For my very first episode I reached out to my friend Tara McCann to share her story as I think her story will help someone out there that is finding her way. In this episode we have an open conversation about her life, how she paved her own way through all of life's struggles beginning with her rough child hood with both her mother and father in and out of jail for fraud, drugs and alcohol, feeling like she didn't belong, to ending a relationship with someone she truly loved.
Learn of the pivotal moments that guided her, how she listened to her heart along the way to find her way. Tara is now a successful senior marketing manager living in New York. If you meet her now, you would have never known of the struggles and the pain she went through. Her mindset, her laugh, her confidence and the joy that exudes from her would tell you otherwise...that she paved her own way.
A conversation between friends packed with messages of vulnerability, internal strength, sitting with your feelings, being real with yourself.
"You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have."
"Choosing to love yourself not in spite of the pain you are going through, you are choosing to love yourself because of the pain that you went through."
"Being real takes looking at the hard stuff."
