make some moves.
Hello, and welcome everyone.
This is Jessie Hrivnak, ListingPartner with The Rachel Kendall
Team back with you today atMaking Moves podcast. And this
is our second part series on allthings metaphysical, if you

(00:25):
will. And our guest today isLinda Watson, who is a local
astrologer. Thank you for beinghere. Linda, we're so excited to
have you.
Thank you for havingme. I'm excited. Yeah, this is
gonna be a good one. So Linda, and I met through our previous
guests, Emily, who did a chatwith us about tarot cards. And

(00:48):
she connected me with Linda, because I was so curious about
getting my chart, read that Iwanted to invite you here to
really just give some goodinformation to our listeners
about what the heck astrologyreally is. And before I move on
to, you know, my first questionit, I remember when I started

(01:10):
getting curious about astrologyand started looking into it, I
was like, Wait a second, itdoesn't have to do just with the
month that I was born, you mean,I'm not just a Gemini. And it
really blew my mind andcontinues to blow my mind, the
more I look into it, of how deepit goes. So share a little bit

(01:30):
about what an astrology chartis, what do you what are we
looking at when we're looking atsomebody's charts?
Okay, so it's Yeah, it is reallyinteresting, because most people
really don't understand what itis. And so the astrology chart

(01:50):
is basically a snapshot of thesky. At the moment you're born,
the moment you take your firstbreath, it's like, click, you
take a snapshot of the sky. Andit's sort of a roadmap of your
soul's embodiment in thislifetime. In fact, you know, I,
I do what's known asevolutionary astrology. So

(02:12):
there's a belief inreincarnation with that. And so,
that belief is, is that ofcourse, we all have many lives.
And before we come and incarnateinto this body in this lifetime,
we actually set up our own chartfor the things that we want to
work on in this lifetime. And soit's a guide, it's actually I

(02:36):
feel like God's gift to usbefore we embody so that we have
a guide to follow up. We're notdown here. floundering it's our
guide to how to like movethrough life.
So when you say and I know thisis hard when there's a lack of
visual right, but try anddescribe when you say, snapshot
of the sky, what are the piecesof a chart that are in this guy?

(03:01):
Okay, so the chart is planetssigns, houses, aspects all that
probably means nothing topeople. People know what planets
are. Each planet has a differentfunction. This signs are
representative of law. Everybodyknows Taurus, Gemini,

(03:24):
Sagittarius, you know what yoursun sign is, right? So it
contains that. And the housesare, if you're looking at a
chart, you can't see the chart,but it's a circle. And they're
like a pie shaped segment.
It looks like a trivial pursuitpiece, but with 12 pieces
instead of six very guy six, Ialways lost a trivial pursuit.
So I never filled them up. So Idon't know how many there are.

(03:44):
So no, but that's absolutelyright. There are pie shaped
segments in the chart. Those areareas of life or like where the
all the drama happens in yourlife.
Okay? So they're broken up intolike, basically categories right
now, like you will like, Okay,so let's just, for example, the
first house would be isrepresentative of you who you
are, it's a very personal house, the second house is

(04:07):
representative of how you makeyour money in this world, unlike
what you feel is your value andwhere you find yourself worth.
The third house isrepresentative of all types of
communication, how you listen, how you perceive how you learn,
but it is also representative ofyour siblings and your early

(04:27):
childhood and how you movethrough your early childhood. So
it's just an example. Yeah, afew may go
through Yeah, no, that's it'sgood. And we can certainly
provide an example for ourlisteners and the
planets represent particularpsychological drives and urges
andbased off their energy is right
on their energy. So for example,Mars in the chart is all about

(04:53):
assertiveness and actioninitiation. So where you find
that in your chart, is where youfind where you You will be
stimulated to go out and docertain things. Okay, so simply
put, yeah, and and before we move on
to aspects, because I want totalk about those as well. So
when you're looking at thesnapshot, you are essentially
looking at, where's the sun?

(05:14):
Where's the moon? Where's thehorizon? And where are the
planets? In your chart at thetime that you take your first
breath?
Yeah. Are you asking me how youwould look at the chart? Or how?
How?
How one studying astrology wouldlook at a chart right? Like and
what itmeans. Yeah. So I mean, it's not
simplistic at all.
No. And I don't mean tooversimplify. But for those that

(05:36):
Yeah. Sowhen, okay, for example, if I
when I first get somebody'schart, and I look at it, it's an
into is when you're anastrologer, most astrologers
that I know are very intuitiveand have another sense of
something as well. And so when Ilook at a chart, I see things
right away, certain things jumpout at me, I get an intuitive
sense. And so I'm looking atwhere everything is placed in

(05:58):
this chart, certain things willjump out patterns will jump out
at me, you know, certain thingslike that. So what I'm really
doing then, and then I divedeep, and I analyze I look at
where the planets are, whathouses are they in? What signs
are they in? Are they connectingwith anything else in the chart?
What's the element in thischart? Elements are fire earth,

(06:19):
air, and water? Because we'reall made up of, of those four
elements, right? So I look atwhat's the strongest and weakest
element making up this person'spersonality?
We're complicated, y'all there.
It's a lot. And and this is whyI wanted to start with that this
question. Because, again, youknow, and it's funny, because

(06:40):
you pointed this out in mychart, right? I am a intake er,
of information. But I also loveto share information. So once I
started taking this all in, I'mtrying to explain it to
everybody, and I'm seeingpeople's eyes go cross head
spin, and I'm like, okay, I getI get it, I get it. Right. It's,
it is, I would imagine it's alifelong study almost to really
continue to understand thecharts impacts. Yeah, I

(07:06):
mean, I've made it my life'spath. So like, that's all I did
was study. And, you know, practice the art of it. And, you
know, work with otherastrologers. And, you know, just
it's that it's like going touniversity. Yeah, that that's
how you approach it, if you'rereally interested in it. And
then it's also great if you'rejust interested in it, and you

(07:28):
want to learn about it, and youread different books, there are
so many books out there to readand like workbooks, where you
can, like, do your own chartsare so many fun thing. Yeah. And
what I thought was really coolabout it is to me, it kind of
gave me this idea of, okay, here's who I am based off of my

(07:49):
chart, and you know, just yourcore, and who, here's who I've
become based off of experiencesand whatnot, and how do you peel
those apart to say, Okay, whatis ni? And what is a, a habit or
a behavior that was createdthrough experience, if that

(08:09):
makes sense?
No, it does. Because, you know, this is all this isn't? You have
an absolutely right. So this isall on freewill. There's a
certain energy in this chart.
And there's positives, ineverything, and there shadows of
everything. And it's how you usethe energies that are in there.
And at any time you havefreewill to change all that

(08:31):
stuff. And I always talk aboutgrowing into your chart to work
with it, you know, and to workwith it, but you grow into it as
well. Like, according to yourchart, you know, this is a basic
energy but you who you are at 12is not who you become when
you're 21 Sure, nor who youbecome when you're 35. And there
are certain planetary thingsthat happen at different times

(08:53):
in your life that speed up thatprocess get routed into
those. Yeah, so you know, soagain, I want to I want to keep
it high level for the firstcouple minutes. And then then
we're going to get into somespecifics. So the information
that you gather from somebody, when they want a chart reading

(09:13):
is whatI need. Date of birth, time of
birth, exact time for exact andplace of birth. I don't mean
like, you know, an address, butyou know, city and state, yeah,
and country.
So I want to get to the timebecause we were talking about
this beforehand. And you know,I've asked a couple or a couple

(09:35):
people have been like, pull mychart for me, right? And I'm
like, Okay, I need thisinformation. And they say, Oh, I
was born around four ish. AndI'm like, no, no, no, I need to
know the exact time and mypersonal experience with this is
I called my mother and I said,Mother, what time was I born?
And she did the same thing. Iyou know, it was, it was around
sunrise. You know, it was earlyin the morning between seven and

(09:58):
730. And so I put in, I think705 At first, and I was a cancer
rising. And then I put in 717,which is what the actual time
was. And then I was a Geminirising. And all of a sudden that
you know, that 15 minutes spanimpacted my chart. So call your

(10:22):
mother's or your father's, orthe hospital, where you were
born or wherever you can get theinformation.
The actual way to get theinformation is first of all,
don't ask your mom as yourbirth,
whatever it is, not make herfeel bad for forgetting, okay.
I know somebody who's, you know, she lives in like New England

(10:44):
and her mom had like 10 Kids andnever had a doctor because they
lived right underneath. And soshe, you know, the mom never
really knew from 10 Kids havehow to livery and how to let you
remember, I was you know, so my,you know, the the only real way
to get it unless you have abirth card from the hospital

(11:04):
that your mom saved, which ishow I got mine. Yeah. Or it's
never automatically on a birthcertificate. So what you do is
you sent a vital records fromyour home state and county, and,
and specifically, order a birthcertificate with time of birth
listed on the birth certificate, you absolutely have to ask for

(11:26):
it. Yeah. And then within twoweeks, you get your birth
certificate and time of birth onit. That's the only
end you call Linda and the funbegins. I was at the beach this
weekend with some girlfriendsand I saw, yeah. One of the
little girls. Her name's Finley, she's 10 years old, and she's
really interested in astrology.
So I was trying to give her likea little mini lesson that she
would understand. But I love toher mom. And it's like, what

(11:48):
time was she born? She looks atme. She's like, are you really
doing this to me right now? I'vegot four kids. And you know,
like, So you're absolutelyright. Call the hospital.
And really the significance ofthat time because people do say,
isn't that important? Yes, it'simportant, because that's the
only time you could find outwhat your rising sign is. The

(12:09):
only way that you get a specificrising sign within the rising
sign is one of the mostimportant things in your chart.
That's how you present yourselfto the world. Yeah, you know, so
yeah, it's super important.
Yeah.
So the, let's say, I don't wantto say the biggest placements,
right. But the three signs, ifyou will, are where the moon

(12:30):
was, excuse me, where the sunis, where the moon is, and where
the horizon is, at the time thatyou were born,
the three major personally i tofind your personality, and it's
not even everything, but it'scalled the primal triad, Sun
Moon rising sign, you can get apretty good idea of who somebody

(12:51):
somebody is, just by looking atthose three things. And then, of
course, then you go deeper. Butif you're, you know, if I were
just going to do you know, and Idon't do these anymore, but if I
was just going to do like alittle thing for a group of
people, I would just do that.
That's what I've done. I've doneSun Moon rising, and it's pretty
dead on but so many otherthings. Go into that, but it's

(13:14):
called the primal triad. It'syour three main things.
Okay. And that so most of usknow, the sun sign, right? And I
kind of attribute that to thecommercialization of Yeah,
astrology, because it's like, you're casting a wide net.
Yeah. And we we'd sort ofdiscussed that what, you know,

(13:34):
the commercialization of the sunsign, like, why was that? And
it's really because it's theeasiest sign to determine all
you need is your birthday. Yeah.
So with your birthday, you knowwhat sign you are. And then
personally, I think LindaGoodman was really the one
responsible for acceleratingthis growth of new age movement
in the 60s and 70s, through thesuccess of her first book, Linda

(13:57):
Goodman son signs, okay, it'sprobably before your time, but
it is still in print today. Itwas hugely popular. And it was,
you know, that's where all thejokes started. Like, you'd be
out at a bar and you'd meetsomebody and then be like,
what's your sign?
I walked up to a co workeryesterday, and I was like,

(14:18):
when's your birthday? And shetold me, I was like, I knew you
were a Gemini. Are my kind ofpeople I get you.
Yeah. So I really believe thatwas the start of the whole thing
with the sun signs. And then inthe early 2010s, you had this
mainstream thing of mediaarticles about oh, which book
you should read based on yoursun sign and all that kind of

(14:40):
stuff. So it's been like aprogression. Yeah.
So what do you had mentionedthat the rising sign really
represents who you put out tothe world?
So yeah, so just to go in order.
Yeah, let's start with the sun.
So your sun sign is who you areat your core being it is who you
truly are. It's who you striveto be and it's where you want to

(15:03):
shine your light. The Ascendantor the rising sign is that first
part of your personality thatyou allow people to meet that's
like you're putting your bestfoot forward you're going out
there and you know people meetthat part of you first. And most
of the time they think that'swho you really are right unless

(15:23):
in your case it is it's the sameand that so what Linda means is
my my son and my your double, double Gemini watch.
So it's like what you see iswhat you get Yeah, here's your
rising sign is Gemini your sunsign is Gemini said the people
who meet you for the first timeare really meeting Jessie right?

(15:45):
Who you are at your core beingYeah, it's sort of the
receptionist to who you are, youknow, people who first meet me
I'm a Gemini rising. So I comeacross as very social very
talkative, like all that kind ofstuff. But really, who I truly
am is a much more grounded loyallove, you know? stable person.

(16:06):
Not the Geminis are we're notYou're not.
We got a lot of air going on.
Yeah. And as people get to knowyou, that's when they get to
know your sun sign. And very fewpeople will ever get to meet
your moon sign only those whoare your nearest and dearest and
very closest friends.
Talk to me about the moon, Igotta tell you, like me and the
moon have a special thing goingon. Like I am just drawn to

(16:29):
Moon's energy, I just think itis. So I don't I can't explain
it other than it just feelsspecial to me. So I want to talk
about what okay represents.
So the moon, the moon is allabout emotions, nurturing early
childhood. It's where you findyour safety, insecurity, what

(16:51):
makes you feel safe and at home,it's all about karma, ancestral
line, all that kind of stuff.
You know, the moon is yourinstinctive and intuitive self.
So you know, it represents yourmost private self, it's your
soul. Yeah. And that's why I sayonly those closest to you are

(17:11):
ever really going to meet yourmoon.
I mean, the word vulnerabilityjust comes up. Right? Like, when
you're, when you're showing thatyou are in a vulnerable state, I
would imagine for them, you have to really trust
somebody to allow them to seethat part of yourself. Okay.
Yeah. And, you know, and thenyou mentioned, you know, with
the moon cycles, I have a wholething on moon cycles. And I

(17:33):
usually I think I talked to you,of course, about yours.
Let's first just because I wantto make sure that everybody
understands what a moon cycleis. Right? So let's talk about
what when you say moon cycle, what do you mean?
Okay. lunation, or moon phases, lunation phases, however you
want to say. So lunation phasesare a display of the changing

(17:57):
relationship between the sun andthe moon. It's all about Sun
Moon. So each phase of the moon,we all know the new moon, we all
know the full moon. But inbetween this new moon and the
full moon, there's six morephases that people don't really
think about. Yeah. And they eachdescribe a kind of energy
generated at each stage of thatSun Moon. Interaction. Yeah. So

(18:23):
it starts with the new moon thanthe waxing crescent. Then you
have the first quarter, then youhave the gibbous. Then you hit
the full moon, which is the, youknow, big kahuna, where
everything culminates. And thenit goes just disseminating last
quarter, and then the Samick.
And then you're back to the newmoon again, right? So there's
something different, and there'sdifferent energy that happens

(18:45):
during each of those moonphases. And, you know, the moon
is so quick moving it, you know,it moves these phases, like in
two and a half to three and ahalf day, right? So we've all
become very accustomed to thatenergy that we don't even notice
it most of the time. Yeah. Andwhat we all hear about is, oh,
there's a new moon. So let's doour New Moon Meditation and all

(19:09):
this kind of stuff. Same with afull moon, but you know, it's
good to pay attention toeverything in between to.
So I tell people, when whenthey're like, oh, you know, what
impact does it have on me? I'mlike, it controls all bodies of
water on this plate. I mean, somuch more, but I'm like, It's
controlling the ocean, you don'tthink it has any impact on your
60% body of water? And, youknow, it's

(19:31):
well, I mean, you know, peoplehave followed the moon phase
since, since there were peopleon Earth right, you know, yeah,
that's how they figured out howto do things. Yeah, you know,
and why things happen. Why doyou feel a certain way? Like,
you know, women's menstrualcycles are like, you know, based
on moon cycle, yeah. Somoon cycle journaling is

(19:52):
something that I think is reallygreat to track. You know, your
feelings what your what yourpersonality feels like. during
that time and just, you know, are you high? Are you low? Are
you new, like what's going on,and being able to find trends in
those in those cycles, right. And there's also certain
there are good times to docertain things and not so good
times to do certain thingsduring those cycles as well. In

(20:14):
fact, if you go on my website,I've created a beautiful
lunation guide that's free, ifyou want to download it. And
it's, it'll give you thedifferent cycles, what's good to
do what's not so good to do?
Like there are certain timesduring the lunation cycle, I

(20:35):
would advise people I went andsigned contracts today. Yeah,
you know, so you know, justdifferent things like that. But
it's a guide that can tell youexactly which phase represents
what. And then, you know, thingsthat are good to do during those
times. And everybody is born, ofcourse, during a specific moon

(20:57):
phase. And we talked about thatin your chart as well. And, you
know, you were born under agibbous phase. And I think that
resonated pretty much with youwhen we discussed that. Yeah,
yeah.
What does that mean? So, just togive an example, you can share
what you can, you can share.
Okay, so, good luck, good,Linda.

(21:20):
The gibbous phase is rightbefore the moon turns full. And
so you know, what this means isthat you've come here to perfect
yourself during this lifetime. Ihave this written down because I
wanted to get it right. Yeah, soyou were born here to perfect
yourself so that you're able tocontribute something of value,

(21:42):
you want to contribute tosociety in some way. You know,
and you have this tendency whereyou want to continually adjust
and refine things, to make itjust right. So there's a
subconscious awareness of theimportance to you of planning
and organizing, and just gettingthings ready. It's a feeling of

(22:04):
like, gotta get things ready.
Andthis is, this is what I love so
much about this stuff is like, yeah, not only does it resonate
with me, but it also allows meto really accept that part of
myself and not fight it. Mm hmm.
But work with it. Right? Andthat's, you know, going full
circle to the entire chart.
That's kind of how I've alwaysseen it is, again, how can I,

(22:26):
how can I work with what, whatmy chart is saying what the
current sky is saying, andthat's the job and we've, you
know, that's the, for me, the real
purpose of doing sessions andcounseling for people, you know,
and however anybody wants to doastrology is wonderful. The more
people who can get out there andbe a light worker in this way is

(22:49):
wonderful. But for mepersonally, the reason I do it
is I'm not only an evolutionaryastrologer, but a spiritual
astrologer. And it's funnybecause the universe brings me
have has been bringing me peoplewho are looking for those
things. Yeah. And so by goinginto the chart, and showing them
different characteristics, and,you know, sometimes we talk

(23:13):
about difficult things, ordifficult things that need to be
discussed in order to movethrough them and grow and, and
become who you were meant to be.
And here's the reality. Like yousaid earlier, everybody has
things in their chart that areeasy, breezy, and everybody has
things in their chart whereyou're like, why better? Why is

(23:34):
that there? Why is it doing thisto me? Why did it have to be
there? Right? And and once youstart to understand how you can
actually set of working againstit working out that it becomes
that shadow then comes into thelight?
Well, yeah, it's it's veryenlightening, especially when we
talk about things like you werevery interested in Chiron Yes,

(23:55):
and, and then and the nodes ofthe moon, because that all
speaks to past life issues, whatyou've brought from the past or
from your even early childhood, into the current and what you
need to do, to work throughthose things that are holding
you back. And that you canreally become free and live your

(24:16):
best life.
It's bringing the almost, youknow, showing you where you need
to bring your subconscious intothe conscious,
because that's why we're here. Imean, you know, that's why we're
living here at this time is towork through those old patterns.
We want to be better we want toexperience a better way and make
right what we didn't get rightin the past. Yeah,

(24:39):
yeah, that makes sense. It does.
It does it for me. It does. Itold y'all, it's a lot to take
in but it's just so we're goingto try and cover as much as we
can to get you you curious. Solet's move on to planets. Okay.
And I want to talk about Planetplacements when they are placed
where they're doing well whenthey're placed where they're not

(25:02):
so doing what or where they'rechallenged, and then planetary
aspects and what that means. So,again, when we look at the chart
at the time that we were born,we're looking at not only where
the Sun Moon and ascendant are,but where the planets are
residing, right? And Ihave your chart sitting in front
of me, so I'll probably just gofor it use yours as an example.
So, okay, sopick a planet, let's pick a

(25:26):
place pick up with okay.
To me, I think one of the mostinteresting planets is Uranus.
And the reason why really wellmy moon is in Aquarius, and
Uranus is like the roar ofAquarius. So anyway, but Uranus
is the planet that brings suddenchange into your life. It's the

(25:51):
planet of rebellion. You know,it's the planet that does not
like the status quo, he likes toshake things up. And just when
you're just getting comfortable,he moves in, you know, and you
know, where you are honest, isplaced in your chart will show
where these kinds of thingsmight take place in your life.

(26:13):
And let's go back so it doeswell in Aquarius. Is that what
you said?
Okay, he's Yeah, he's the rulerof Aquarius.
And what is the what's therelationship? Like? Why what
what is what is Aquariusrepresent? That makes your
honest. Exalted there?
Okay, so Aquarians are thethey're the inventors. And

(26:40):
they're the ones who are like, brilliant. And although they
have emotions, their emotionsare more geared towards to
madonie humanity. They want todo what's right. And for the
world for social causes, and allthat kind of thing. You know, I

(27:01):
like to think of like, you'rehonest, and Aquarius is those
people who are like Bill Gatesand those kinds, they have this
brilliant. These brilliantminds.
Visions almost. Yeah. Visionaryation. Yeah.
Yeah. So they're not afraid totake risks and chances. Okay.
Yeah. So. And anyway, so then, you know, you'd like, I like to

(27:24):
look and say, Well, where isthat in your chart? And
actually, in your chart, it's inyour six house. And so the six
house is representative of notyour career, but your job, your
daily duties, your co workers, health, fitness, pets, you know?

(27:47):
So, in looking at that, justsimplistically, I'm saying, so
she wants to change things up inher life she wants she needs to
have change in her dailyroutine. She
doesn't like the status, I don'tlike daily routine, doesn't like
thestatus quo. She likes things to
change around and be different.

(28:09):
But I also see it too, like youwould have probably an affinity
for health, wellness, takingcare of your body being
physically, you know, energetic, yeah, and all that kind of
stuff, too. But every planet hasa thing. Pluto is the planet of

(28:30):
personal transformation. And,and Pluto is the ruler of
Scorpio in the eighth house. Andso this is the planet that
forces you to go really deep, like, you know, thinking about
hades in the underground, likegoing deep beneath to the depths

(28:50):
of the ocean. And that's whereyou go to uncover those things
about yourself that are thehardest things to face, and then
having the courage to bring themup to the light and change them.
I love Pluto. So thatYeah, yours is in, in the fifth
house. So yeah.

(29:12):
And then the aspects so not onlyis it about their placement,
it's about their relationshipswith other planets and
well, aspects are actually theconnections that planets make to
each other. Correct. Right.
Okay, so thereI just said correct to the
astrologer. She explainedastrology to me.

(29:33):
They're their angularrelationships. So it's actually
how the planets like speak toeach other. Okay. Okay. So they
tell the story of you togetherto complete the whole so some
are more challenging thanothers. And I only use five
major aspects. There are a lotmore than that. But there are

(29:56):
five major that I use becausethose are the most important and
most astrologers use five orsix, sometimes seven. Okay, so
the five that I use are theconjunctions, the squares the
opposition's the trines andsextiles. Some are more
harmonious than others, some aremore challenging, right? So for
instance, in your chart in yourfourth house, I talked to you

(30:20):
about this already, you haveJupiter and Mars in a
conjunction aspect in yourfourth house.
So conjunction means that theyare in the same sign at the same
time is that wow,it has to do with orbs. Okay.
Okay. So aspects, you have tolook at the orbital numbers to
how close are they? So then youknow, what makes certain

(30:41):
aspects legit. This is so much.
Okay. Okay, stop interruptingus. So
a conjunction is when I'm goingto make it really simple for
everybody. The orbs are superclose, they're next to each
other. And I would take aconjunction anywhere from, when
they're zero degrees of right ontop of each other from zero
degrees, I give them like aneight degree or but once I get

(31:02):
to eight degrees, it's so farout there, but still, anywhere
between zero and eight is aconjunction. And so they're
blending their energies togetheris where the conjunction is it's
almost, they're blending theirtheir energies together, almost
making a new planet becausethey're working together hand in

(31:22):
hand. In your case, Jupiter andMars are blending their
energies. So simply put, Mars isrepresenting our ambition or
energy, our action our desires.
Jupiter tends to expandeverything, you know, Jupiter's,
like Santa Claus, or makeseverything better. Yeah, and
better. So in this case, yourmarch Mars energy is becoming

(31:47):
much stronger than usual becauseof Jupiter, right? And it allows
you to have much more energy, much more drive much more
ambition. X, actually, matewould make for a very good
leadership, you would be areally good leader. And at
whatever you're doing, so justan example of an aspect. Yeah.

(32:07):
And then there are others thatare more challenging. Anytime
you have a square aspect betweentwo planets, that's a more
challenging aspect. You got towork hard at something. Yeah, so
okay. So when we're looking atthe current sky, okay, what it

(32:29):
is right now, today, what'sgoing on? In astrology? How do
we correlate that to our chart?
What does that mean to like, dowe look at what the sky is doing
right now, and it's going toimpact me differently than it's
going to impact you.
So, yeah, planets are alwaysmoving, call it transiting. And

(32:52):
actually, when I do a chart, Ilook at the transits in real
time. So where are those planetsin your chart right now? Right.
So it affects everybody but in adifferent way. Okay. I don't
know if that is yeah, no.
Definitely answers.
Yeah. In they effects everybodyon a global level. So if you if

(33:14):
you look at the like, a lot, thelast election. I mean, that was
huge.
What the hell was going on inthat sky that day? Oh, my gosh,
oh, my God. I mean, it was sointeresting. I, you know, really
one of my, you know, Grooversthat I love. I take continuing
education with Kelly Surtees alot. She's amazing. But she had

(33:34):
a whole thing at election time.
And she predicted from the chartthat what happened to chaos?
Yeah, yeah, she she actually, you know, cuz she does horary
astrology too. And that's whenyou look at the world. Yeah.
Well, and I love that when yousay, and correct me if I'm

(33:56):
wrong, but this is how I'mhearing it when you say predict,
right? It's not. I don't hear itas this like, psychic. No, no.
Right? At all. It's math andscience and study years and
hundreds of years of study interms of how these placements
are behaving. And that's again,to me, what takes away the

(34:20):
woowoo if you will, right, likeit's yes. It's, it's science.
Well, what is you know, and youknow, you'd asked at one point,
like, what do I want people toknow about astrology and it has
been around as long as therehave been people on Earth,
right? And you know, earliestastrological concepts go back to

(34:42):
ancient China, Egypt, Babyloniayou know, the 12 signs that we
use most commonly in Westernastrology today. Actually, it
was established in Greece in theAbout 2500 years ago. So there's
something to this, you know,it's a combination of Yeah,
science and all that, you knowdifferent things. Astronomy.

(35:06):
Yeah. Yeah. Everybody has heardthis. I'm throwing this one at
you randomly. Oh my gosh,Mercury's in retrograde. Oh,
maybe so crazy for the nextmonth, everything's gonna be
nasty. Like, what does thatmean? Yeah,
I mean, it's a real thing. So,most plant all the planets do go

(35:28):
retrograde. But the mostimportant one trends are
changing direction. And yeah, well, they don't really change
direction, it appears thatthey're changing direction. So
what happens is, well, we'lljust go with mercury, because
that's when everybody knows.
Have you read any of my articlesI've also written about I write
for a magazine, and I've alsowritten about Saturn retrograde,
you know, Jupiter retrograde, all that stuff. So, but with

(35:49):
Mercury Retrograde becauseeverybody's like,
Oh, great. Well, it happens mostoften. Right? Because it's,
well, it's the shortest, theyall go retrograde during the
year. Okay. But this one lastMercury lasts for three and a
half weeks usually. And it'sjust you know, because it
because Mercury Retrogradeaffects everything involving

(36:11):
communication and technology andtravel, every all anything that
involves communication of anytype, and it's coming up, and
it's coming up comingup really well, by the time this
airs, it'll will probably stillbe in Mercury's retrograde
anyway, I'm sorry. So tell meabout what it does.
So anyway, it doesn't actuallymove backwards. Okay, so what
happens, the planets moving, butthen it sort of stops and

(36:36):
changes like speed. And so thatit appears from our vantage
point on Earth, that it's movingbackwards. And the way that I
describe it to people is like,if you're on a moving train, Mm
hmm. And you pass a car that'sgoing a different speed than the
train. Yeah, looks like the caris going backwards.

(36:57):
We've all had that moment wherewe're like, what the heck? Yeah,
yeah.
Like what I mean, the reallycrazy thing is it happened to me
in a parking lot. One time, Iwas sitting in my car, and then
another car pulled up beside me,but just the way I was pulling.
And I'm moving. Yeah, so I haveall experienced
that, right. It's a great way ofexplaining it. So

(37:18):
that's retrograding. And so whenMercury or any planet is
retrograde, it's really a goodtime, it's not a scary time,
just be a little bit moreconscious of things that you're
doing. But it's a time when theplanets want you to slow down.
And I always say it's about theRi, R E, re anything, reflect,

(37:40):
reevaluate and like, you know, that kind of it wants you to
slow down, take things slower, you know, reflect on different
things. Think about how you cando things differently so that
when it stations Direct again, you will have, you know, gotten
clarity, reset. Yeah, yeah, it'sa reset. Thank you. Very good. I

(38:03):
love that. Yeah. Soand then what about returns? So
the ones that I've heard themost about are Saturn Return and
Neptune return? Okay. Let's talka little bit about what that
means. And you know, timeframesand so forth. So,
yeah, there's, you brought upSaturn Return. So Saturn Return

(38:27):
happens every 30 years, whichmeans Saturn is back. Okay.
Right. So Saturn's moving, moving, moving. Yeah. And
eventually, it returns to theexact same coordinates as the
day you were born. Okay, so it'sall about numbers and, you know,
orbital stuff. So Saturn returnsto the exact same position. And

(38:48):
if you look on a transit chart, you'll see those lining up
perfectly in the same orbitalnumbers. And, and, and when
Saturn does the return, youknow, first one is around age 29
or 30. And you probably startfeeling it around 28. But it's
when like major life a majorlife change will happen. So

(39:10):
around that time, a lot ofpeople are getting married,
having children going back tograd school, yeah, like it's
major stuff that changes theirlife and then 30 years later,
around 58 to 60. You get yourSaturn Return again, and it's a
different time of your life. Andthey're different issues that

(39:32):
are coming up. I don't knowmaybe people are thinking about
retiring or they're going to dosomething different or they're
going to leave the home they'velived in become grandparents
Yeah. Or they you know sell thehome they've lived in all their
life and move tocall us call Rachel Kendall team
if you sell your house duringyour Saturn Return for the plug
LindaYeah, so that's, you know what a

(39:55):
Saturn Return or spot the nextJune. I don't really call it a
Neptune return. But the Neptuneis like a midlife transit that I
talked to people about and themost important one is the
Neptune square Neptune. Socoordinates line up in a certain
way when they're in a squareaspect to each other. And it
usually happens around the ageof 40 to 43. And they call it a

(40:19):
midlife crisis, crisis.
Crisis, because it's usuallywhen we start to question
everything. We might, it mightbe like a fog that we feel like
we're in and we're confused.
And, you know, it's definitelynot a time where you want to do
anything crazy, like, oh, I, Idon't know what's going on. I

(40:43):
have a sports car. Well, youknow, that or, you know, I
always say to, like, I'm nothappy with in my marriage
anymore. I'm going to get adivorce. And like, you know, you
get through your Neptune square.
And it's like, Why did I dothat? I didn't want to do that.
Or, you know, whatever it is,but it's usually a crisis, where
you're questioning your life.
And it's usually has to do withinner work, spirituality, you

(41:06):
know, things like that. So,yeah,
so fascinating. It is. And we'realmost wrapping up in time. But
I want to, I should have startedwith this. How did you get into
astrology? Like, what? Whatbrought you to be curious about
what was going on up there?

(41:27):
Um, I probably have beeninterested in that kind of
thing. Most of my life I was,you know, I always tell people
I, I came from a family thatwas, you know, religion was, you
know, like Catholicism. Yeah. Inever really saw much stock in

(41:48):
that noise. had all these crazyquestions, I'd be asking my
mother, or in my dad, that'd be,you know, like, what happens
after you die. And as a youngkid, they were like, looking at
me like I was. Right. And mymother would say to me, If God
wanted you to know that youwould, so when you die, all the

(42:09):
questions that you have on theuniverse will be answer.
And I've gone I'm gonna go findthat out.
It's so frustrating. Yeah, butwait a minute, if I'm dead, then
I consciously won't be able toHey, the terms, if any of that.
But you know, so I mean, I'vealways sort of been interested

(42:29):
in alternative ways of thinkingand astrology and all that kind
of stuff. And and then I didn'treally start seriously doing
this until probably about 10years ago. And it happened
really quite organically, likeI, I was interested in it and
write about it, probably all mylife. But then I really laser

(42:51):
focused. And about 10 yearsreally started to dive into it.
And it was, that was my job.
Okay. Like I studied, it waslike, I was like, in university,
again, I studied with differentastrologers. You know, I had a
couple of different mentorshipswith well renowned and regarded
astrologers, and that kind ofthing. And I just had this
knowing that this was what I wassupposed to be doing, because I

(43:16):
have a strong thing in my chartwhere I want to be of service to
people.
And I love that. Yeah, so So forsomebody who is getting ready to
call you and book a reading.
What do you want them to dothink, prepare for? Like, how do
you want them to arrive, meetingwith you.

(43:42):
Just come as yourself. And thereare a couple of different, you
know, you can go on my websitehave different charts. The birth
chart is always where I like tostart. Because you have to know
yourself, you have to have likea basic understanding of your
birth chart. And then every yearI'm looking at this, but I have
solar return charts, but itgives you a heads up on what

(44:06):
your year is going to be so likeon your birthday. So from May of
this year, until May of 2022,you're going to have a certain
energy and that year can be agood year, right? Well, I
haven't looked. But give me acall.
What year are we in2021. But it gives everybody
it'll give you a heads up onsome of the opportunities that

(44:30):
will come and some of thechallenges to face and I love
it's my favorite chart becauseit prepares you. Yeah, you're
surprised. Anybody that wants tohave their charts read. The only
thing I say is come with an openmind have all your basic
information. I do like to ask ifthere's anything in particular

(44:50):
that they want to know aboutthat they want me to cover, for
instance, you know, do you wantme or You know, most people want
to know about love life, career, you know, stuff like that
they're coming with a specificYeah. Like, if there's something
in particular, you want me totouch on life's purpose, I'll do
that. But I'll always do thebasic chart reading, and then I

(45:16):
can, if there's something inparticular, I will touch on
that.
Yeah. Well, what I loved aboutthe reading that we did was, you
know, I remember saying to youdon't, please don't hold back,
like, say at all, don't worryabout, you know, you know,
offending me saying somethingthat I might take the wrong way.
Because, you know, to me, Iwanted to take what I needed,

(45:39):
and I can always leave the rest, right. But to extend trust in,
you know, I'm hiring you to, tolook at this for me, to tell me
what you see. Right, and to nothold back. So I do think it's
important to come in with amindset of tell me it all right.
And if if it doesn't resonatewith me, that's okay. Right.
Maybe it will later and I can,you know, ruminate on it at a

(46:02):
different time. Exactly.
Talk about so many things, asyou know, and so, you know, I
just want you to absorb, be inthe moment. And I like a
conversational reading, that I'mnot the type of person that I
go, you know, this, this, this, this, I want you to interact
with me and ask me questions.
Yeah, I think that's definitelyimportant. And it it was so

(46:25):
enlightening. It was it's so itjust is a great snapshot of
validating things about yourselfabout, you know, sometimes we we
always hear, you know, trustyour intuition, trust your
intuition. But a lot of timeswe're taught or in environments
to ignore our intuition, right.
And when you say something onthe chart, where you're like, I

(46:47):
knew it, I should have listenedto it. I knew this. But like, it
just it builds this, this trustalmost within yourself, like
saying, Okay, I gotta payattention to this. Yeah, I gotta
dig into this deeper.
I mean, I always tell people, you know, your intuition is, is
your friend. It is this. It isyou it's your inner voice, and

(47:09):
it knows what's best for you.
Yeah. And you have to honorthat. Because if you think back,
anytime you thought something, and didn't move on it, you were
like, Oh, wow, I should havelistened to my gut. And you
know, yes. Important.
And, but and also, I'm a Gemini, and I think about everything,

(47:30):
and I do everything and it movesreally fast. You know, but I
hear you I'm joking in that ityou know, it's, but that's what
you need to work on. So I needto work on, right? Yeah, Linda
told me I need to listen more.
You do? I know. Everybody's you?
I do. Yeah. All right. You'reright. She Oh, she is right.
She's right, you guys. So we aregoing to provide all of you guys

reading, get curious yourself.
It's just, it's fascinating. Andit has really made a massive
impact on my life and my ownjourney in terms of just, you

(48:15):
know, self discovery andbecoming more and more of who I
am. So thank you so much foreverything that you
know. And thank you so much. Iand you know, when you were
saying that I just, you know theworld that we live in right now,
the more you can, you know, knowyourself and know how to, like

(48:35):
manage walking through all thechaos that's going on right now.
Yeah, the easier it'll be foryou. And the better.
Yeah, and the easier for you tomanage relationships and manage
friendships and manage coworkersand manage hard situations. You
know, it just brings a spotlightto all the all the things. Thank
you so much for being here.
Thank you for inviting me. Iabsolutely love her and we look
