champions of Making the Merge and the winners of this
season forty eight. Jody knew, well, Cup, it's time for
a speech.

This is Joha, right. I knew we had this in
the bag. I felt so secure in the finale. Let
me just tell you the further we got into the finale,

checked out mentally. I was so stressed.

Yeah, I was so not stressed about this because I
was like, I feel like, either way, I've got two
people going in there, the odds are looking good. And uh,
you know, Tribal did get me really on edge though,
those those really did and we'll talk about those. But gentlemen,
I'm glad to be joining the Rankings brand. I'm sorry
that it wasn't you in your first season, but you
know you're still wet behind the ears.

Oh, I gotta be honest. I was with you until
you used that phrase. I don't like that phrase. What

Can I ask a question since Kristen isn't here, maybe
you can answer. So you, for the first time ever,
you and Kristin were on the same team. So you
guys worked together on your draft, and you guys drafted Joe,
then Kyle, then Cheeredy, then Cedric. Who if you if
you even remember who one is? Like, who was like
we should draft Joe first? Who made that decision? You were,

Speaker 5 (02:59):
Only Okay, So we really did make our draft decisions,
like we sat and we talked them.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Out about it. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
Yeah, when you're room, I would have talked with my
reverend about it. I was just like, hey, this a
good decision, you know, But it was, you know, we
really did sit down and talk like are these the
best options? And it really wasn't difficult to line up
kind of our rankings. What's funny is I think PD
knew this. Camilla was like our number one at first

and Joe was our number two pick. The only rogue
one that we went with was when I picked Charity
just out of the blue. But like, as far as
picking Joe and Kyle, we were like all the same page.

Speaker 6 (03:45):
Okay, So that's a congratulations. Jonathan gets his first when
Kristen gets her second, tying her with PD for most
draft wins.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
It's true, it's upsetting.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Do you want to know what stings about this? What's

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Like if she just accepted my offer, this is a

because we all know that it was Kristen.

I, first of all, was laughing hysterically at the fact
that as soon as the worm happened, everyone in the

to hear our thoughts on the finale. I'm not trying
to be sketchy, but I'm always looking for an idol.
It's extremely stressful because I don't want to be caught,
and I've been looking high and low everywhere. It's super hard.
Why do they make it look like it's so easy.

Everyone's searching for an idol, but I don't want anyone
to find.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
An idol before me. Calm yourself, down.

And think I'm gonna find that guy. I'm gonna find
that idol. No one wants to be the first person
to walk away from Survivor. But this is a game,
this is a serious business. Someone someone has to go.
I think Jelenski and Jess are the targets, but this
is Survivor.

You know, it's so weird about hearing these so I'm like,

I thought it was very funny that kind of subtly
throughout the entire finale, he kept making like little comments
like this has been one of my favorite seasons.

It was like he was trying to convince us that
we were.

He said it in the press too. Jeff loves this, he.

Said it, and on Fire pre Merges he said this
is one of his favorite seasons of all time.

I think the cast was super memorable, and everybody in
the cast, you know you you kind of like even
people sitting Like at the end, I was like, I
like all three of these people.

Did you like the shot the single shot of Jeff? Yeah,
this this we really got to see the domes.

I like everything about it.

Aside from what he said was really aggressive and unnecessary.

I felt like it was like nothing I read the
second part of that PD, though, I do want to
hear it one more time because it felt like thing.

the glory of us winning, So I just figured I
would say we are basking in it. Kristen's basking in
it in the other room though, So well.

At some point she's gonna try try.

Yeah, all right, Well let's let's start with Joe talking
to stone Cold.

There somewhere, and Joe says to stone Cold, did we
both get duped by somebody that was working us?

And then we cut to Camilla and Kyle, where Camilla says,
oh my god, how the hell did that work out?
I can't believe he didn't go fact check with Shaheen
because that's what he should have done, And then in
a confessional she says, I didn't realize how good I
am at lying because this is my first time lying
to people straight to their face to get them to
believe me, and every time it works. Joe believed my lies.
Eva believed my lies, and a tribal council Shaheen didn't
feel scared at all. So I think I deserve an emmy.

Speaker 6 (10:36):
Yeah, I agree, for your consideration, you can vote for Camilla.

Speaker 5 (10:44):
I do think that she was again the person that
actually made that plan work because I her lying Kyle's
was not convincing enough. That's why immediately Joe went to
her because he didn't believe him, and she was the
final one to commit. But maybe it's because of the
fact that she hadn't lied the whole game, so why

would why would she be lying?

What if the four year Consideration commercial was just all
Camella oh Man, Yeah, all of her lines, Oliver talking

Yeah, for your consideration. It's day twenty four, yeap. The
sun is coming up, and Joe is proud. He's proud
for dads, he's proud, for older dudes. He's proud. And
then everyone walks up and sees their name on a
podium and everybody has their own puzzle lock and advantage
is up for grabs for the person who can unlock
the key using the clues around camp, which is once

again animals. But what was different about the animals this time?

Speaker 4 (11:44):
Brand the dots.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Yeah, yeah, they're not colorful animals. They're animals with dot dots.

It's like zebras but with dotrice.

Yeah, you could have also said like a leopard or
something too, or a dalmatian yeah, does Fiji have zebras

All right? Everybody sprints off and Camilla thinks she understands it,
and Mitch says things are gonna get messy and hearts
are gonna get broken, so he needs this, and spoiler alert,
Mitch doesn't get it. But Kyle thinks he has it
with the word rescue, and he was wrong, and unfortunately
for him, Stone Cold Eva ericson, dude, don't go Eva Ericsson.

(12:37):
She grew up playing scrabble with her mom and she
came up with secure and thought that's definitely a survivor word.
And it was a survivor word. And Eva has another
advantage because Autism three sixteen says, I just solved a
puzzle on your ass. How did y'all feel when this happened?

Speaker 5 (12:57):
I was impressed.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
I was laughing so hard.

Speaker 6 (13:01):
Yeah, there's not a single advantage this whole season that
Eva has not won.

Speaker 5 (13:05):
But literally, as soon as she won it, I out
loud said you gotta be kidding me, because I was
both equally upset that one of my people didn't win it,
but I was also like, you can't hate her for it.
She's just killing it with.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
At this point, it's not luck. You can't do it
every time for luck.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
It's like, I don't know if I didn't enjoy this
particular challenge because I thought it was dumb at this
point in the game, or because I knew for a
fact Eva was gonna win.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
But I've seen the shot, I've seen the race.

Speaker 6 (13:39):
They should have got that girl from last season that
loves doing Easter egg hunts.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
So now it's everybody's favorite part, and it is my
favorite part of the episode this time. I really mean that.
It's challenge time with Chase.

Speaker 6 (13:50):
Everybody's favorite part of the episode. It's the first challenge
of the episode. Challenge number one.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
Guys.

Speaker 6 (13:58):
For this challenge, We're racing up and over a steep ramp.
We're crawling through a tangled up muddy net. We're throwing
a ball through a target.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Get it. We're maneuvering that ball through a long cage.
Once the ball is free, you toss it in a basket.
It gives you three numbers. You use the three numbers
to retrieve a key.

Speaker 6 (14:13):
Then you raise up another steep ramp and you solve
a survivor fire puzzle.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Who shot out to roam.

Speaker 6 (14:20):
The winner gets immunity obviously, which means that they cannot
be voted out this season because worst case they lose
fire making and go home.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
That way.

Speaker 6 (14:29):
They also will get to go to the Sanctuary with
one other person for what happens there, the sanctuary where
good things happen.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
Thank you respect on it.

Speaker 6 (14:38):
The story of this challenge, it's all about Camilla. No
one even matters in this challenge other than Camilla. We
see Camilla gets stuck in the net. She twists the
wrong way and gets even more stuck. Everyone else is
almost to the puzzle and Camilla is barely able to
get out of the net. It looks extremely claustrophobic and
scary by the way. It looked like kind of getting

(15:00):
waterboarded in there.

Speaker 5 (15:01):
I hate watching that every time that they do the
net in mud, I feel like I can barely watch it.
And I'm not even a claustrophobic type person.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
You're just afraid of the ocean.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
Well, yeah, you know, and it's just cleaning up the water.
You know.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
You have the opposite of claustrophobia. You don't like wide
open space.

Speaker 5 (15:18):
Yes, I'm like, could someone just like put me in
the smallest possible place.

Was like, please put me in a box.

Speaker 6 (15:26):
Jonathan's in the shallow end of the ocean. He's like, god,
it what I wouldn't give to be in an elevator.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
Like I need someone to put baby in a corner.
That's what I keep telling them.

Speaker 4 (15:35):
I love what.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Camilla was like, what am I doing wrong? And Jeff
was like, you have to turn your body in twist.

Speaker 4 (15:41):
He's like, twist, twist. She does manage to get out
of the net. Everyone else moves.

Speaker 6 (15:47):
Uh, they're on the puzzle and they have a huge
head start on her, got there.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
Before everybody else. I think that's important was winning. That's
how far back Camilla.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
At this point in the episode. I was like, oh,
this is my funeral, Like, yeah, my game dies here.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
Well, as soon as I saw Joe starting to solve
the puzzle, I was like, this is my funeral.

Speaker 4 (16:06):
You know. That's how dude. He sucks at puzzles.

Speaker 6 (16:08):
But basically, everyone is on the puzzle. They have a
huge headstart on her. She's still trying to get the
ball into the cage. Finally she granny shots it in.
Funnily enough, Mitch is actually in the lead for most
of this challenge.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
I know, I was shocked.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
It was his time to make a move.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
Eva, who had an advantage.

Speaker 6 (16:28):
As we just talked about, Mitch was still leading the
pack even though she had a bay.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
That's how good he was doing. I was watching that.
I was like, Mitch's gonna win the game. Baby.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
I just want to point out, and I want to
put it on the record. If I am ever in
this situation where I get an advantage in the advantages
that I can dunk the ball, you better believe I'm
doing some dunk contest.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
I'm going between the legs getting style ones.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
I know it's not important, but I just want it
on the record in case it ever happens.

Speaker 6 (16:54):
We can pull this back, write that downe s one
right there, right, I got it, I got it. Everyone's
working on the puzzle. Now Camilla finally shows up after
everyone else has a huge lead.

Speaker 4 (17:03):
But what's that? What?

Speaker 6 (17:04):
Camilla starts flying through the puzzle. Next thing you know,
she's in the lead and it's not even close. Mitch
practically gives up. Eva is fighting hard. Joe, he's he's trying,
but he's in last place on the puzzle, and boom,
Camilla wins the challenge.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Right, dude. I jumped up off the couch. My dad
laughed at me because I jumped up and I screamed touchdown.
And I wasn't watching football, but that's what I felt
like streaming.

Speaker 5 (17:32):
So I do want to know what your dad thought
of it when she won.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
He's cheering too, because he was supposed to see his
boy knew. I was all in on Camilla for this episode.
I mean, I love Stone Cold, Eva Austin, but for
the beginning of this episode, I wasn't even for the
beginning of this episode, I was dead set on Camilla winning.

(17:56):
And then this happened and I was like, it's this
is everything I wanted. It's gonna this is how this
is like the exact thing I needed in order to
be able to win.

Speaker 5 (18:06):
And in that moment, I'm seeing Camilla win and Kristin
and I are looking at each other thinking we had
her number one as our pick because there was definitely
I'm sitting there thinking like, she's gonna win the game
if she makes it to the finale.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
And when they didn't have a single piece of the
puzzle and then she was making her way up the ladder,
I was like, oh, it's it's still even the challenge
basically just started.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
Joe was nowhere to be found in this. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
Once it got to the puzzle, he couldn't do anything.
And that's okay, challenges.

Speaker 5 (18:36):
This was his mud net, you know.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Yea, And listen, any challenge it doesn't involve some sort
of puzzle he can crush.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Yeah, you can't do puzzles.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Yeah, that's okay.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
I don't know if I would do good at either.
I'm a little wet behind the years.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
I'm the only.

Speaker 6 (18:51):
Boy here anyway. So Camilla wins, Jeff puts the necklace
on her. We hear once again about her family that
didn't believe in her watch.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
She's getting brought up.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
They shouldn't have said all that's true.

Speaker 5 (19:05):
Well, I'm gonna say. When she was talking about her family, though,
she mentioned something I hadn't even noticed, which was she
never had her name written down.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
That's true.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Yeah never.

Speaker 5 (19:15):
She said it very in like a passing statement, like
not only have I never had my name written down,
but I will never have my name written down.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
But then she except for when people vote for me
at the end, and I was like, yeah, that's right.

Speaker 5 (19:27):
That's exactly what a crazy thing for her to be
able to say is like name never written.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Down, that is sick, that is awesome.

Speaker 6 (19:36):
It's time for her to go to the sanctuary, but
she has to pick one person to go with her
to the place where good things happen. And she says,
you know what, I'm going to choose someone who's very hungry.
And she knows that she really needs this, and she
she knows I'm talking about.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
Her Eva once again, because chosen for the war.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
Yeah, I walked in and said, someone throw me a beer,
and I need one rewards?

Speaker 4 (20:04):
What I need two rewards? I need three rewards.

Speaker 6 (20:08):
What I need a sanctuary and our sweet tea.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
I love this finale partially because of the uncertainty, but
then the other part of why I loved it was
because of these two hilarious EVA moments. One where she
wins the advantage and everybody's like not again, and then
two when she gets picked for the reward and everybody's
like not again.

Speaker 5 (20:29):
Dude, I had the same reaction to her getting the
advantage and getting to the sanctuary both times. I just
kind of shook my head and smiled. It was not
even like disappointment. It wasn't upset. I was just like,
there she goes, she's made it again.

Speaker 4 (20:45):
Listen, this is she's hungry.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (20:47):
Hey, and you know what, at the end of the day,
we can laugh about it. I think it was a
strategic move from Coodela. I think it was a good one.
I think she wanted to be in Eva's good graces
in case Eva won the next one. Yeah, and she
would try to convince her like, hey, don't make don't
send me.

Speaker 4 (20:59):
To I took you on the reward. There you go.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
So we're about to talk about where good things happen.
But we get back to the beach and Mitch starts
roasting Kyle and not being able to get up the
wall and breaking the face. It kind of felt like
it came out of nowhere, but Mitch just getting his
shots in.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Yeah, and Kyle said, I'm voting for you and he
did well.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
He said it as a joke that time.

Speaker 5 (21:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (21:26):
Uh.

It was funny to me to hear them roasting each other.
And then I was like, these roasts are kind of
just them saying what's happening. They're like, you have mud
on your face. There's a lot of mud on your face.
Am I right, guys. And then they went and got
in the water and Joe said it was like a
kiddie pool.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Mitch told him, you you have mud like last time
that you had.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
Yes, and you're a little wet behind the ears.

But then, like Jonathan said, they did go get wet
in the kiddie pool. They washed the mud off of them.
And I feel like the TikTok Stan editors are with
that Joe in his underwear washing the mud off of
a footage.

Hey, we're the good old days where the men could
get naked, the good old days.

chance to get Joe. It's easy because Mitch, I don't

would be split, and Eva and Joe are the exact opposite.

They like ride or die for each other. They're not
going to send each other to fire.

This is the only bad move Camilla made all seasons.
Do you think this is the reason she didn't win
but Kyle won.

Here's the thing, because she's the one that brought it
up to Kyle.

would have happened if Kyle won and Camilla hadn't have
done that, I think Camilla might like he would have
felt guilty.

I think connection to Joe that he would have felt
so guilty about because he loves Joe.

completely think that if that conversation hadn't happened, he would

At the very least, It's fair to say that just
because Kyle is thinking about something doesn't mean he's actually.

We have Eva who goes off by herself, which was
surprising to me at first. I kind of anticipated that
Joe would be with her the entire time. But Joe
was just laying down and she's Eva's over there and
she's trying to make her fire and she's struggling, and

you can see her getting frustrated and then more frustrated
and even more frustrated until she begins to cry and
not just tears like at the end of the challenge
where she's over there and she's just like got tears
coming down. He ride these were this was loud crying,
so loud and so loud.

That like she's like, what am I doing wrong? So loud.

In fact, that Joe and Kyle, who are back at
camp chilling out, and I don't know how far away
she was us, but you they hear her and Joe's like,

tell her how she can do it. And Joe's like, okay,

a hug, does the squeezing exercise that they talked about
earlier in the season, and that calmed her down and

time I think in the history that a firefighter has

But slowly, over time she begins to try to some
different things and she's finally able to make some fire.

you guys were feeling the same way, I was very
confident in Camilla's ability to be cool under pressure. Yeah,
I wasn't sure how Eva was going to handle the

spotlight truly being on her, knowing what happened earlier in
the day and how she kind of had an episode, yeah,
when she wasn't able.

To actually with the development of her practicing with coconut
husks and coconut rights. Yeah, and not to not to
jump too far ahead, but it's you know, in fire making,
it is just a basket of twigs and branches and.

putting himself.
