Today we're going back in time to 1978 and the first Disney Park visit for a young couple, my parents, that would kick off generations of magic. My dad joins me to talk about growing up seeing Disneyland on TV, what he remembers about Walt's passing, and learning there'd be a new park in Florida and that there would be so much more coming in the future. And of course we reminisce how it felt for him and my mom to finally get to visit a Disney park. He shares some of his first impressions, how many of the attractions were different, and that one thing he always does last when it's time to fly back to Detroit. This is part 1 of a two part episode.
