This week, we went to Twin Oaks for some pizza. We swear we're coming back for their other entrees, but we've been in a pizza mood. It's Pizza Spring. This Bridgeport institution has been in business since 1957, located at 818 W. Main St. Open Tue-Sun 4-9 PM.
Here's what we tried:

Then, the Martians are coming! Matt brings a well known fable back from the 30s. In October of 1939, just before Halloween, the folks at CBS wanted to cook up something special to scare the kiddies young and old, and they definitely did. Matt goes into detail on the panic and mass hysteria caused by the Orson Welles radio broadcast of War of the Worlds, a false reporting long before the eras of the fake serial, the mockumentary, or found footage. Matt also goes into the wild broadcast aftermath that happened later in Quito, Ecuador.
They also talk about silly geese, the classics, WWII weirdness, giant offset trucks, and the infamous missing food from Episode 46...
