot, which is probably why
she's not that tall. She's only people have decided
that she's only about 6 foot 8. And I say only like that's
really tall, but it's not supernaturally tall.

(15:23):
It's not preternaturally tall. So that's the explanation for
why she's only 6 foot 8 is she'sa she because lady Bigfoot.
Damn it's hard. Lady Bigfoots are smaller.
Although at this rate I'm kind of shocked she doesn't also have
a pink bow and eyelashes. Because everyone knows that's

(15:46):
how you know it's a girl. You should put a bow on it.
So Patty and that film is probably the Bigfoot that most
people associate when they thinkof Bigfoot.
If you have not seen the film, you can just Google Patterson
Gimlin. You're going to see it
immediately. Just a even just a still, but
you will have seen it referencedin pop culture.

(16:07):
The two things that come to mindimmediately.
Elf does a riff on it and so does the Grinch.
Weirdly, 2 Christmas films strangely reference the Bigfoot
Patterson Gimlin film. So as if howling and screaming
and banging on trees isn't scaryenough of a concept to hear in

(16:30):
the middle of the woods and to potentially be Bigfoot.
As if that's not scary enough, there is another type of
vocalization that is associated with Bigfoot.
And Yep, it's Samurai chatter. The reason it's called Samurai
chatter is it literally sounds like 2 Japanese samurai men and

(16:53):
an old Kurosawa film yelling at each other in the middle of the
woods. Now the clip I'm about to play
is part of what they call the Sierra Sounds recorded by Ron
Morehead and Al Berry. Again, if you're end to Bigfoot,
you know about the Sierra soundsand I guarantee that you have a

(17:15):
strong opinion about them. So let's listen 1st and know
that these are two people, just two men supposedly alone out in
the Sierra Nevada mountains in California in 1971.
Keep in mind when you're listening, the voices that sound
closest and loudest, the ones closest to the mic, those are

(17:38):
going to be the men that are making the recording.
So those are human voices. The sounds, the voices that you
hear echoing that is allegedly Bigfoot.
Let's take a listen. I don't know though.

(18:30):
The, the yelling, the the howling, all the other sounds,
Yeah, OK, whatever. But like, something about the
samurai chatter really just freaks me out.
I don't want to hear it in the middle of the forest.
You you will find people who think that it's a hoax, even
though it's considered sort of the the smoking gun along with
the Patterson Gimlin film. It's kind of considered either

(18:54):
the smoking gun or it's an embarrassment because apparently
Ron Morehead was kind of caught selling obviously faked Bigfoot
tracks. So, you know, was he faking?
Was he just addicted to fame andhe couldn't replicate the fame

(19:15):
of the recording and he just needed to make fake tracks?
I don't know. But apparently that is a problem
for a lot of people when they'retalking about the Sierra sounds.
So there's that. But there are lots of people.
There's a lot of people who alsoclaim to have heard samurai
sounds in the woods like Depression Fiesta, who had never

(19:37):
heard of them before, who did not have this sort of
information about Bigfoot, was not a Bigfoot enthusiast going
into this, had to Google what itwas.
And then then, then Depression Fiesta heard the sounds.
And there's lots of other peoplewho have heard samurai chatter
as well. So which is it?
Is it fake? Is it real?

(19:59):
I believe Depression Fiesta. I believe 100% that.
There were scary sounds happening out in the forest that
day, and I don't want to go out and I don't want to hike.
I don't want to hike at all. I certainly don't want to hike
anywhere where there could be a Cryptid.
Let's just say so because I mentioned earlier the howling

(20:22):
and the knocking and the etcetera, the other weird scary
noises that bigfoots are supposedly making in forests.
I thought maybe you guys would want to hear it.
So here's just a short clip of some of the sounds.
And I want when you listen to this, I want you to imagine you
are alone in the woods and theremay or may not be a Cryptid

(20:48):
nearby. Just think about that as you
listen. None.

(21:39):
So whether those sounds were made by samurai or Ronan or
Bigfoot or I, you know, Cleocatra, who is yelling at the
door. So I'm not sure if you can hear
her, but if you can't imagine, it's very cute and very pitiful,

(21:59):
and I badly want to let her in. So regardless of who's making
those sounds, that would be terrifying to hear while you're
out hiking in the woods alone orwith one other person.
And I mean, that's practically alone.
What I mean is with no means to protect yourself.
Oh, that's really spooky. So if you have had any sort of

(22:19):
encounters like that in the woods or the forest, hearing
noises that you can't explain, Iwant to hear about it.
So go ahead, send that over to madamstrangeways@gmail.com.

(22:45):
I'm getting old so I thought I should document my sighting
story by Hitch and the get. This might be kind of long so I
apologize. This happened in 1970 or maybe
1971. I was 14 or 15.

(23:09):
My friend and I were in the Boy Scouts and that summer we went
to Arkansas to do a couple hikesfor some merit badges if I
remember correctly, and one of them was the Butterfield Hiking
Trail. The trail started in Devil's Den
State Park and that is where we camped.

(23:29):
When we awoke, we started the hike.
Remember this was 1970. The trail wasn't marked well and
not that heavily travelled. Our gear was rudimentary.
I'm not even sure I had real boots.
All our gear was pretty much army surplus stuff, canteens,

(23:49):
compasses, tents. We must have had a map but I
think it was not much better than a hand drawn map.
I just checked today and it saysthe trail is 15 miles.
It certainly wasn't then and we had planned on doing it as a day
hike and just carried A canteen each, the map and A compass.

(24:12):
Being scouts we probably had some sort of first aid kit we
put together too. There was a trailhead we could
walk to when we got up in the morning and initially the trail
was pretty well beaten down. The terrain wasn't too tough, it
was a deciduous forest, very thick underbrush.
It was also summer and would getpretty hot and there is a lot of

(24:35):
humidity. I don't recall anything unusual
or exciting for most of the hikeuntil the trail we were
following eventually petered out.
I really have no idea how far wehiked, but it was pretty hot and
it was late afternoon I think. So we realized we lost the trail

(24:57):
and it was probably too late to head back the way we came.
While trying to figure out what to do, we believed we heard a
motor vehicle in the distance tothe West.
We figured getting to a road would be the best option, but in
order to get there we would haveto bushwhack through the dense
underbrush. At least it was downhill so we

(25:21):
headed down the hill again. Not sure how long or far it was
but we broke out to a very nice, wide and well travelled trail.
Hallelujah. We were really hot and tired
from going through the brush so we sat down to rest and drink
some water. We were both relieved to at

(25:42):
least find a well travelled trail.
We could also hear what we thought might be a Creek
flowing. This is where things got weird.
While we were resting we heard something in the Bush just up
the slope not too far away call out.

(26:04):
The best way I could try to describe it is like some sort of
monkey or APL. Just after that we heard a tree
shake and heard a thump, a thud.We saw the top of the tree sway
big tree. This was also up slope and
really not that far away. The trail we had found pretty

(26:28):
much ran horizontal down the slope.
That is the direction we had planned on going.
There was a dip in the trail anda curve that went out of visual
sight. We were curious what was making
the noise and I told my friend to start down the trail and I
would hang back and stay kneeling where I was.

(26:51):
The thought was maybe the creature that yelped or screamed
would show itself. Thinking we had both taken off,
my friend disappeared out of sight and the creature we heard
called out again, but this time another creature further down
the trail where my friend went yelled back.

(27:16):
I couldn't see anything through the brush and I must have
realized hanging back wasn't thebest idea, so I got up and
started down the trail. I then realized the trail wasn't
too far from where the tree shook, the noise and the scream.
By this point I was feeling pretty uncomfortable.

(27:38):
I got to where the trail headed, straight down the hill and my
friend was waiting there and we headed down.
My friend was in the lead and assoon as we started down I heard
something running through the brush from where we had just
come. I immediately yelled at my
friend to run. I wasn't sure it was running

(28:01):
after us or not, but I looked back over my left shoulder and I
saw it running back up the trailwe had just come down.
Like I said, the brush was thickand I only caught glimpses
except one point where I could see its chest, shoulder and

(28:22):
face. I was running down the hill
looking back and it was running up the trail and looking down at
us. It's crazy.
It's been almost 55 years and I vividly remember the whole
encounter. It was only glimpses.
I saw black hair, the face had aSheen from the sun.

(28:47):
It was looking at us while we were running West and into the
sun. I know it was pretty tall
because walking down the trail Icould not see anything down
slope. This thing was tall enough to be
seen and see us. The rest is anti climatic but I

(29:11):
should go ahead and finish the story I suppose.
We kept running down the hill until we came out of the brush
and into a clearing with a herd of cattle next to the Creek.
We heard. We thought we saw a bull and we
sprinted across the Creek. Nothing had chased us and there
was also the road we had heard, a gravel or dirt Rd. but a road

(29:35):
just the same. We headed north I believe and
eventually a guy in a pickup drove by and gave us a ride to
our camp that night. I remember washing my clothes at
the campground laundry and talking to a park Ranger and
telling him about our day. He didn't think we were crazy

(29:57):
and said people see some pretty strange things out there.
This was before the Internet andI really had not heard anything
about Bigfoot sightings and now with the Internet and reading
all these people's experiences Iread and nod my head because I
know exactly what some of these people are talking about.

(30:21):
Like I said, I'm older and I stayed in touch with my friend
all these years and I wanted to confirm what I remembered with
him and this is what he remembers as well.
Although when I yelled run he did just that and he didn't look
back so he didn't see what I saw.

(30:45):
Again, sorry this was so long but I felt I needed to document
my story. Edit There was mention of a baby
Sasquatch which triggered something that I forgot about
and I will add here. Just before the trail petered
out we stepped over a small puddle that was just mud.

(31:07):
At that point something caught my eye and it took a couple
steps for my brain to tell me there was something unusual in
the mud. I told my friend to hold up and
we went back to the mud spot andthere was a footprint in it.

(31:28):
It was clearly a bare footprint. It was not a large footprint at
all. It was maybe 8 or 9 inches long
and fairly narrow. We were pretty much in the
middle of nowhere, and who wouldbe walking around barefoot out
there anyway? We shrugged our shoulders and
soldiered on. Hadn't really considered a

(31:51):
youthful Bigfoot, but thinking about it now, maybe it was.
We heard two once we bushwhackeddown the hill.
Maybe it was one of them, or maybe there were more than two.
Who? No

(32:20):
hitch. It sounds like you and your
buddy spooked a little. A cute little Bigfoot family
just going out for a walk and you guys scared each other.
But I think that you were probably far more scared than
the Bigfoots were for sure. Even if one is like Bigfoot,
Junior, I mean, even if you're asmall Bigfoot, you are probably

(32:45):
capable of ripping A child's legs and arms off.
So I'm so glad. I'm so glad that you guys
survived. I'm glad you survived.
I'm sorry that you experienced that.
But thank you so much for trusting me with your story.
So this happened in Devil's Den State Park, which is in West

(33:06):
Fork, AR and this place, Devil'sDen has it all.
It's got ghosts, it's got Bigfoots, it's got UF OS, and
probably other things that I am not even aware of.
Lots of mysterious unexplained stuff happening at Devil's Den.
Which does beg the question thatif Devil's Den was called

(33:29):
something like Mossy Acres, would it still have all of these
sightings and experiences happening in it?
Or is there something about the fact that it's called Devil's
Den, Does that prime you when you go there for some sort of
experience? Either way, it feels like the

(33:50):
Bigfoot's would still have been there if this were.
If this was Bigfoot's that Hitchand his buddy experienced, then
I think they would have been there regardless.
But the ghosts, the UFOs, I don't know.
So it's crazy because unlike thefirst story where Depression

(34:10):
Fiesta only heard the sounds, you Hitch actually saw the face
and you were even able to see like the Sheen of perspiration
because it was so hot out there. So obviously these bigfoots,
they're sweating too. Imagine how miserable that must
be, like having that much hair covering every part of your body

(34:33):
that would be miserable in the summer.
And just imagine there's not enough deodorant.
It doesn't exist. Something important to note is
that there wasn't stuff about Bigfoot at the time, at least
not at all to the level that there is now.
You know, so back in 1970 when this happened, I mean, think

(34:53):
about it. The Patterson Gimlin film wasn't
even filmed until 1967. This is only three years after
that. It's completely possible that
Hitch had not even heard of thatfilm.
Although I think kids, I don't know, OK, again, I don't know
about now, but probably kids of every age prior to social media

(35:15):
at the very least, always interested in the mysterious and
the unexplained. No, you know what?
I will say, the kids these days have to be interested in that
because creepypastas exist. Kids love creepypastas.
Come on, give a kid a creepypasta.
He'll eat for a week. Teach a kid to creepypasta and

(35:36):
they will post a lot of creepy pastas.
I don't know where that was going.
The point is, kids love unexplained stuff.
So it's possible that Hitch maybe maybe have heard, may have
heard of, you know, Bigfoot or like may have heard of things
that happened in Devil's Den. It's also just called Devil's
Den, which, like I said, just kind of sounds ominous.

(35:57):
Apparently it's called Devil's Den because the steam that would
rise from the caves, like in in the middle of the morning or in
the early morning would kind of make people think, Oh my gosh,
that must be steam coming from hell.
Which I guess sure. Point being that Hitch didn't
have Google. This was 1970.

(36:18):
There was no Google. There wasn't social media.
There wasn't, you know, TikTok getting him on.
He wasn't on Bigfoot talk because that wasn't a thing back
then. So, you know, whatever he saw,
whatever he and his friends saw,it wasn't impacted by the
cultural zeitgeist that we all exist in now.

(36:39):
So he saw something. It wasn't human.
It was bipedal. That's terrifying.
As for the other weird unexplained stuff that's
happened at Devil's Den, this isa perfect segue into explaining
what some people think Bigfoot is since there have been UFOs

(37:01):
that have been cited over Devil's Den, which incidentally,
you can read about it in Incident at Devil's Den.
A true story. Which, you know how I feel about
books about the paranormal that have a true story in the title
and Terry Lovelace signs his name.
Terry Lovelace, Esquire. And I feel like you have to, I

(37:24):
feel like, in fact, it's probably important that if
you're going to publish a book about UFO sightings that you
have Esquire after your name. Maybe you even go to law school
specifically just so that you can do that to give yourself a
little bit more credibility. Because coming out about UFOs,

(37:45):
coming out about paranormal, stuff like that, it can ruin
lives. So I think it's fair that Terry
Lovelace thought it was wise to go ahead and tack Esquire there.
I mean, if he's got it, let's put it on there.
So the thing about aliens and Bigfoot is not only are they two
things that Fox Mulder is reallyinto, but apparently some people

(38:08):
think that there is a connectionbetween them that aliens drop
off bigfoots like they they're friends and aliens swing by,
drop off the Bigfoots and then and then leave.
Or there is some sort of alternate reality shifting that

(38:32):
bigfoots can do. There's like portals that open
portals to hear from question mark, I don't know where, but
portals that open up that Bigfoot's can move in and out
of. Multidimensional is the word I
was looking for. So the alien theory is that
Bigfoot's are psychic, they are multidimensional.

(38:53):
They can slip into and out of portals.
They can communicate with us psychically and, and and
Speaking of psychics, did you know that Lorraine Warren of the
infamous demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren.
Lorraine Warren being a an alleged psychic medium, Lorraine

(39:15):
Warren had an encounter with a Bigfoot as documented in their
book The Demonologist. Lorraine Warren had a psychic
conversation with a Bigfoot who was wounded.
She was trying to help the Bigfoot.
It didn't go as planned. And of course, there, of course,
there wasn't any, there wasn't any evidence collected, but it

(39:39):
happened. And strangely, there's
apparently a connection between if you have seen UFOs, then you
have a higher probability of actually seeing a Bigfoot and
vice versa. So why are there so many UFO
sightings in places where there are also Bigfoot sightings?
Question mark, Let me know if you have seen both.

(40:03):
I want to hear about it. In fact, I need to send Hitch.
Hitch, I need to send you Adm because I did see in one of your
comments in this thread. That you said you have a UFO
sighting story. So Hitch is a perfect example of
how some people who have seen UFOs also have a higher

(40:24):
probability of seeing Bigfoot. We've seen it happen already
right here. Sample size of one.
But if you don't think that Bigfoot's are aliens, or at
least are friends with aliens, you might think that Bigfoot is
actually a Nephilim, which is basically a gigantic Angel in

(40:45):
the Bible, huge, strong giant Angel.
And some people believe that that's what Bigfoot is, is that
Bigfoot has just been around forever walking the earth and
actually is a Nephilim. So I guess he wasn't always,
they weren't always on earth. At some point they were in

(41:06):
heaven. You know, I don't really, I, you
know, I didn't, you know what? I'm going to be honest, I didn't
dive too deeply into this one. I'm going to be real with you,
but my favorite explanation of what Bigfoot is, is tied to
Gigantopithecus, which was the largest known ape, stood up to

(41:28):
10 to 12 feet tall. Now remember I said that's 2
feet tall. 15 feet too tall, Still too tall.
That's still taller than Gigantopithecus. 12 feet tall is
terrifying, and they weighed over 1000 lbs, but you know what
that means? That's more than a horse.
That's £100 more than a standardhorse.

(41:49):
What kind of horse? I don't know, I didn't ask.
Arabian, maybe. So Gigantopithecus had a robust
build, long arms, huge feet obviously, and some people say
that Gigantopithecus survived and walked over the land bridge
just like humans did and that's how they ended up in North

(42:11):
America coming from Asia. Apparently Gigantopithecus died
out just a few 100,000 years ago, so not that long.
And our evolutionary cousins existed alongside them is what
that means. So like humans existed alongside
Gigantopithecus. What I find interesting is that

(42:32):
no one is saying Gigantopithecusand humans obviously made it.
And this is where we get book series like Ice Planet
Barbarians. That's just seems seems obvious
to me having heard of and definitely not read those books.
That just seems to me what's happening is humans.

(42:53):
They fell in love, which I can check in pithecus.
They were actually fated mates. I'm going to stop.
But whatever Bigfoot is, whatever Bigfoot may be, Hitch
seeing one and hearing all thosesounds as it's just him and his
friend. Your kids like, yeah, you're Boy

(43:15):
Scouts, so you know how to tie aknot and you know how to
probably start a fire. But I don't think they give
merit badges for hand to hand combat with bigfoots.
I just don't think they do. Maybe they do now.
Maybe that's something in 2025 that the Boy Scouts are going to
be discussing. Don't know.
But you know what? I this is breaking news because

(43:39):
I hadn't heard this news. Actually this news hadn't
happened when I recorded the first commentary for the first
story. But since then this is new.
Two men died like 2024. Late 2024 died going out to find
Bigfoot. They went out on a Bigfoot

(44:00):
expedition. They were ill prepared for the
weather and they died of exposure.
That's tragic. So I'm just I'm, I'm saying this
because yes, Bigfoot is fascinating.
Yes, I love watching and readingpeople looking into Bigfoot.

(44:21):
Please, if you're going to go out there and you're going to
look for any cryptids, Bigfoot or otherwise, please make sure
that you are prepared. Please don't go anywhere unless
you are prepared to be stranded. Please go prepared.
Please, if you're going to be doing any sort of Cryptid
hunting, just take care of yourself.
Bring enough water, bring enoughif it's cold, you know, bring
enough warmth, bring enough layers.

(44:43):
Wear enough layers. Be prepared to get lost out in
the heavily wooded areas. Please just be safe out there.
And by the way, in Scamania County, I'm not sure if I
pronounced that right. Otherwise, Scamania scam mania.
That's a music festival, probably.

(45:05):
So in the county where the two men were found dead from
exposure, Apparently harming Bigfoot is punishable by a $1000
fine and can also include jail time, according to the county's
Chamber of Commerce. So if you do go hunting for
Bigfoot, make sure it's not literal hunting.

(45:27):
It's more of a more of an Easteregg hunt sort of situation with
Bigfoot. Please just be safe out there.
Thank you so much for joining mefor such a lovely spooky time.
