Michelle Kuei (00:00):
Whether you launch your first offer, or
maybe you're still trying tofigure out what does that even
mean?
This episode is going to giveyou a little behind the scenes
of what it actually looks liketo promote your coaching offer

And you might have heard peoplesay, Well, I'm in launch mode,
or I'm preparing for my launch,or I haven't launched yet, and

(00:23):
you're wondering, am I supposedto be doing that?
Let me just clarify thatlaunching is just another fancy
word of saying I am opening thedoor and I'm inviting people to
work with me, whether it is yourone-on-one coaching, a group
program, a course, a workshop,or even your very first pay

(00:44):
offer, whatever that looks like.
Today I am going to break downthe three biggest lessons that I
have learned from my recentlaunch to the coaching biz
builder and what I'll dodifferently if I were to start
over.
Even if you haven't launchedanything yet, this is still good
to hear because when you knowwhat to look out for, you'll

(01:04):
save yourself some time, money, and let's be honest, even some
panic attack.
So if you're a coach trying tobuild a coaching business that
actually brings in payingclients, buckle up because
you're gonna want to hear this.
Hey coach, welcome to Make ItVisible Podcast.
I'm Michelle Quay, yourvisibility marketing coach, and

(01:24):
I help female life coaches toget seen in all the right
places, attract happy payingclients, and build a coaching
business that actually feelsgood to run.
Even if you are still trying tofigure things out.
Each week I'm giving youvisibility tips, simple
marketing strategies, andshowing you how to create the
kind of content that connectswith your audience so that you

(01:46):
can stand out, build yourauthority, and attract clients
who's already feeling like a yesbefore they jump onto your
discovery call.
So grab a notebook, pouryourself a favorite drink, and
that's make your coachingbusiness visible.
In today's episode, I'm pullingback the curtain to my most

(02:07):
recent launch to the coachingbiz Builder Group program.
What went well, what wentsideway, and what I'll be
absolutely doing differentlynext time around, especially if
you're thinking about launchingyour own coaching program soon.
Here are the three lessons thatI have learned from my recent
launch and what I would dodifferently.

Lesson number one (02:27):
pick the right platform for now, not for
some days.
As much as I like to preparebefore every launch, there's
always a glitch to thetechnology somewhere midway
through my launch.
I've been using Kajabi as mycourse delivery and email
builder for the last few years, but there's a few things that I

(02:51):
have learned about Kajabi thatjust doesn't quite keep up with
the demands and what I need inmy business for the price that I
am paying per month.
So, two months before Ilaunched my group program, which
is the coaching biz builder, Idecided to move my platform from
Kajabi to high level or aka gohigh level.

(03:14):
But really, the history showsthat it is called high level.
Go high level is still anall-in-one platform, but the
strength that I see with it ishigher in terms of the lead
generation perspective comparedto Kajabi.
After all, if you really studythe history between the two

(03:36):
platforms, one platform wasdesigned for course delivery and
the other one was reallyfocusing on lead generation.
So the unique strength, depending on what you need,
would be different.
So if you're new and you'retrying to decide which platform
should I be choosing to build mywebsite or to host my program
or to do group coaching, here'swhat I would suggest you to do.

(04:00):
You need to sit down and getclear on exactly what you're
trying to accomplish in thismoment of time, not something
that you're planning to do inthe future.
Because if your goal right nowis simply to get one-on-one
clients and building themomentum in achieving that, you
don't need a complicated courseplatform like Kajabi to have a

(04:20):
website.
Or you don't need to go to highlevel in order to have all
these complicated leadgeneration functions, which have
them you don't even know andnot sure exactly how to use them
and what they're using it for.
So what you want to do is youwant to choose a tool based on
your goal and what you want toaccomplish now, not based on the

(04:43):
future that you can't evenimagine because you're trying to
grow up that one-on-one clientlist.
Having a course might soundamazing and really attractive so
that you can step away fromyour one-on-one coaching
clients.
But in reality, when you'restarting new, you probably want
to focus on those one-on-one sothat you can build the trust,

(05:04):
you can build it through theword of mouth, you can build it
that momentum that you feelcomfortable in serving so that
you can scale into membershipand course in the future.
Now, coming back to the lessonsthat I have learned, what I
would do differently is to workwith the platform first and
making sure that I haveoptimized my audience and my

(05:25):
platform before I launch myprogram.
This way I wouldn't have topanic midway through my launch
and trying to fix things.
Lesson number two of what Ihave learned from this recent
launch to my group program isthat there is no perfect time to
host your masterclass or yourworkshop, but some time work

(05:46):
better than others.
So I used to wonder when is thebest time to host my
masterclass during the launch, and which day of the week would
I be getting more people to showup?
And as it turns out, there isno good time or the best time.
The ideal time is actually tomy surprise, in the beginning of

(06:08):
the week, during the day, wherepeople are just trying to get
it over with, whatever it is Ihave to learn, or sit down and
spending and investing time withyou, just get it out of my
system and I have the rest ofthe week to do what I want.
And majority of my audiencealso appreciate the fact that I
can host the masterclass earlyin the week so that they have

(06:30):
the rest of the week to putthings into implementation.
So if you're wondering when isthe best day or time to host
your workshop, from myexperience, and maybe you can
try this too, is Tuesdaymorning.
And I typically like to do itbetween the hour of 9 a.m.
to 12 p.m.
Pacific time.

(06:50):
Lesson number three of what Ihave learned from my most recent
launch is that your socialmedia presence is your silent
salesperson.
Having a social media presenceis important because what I have
noticed is that over the years,I would say my social media
presence has brought me betterleads and more qualified leads

(07:10):
than compared to my paid ads.
Those who follow me on social, whether it is quietly or they're
actively engaging my posts, they tend to be my best clients.
And Facebook alone has broughtme six-figure business.
So if you're hesitating whetheror not you need to have a
social media present, yes, youshould.

(07:32):
Because there's nothingcompared to having the
mouth-to-mouth referral byleveraging what social media can
offer, which is also how youget your business to scale.
So, what I would do differentlymoving forward is to actually
streamline by focusing just oneto two platforms so that I can
scale my growth.
What I have to realize is thatwhen I am constantly having to

(07:55):
think about being on differentplatforms, I don't do as a good
job on engaging my audience.
So there you have it, the threelessons that I have learned
from this most recent launch tomy group program.
And if you're interested tohave my one-on-one support, I
can help you map out yourcoaching service and how you're
going to launch it.
There's a link in my show notesto apply to work together.

(08:18):
Or if you're interested tolearn more about my seven-step
process of how you can go from Iam certified to I have client,
you can also grab a freeresource in the description box
down below.
So, just to recap the threelessons that I have learned from
my most recent launch is lessonnumber one, pick the right

(08:39):
platform you want to use for nowand not for someday.
Because there's so manydifferent shiny tools that's out
there, and you gotta sit downand really think about what you
want to accomplish and decide onwhich tool that you're going to
use, not for someday, but whatyou need to do now.

(09:00):
Lesson number two is that thereis no perfect time to host a
masterclass.
So if you've been thinkingabout wanting to host a workshop
and you're trying to decidewhen is the best time so that I
get the most inside my audience, the reality is there is no best
time.
The best time, as I tell myclient, the best time is always
your best time.
And lesson number three is thatyour social media presence is

(09:23):
really your silent salesperson.
Now, I know a lot of myclients, they don't like to
sell.
Selling just feels wrong, itfeels manipulative.
And if you really focus oncreating that social media
presence, showing up, just beingauthentically you, you can
leverage and grow your audiencein a way that feels natural and

(09:45):
true to you.
And like I said, Facebook alonehas brought me six-figure
business.
So if you're interested to hearhow I do it, comment down
below.
Let me know if that's a topicyou would like me to talk about
on the next episode.
Until then, be amazing, and Iwill see you in the next
episode.
