Speaker 1 (00:01):
Time machine, time machine, time machine, by the time machine.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
That time machine, time machine, get on to the Survive.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Survive. All right, we're doing this or do you just
want to? Like yeah, say you'll want and then we're
done with it.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Spoilers, I mean, speaking of spoilers, let's get ahead of this.
Brand has not seen the winner of Survivoral Australia yet,
so make sure that i'm finishing you avoid that. Yeah,
do you not know this about me?

Speaker 3 (00:53):
By now?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
I am so bad at the internet, Pete, you guys.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
All the time. I'm the old man of the group.
I don't know how to machine you know, Hey, I
can crushing the deck the Hallmark socials lately, man, really
great graphics and clips. Thanks man. Thanks?

Speaker 3 (01:12):
So do you not compulsively check things, because that's where
I end up getting information like that spoiled for me?

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Like what what do you mean?

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Like just like, get on Instagram out of habit if
if you're not doing.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Oh I get on I get on Instagram out of
habit and I see my friends and my family.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Weird.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
I don't have friends or family? Sure? Sure?

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah, no, I I okay, I will say I do
have Survivor in my algorithm, like, I don't know how
I haven't seen it.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
I'll be honest with you. Maybe maybe the Survivor gods
have just blessed you with no spoilers.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah, maybe, because I, like, I follow all things Survivor,
I follow a couple of other smaller Survivor pages, and
I just I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
I don't know. I don't know, I don't I don't know.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
PD speaking of.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Things you don't know, let's just let's just start off
with this, because what I do know won? And dude,
he called it week one. You called it week one.
We asked you brand, who do you think is gonna
win the season? And you said Yule? And I think
that opens up a bigger conversation. But first, how did
you know it was Yule?

Speaker 2 (02:18):
I I'll say this, there may have been not any
information that has entered my brain about Yule.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
I think it was more.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Information that I have taken in about Ozzie. Okay, And
I think had I not I didn't know for sure
that Ozzie didn't win the season, but I kind of
felt like I knew it in a sense somehow, you.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Know, context clues. Yeah, And so I think.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Had I not known that I may have been a
little bit more inclined to say Ozzie could win it all.
But when I at the time when I picked it,
I don't know if you remember this, I hated Ozzie
and I just felt like one mule a really good
strategic player. And you could kind of see that early on.
He was a really good brain about about him. Had

(03:15):
the idol or the yeah, the immunity idol. Granted he
didn't have to use it, but would have. And three
and I think this is most important. He just is likable, right,
he is very but also he's not.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Flashy. Right, He's not like this, like you don't think
much about him. So he's able to simultaneously run the
game while being under the radar, which is a really
impressive thing to do. And by the time people figured
out he was running the game, it was too late.
I think, I think you nailed it. I think that's
what makes him one of the best winners of all time.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
All right, guys, we recapt it, all.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Right, let's send it home.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Man.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
I was, and I'll say it, I guess when we
get to final tribal, but I was. There was a
part of me that was like, oh, Ozzie might do it,
and I might just have. I might not, I might
not be right.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Okay, so the final tribal did kind of sway you
of like, maybe this is Ozzie's game. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
I'll save my thoughts on my final yeah Ozzy for
the end of the episode, because it's been well documented
my journey with Ozzy.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
But I'm now that you know that he's going to
go to college and try to change the world.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Change the world. How are you going to change the world.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Well, I'm going to go to college and then I'm
gonna change the world.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
I'll figure did not go to college. He did not
go to college from what I was saying.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
To immediately, No, if I remember correctly, I believe he
immediately took that money, invested it in a nightclub, and
then I think it like went out of business to.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Make the world a better play dude.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
We like to party a you like to party? Amen?
All right, guys, Episode fourteen, let's just jump right in.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Let's get into it. It was titled I Have the
Advantage for Once. I feel like the titles of the
season they were a little clunky, especially the last one
countdown and the it.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Was like this episode will self destruct and five four
three two or something like that.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
It was weird. It was weird.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
And usually they say it right, they say that the
title of the episode comes from And I saw that
title and was like, all right, mental note for this.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
And I don't care anybody said it.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
I don't think so either. I was waiting for it. Yeah,
and so who is that even referring to?

Speaker 1 (05:51):
I don't remember. I'm sure Chase will tell us during
the Yeah, Chase, there's some fun facts with Chase later.
All right, okay, okay.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Uh so Poverty and Adam were talking about how they
need to win and uh yeah, that was pretty obvious,
but they had to set it up. And then that
takes us to the challenge.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Yeah, guys, let's just jump right into the challenge with
something that I'm pretty sure we all noticed, right, which
is they had to blur Azsie's uh mid section. We'll
say this happens to Ozzie a lot in these episodes.
He's very naked in these episodes. There's a lot of nakedness.
And we'll get into it because you know, I have thoughts, yep. Uh, guys.

(06:27):
First up, we get a reward challenge. This is one
of the most memorable challenges from my first watch through
of Survivor. You cover yourself with mud and then you
put the mud in a bucket. And the person Jeff,
I think, started with the challenge.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
He was just watching I saw Ozzy and he's like,
I want to cover that guy in mud and carve and.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
But uh, the person with the most mud after ten
minutes wins the reward. Ozzy wins, of course, par of
second place. Yule is in third.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
They get to go on a spa reward forty five
pounds of mud man.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Yeah, that was actually insane.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
What do you guys think about the challenge as a whole, Like,
obviously it's memorable, but is it good.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
I mean for a reward challenge? Yeah, I mean it's
not an obstacle course.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
It's not an obstacle course, but it's also one not fair.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
It's not a fair challenge. Why, well elaborate? Why not? Well? Okay, one, I.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Everybody's bodies are different, right, yeah, yeah, And I think
like obstacle courses and like a lot of the challenges
that we have now, like there is some of that
where it's obviously harder for a bigger person to slide
under a netch than it is a smaller person, right, Yeah,
but there's always something to kind of even level it

(08:02):
out a little bit with a lot of challenges. Even
at this point in Survivor, it felt like by and
large the challenges were fair this one. I think that
it's just I think Ozzie's body type and hair and
type of shorts that he's wearing is conducive to him

(08:22):
being able to pick up a lot more mud than
say Becky hmm, thought that this is a dumb, unfair challenge.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
I didn't think it was unfair. I didn't think I
don't know how Ozzie is like uniquely capable of getting
like mud off of his body and into a bucket
compared to the other people. I maybe there's something to
do with his body type. What was he used like
a part bird, part monkey, part dolphin, Candice Cowboys If it.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Starts with to see, it's the same dimssion.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
But I mean the in the new era, the the
challenges aren't fair towards dumb people because it always ends
in a puzzle and you got some super genius like
Rachel who's killing people out there.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Yeah. Yeah, but it's something that you can train for
you can train your brain a bit more to be
more puzzle based. I like, Okay, I just think that
Ozzie had three things going for him and he used
all three. He had his hair, which he definitely utilized.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
But so right, but the longer the hair, the more
you can stick in.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
It, right, you'll have less hair. You's video game two
he has he has.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
He has broad shoulders, but he's not bit like he's.
He's not overly skinny, and he's not big boned like he's.
He can so he could do this weird thing with
his back that makes his back turn into a.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Bowl, right, Okay, okay, which is great.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
And then he had super baggy shorts that he could utilize.
Where the girls, especially, I think that their swimsuits just
aren't conducive to soaking up a bunch of mud.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Yeah, like Ossie, he's well versed in turning things into
a bowl, and I think that's what allowed him to
win this challenge.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
Yeah, I'm overthinking the room here. I just think it
is the what it sticks out to me as the
most unfair challenge and survivor. It's fun to watch, Yeah,
it's not. I think I think the fire making challenge
every season is the most unfair.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
How is that unfairfair?

Speaker 1 (10:38):
The same tools? Oh don't all right? If we're gonna
get into it about the mud Bowl, are you gonna
see me? Teeney would have had the wind, but the.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Wind was This is just a personal thing from Chase.
It's like, look, we're all mad he didn't win.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
You can't say it was because it was unfair. It
was because the wind.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Elements of it.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
You know, they were in the same place though, right, Like,
it's not like they were in different because hey, man,
I don't think you know how wind works. I understand
how wind works. It works around different environments. Maybe there's someone,
maybe there was a person in front of Sam that
wasn't in front of Teeny blocking the wind for Sam.
Who should think only you think only Sam had a

(11:25):
camera person in front of him. I'm just saying the
way that the wind works, it's mysterious. It is the
wind is mysterious, that the wind works in mysterious ways.
Brand That's what I'm trying to say. Who else works
in mysterious ways?

Speaker 2 (11:37):
That old thought about the wind working mysterious ways proves
its fairness?

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Okay, I really thought you were gonna like jump on
board with me on this and stuff after the whole
mud thing. The thing is one unfair, that's all I'm saying. Okay,
move on, guys, I'm done with the show. I'm done
with the show.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
I hate. We're gonna rip our sh it's off and
leave now, Antonio Brown style.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
Okay, So uh Ozzie ParvE and you'll win. And yeah,
now spa time. Well Ozzy gets to send someone to
Exile Island. He looks at Adam and he goes, ah, sorry, man,
I mean you know it's you.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Yeah, and Adam's time on exile. Uh. He wasn't as
sad as Candace was. It didn't break his spirits that much.
But when he was stuck in the rain in the
freezing cold, that seemed to get to him a little bit. Yeah, oh,
chase cash in his hand. Yeah, one hundred grand I
got a hundred greend.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Yeah. The Exile Island, I don't ever since Brand brought
it up at the beginning of the season, really no
point for Exile Island to exist this season, And I
think it doubles down here where it's like, this is
the only opportunity that Adam would have had to try
to save him and ParvE and try to flip someone

(13:00):
and try to make some big game moves eliminated because
he's in exile Island, he doesn't have this opportunity. And
then we have the Spa reward going on at the
same time where Yule, Ozzy, and ParvE are all naked
in a hot tub skinny dipping together. Yep.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
This is my most vivid memory of the season from
watching the Child that I don't know. It just stuck
in my mind. I think Ozzy, no, I think it.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Was the blur of Ozzie really sticks with all of us.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
I remember my parents. I was like, what's happening here?
Because I was when did this come out? Oh six,
Like I was five or six years old. I was like,
what's going on? My parents? I remember my dad said
they shouldn't be doing that.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
They shouldn't be doing it. It's two thousand and six.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Were all like, I guess you'd seen it before, but
I was very concerned. When Ozzy did the what was
that like hump back whale.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Yeah, he flipped from the hot to the guy. I
didn't know the pool was right there. You just thought
he was killing himself. I thought he was just ass
out killing himself and I thought that's how he lost.
I was like, oh, that's how he lost the season.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Yeah, let me just Jeff Hardy on to the grounds.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
He's the best to never win because he killed himself
at the end of Cook Islands. Every other Assie you
see and seasons including fifty fake. That's so funny. It's
like the the Kanye is a clone theory but for
Ozzie and Survivor.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
But they walked into the spa covered in mud, and
you know, Jeff was loving that too. But I mean this, uh,
it was like the sanctuary. Good things were happening there
that it had it all. They were covered in mud,
they got the shower, they got massages. Uh, they lost power,
but it's okay because they lit candles and it was
a great time. And then some I don't know, they're

(14:52):
dancers and people singing all of a sudden in the
Do you think.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
The power out actually went out or did the dancers
just want their undertaker entrance?

Speaker 5 (15:02):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Do you think it was a theme thing? I think
it was. It was you know kind of like I
was like, you know, someone on that island is just
an accountant, you think that production went to them and
they were like, hey man, we're just the we're just
like the local youth group. We don't really do this off.
And they're like, Oh, don't worry, we're gonna cut the
lights off. You can do like the whole thing. It's

(15:24):
gonna be awesome. Yeah, they're not actually from there. It's
a mission strip. Yeah. Yeah, it's a bunch of white people.
We've got to speaking of white people. Uh, the whites
are in trouble. Uh oh yeah. When we get back
from the SPA Reward Challenge where I mean, I mean,

(15:46):
do you guys think that do you think that PARV
being completely naked was a strategy move?

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Probably?

Speaker 1 (15:55):
Do you think they were all naked?

Speaker 3 (15:57):
I think yeah, yeah, yeah. She was just trying to
get an end with them and then, you know, be
friends with these guys. Best way to do that take
your clothes off.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Right, Amen. Follow up question. Follow up question, because I
think it obviously worked. Whatever in my life has ever
been like, you know what, we'll steal this dealked that
would probably destroyed deals. Can't confirm.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
That's how me and Chase got the Bramble Jam deal.
We were like, you know what, we just get naked
in this boardroom.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
And we didn't like seal the deal but didn't hurt.
But Jonathan didn't and that was the most important part
of the plan. Anyway, follow up question, would like, because
I think it worked on Ozzie, Definitely, you'le too smart
of a person. I don't think it felt he fell
for it. Would it have worked on you? Would you

(16:51):
have flipped on your tribe for that? Hmm?

Speaker 3 (16:56):
Depends on a six.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Maybe when you were seven years old, six, when I
had not seen boobs before. Yeah, maybe it would have worked.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
I think the the thing that I would consider is
I would I and I think Ozzie is uniquely in
this position. I don't think you was ever gonna consider, right,
there is a world where Ozzie decides, I think if
I go with ParvE, I think I could go the way.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
I think I could win. And so you're saying the
nakedness had nothing to do with it, it was just a
I don't think the nakedness that would have even in six.
Maybe in six I don't know. I don't know. I
don't know how you want me to answer this question.
I don't know, man, I'm just trying to set you
guys up for some jokes that I.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
Even Chase describe this reward as stefan from weekend update.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
This challenge has everything. Naked women, naked men, and candles
in the night time.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
All right, solid, you didn't sound gay enough. Well, I
don't want to be a fit. It was cold.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
It was a cold impression off the rip. I wasn't planning.
I didn't warm up.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
You're right, I'll give you a few days notice.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Next time, Yeah, Stephan energy him in offensive gay voice?
Next week? Ready Vitorious T shirt? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (18:40):
I got that? Yeah, is gosh I had. I'm gonna
I'm gonna put I'm learning to play that on guitar.
I'm gonna put that on Instagram.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
Which one you'll be looking out?

Speaker 3 (18:53):
Yeah, Hey, guys, be on the lookout for me covering
the Victorious song. It's the long awaited sequel to PD
covers I, Carly and Bathrobe.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Hey, awesome video. I actually ironically think that's one of
the best videos ever. Uh yeah, PD big fan of Victorious.
I'm a big fan of Victorious. What about you brand?
What are your thoughts love Victorious?

Speaker 3 (19:12):
This challenge has everything.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
This has everything anyway, the immunity challenge. You have four
bundles and you have to get these four bundles across
a balance beam to create a table maze. You have
to use the maze to maneuver a cannon ball into
the two corner pockets. Winner gets immunity. Any of the
challenges that happen in episode fourteen and fifteen, it's almost

(19:36):
like there's no need to talk about it because you
know what's about to happen. Ozzy is the greatest challenge
beast of all time. He wins once again, and I
mean he's unbeatable, dude. I do want to point out though,
that in this episode, to go back to the reward
challenge for just a second, Yule coming in third place

(19:58):
in that individual reward challenge was the only time in
Yule's entire Survivor career that he won an individual challenge. Wow,
it's because he was up against Ozzy, who wins everything.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Yeah, and then you got Brand who's like one of
the people who's like, you know, Patrick Mahomes, He isn't
that good?

Speaker 1 (20:22):
Yeah, just wait until the end of the episode. Tom
Brady sucks. Who'd he ever beat? Not Eli Manning? Am
I right?

Speaker 3 (20:31):
PD?

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Is that a good reference is that, man, I I
take I take my friend's interests seriously and I try
to learn things to that way I can relate to
them and have good conversation you or something. Yeah, yeah,
it was probably the tip. But but but it's like,

(20:53):
it's why I try to learn football stuff for PD,
It's why I try to learn things about uh Russian
soap operas for brand. That is my known interest. Yes, yeah,
not Christmas? No, No, I don't. I wouldn't rush about Yep.
Very funny that your your special interest is Christmas. You

(21:16):
know who else's special interest was Christmas? Christ? And I
think if we all were a little bit more like Christ,
like Brand, we would all be a better place. Okay, guys,
West Day, I feel.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Like that didn't make sense for any of it, especially
the end, but I have made me feel good. Better place.
How are we a place?

Speaker 1 (21:40):
I don't know, but we're an institution and as a
human race and and speaking of race, the race War
season I think says a lot about guys. I hope
you're ready because this is my I'm trying out my
character for season forty nine, and that's what this is.
This is what this is. It's gonna be a lot
of nonsense rambling all season long. So if you're a
fan of that, make sure you hit the subscribe button,

(22:02):
make sure you leave us a review over on iTunes.
And while you're at it, I have a new DVD
out on Blu Ray where I rank all of parv's
best moments in Survivor history, and you can get that
for only nineteen ninety nine or at your local best
Buy for twenty five ninety nine.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Inflation. Sure, I don't know that's not that, but yeah, yeah,
we're actually inflationship store to store inflation.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
Hit the best Buy in particular, Dang dude, it's no
longer the best Buy, no inflation.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
So to avoid more bits like this, we are trading
Chase to drop your buffs.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
We're taking don't want me after. They'll want me after
my Stefan impression for sure.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
Yeah, they'll be like, this.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
Is an ally that we need on our show.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
You know, I'm gonna do every reward challenge next season
as Stefan st fod. This challenge has everything they walk
in covered in mud, and then they get to shower
and then you get massages, and then the power goes
out and you think the night is over. But then
they bring out candles and belly dancers. That's good, I do.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
That was great.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
Thank you about doing What's great about doing that for
new seasons is you can record it once and use
it every single week because it's exact.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
You got them braid got everything, has everything, sand rope
and mud and a puzzle at the end. Okay, we
we just did the immunity challenge. Ozzie's the greatest champion
of all time. Let's go to tribal. Let's do it

(23:50):
all right.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
So I was just gonna say, uh, there was talk
before tribal obviously, well Adam really he can't save his game, right,
he knows that. You know, it's not gonna work. ParvE
is noway, like it's not gonna work. Everybody knows nothing's
gonna work, and so there is like they're trying, but

(24:14):
there's not anything all right this time?

Speaker 3 (24:15):
Yeah, Harve a conversation with the Godfather too. She was
worried going home. She's like, I don't necessarily want to
say that, like I'm pitching myself over Adam, but Mitch was, I.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Mean, Adam didn't get naked in the hot tub. He did.
This would be a whole different season. I think he
could have won it all.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
And then we get to Tribal and we get hatgate
because Yu'll brought Jonathan's hat and Jeff just presses on
him like he's like, hey, you'll, this is an obvious
jury move. Dude, is everybody seeing They didn't really say
it like that, but it Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Do you think it was because it was getting kind
of bland at this point? I mean, there was one
alliance that had all the numbers. We knew what was
gonna happen. Do you think he was just trying to
get some sort of chaos, I.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Guess, And he's like Yules, just steamrolling to the end
and then making this obvious Jerry move because.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
I think even in this tribal at a different point,
he starts bringing up like the immunity idol and like, hey,
maybe you can maybe you guys can make a move.
Like he seems like he was really trying to get
them to do something other than sticking to their four alliance.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Yeah, but didn't work. Poverty goes home instead of I
figured it was going to be Adam, but the hot
tub thing didn't work.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Dang, get well, you need it was a hot tub
time machine. You know what I mean? Whoa whoa, which
you can get anywhere. It is more expensive at best Buy.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
Yeah, shout out to Tim Robinson.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Yeah. And if it's if it's an inflated if it's
an inflatable hot tub, it's even more expensive. Double the inflation. Yeah,
inflation on the inflation. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
So Parverdy is gone voted out fifth. Uh, Yule is
a liar because I think he said that he would
keep her. Man that he's such a manipulator.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Man, we should start a hate campaign against that guy. Dude. Look,
PARV goes home. PARV goes home, But her journey is
just beginning. She will go on to become one of
the greatest Survivor players of all time, a reality TV icon,
and a best selling author brand what's the name of
her book, good Girls? Nope, don't cry?

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Mm hmm close.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
What's good Girls? Simmy colon Murder?

Speaker 3 (26:35):
She wrote murder, How dick him on?

Speaker 1 (26:39):
How be How to win Survivor and get away with
it without crying? Dude, you nailed it. Absolutely. We got
to read that book. Though I feel like we've been
a little hard on part of this episode, not out
of disdain she's one of the best of all time.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
This is what I this is what I'll say about
Park watching this season. Yeah, something that stuck out to
me while watching this is Yule basically talking about how
he parv surprised him by like, how you know, like

(27:12):
she's pretty.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Good at this game? He said, right, yes, yes, And
little did he know at that time that he's talking
about someone who would go on to play this game
more than anybody else. Yes.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
And I am very impressed after watching this season of
Survivor to see just how good she is in the
coming seasons because she took what worked in this season,
which is her personality, her social game, the flirting.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
It does work.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
She's very good at that, and that is and it's good,
it's fun to watch, right, But then she completely went
to another level strategically in the coming seasons, especially with
the all girls alliances and whatnot moving forward. And I
think she probably went back and watched the season and
went like, there were things that I could have done

(28:08):
to align myself with different people that I missed because
I was so focused on just the flirting aspect of it,
if you will, of.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
My k So you're saying she is what makes her
such a survivor legend is that she's a student of
the game and that she.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
I mean, I think everybody, by and large is not everybody.
I think most players are better their second time as
far as the strategy goes. But I think what what
Yule was saying here is that he was surprised that
she was strategic at all. And like, I think that
she she only gets better, Like, and it's really impressive

(28:47):
to see like this season, which kind of the the
foundation of her game so to speak, is there, and
to see her build on it. I've I've seen her
play now three different seasons and half of the Australian
versus the world. Yeah, and she gets better every every time. Like, like,
I think her strategy gets better every time, or at

(29:10):
least the way that she thinks about the game gets
better every time.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
And she's like she's great. Yeah. Little did you'll know
at that point in time that he was little did
you know that ParvE would go on to be the
best of all? Little did you'll know?

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Melody is a little off, but you were close.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
You're a little off. You know what you.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
Are once again trying to I know you. I love
the Russian soapbubbers, but I also love Christmas and.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
That was absolutely We're in episode fifteen.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
I'm the finale.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
I'm on one today, guys. I don't know what you
guys would do without me. Honestly, you'd probably have a
better show. It would be shorter, but I don't know
if it'd be better. Sure.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
So Adam is upset because he doesn't have anyone to
sleep with anymore.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
Right, that's Adam for the rest of his life, am
I right? Guys? Hey, Adam, love you body.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
And really it's just Adam complaining. And then we go
to the challenge.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
Guy, is this the Immunity Challenge? You have to race
around a rope's course with eight different stations. Once you
complete a station, you will receive a bag of puzzle pieces.
First to complete the puzzle wins immunity. This is I
had forgotten about this. There was a big period of
time where every final challenge like this, well not Final Challenge,
but it was this big eight station course of different things,

(30:41):
and I missed that. I don't know when they stopped.
It's really fun. It was always really fun when they
did that. It was kind of to what Brand was
saying earlier, like It kind of opens it up to
everyone for the most part, because it's like there's one
really hard, safe station and then one more easy station.
So if you strategize correctly and you do the whole
hard one first, you can do the easier one later

(31:02):
when everyone's tired, there's a way to work around it
and strategize it. But it doesn't really matter when Ozzie's
in the season because he wins again. Baby, what's up?
What's up?

Speaker 3 (31:10):
Yeah, Ozzie's just steamrolling. It was Uh, it was incredible.
It makes I want to do a compilation of brand
saying that Ozzie sucks and then put it over the
footage of him winning all of these.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Yeah, this is I'll say this, this is.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
The the best Assie win of the season because I
have very tongue in cheek. I hope that comes across.
But been giving Ozzie a hard time this season about
only being able to perform in the water and this
twofold no water and ends in a.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
Puzzle, right dude.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
Yeah, and so it's it is and it He starts
off to your point chase with the hardest one.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
He's down one bag to four or five.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
He comes back and he wins that end quote unquote
the hardest puzzle ever in the history of forever or whatever.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
That is what Jeff say about and he goes on
the record after the fact and stays true to that
after that season aired. All right, sure, thank you for
that was a sneaky fun fact with Chase. Yea. And
it's a little bit I'm doing where I say something
crazy and then and then I just go and is

(32:34):
that is that tracking? Like?

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (32:35):
Is it working as a bit? You think, no, it's
not where he was a bit. Oh yeah, it is
the shop. Ah see, that was good. That was good.
It's working. It's picking up. It's like the Octopus song.
It's a slow burn, but people will get behind. Always
worked for me, Chase, I really appreciate that. Oh see,
it's starting to pick up some steam.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
Okay, yeah, it's the most it is the most dominant
Ozzie performance. I think he should have used this challenge
more to like brag about, like I this is. It
is such a dominant performance. It it and it shows

(33:18):
that he's not only this crazy fish man, right, but
he can do it all. He can he can and
he can come from behind and even when the challenge
ends in a puzzle. I can do it. It's not
just about the physical, it's also I'm really smart and
he I think he could have He should have talked

(33:39):
about that more.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
Yeah, Asdra said, black Brown and Yellow power baby.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
Uh huh yeah, and that's true.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Oh man, Oh, you're doing your bit again. I thought
you're about to say something.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Just let us not get Can we have a clip
like a sign? Hey, guys, I apologize. I don't know
what's wrong with me. You Yeah, Like, I was just
really excited to see you guys. I was doing a
bit when Brand showed up before the show. I was
doing a bit for minutes. I ran that song twice
Brand before anyone showed up. Oh wow, that's a lot

(34:22):
of commitment. Yeah. I was playing a Millie by Lil
Wayne and flashing one hundred thousand dollars in cash.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
You're just doing that for four minutes until somebody saw you. Wow.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Yeah. Was it worth it? No? Okay? And I didn't
give you enough. I'm just kidding.

Speaker 3 (34:40):
It was in Uh, can you leave the a thing
on time machine and not bring that into forty nine?

Speaker 1 (34:49):
We'll see. I'm test running a lot of stuff, Okay,
we'll see what works and I'll pick it up for
the full season.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
Yeah. So we go to Tribal after Ozzie wins, and
it's obvious. That's what made the last two episodes boring
to me, is how obvious the results were.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
And this is tries.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
Yeah, well, this is when he really tries to do that.
I know I'm not leaving, but like, let's get the
idol out right.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
No one cares.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
Nope, They're like, we will lose. It's okay. Yeah, Adam
goes home. Adam if he's done, He's just like, so, Adam,
are you done? And he's like, yeah, I think I am.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
It's the most cordial season. But in two major things
about Adam going home here. The first thing is I
forgot how far Adam made it in the season. I
told you. It's shocking to me that he never comes
back unless I'm missing something. I do not think he
ever returns, which is crazy. And then this is a

(35:57):
fun fact with Chase. This marks the very first time
because Adam goes home, no one in the final four
is Caucasian, and this the whites were the first race
to be extinct extinguished in the season. There is someone

(36:20):
from every other tribe, every other race in the final four.

Speaker 3 (36:25):
That is a fun fact.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Yeah, and okay, I wasn't doing a bit there, like legitimately, Like.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
It is so interesting to look back at how like
how we were talking earlier in the season about how,
you know, everybody they're panicking because all the white people
are sticking around, and now here we are with.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
All all of the whites are gone, And.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
I do feel like they've kind of thrown out the
theme of this season at this point. It's no longer
like a thing that they're harping on every moment of
every episode like they were in the first couple episodes,
but it is. It's I think it was at the
very least cool to see this play out the way

(37:10):
that it played out.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
And another thing that kind of goes along with how
great ParvE is. Out of all four seasons that Parv
competed in, this is the only episode out of every
season where she does not compete in a challenge. Really yeah,

(37:34):
crazy say it again. In all of the seasons that
she has played, this episode is the only episode where
she does not compete in a challenge.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
So finishing fifth was her worst finish in survivor history. Yeah,
for like the first how many seasons does she play?

Speaker 1 (37:53):
Four? I don't know if this is counted. I mean
I imagine it could change, but you knows of And
if if we're gonna count au, then it would be
like counting the World Baseball Classic, Like you don't really? Yeah, yeah,
no one does that. And who knows how far she
got there?

Speaker 3 (38:13):
Yeah? Was she Japan or was she America? Brand will
find out?

Speaker 1 (38:18):
I will find.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
You want to be Japan in that scenario, Chase, just
in case you didn't know.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
Oh, no, I picked up. I take your interest seriously,
I don't.

Speaker 3 (38:32):
I don't think we've ever talked about the World Baseball Classic,
but we can start if you want.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
Yeah, I mean we just started. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
Me and Me and Brand text about it every night.
Were like, hey, twenty twenty six, it is gonna be huge.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
We do and we could bring you into that if
you want, y Yeah, loop me in, loop me in.
There was a little while where you guys were talking
about stuff in the group chat that I had no
interest in. But this sounds fun.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
So oh would it be the scandals of Christian musicians? Yeah,
that's one of my favorite pastimes and good one.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
Dang it, dude, I forgot. I forgot that was sneaky
one because I was like, guys, it only gets better,
it only gets better.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
So where are we at? Brad is? I mean not Brad.
Brad's been photogun.

Speaker 1 (39:27):
Thank Adam So then John Paul goes home.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Yeah, John Paul w uh so after voting at them out,
not Brad. Everyone's pumped. All the whites are finally gone. Yeah,
minority is gonna win, and its rites of passage time,
something brand famously doesn't like. I think I don't. I mean,
I don't really care.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
But you skipped it though, right, p Yeah, I watched.

Speaker 3 (39:56):
I also I watched the Seku one and then I
was like, skip skips.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
It's not that it's bad, it's that if I can
skip it, I will skip it.

Speaker 3 (40:07):
Right.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
Here's here's what I'll say when rewatching the seasons. I
skip it. If I was watching it week to week,
I would kind of like it in season fifty for
it to come back, because it's kind of nice to
get a refresher of everything that's happened. But you don't
need it when you've watched the season. I agree. If

(40:29):
it was happening in real time. I probably would enjoy it.

Speaker 3 (40:31):
I don't think it's about a refresher. I think it's
funny to get like the people in the very beginning
having to say one sentence about the game that lasted
for one or two episodes. I didn't mean to be
the leader, but that's just the position I was putting.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
So no one stuck around for Billies. I would have loved.

Speaker 3 (40:50):
Actually, he's just like a metal head at heart, and
it's talking about.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
Rock and roll and being a rebel. Guys, let's take
a minute to reflect on our season and think back
to the beginning where we had Billy on the show.
That feels like a lifetime ago. Guys, early, yes, we did.
I personally blame PD.

Speaker 3 (41:15):
You can blame whoever you want.

Speaker 1 (41:17):
I blame PD because because PD got Billy on week three, Yeah,
was it weak? Well, it made the most sense though
you got Billy on week three. How it was supposed
to go up on that too? I know, unless we
could have got par or Yule.

Speaker 2 (41:33):
But I mean we're Starv's not talking because of fifty.
Ossie's not talking cause fifty. You probably would have talked,
but I would have fallen asleep. So it's like, what
you were a Mule hater.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
I'm not a ll hater. Yu'l is.

Speaker 3 (41:48):
Wow, it's not you like all that nobody went up
against him.

Speaker 1 (41:52):
You'll masterminded that Juel is objectively boring right as a speaker. Yes,
he's I mean he's a lawyer. Is he a lawyer?

Speaker 3 (42:03):
Really?

Speaker 1 (42:03):
Yeah? I do not remember that they should do the
thing that Big Brother does where every time Vince goes
on the screen they put unemployed beside his name so
that way I can remember.

Speaker 3 (42:12):
We didn't talk about it in the last episode, but
when Adam was doing his last ditch effort to get
Ozzie out or to get Yule out, and he's talking
to Ozzy and then Yule picks up on that, and
Yule goes into the tent with Adam and he's like,
why are you trying to play the game right now, dude,
I don't understand why, dude.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
I really thought that was That was kind of Yule's
like one embarrassing moment from this season where it's like,
hey man, let him scramble for his life, but he
straight up his ghost him and goes, hey man, don't
do that. Don't do that. Fun facts with Chase with Bran.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
The last rights the final season was Survivor Caramone.

Speaker 1 (43:00):
Is that how you say that Caramone?

Speaker 2 (43:02):
Uh? Yeah, sure, sure, which is twenty six and they
have since retired this. Jeff Prope said, quote, it meant
more in the earlier seasons and doesn't have any value
in recent seasons.

Speaker 3 (43:16):
Doesn't have any value? Why is it? Why was it
valuable earlier on? So is he saying that they've gotten what?

Speaker 1 (43:25):
I'd like to think that, like during twenty twenty he
went back and binged some old seasons and was like,
I skipped that every time, let's get rid of that.
Fun They they in the on the Survivor fandom, they
do source an episode of the podcast.

Speaker 2 (43:42):
So I'm guessing you talked about that, probably in a
question that somebody asked, which is what happened the last trites? Oh,
it's the final several season forty six of finale.

Speaker 3 (43:51):
I think back when you could, I mean back when
they did read questions and they had a segment called
this is why you suck? And Jeff would read criticism
that got cut after season one.

Speaker 2 (44:03):
Fun Oh in the time, stamp it for me. All right,
I'll check that out and I'll get back to you
guys because.

Speaker 3 (44:08):
I think thanks, thanks, yeah, go ahead? Please?

Speaker 1 (44:11):
What about this?

Speaker 2 (44:12):
Are you all open to a last Rites revival for
fifty where we do it? Or you asking us if
on the on the on the program, yep, on Survivor
would you like to say come back for fifty as
a special? Like, hey, I yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
Think for fifty they should bring back everything.

Speaker 3 (44:31):
They bring it home.

Speaker 1 (44:32):
They should bring back everything from Survivor every every every season.

Speaker 3 (44:39):
All right, sounds good, book it ud be serious, Like,
I think they should bring back all the classic stuff.

Speaker 1 (44:47):
They should bring back the way that they do final
tribal where everyone stands up and says their piece. I
think they should bring back.

Speaker 3 (44:52):
They should bring bring back all of it right budget.

Speaker 1 (44:58):
At the very whole.

Speaker 2 (45:00):
You know that we are at least ninety nine percent
sure that they're bringing back Live Reunion, you know, which
is great for fifty.

Speaker 1 (45:07):
I think that's big.

Speaker 2 (45:08):
They're bringing back the marooning for forty nine, which leads
me to believe that they'll do it for fifty, which
is very exciting. So they're bringing back some stuff and
I'm excited about that.

Speaker 1 (45:19):
I think I I am not a new era hater.
I do think that there are elements of old era
that would string back, even just occasionally. Yeah, I really
I was talking to this with you guys. Just I
really hope they bring back themed seasons. I really like
theme seasons. I do too, I do too. Just spice

(45:42):
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
This season forty nine has the logo has a ship
on it, like it's cook Island.

Speaker 1 (45:49):
What's I mean? It's still Fiji, right, It's like, hold on,
could you imagine if we turn? We turn? We we
tune in for episode one of forty nine, Jeff goes,
it's a race war.

Speaker 3 (46:02):
Against just they're doing a marooning from the boat.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
Okay, so that they worked that in that. But then
the forty nine is rope, which I don't know what
that means. Well, dude, I bet they're gonna use rope
in the Okay, I bet they're gonna use rope. It's
some point, dude, we're breaking this wide open.

Speaker 5 (46:20):
Indeed, bro YouTube mystery stuff. Brother, that was nuns hey man,
that's good, am. I I got some And.

Speaker 3 (46:32):
I think I'm just gonna quit Reality TV altogether if
they don't cast Rachel Riley in a surprise twist for
season forty nine or fifty, So they're gonna have to
like edit her in.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
But that's the only like kind of big reality show
that she's never done in Survivor. What if she came
into Survivor that'd be awesome.

Speaker 3 (46:52):
She needs to Uh where were we? Yeah? Rites of Passage?

Speaker 1 (46:56):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (46:57):
Then after that is the Final Chance Challenge challenge.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
Another thing that I hope that they bring back for fifty.
I love when the Final Immunity Challenge is a big
endurance test, you know, going all the way back to
the original seasons where they just had them standing on
a pole and whoever, and they would stand there for
twelve hours or thirteen hours.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
This go I'm sorry, go ahead, no no, please, no, no, no,
after no, I'm not going to fucking talk.

Speaker 1 (47:29):
Okay, well, then maybe don't interrupt next time. Point the
immunity challenge. The final Immunity Challenge is you're standing on
a small steel perch out in the water.

Speaker 3 (47:44):
I just got it spoiled for me, damnit. I it
got Australia spoiled for him.

Speaker 1 (47:53):
What did you do?

Speaker 3 (47:54):
It probably googled poverty?

Speaker 1 (47:57):
Why would you do that? My Google alert for parm
and he went on, no, I just went. I went
on Facebook and it was Brad was like Brad was
like parv Cook Island hot Tub. And then immediately they.

Speaker 3 (48:13):
Wanted you better watch it quick because I found out
like the morning after and I was like, ah, come on,
that sucks.

Speaker 1 (48:21):
Good for her. Uh, we might need to cut that though.
For the people that haven't seen.

Speaker 3 (48:25):
It yet, yeah, please please do as if anybody listens
to the time Machine.

Speaker 1 (48:30):
Did you watch several one hundred people that did you
watch it? Pete?

Speaker 3 (48:35):
I watched the first episode, loved it, and then football started.

Speaker 1 (48:40):
Fair enough. You're just not dedicated.

Speaker 3 (48:43):
Man, you haven't watched the first episode.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
Chase. I'm not talking about me right now. I'm talking
about you. Talk. I'm sorry for interrupting you again, Chase.
You go ahead. Yeah. Bold of you to do that twice.

Speaker 2 (48:57):
The first time was unintentional. They were both unintended. Jeez,
come on, man, and.

Speaker 1 (49:10):
This is the episode where I'm just trying to get
PD to crash out by the all right, you got
to stand on a small steel perch out in the water.
Each perch has been measured to each of their foot size,
so that means that it's equally as a disadvantage for
all of them, no matter how big their feet are.
When it gets down to the final size of the perch,

(49:32):
it will be smaller than half of a postcard. For
the first time ever, it is going to be a
final three Becky drops. First, surprisingly, I didn't see this coming,
Yule drop. Second, well, what did you guys think about
his weird technique, which was to stay bend down and

(49:55):
then when it gets to the hardest point, decide to
stand up?

Speaker 3 (50:00):
PD you wanna, I think that would just be a
good way to make yourself feel lightheaded.

Speaker 2 (50:06):
I've never been I've never bent over like that and
thought this is how I want to spend my day.

Speaker 1 (50:14):
I think he was trying to like lower his center
of gravity, and then it got to the point where
his legs were hurting too bad, so he stood up.

Speaker 3 (50:21):
Surprised Ozzie didn't do that strategy, because he's the kind
of guy who would want to be bent over like
that all day.

Speaker 1 (50:33):
Hey mean, I take back everything I said about you
not trying hard enough that that was a great joke. Banks.
I mean, I'm gonna take a better interest in your interest, dude.
I'm gonna I'm gonna look up the baseball thing. Okay, totally,
You'll drops next. Then Sundra drops, which means, once again, guys,

(50:55):
Ozzie wins the challenge. I think he won almost every
individual immunity challenge this season, and if not all of them,
I'm trying to remember.

Speaker 3 (51:02):
Off went the last four or the last five.

Speaker 1 (51:07):
This was his fifth win just of individual immunity. So yeah, guys,
final tribal. It's a final three for the first time ever.
Isn't that interesting to look back and be like, whoa
is three? Now? I remember when I was watching through
for the first time and I got to this season
and Jeff says it's a final three. It blew my mind.

(51:30):
I was like, how does that even work? Yeah, it
didn't work. The answer is that did not work, so
they chested it for years. Version of it did not work.
We'll talk about that. What happens next. Well, a couple
of things. One, You'll could have made this very easy in.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
A sense, right, Well, he tried to make it easy
on Becky and give her the immunity necklace. She said no,
and so and then Ozzie's just like, I think I
think that they should have to battle it out basically,
and so which fair and so they go to make
fire and it sucks.

Speaker 1 (52:15):
It is embarrassing.

Speaker 2 (52:19):
This fire making competition is so embarrassing that they go
to matches and then an hour and a half and then.

Speaker 1 (52:31):
Sundra runs out of matches. Brutal bro This is the
most fair challenge I think that they make the fact
that they ever did this again is a miracle. The

(52:51):
first time it was embarrassing. It was bad TV. Yeah,
this should have single handedly got the show, can it.

Speaker 3 (53:01):
That's how bad This was, not the whole race part,
but the fire making at the end of the race.

Speaker 1 (53:05):
Wanta hut you got it? Yeah, say what you will
about the race war. It was interesting. Does this remind
me because Brandon, you've been watching the seasons? Is this
before or after the Purple Rock scandal happens? After Purple
Rock happens. I think season four that changed everything because

(53:26):
when the Purple Rock incident happens, they figured out, like, Okay,
we need to have a solid plan in place for
tie breakers and and anything that could happen in these
final tribals. And so I think that the their standardization
was fire making.

Speaker 2 (53:42):
Right and it but like I think it works. I
like it I think at this point it just wasn't
a part of it, right, and so they should they
both have learned how to make fire over the last
thirty nine days. Yeah maybe, but also like if you

(54:08):
don't know that that might come into play and you
don't and no one's being like, hey, Sondram, make the
fire today.

Speaker 1 (54:14):
Why the hell would you? Why would you make the fire?
And fun fact with Chase, this is the longest time
taken to complete a fire making challenge ever, two hours.
I was waiting for to be like, okay, and now
we're going to introduce gasoline.

Speaker 3 (54:34):
That would have been great. Yeah, really boring. Uh, And
that's kind of the theme of these last two episodes.
It's like the season it was really fun because of
Billion Cowboy, then they both get voted off. It's really
boring until Pinner does the mutiny and then does the

(54:54):
double mutiny and become that was rat cancer. Yeah yeah,
and that cancer, and then once the rat cancer is gone,
it's boring again.

Speaker 1 (55:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (55:08):
Yeah, So thanks for choosing this one. When I wanted
to do Pearl Islands Patreon communicator, I really appreciate that.
I wanted to talk about Rupert and instead God, but
we did get to talk to Billy, So it's like,
isn't that made it all worth Yeah? Getting Billy to
you know, make up a bunch of I mean tell
the truth for an hour. It was sweet.

Speaker 5 (55:30):
You know.

Speaker 3 (55:31):
I'm really glad we've got to do that.

Speaker 1 (55:37):
I kind of if we want to wrap it up here,
I have one last kind of thing to talk about
and to ask Brand in particular because of the whole
thing that we had this season where Brand predicted in
episode one that Yule is the winner. This is a
season where it really felt like there was a winner's edit,

(56:00):
Like Yule felt like the main character of this show
at all times. I Jeff Prost here you say that
there is no winner at it because it's like, even
in a season with one of the greatest challenge beasts
of all time, in my opinion, watching it the first
time and watching it back now, not once did I

(56:22):
ever think Ozzie was gonna win over Yule. Really, my
question to you is what did, like, did you feel
like Yule was the main character from week one? Yes? Yeah,
he was the main character of this season.

Speaker 2 (56:44):
I think what I'm walking away with with this season,
I think that first of all, this season I don't
think that they should necessarily do Final three every year,
and I don't know how you decide it. This would
have been a more compelling Final Tribal if it was
just a Final two. I think sometimes the final three

(57:06):
can really work, so it can't. I don't really know
how you plan for that, and so it is what
it is, right, But I I think Ozzie should have
won this season, and I was just about to say that,
And it's not because it's it is partially because he's
a challenge beast. That is obviously part of it.

Speaker 1 (57:26):
I don't think he.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
Got enough credit for being as strategic as he was,
and I think he tried to talk about it a
little bit during Final Tribal. But the first pre merged,
he is the Yule right of that tribe, the tribe
that he started with, and then until we get to

(57:50):
Merge where it goes fully uh individual based, he is
running the game strategically. I think there are two mastermind
of this season, and it is Yule clearly. I'm not
taking anything away from you and Ozzy pre Merge. That
the difference is is post merge, Ozzy kind of falls

(58:14):
into this place with Yule, and but the reason why
he could do that is because he won every It's
because he wins every week, and so it didn't.

Speaker 3 (58:24):
Matter wanted him gone, Becky wanted him gone, Sundra did too,
and they just couldn't do it because he couldn't stop winning.

Speaker 2 (58:30):
And so I think if there's somebody who, like, for
the entire season, is only a challenge beast, I understand
the argument against having that person win, But when somebody
is both a challenge beast and also for the first
half of the season did actually play strategically, I think

(58:51):
that you have to give the w two that person.
I do think you'll I understand Yule winning. I don't
think it's necessarily I think I may be said wrong,
but I don't think it's necessarily wrong. I think there's
a really, really great argument for Ozzie winning the season,
and it is to this point thirteen. I think that

(59:12):
this is the biggest coin flip of a season as
far as who's gonna win. I honestly think most seasons,
by the time they read the votes, I know this
is the first season where I would have been on
pins and needles watching this live, genuinely having no idea

(59:33):
who's gonna win awesome.

Speaker 1 (59:34):
Yeah, I think Yule is one of the best winners
of all time. That being said, I think Ozzie should
have won this season. That's just how good both of
them were. Because even if you look post Merge, when
Ozzie does not win something, even if it's a team
reward challenge or an individual reward challenge, he then implements

(59:55):
things like, hey, let's stop feeding them so that they
can't be next week. I think that he played the
game extremely hard and we didn't see it as much
because we got the Mule Show every single week. So
that's that's what I wanted to bring up, guys.

Speaker 3 (01:00:08):
Because it was the Yule Show. That's why Yule gets
to win, because it was his show.

Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
I agree. I was just about to ask you that
you hield it, so I was like, PD, do you agree.

Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
Nope, Ozzy he was I'm going to turn into brand
From the beginning of the season. Yeah, he was great
doing his little aquaman dives and whatever else glistening in
the water. But when it comes to actually controlling the game,
that's what Yu'll did. Baby Juel was taking everybody and
just throwing them out one by one.

Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
Yeah, but if we are just basing this off of bushes.
Ozzy wins the bush on that guy's nuts.

Speaker 1 (01:00:54):
Guys, I'm going into season fifty rooting for Ozzie so hard.
He's my favorite Survivor player of all time. I want
him to win so badly, and so I'm really gonna
just ask you, guys, kindly, don't draft him. Let me
have him. When was the last time Ossie played? It's
been a minute.

Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
I would say he's been a decade or two.

Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
I mean, yeah, yeah, because he didn't come back for
forty right, he didn't come back for.

Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
Forty is winners at War one of the best to
never win.

Speaker 3 (01:01:25):
Yeah, yeah, I was losing by war. Maybe he could
have returned.

Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
I'm really I'm really intrigued to see how he handles
the challenges.

Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
I think that's one of the most compelling things.

Speaker 3 (01:01:38):
You still have.

Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
It.

Speaker 3 (01:01:39):
Is he gonna be like Aaron Rodgers who knows?

Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
Or is he going to be like Colby and uh
just come back and just be like what's happened to me?
Follow up question? Is Colby going to be at fifty
and be as bad as he was the last time
he came back.

Speaker 2 (01:01:55):
I can't imagine him I can't imagine him being somehow
better twenty years later.

Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
I can't wait, guys. But before we get to fifty,
we gotta get to forty nine. Speaking of season forty nine,
this is the last time Machine episode of the off season.

Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
Which means it might be the last Survivor time Machine ever.

Speaker 1 (01:02:14):
We'll see, guys.

Speaker 2 (01:02:19):
You know what, this time, the time Machine didn't get
a fair shake. You guys are all in on Big Brother,
and that's fair. I had a good time hanging out
with my friends and talking about Survivor, So you know what,
Screw your big Brother, screw your dumb shake ups.

Speaker 1 (01:02:34):
I'm glad Rachel's gone.

Speaker 3 (01:02:36):
Oh I show you know about it. I didn't know
you knew. I thought you were offline and didn't know
anything about anything.

Speaker 1 (01:02:43):
That entered my feed. Okay, thanks to you, you guys,
and I had a great time.

Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
Do I'm glad. I also, wow, I can't believe you
said that. That is I've been crashing out about the
Rachel thing for days. Yeah, but yeah, I had fun
too on the show. Great to span time with.

Speaker 1 (01:03:03):
You, guys.

Speaker 3 (01:03:04):
I hate I think production, big production.

Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
We're back next week with our forty nine preview. Jonathan
is back. Jonathan is in person.

Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
Next week, which is gonna be a lot of a game.

Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
That's right, So come back next week to hear a
breakdown on every single player. Yes, I'm very excited about
that episode. I I've thought more about season forty nine
over the past week than I anticipate. I kind of
anticipate myself not being as pumped about this season because
I'm so pumped about fifty.

Speaker 1 (01:03:41):
But I'm I'm I'm there, I'm there, I'm I'm jacked
about forty.

Speaker 3 (01:03:45):
It could end up being better than fifty.

Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
It could very well. I mean, they could drop the
ball hard on fifty. You never know.

Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
It's all right of passages. That would suck for us
every episode. It's just the right of passage, every ceremony
at a loop.

Speaker 3 (01:03:59):
Nobody would watch Survivor or listen to our show in
that case, so not be a good, good thing.

Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
That's crazy. When you guys, I just have one more
thing and then we can get out of here. And
oh gosh, dang it, he got me again. Do you
have anything?

Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
I think it's gonna be a fun fact with Chase.
It's gonna catch on stupid.

Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
You're about to hear some ads that helped keep the
lights on here in the old studio. Thanks for listening
or don't listen. It's really up to you. At this
point is at the end of the show. I mean,
you're listening to me Hi. But here they come. I
promised they're coming. Yep, here they are. Happy Day.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
