Hollywood is often portrayed as a world of glitz and glamour, home to the rich, famous, and beautiful, with their mansions and seemingly carefree lifestyles. It’s seen as the place where dreams come true—especially if you're a young starlet or handsome actor with the right looks and talent to make it on the big screen. The media pushes the idea that we should aspire to be like them, but that's far from the truth!
Cheating, lying, sex trafficking, murder, rape, abuse, ageism, prostitution, and the infamous casting couch are just a few of the scandals that have been and are currently changing the face of the entertainment industry. Yet, these "beautiful people" are still put on a pedestal as role models and leaders and are idolized by millions worldwide.
WHY?
So can anyone join their club? Furthermore, why would anyone want to?
In this episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT, Rich Baron, and Maikel Bailey discuss the dark side of idolization and leadership.
