Meet Your Host:
Hey there! I’m Michelle Kui—Visibility Marketing and Speaker Success Coach.
I’m the founder of Elevate LifeCoaching, where I help coaches like you build a stand-out brand, attract high-quality 5-6 figure clients, and land paid speaking gigs—all by leveraging the #1 most important asset in your business (hint: it’s not JUST social media!).
My Journey into Public Speaking & Visibility
My speaking journey started early—at 9 years old when my dad voluntold me to enter a speech contest (thanks, Dad!). Since then, I became the go-to speaker whenever someone needed a voice on short notice.
From leading corporate workshops to running training sessions, I thrived where most people froze—grabbing the mic while others sat back, hoping not to get called on.
After working with hundreds of coaches, I realized a HUGE missing piece that most entrepreneurs completely overlook—and it’s the #1 strategy top coaches use to grow their business, attract premium clients, and get booked on bigger stages.
Are you using it? If not, let’s change that. 🚀

(01:50):
Elizabeth, hi, so good to seeyou.
So good to see you.
I was just recently on yoursocial and previously you were a
photographer and I remember youposting recently about
attending a photographyconvention.
Yes, I am still a photographerand I remember you posting
recently about attending aphotography convention.
Beth (02:06):
Yes, I am still a
photographer.
Michelle (02:10):
How did you get into
coaching?
From a photographer to coaching, how did that happen?
Beth (02:15):
It's always been a part of
it.
Since I'm a psychic medium andintuitive tarot reader and a
Reiki healer, I have always metpeople who needed my services,
and I have now, in the last fewyears, decided to make it part
of my business.
Michelle (02:35):
Was there a part of
your journey where you felt like
you got pulled into doing Reiki, psychic medium, like how did
that start?
Because photography issomething you would think that
it's more like you have theprints right, you take a photo,
it looks pretty, but peopledon't normally associate it with
psychic medium, so how did thatcome together?
Beth (02:56):
I owned a children and
family portrait studio for about
12 years and in getting to knowmy clients as I was
photographing them and throughthe whole process of meeting
them and photographing them andthen the sales process and
delivering them, I really becamea part of their family and with
that I had the ability to helpthem in other ways and it just
(03:20):
kind of became part of who I wasto also be able to help people
with their struggles androadblocks in life.
So now I've been developing itover the last few years into an
actual business.
Michelle (03:33):
So let's say I'm
someone who has no idea of what
the psychic medium do and whatthe tarot card reader do, so
what do you do exactly?
Beth (03:41):
I talk to people and I
find out where the roadblocks
are, and then I tap into myspirit guides and consult the
tarot cards and also, as amedium, I can talk to their
ancestors who have passed on andwith all of that information I
can pass on to them and helpthem decipher it so that they
(04:01):
can make decisions in their lifeof how they want to go, how
they want to move past theseroadblocks or struggles and
challenges that they're having.
Michelle (04:09):
I have this image of
you and being like the channel
funnel through and you're kindof like the medium communicator
between the past and the presentand there's always something
that happened in our past andjust unexplained.
Beth (04:25):
Yes, there is, and I am.
That's a perfect way.
In the Reiki world we do talkabout that channel, that we
channel the energy from whateverour higher power is into
ourselves and then we canchannel that into the person
that we're healing.
So that is an excellent way totalk about it.
Michelle (04:41):
And so one of the
things that we keep talking
about is finding what keepingthem stuck and what's all these
past things that's holding themback.
What are some of the thingsthat are holding people?
Beth (04:53):
back A lot of times.
It's things that we were toldin our childhood that we weren't
good enough in some way, thatwhat we were doing wasn't the
right way.
A lot of these blocks arelearned patterns from our
childhood.
Either parents or teachers orother adult figures in our lives
tell us things and then weinternalize those and then in
our adult years those become ourroadblocks in life.
(05:16):
Somebody told me when I was achild that my drawing wasn't
very good, so then we think Ican't draw.
Michelle (05:24):
I would say I have
that roadblock in my life.
I remember in my second grademy mom sent me to a art class
and we had to draw a tree, andso my imagination is that the
tree branches will be goingbehind the houses.
So I drew it behind the houseso it looks like the branches
have broken, but in art there'sreally no right or wrong doing
(05:45):
it.
But I got a slap on my hand andsay that's not how you draw a
tree, and ever since then Idon't draw trees.
Beth (05:51):
Yes, that is a perfect
example and that leads to a lot
of other roadblocks in life.
I didn't do that well, so whatelse am I not doing well?
Michelle (06:00):
That's very
interesting.
So I'm curious because a lot ofmy audience entrepreneurs,
business owners and coaches whoare trying to get out into the
world and they are trying togrow their business.
They're trying to get theirmessage out.
So how does these kind of likewhat you said roadblocks right,
that was holding us back.
How did they show up in ourbusiness and what is it doing to
(06:21):
our creativity?
Beth (06:22):
For me personally.
One of my big roadblocks is Ididn't want to be visible on
social media.
It wasn't about me, it wasabout other things.
I was the great reposter ofother people's information and
posts.
I didn't want it to be about meand that comes from my
childhood and that has been areal big roadblock that I have
(06:43):
been addressing in my life.
That I personally am showing upon social media.
It's pictures of me, picturesI've taken a lot of information
about who I am and what I'mdoing with my business and the
direction I want my business togo.
So that has been a huge hurdlefor me to overcome.
Michelle (07:00):
that I am the person
visible on social media, If you
don't mind sharing what was themessage that kept you invisible.
Beth (07:07):
The message was that I
needed to be really perfect at
everything that I did, thateverything that I did in life
had to be completely perfect, and unless it was perfect I
shouldn't do it.
So that made me a very shychild, because I knew I wasn't
perfect, so I didn't really putmyself out there.
Michelle (07:27):
Yeah, and so, looking
at where you were and where you
are now, I see you on socialall the time.
You're posting and you're here, obviously, in the podcast and
also doing more speaking.
I love that for you.
And so what are some of thethings that we can do on a daily
basis that would kind of helpus to become more creative,
(07:49):
become this unstoppable personthat you are today?
Beth (07:52):
It is all about baby steps
Because as humans, we want to
stay safe and that comes frombeing chased by wild animals and
being in wars.
That is kind of ingrained intoour DNA that we need to do
everything we can to be safe.
So, by taking little baby steps, just posting one thing on
(08:14):
social media that was verypersonal to me was a huge step,
but it was a little thing andit's like oh well, I posted this
one little tiny thing and itwas really well accepted, so let
me post another little thing.
And with each little step Itook I felt safer about posting
on social media and people cando that in everyday life.
(08:36):
If it is about saying they're aphotographer, posting one
picture that they took and justsay, hey, I'm venturing into the
world of photography and here'san image that I took and see
what people say, and for themost part it's going to be a
really good response.
People are going to say goodthings about it, they're going
(08:56):
to like it and just startingthose little things where it's
with just friends and family, that it's a safe space.
Saying this one little thingabout me it was really huge for
me to admit to people that I wasa psychic medium.
So by telling friends that Iknew, who also had abilities,
that I was a psychic medium andgetting that positive feedback
(09:18):
from them was really positive, then I could tell other people
and I could tell people I didn'tknow and I could tell my family
, who I knew wouldn't be veryreceptive to it.
It was just those little stepsto overcome my saying that I'm a
psychic medium.
Michelle (09:32):
I love that taking
baby steps.
I think a lot of us go into, oh, I want to be this person and I
want to become that person, andtherefore they're taking a big
leap into something that reallygenerates a lot of fear.
And when I think about thingsthat holding us back a lot of
time, I think about the fearthat's holding us back.
And so I'm curious, because wetalk about the creativity and a
(09:55):
lot of the photographers, entrepreneurs and even coaches
they're looking for creativityin their life because it allows
us to create the content, itallows us to create videos, to
create graphic, you name itright.
There's a lot of things that wedo that require creativity.
Yes, yeah, so how do we elevatethat creativity in our life?
Beth (10:19):
One of the things that I
found in my life and from all of
my research into creativity isby taking all of those
day-to-day things that we haveto do and making them into
habits and rituals and thenelevating that into habits and
routines and then elevating itinto a ritual where we don't
have to think about it.
It just happens.
(10:39):
There is a prompt in life andit happens For me every morning.
My cat, at 6.30am, stands on mybladder, which is the prompt
for me to get up and feed thecat and then start my morning
ritual of getting ready for myday my shower, my makeup, my
coffee.
That is all a ritual and Idon't have to think about any of
(11:01):
it because it happens the sameway every day.
The cat stands on my bladderand I go through this routine.
So, since I don't have to thinkabout it, my brain can wander
into creative daydreaming andwith that creative daydreaming,
I can think about the otherthings of life and see it from
different perspectives anddifferent ways and come up with
different ways of thinking aboutit, because I'm not thinking
(11:23):
about those day-to-dayactivities.
I'm thinking about the nextphotograph that I want to take,
my next marketing campaign, mynext social media post.
So as I'm thinking about it injust kind of this relaxed way, I
come up with different ideas.
Michelle (11:39):
Oh, I love that idea.
As you're talking about this, Ihave this image of Marie Kondo
right, so she does a lot of tidythings up, and so it almost
sounds like we tidy up ourritual right, our daily activity
that we have to do, we must do,and so that we can make room
for other things.
Beth (12:00):
That is really good that
we are tidying up all the
clutter of our mind.
We're getting rid of thedecision fatigue that so many of
us, especially entrepreneurs, suffer from that we are so tired
of making decisions about everylittle thing that we can really
unclutter all of that and bringus into better clarity, yeah.
Michelle (12:21):
So now I'm going to
tap into your genius For people
who are feeling overwhelmed andthey always have a lot to do,
which I know a lot of myaudience.
They always struggle with thisone yes, they just have so much
on their plate their mom, theirmultiple hat that they're
wearing, right, yes, so what aresome of the exercise that you
might be able to walk us throughthat would help them to tidy up
(12:42):
their mind, their cluster?
Beth (12:44):
It would be to like write
down the steps.
Morning routines are always areally good place to start,
because that seems to be themost hectic for everybody.
What are all the things thatyou have to do every morning and
kind of put them in an orderand really just start with a
checklist of this is how we'regoing to do it, and then one day
you don't need the checklist,it just starts happening.
(13:05):
And then it's happening in sucha way that you don't have to
think about it, so that you canmove on to that creative
daydreaming, so you can bethinking of the other things and
not the clutter and theday-to-day of what I'm doing.
Michelle (13:19):
So it's just a matter
of writing things down, making
a list of what are some of thethings that you have to do.
You must do so that you don'thave to think about it anymore,
yes, and so that your mind havemore way of thinking about other
things.
Beth (13:31):
Yes, I have a few clients
that are moms so they drop their
kids off at soccer practice orthey need to pick them up from
wherever.
They're actually also arrivinglike a little early, so they
have five or 10 minutes in thecar that they can just clear
their mind and really thinkabout other things before they
have to go back into that mommode and drive the kids
someplace else or help them withtheir homework or whatever that
(13:54):
they need to do.
So it's also blocking out thosetimes where you can just not
think about anything.
Michelle (14:02):
Time blocking.
I love time blocking.
Beth (14:05):
Time blocking is great and
for me I don't do like a
traditional meditation.
I sit there and I let my mindthink about everything that I'm
worrying about, and then at somepoint I get past all of those
things.
It's like, okay, I've thoughtabout the.
And then at some point I getpast all of those things.
It's like, okay, I've thoughtabout the to do list, I've
agonized over the to do list, what do I really want to think
about?
And I just let my mind go andit goes in really interesting
(14:28):
and different directions.
Michelle (14:30):
Yeah, I personally
love time blogging, so a lot of
time I will look at my calendarand I just block out the time
that I need to do for work.
Where I need improvement on isI need to time block my personal
life.
A lot of times I find myselfnot blocking out my personal
time and I end up squeezing morework to do.
Beth (14:52):
I'm similar.
I don't really time block thetime to go to, like, the grocery
store and meal prep properly, and if I do, it's like, oh, I
don't want to do that, I want todo something else more fun.
But really staying to thosetime blocks and really allowing
yourself to get into that grooveto creative daydream so that
you can think beyond theordinary, it's like, okay, I
(15:13):
need to do a social media onthis and you've got your basic
graphics, your basic images, you've got some basic copy, but
really being able to block outthe time to think beyond that,
to think about a different wayto say it, a more creative way
to say it, something that's alittle bit more on brand for you
than just what AI generated foryou.
Michelle (15:34):
Right, we can all
spot those nowadays because it
all sounds like oh, it's agolden key to unlock something,
yes, yes.
Beth (15:42):
So what is the different
way to say, the golden key or
the different words that arereally more your voice and
really to get in touch with yourinternal intuition so that you
can really make your voice heard.
I took this social media classand they say this is the way to
say things.
It's like, but that's not myvoice.
(16:02):
So really to be able tointernalize that and listen to
your internal voice of how youwant to say it.
Michelle (16:10):
I love that.
So it brings up my nextquestion.
It would be there's a lot ofnoises nowadays.
I mean, we're busy, there's alot of to-dos, limited time and
our time span is so small, butthere's also a lot of noise
that's outside and also within.
What are some of the ways thatyou can share with us that may
(16:31):
be able to help us to listen tothat intuitive voice?
And what does that sound likeor look like, that intuitive?
Beth (16:39):
voice sounds like the good
voice in the back of your head,
Not the one saying there's allthis noise going on, there's all
these things that we have to do.
It's that voice that's sayingwe need to be more creative and
this is how we can be morecreative.
These things aren't important.
To listen to the 24 seven newscoverage isn't important.
(17:01):
Turn off the TV and listen toyour intuition.
Set down the phone and listento your intuition and really
start listening to that voice inthe back of your head.
That is giving you those reallygreat ideas of how to move your
life forward.
Michelle (17:18):
When is the last time
you find yourself in a creative
space and what did you create?
Beth (17:23):
Oh, I was in a creative
space this morning when I was
working on some homework for aclass that I'm taking.
I really took the time to sitand reflect on the questions and
really get myself into thatcreative space and listen to my
intuition of where I want totake that project.
Michelle (17:42):
I would love to hear
what you came up with and all
these amazing things that you'recreating.
I think one of the things thatstood out for me on your bio is
the power of the personalproject.
Can you tell us a little moreabout that?
Beth (17:57):
Well, the personal project
that you're looking for the
power in is life, that how youcan live a more powerful life
and a more creative life, andthe more power you find in your
intuition and your creativedaydreaming is what elevates the
way that you live and how youget things done, and the
creative solutions Even if it'sa creative solution on how to
(18:19):
get through the traffic and getto wherever you need to be on
time it is just really elevatinghow you think about things and
how you live your life and notbeing stuck in that minutiae of
the day-to-day activities.
Michelle (18:34):
Can you give us an
example of like maybe the client
you work with or maybe yourself, in terms of that personal
project where you started tolike just really enjoying and
having living that creative life?
Beth (18:46):
I have one client that I'm
working with now who has really
taken that checklist of how shelives, her every day, of all
those little minutiae of livingevery day.
She is moving past that partand really making it more of a
ritual where she just movesthrough it and she is finally
(19:08):
getting to the place that she'sidentifying what isn't working
in her life, and one of them isher job.
So I have been doing some tarotcard readings for her so that
we can see where she should movefor her career.
Right now she's an accountantand she should not be an
accountant.
It is not a passion for her.
(19:30):
She's just in a place that shedoesn't even want to get to, a
place where this is the job andthen I can live rest of my life.
She wants to find a job thatshe's more passionate about.
So we've been having a lot ofconversations, I've been doing
tarot readings, we've beentapping into her ancestors to
help really get her clarity onwhat the next step is.
Does she need to go back toschool to find a new career?
(19:51):
Does she just need to startpersonal development so that she
can move into a differentcareer?
So we've been doing a lot ofthose things so she can move
forward to the next steps andreally find her passion in life
and what is going to make herhappy.
Because the happier she is inher own life, the happier she'll
be in her marriage and theywant to have a family, so the
happier and more nurturingparent she can be.
Michelle (20:15):
Yeah, what I'm
hearing is you're kind of this
whole entire person.
The way that I see how you'redescribing it is that the whole
person is a project.
The life itself is a project, and a lot of us get trapped into
oh, this is what I was told todo, what I should have done, I
could have done.
So we start following thatpattern and that road that
(20:38):
really doesn't lead to ourpassion.
That doesn't really yes, itdoesn't spark that joy, and so I
love how you help people havingthat clarity and knowing their
next step, and I think it'sreally important to have some
type of direction, especially atwhen we find ourselves at a
crossroad yes, and not knowingwhich way to go, yes, and I love
(21:01):
how listen to that intuitionand being more creative actually
allow you to come up with ideas, new innovations and new vision
of what's possible.
Absolutely yeah.
So tell us what you have inmind for the I don't know the
rest of the year.
What's your vision for 2025?
Beth (21:23):
My vision for 2025 is to
really start promoting my
business so that I can find newpeople out there who need my
services, that I can really helpthem move forward in life,
because the more people I canhelp find their passions and
find their path in life, themore they're going to then help
(21:44):
people they know find theirpassion in life.
I really want to see our worldbeing a much happier, joyful
place.
Yeah, I think it's very neededat the moment.
Yes, so by promoting mybusiness and finding those
people beyond my circle and thepeople they refer to me, being
able to find people that I don'tknow that I can help really
(22:06):
find their passion in life.
Michelle (22:07):
I love that for you.
I really love that for you, andyou have shared so much of the
I hate to use that word, but I'mgoing to sound like AI now the
golden nugget.
I love how you share all thesegolden nuggets because I do know
a lot of ladies within mycommunity, also my own clients.
They have a list of things todo and really that creativity is
(22:31):
so powerful that it allows themto intuition, increasing and
elevating our ability to be morecreative.
Those are all the importantthings that a business owner,
entrepreneur and even everydaylife people can really benefit.
(22:54):
Can you tell us where ouraudience can find you?
Beth (22:58):
They can find me on my
website at ElizabethTollercom.
They can find me on Facebookand Instagram elizabethtollercom
.
They can find me on Facebookand Instagram at Elizabeth
Toller Artist and they can findyou.
Yeah, they can also find you onthis podcast.
Yes, they can find me on thispodcast as well.
I'm a content creator for theVoyage Company, so they can find
me on Voyage LA and BoulderJourneys.
Michelle (23:26):
Voyage LA and Boulder
Journeys.
Oh, I love those places.
I actually had a feature yearsback on Voyage LA.
Yeah, definitely a good placeto be.
Yes, well, thank you so muchfor coming to the show.
You're welcome.
Do you have any last message ortakeaway that you would like to
share with the audience?
Beth (23:40):
Just really find the time
and the ability to tap into your
intuition and develop yourcreativity in any aspect.
Creativity does not mean thatyou are a painter or a
photographer or an artist in anyway.
My father was, I think, one ofthe most creative people I've
ever met and he was a computerprogrammer.
He would make up computerprograms just out of his head,
(24:04):
out of his little brain.
So anything that you do you canapproach in a creative way.
Michelle (24:10):
I love that and thank
you so much for coming.
Thank you, thank you forlistening to make it visible
