Speaker 1 (00:02):
Listening to me.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
And last Well.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Coo wee.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Ne sav.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
And weeth b co coo weeby New Save.

Speaker 5 (00:25):
Welllcome. Welcome to the Sanctuary where good Pods Happen. This
is your season forty nine winner Kristen Oh my goodness,
Jonathan Wright and Kristen Right, We've also got mister p. D.
Bachman here.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Hey.

Speaker 5 (00:41):
Shout out again to Mary for letting us use her
beautiful singing pipes at the beginning of every Sanctuary.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Mary doing our theme song. It's still awesome.

Speaker 5 (00:52):
Everything it is awesome. Not only that, but I mean
it's not just awesome because like it meant her, but
the song feels like the Sanctuary, you know, I mean
it was better than the Sanctuary.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Like if her song sucked, I wouldn't want to play
it every single week. But Mary.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Definitely better than whatever we were using before.

Speaker 5 (01:14):
Yeah. What were we using before?

Speaker 1 (01:15):
We were using Yeah, Royalty Free Island Music.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
Tropic Yeah, Tropic one.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah. So Jonathan is the host today, I'm the guest. Okay,
because this is off season PD, I'm phoning it in
until forty nine.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
So I mean, I guess my first question for you
PD as the guest on this podcast is, how did
it feel to lose to me? Technically? This season?

Speaker 1 (01:42):
I in the lead up to this had been texting
Chase like, I'm gonna be so angry when Jonathan wins,
and the reason he means is because of Christian When like,
we have a pretty good sample size to know that
Jonathan has done really bad on his own, and then
there's a sunk.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
You say, giant sample. It's been maybe is it three
times we've been the fourth? Three losses, one win? Now
how many times has Chase lost?

Speaker 1 (02:15):
He's lost the same.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
That's what I'm saying. So maybe it was just my turn.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Okay, I guess I don't know. I feel like like
in baseball, if somebody is really bad for three seasons,
they usually don't get a fourth. You know. Yeah, it's
not like we can't cut you for somebody else. We're
stuck with you.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
That's why I drafted Kristen in on my team books.
I thought, well, if I don't get this season into,
you know, in the year, then I'm probably not gonna
get signed for the next one. You know, there was.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Some joint effort. I mean, you know, I'm pretty sure
Jonathan was going really hard for Joe, and he did
end up in the final three and he got a vote.

Speaker 5 (02:52):
Yeah, no regrets there. I mean, Joe is a saint.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
He might be back in Our Lives next year. We'll
see about that.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
Look Out Season fifties looking like it's gonna be a
pretty big deal. I don't know if you know that, PD.
Have you thought about it?

Speaker 1 (03:09):
I have thought about it a little bit. Okay, and
I think next Wednesday, I'm gonna be waking up at
seven am. I've avoided the spoilers. I'm gonna do it.
I'm gonna set an alarm and I'm gonna wake up
and I'm gonna see, Wow, it is live. I hope
it's Gail because it's the CBS Morning Show.

Speaker 5 (03:27):
Oh dude, yeah, yeah, that would be a lot of fun.
You can be like, is she doing it from space?
Imagine if she had just stayed up there through it.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
You know, she's gonna be like these Survivor players are awesome,
but none of them have been to space, so like
a star.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
Here, She's like, I'm gonna cheer for the one who
was in a spaceship for the most recently, none of them.
Oh okay, you know what, let's.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Get Gail on Survivor.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
Yeah, I would love to see Gail on Survivor leave
as the first person on oh Man. But PD, it
does feel weird, you know, no episode this week. It
feels kind of strange.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Yeah, it is a little bit weird. I mean, I'm
kind of relieved, to be honest.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
It's been hustling.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Yeah, it's been a lot of work. That's why I'm
phoning it in for the off season, and that's why
Jonathan is the host today. You know, I feel like
I kind of feel like you, Jonathan right now.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
Well, and to tell you how well it went that
you put me as the host. I fumbled the first
intro and we had to do it again from the sanctuary.
So things are not always.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
We're about to experience Jonathan just totally winging it.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
Yeah, I didn't. I'll be straight up, p D. You
told me to do the intro and then I got
in here and you said you're you're the host, and
I said, that's interesting. This is the first I'm hearing
of it.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
This is where good Pods happened. This is the scary.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
Yes, don't ask me about any challenges or anything like that,
you know, just ask me where the good times are.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Yeah, because like I said, it's the sanctuary, it's where
good pods happened. A good pods happening right now. And
I got a little Jonathan get the at bat. You know,
he's got to get a few weeks.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
Yeah. Hey, speaking of good things, though, PD, I'm gonna
say something good. I mean, we had more patrons arrived today.
I don't know if you saw those emails come in,
but I think we had three, you know.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
And that means so really close to our goal of
getting Chase to drop that horrible song.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
Really, what was that? What was that goal? Again? I
can't remember forty actual number.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Because we say when we did. When we set the number,
we had twenty patrons, and Brand was like, if we
can double it, we'll release the song.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
And Yeah, in fact, I'm gonna I'm gonna look real quick.
We're gonna get a We're gonna get a quick look.
See dude, Okay, oh PD, we're at thirty seven paid
Wow patrons.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
We're three patrons away.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
We're three patrons away. So for the mere cost of
fifteen dollars total from people, they could hear Chase embarrass himself.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Yeah, I really want this song out there, So I'm
gonna be transparent here and say if you want to join,
just to let us hit the number and then immediately
cancel your subscription.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
That's fine. Yeah, we won't hate it, you know, We're
just with this song out there. Leave it up, be
there for a month, hang out with us, hear the song,
and if you cancel, that's fine. But we want everyone
to stay because the live chats were so fun and
we've got plans for the off season and all that
good stuff. But thirty seven we're right there.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Edit PD Yeah, and this is kind of the first
show of the off season.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
Yeah, yeah, you can tell because we haven't really talked
about it yet.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
It's just been meandering. But that's fine.

Speaker 5 (06:42):
It's been like, how many you're here? Oh, thirty seven,
that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Look, this is a good pod. It's where good pods
are happening. It's where Johnathan got thrown to the wolves.
I just thought it would be funny.

Speaker 5 (06:55):
Well, I I'm okay with it. I mean, considering this
past week, I texted you said, I barely remember what
I said on the episode. I think this is my.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Did I Yeah, you were like, I gotta talk more.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
No, I didn't ask for that. This is outraged.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Come on talk Jonathan. Well, okay, so I.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
Would talk about the after show if there was anything
to talk about p d am I.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Right, yeah, so we I would consider all of us
survivor optimists. You know, we look at the silver lining
and stuff. We don't just hate on the show all
the time, but we universally hate this after show like
immediate after show thing.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
Yeah. Well, and I think even this season I think
demonstrated one of the reasons that I didn't like it,
which was I genuinely, like kind of felt bad that
Eva lost immediately and then had to kind of like
deal with losing so fast, especially considering the fact that

(07:55):
she has like autism and like has a hard time
kind of regulating some of that. I did feel bad
for her that it was kind of hard to come
back from it. So I feel like having a little
bit of a buffer to a live show it would
have given her, like at least time to like being
I don't know, kind of the moment a little bit

(08:16):
more and not feel as panicked.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
I mean absolutely, I think back to when Kinsey and
Kristen broke my heart and Charlie lost dude, the pain
on Charlie's face. I was like, this is such a
bummer for him to have to sit there and they
bring out the pizza and the champagne and they all
have to act like it's a good time.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
Yeah, you gotta like turn it around so fast all
your hopes and dreams.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
And you're not even well rested either, Like that's that's
more so because obviously she would have had to have
found out live and then have to talk about it
right then. But it's way different when you've like just
been out there with zero good sleep and worn out,
You're hungry, you're just desperately wanted this thing, and then

(09:02):
all of a sudden you're like in an interview show.
So I just feel like them being able to go
home and get rest and then come back in front
of an audience. It kind of is like it just
fuels you to have a little bit of a better
time and just all of a sudden losing.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Can we dig a little deeper into the pizza and
champagne aspect of this? What a comma? Why not? Why?

Speaker 6 (09:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Do you think those two things would taste good together?

Speaker 5 (09:28):
I don't know, isn't it? Italians they say that it's
it's wine and pizza that go together. Americans say it's
beer and pizza that go together. And Jeff Probe says,
it's champagne and pizza.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Yeah, and Mary had the whole bottle of champagne.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
Yeah, she was hanging on there.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
You know it was.

Speaker 5 (09:46):
I mean, maybe we'll get a song out of it.
Who knows.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Maybe. I mean, if the watch parties are any indication
Mary has a good time.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Yeah, I just saw today on her story where she
was doing karaoke with some of the other castmates.

Speaker 5 (10:01):
Nothing says a good time quite like karaoke with castmates.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
That's what I always says that Mitch was. She doing
karaoke with.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Mitch yest of gay Bar.

Speaker 5 (10:10):
That's awesome, just hanging out due the Here's what's interesting, though,
is that I feel like talking about Mitch. There was
a statement made about Mitch in the after show that
shocked me.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Oh I wrote it down, yes, yes, do you know
what it is?

Speaker 5 (10:29):
Do you have it?

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Okay? I said, I was phoning it in, but I
couldn't help myself. I had to write down a few things.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
You've been phoning it in.

Speaker 5 (10:36):
I'm like, oh, that means he only has one page
of notes, please say what Jeff said about Mitch.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
So when I wrote it down, I said, this is
a quote I have to write down.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
I don't know you said that.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
Yeah, yeah, so Jeff said, Mitch, I think you're gonna
have a lot of people going, Wow, he can play
the game. He's one of my favorite Survivor players.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
That I think. I don't want to say that Jeff
is caught in the hype and out of touch, but
Kristin and I were hype. Well that's what I'm saying. Okay, Yeah,
like there was no hype around Mitch Man. Dang Christ,
that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Well, when you're out there, like I guess Jeff is
creating the hype. He doesn't know how people are going
to react.

Speaker 5 (11:18):
Yeah, which does kind of make you wonder what kind
of ended up on the editing room floor for Mitch,
because you know, Jeff like sees all of it.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Well, he probably so how Mitch was in the beginning,
and we were all really high on Mitch until to
make a move thing.

Speaker 5 (11:36):
Yeah, but it just kind of makes you wonder if
they ended up focusing so hard on like Camilla and
Kyle obviously due to the win and Joe and Eva
because of how tense it was there at the end
that they that the editors didn't show maybe more of
Mitch trying to have conversations because he talked about making

(11:57):
big moves but they never happened. It could be that
he threw them out there.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
I don't know, why are you trying to make Chase
feel better right now?

Speaker 3 (12:04):
Well?

Speaker 5 (12:04):
No, I'm trying to make myself feel better about Jeff
saying the most outrageous thing the show I've ever heard.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
I thought you were trying to like hype up Mitch
on Chase's behalf right now or something.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
I'm like, No, Chase isn't here, He's on vacation where
good things happen. Still, I guess, but it's you know,
I don't care how he feels about this right now.
So but yeah, when he said that, Kristin and I
were kind of both like, why would he say that?
He's the like, one of the more strategic and a
fan favorite.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Yeah, I don't know. I guess Jeff just didn't have
the right read on it. I think he just saw
Mitch as a really likable guy. Jeff hasn't been hanging
out in Survivor Twitter.

Speaker 5 (12:45):
Yeah, yeah, oh man, dang anything else? Okay, I guess
since I'm driving this boat, well.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
I have a few notes. But what do you want
to say?

Speaker 5 (12:55):
Okay, I mean you really left me thinking about.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Things that stuck out to me with the after show
and they were talking about how like if Camilla had
been sitting there, she would have won.

Speaker 5 (13:06):
Yeah, that was a big deal.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Yeah. I called that one the daggers in my heart
because they all pretty much just like nodded their heads
like yeah, that's that is Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Yeah, well Camilla Camilla really overall, she did have a
better game than Kyle because they played the same game,
except that Kyle was in a majority six alliance. Yeah
for like over half the game.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Camilla was just scraping by with the underdogs.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
And Kyle was not the best liar either.

Speaker 5 (13:34):
No, no, but I think that even just thinking back
on the season a little bit, Kyle played a really
good social game, even though he had some like hiccups,
Like he was very likable and you never heard anyone
throw his name out there other than David when he
got suspicious of him and Camilla, like which I'm sure

(13:58):
he felt completely justified in that intern the actual vote,
But you know, I just I think that Kyle played
a great middle of the road thing now about things.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
I was going to go for. Jeff asked him about
like how it felt to win. He couldn't even answer.
That goes back to what we were talking about the
emotions being too fresh. He started to break down because
he's like, I don't I don't know how to process this.
It happened to me like five seconds ago. Jeff.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
Yeah, well, and it's like I know that that's still
the case in the live show. But again, they're well rested,
they've been home, they have time to kind of like
think about the game a little bit, like think back
on things and just get a little bit of post
survivor clarity. So it's kind of just thinking that through.
But the thing I noticed, and Kristin and I discussed

(14:49):
was that every question that Jeff asked in this it
kind of felt like like a high school yearbook, like
who's most likely to succeed, who's who's most likely to
be in an alliance, who's most likely to talk to
the castmates?

Speaker 1 (15:05):
After that, you're not going to believe this. I have
those two really.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
We're really grasping at straws with this after show.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
I'm like, they were a grand total of six things
for us to talk about, and we're talking about and
that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
So Okay, they said Shaheen would be most likely to
engage with people online. Yeah, I forgot who says that,
but I think they seemed like they agreed, which I
mean I said a little bit.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
Yeah. Kyle was kind of even confused about Shaheen's answer, though,
I couldn't figure out what he meant by it, because
he said, like he wouldn't argue with someone about his
own game, but he would talk to someone that was
hating on themselves.

Speaker 5 (15:46):
The other players.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Johnny Fairplay, Dang, that's true.

Speaker 5 (15:53):
Wait what happened, oh, Kristen, you don't We literally had
an episode titled Shaheen Versus fair Play. Yeah, well, our
own local hero went against Kyle on or went against
shahen and about say is that correct? Was that who
he was raging out about.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
And he's basically saying she sucked?

Speaker 5 (16:17):
Fair Play was like she sucks. Then Shaheen was like, hey,
you suck. Don't say that, you know, blah blah blah,
this she's great. And then fair Play was like, hey man,
I'm just and he completely backtracked the whole thing. He
cowed it out, so he and he said, look, my
grandma's dad over there, and just to.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Get away from it, Hey, we've we've dunked on fair
Play a little bit. I just want to say, hey,
Johnny Fairplay, if you want to come on the show,
I think you're welcome on the show.

Speaker 5 (16:44):
He would be welcome on the show. I would hang
out with fair Play, you know.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Yeah, I mean he could come to your house. You
guys about that.

Speaker 5 (16:52):
Yeah, just making fair Play my address.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
It give Lizzie to the grandparents and then have fair
Play come over. You don't want fair Play around the baby.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
Yeah, my parents will be like, hey, what's happening? Why
are we watching you know your daughter it. I'll be like, well,
it's okay, Johnny Fairplay's coming over.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Yeah, Johnny Fairplay brought a keg of beer to our house,
and we don't want to miss year around.

Speaker 5 (17:15):
He said, we can't have any It was weird, but yeah, no,
I mean it's that kind of is true. That Shaheen
like kind of went okay that route a little bit.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Kyle called that one.

Speaker 5 (17:29):
So we'll check that one off the list, Petie, we've
talked about that topic.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
We've got one more thing about the most rightly bottom.
Yeah yeah, this this sanctuary is scraping the bottom of
the barrel. I mean, we all know how lame this
after show was, especially after watching it again.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
I told Johnathan. I was like, it's an after show
that matches the season.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
It was so lame that I looked Kristin has said,
I don't remember if I watched the after show. Did
I fall asleep? And she said, we just stopped it
and I was like, oh okay, And then I watched
the rest of it and I was like, I still
feel like I didn't.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Watch it after Yeah. No, I when I texted y'all earlier,
I didn't watch it until like seven o'clock today. I
didn't rewatch it. And when I said that I didn't
remember any of it, I meant it and I watched
the whole thing, but I was like in the chat
and I was still processing, kind of like Kyle. I
was processing his win and I wasn't ready to be
like Pizza's champagne time.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (18:26):
The thing that's sticking out to me, and we'll see
if I've got the same thing that's on your notes PD. Okay,
so this is almost like our game for the day.
I want to talk about David. Is that what your
last note is?

Speaker 1 (18:39):
No, I have there.

Speaker 5 (18:41):
There's two things with David. Okay.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
I I was gonna I thought you were going to
keep talking. Sorry, okay. So I just wrote down milk, milk,
milk because that's what Jeff said when he was introing it.
And I need to clip that so we can just
have that to play sometimes Jeff going milk, milk, milk,
and then Jeff brings out some milk.

Speaker 5 (19:03):
He does bring out some milk. I when he said milk, milk,
milk like that, it made me think of that Pete
Davidson thing that went around where he's like bacon, bacon,
bacon when he was doing like a zoom interview. Anyway,
that's that's just the.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
First thing I think about my bet, Like two people
are gonna know what you're talking about.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
Yeah, Like I'll explain it very quickly for you and
then I'll send it to you. Pet There is a
moment where Pete Davidson's being interviewed via zoom and then
his zoom locks up right like he's frozen. So the
interviewer is just like, hey, Pete, are you there? And
then it like unfreezes suddenly and all he's doing is

(19:44):
like eating a piece of bacon and pieces bacon, bacon, bacon,
and that's it.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
So, oh, that was worth it for the podcast. I
think that was worth it. This is the off season,
baby charge.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
So the other part of the milk thing was that
even says that if you want to be masculine, you
have to drink it with your elbow at a ninety
degree angle.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
That's like, yeah, I would love to get y'all thoughts
on that.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
As men, I hate him all over again. I was
starting to like him again and now I'm like, I
don't want to listen to anything else. He says.

Speaker 5 (20:18):
It was more confusing because I was like, is it
just milk that you have to drink at a ninety
degree angle or is it everything?

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Is that? Like that's a lot of stress on your
elbow over time, right, I don't want to be doing
this all day?

Speaker 7 (20:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (20:34):
Yeah, he's a stunt man for a reason. He probably
goes in and like lifts his elbow a little bit more.
For everybody when they don't want to do it.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
I guess like having the elbow at a ninety degree
angle does create more intensity. That kind of goes with
David's whole personality, Like I can like picture someone in
a movie, just like you know, down in a glass
of mine.

Speaker 5 (20:54):
I just find it a low contradictory that David is like, Hey,
if you want to drink this food made for babies
like a man, you gotta put your elbow at ninety degrees.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
Well, I just think, like, what's he seems to imply
that there's something wrong with drinking it at a forty
five degree angle because it's feminine. So why is it
wrong to drink milk in a feminine way?

Speaker 5 (21:16):
Then? If that's yeah, so what what if my arm's tired? David?

Speaker 2 (21:20):
Yeah, day spot about it?

Speaker 1 (21:23):
You know what if I want to embrace my feminine
energy when I'm drinking my two percent milk?

Speaker 5 (21:28):
Yeah, I mean or your orange juice, your pulling?

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Yes, Oh, I need to say something about that. My
dad sent me a text that says, don't become an
alcoholic because my dad listens to all the shows, so
he thought he thought my mini bottle of Tito's bit
about Camilla, He thought Camilla losing the season really sent
me in those and then.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Could be the start of your downward spiral.

Speaker 5 (21:50):
Just uh, it's like I texted you right after you
sent that to me, and since your dad's listening, I'll
tell him right now. So all I'm saying is that
my complete teetotaling cancels yours out if you do get
too drunk PD.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
Yeah. Which, the other funny part about that bit is
I took two SIPs, Brand took one sip, and then
I dumped the rest out in brand sink.

Speaker 5 (22:16):
So some would say the one that really partied that night.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Yeah, all right, let's talk about this riveting after show guys.
I got another thing here. So Joe said, Mitch is
the most likely to throw the first Watch party because
because Mitch is humble, but there's a wild badger underneath

(22:40):
those joints.

Speaker 5 (22:41):
I do remember him saying that, Yeah that was Now
can we confirm did Mitch have the first Watch party?

Speaker 1 (22:49):
I have no idea. I doubt it, but I think
Mitch did them locally every week, so I think they all.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
Good for him. Yeah that's awesome, what a fun thing
to do. Yeah, we didn't get an invite, but maybe
maybe in the future.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
We didn't, you know, we we know. I mean, we're
not going to put anyone on blast, but there's this
one after party around us that we really would have
wanted to be at.

Speaker 5 (23:12):
Yeah, Sam, I mean it would have been pretty cool
and we could have maybe gotten an exam and check
up while we were there.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Yeah, that's true. I could have played some mini golf
and some acts throw.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
Whoa, hey, dude, I to ax throw and play mini
golf with Cedric. Dude, that'd be pretty fun.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Scared my life.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Oh yeah, I mean that's true, But I mean.

Speaker 5 (23:34):
A foot in front of him.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
You know, do we want to be around Cedric with
axes when we kind of antagonized him a little bit
on our show?

Speaker 5 (23:40):
We did, We did, And I antagonized him a little
bit in the group chat today because I texted and
said I was looking at follower counts for people on
the season, just to see what people were getting really like,
who people were getting really excited for. Pretty Much everyone
had over i'll say twelve thousand followers, but it went
on up to like hundred plus. Cedric had five thousand follow.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
I think is a shame because cedric jury updates are hilarious.

Speaker 5 (24:08):
His were great. See, I was a little surprised when
I went and saw it because I was like, I
feel like there was a lot of talk around Cedric
and he also was updating people.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
Can I say something very controversial? Maybe, I don't know
if he.

Speaker 5 (24:22):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (24:23):
I think if I could pick somebody from this cast
to be on fifty, a guy, a guy from this cast,
I'll be more specific, I would pick Cedric.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
I think I want to hear more about that.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
I think he's the most personable and he would be
a good time to watch. Now he said.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
The most personable.

Speaker 5 (24:44):
He's definitely more of the personality that I would want to.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
See because like he gave it his all and is
all wasn't great, but it made for some really good TV.

Speaker 5 (24:53):
Yeah, give him a second shot, you know, it's true.
I think we.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Yeah, I worry, maybe bring Thomas back before Cedric, but
I would like to see Cedric play again.

Speaker 5 (25:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
Yeah, I think in some ways Cedric probably just he
didn't get like a good shot at it for some reason.
You know, it just just never seemed like it was working.

Speaker 5 (25:13):
Out for it. We struggle. Yeah, he just I admire
how much he like attempted things and he just he
did not give up.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
So in the first part of the game he did
pretty good socially to where he somehow was the decision
maker all the time.

Speaker 5 (25:29):
So I forgot it feels like a long season somehow.
I'm like, that feels like last year that happened and.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
He made it to the jury.

Speaker 5 (25:37):
Now, second thing I want to bring up, or not
a second thing. We've brought up more than yeah, but
we'll call it. One of the second things is David.
You know, he did his whole knock knock joke and
everybody was like okay, and Jeff kind of addressed it
that even he was looking over for David and David's

(26:00):
mewing his face and he was kind of like, what's
with this guy? Like he needs to get over it.
Did you hear him say that?

Speaker 1 (26:07):
Yeah, Which that brings me to that means one of
my predictions was correct. Yeah, revisit all those predictions we made,
because I.

Speaker 5 (26:13):
Don't wait, what was your prediction?

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Prediction was somebody was gonna do something that made Jeff annoyed?

Speaker 5 (26:23):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's good.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Checked off the ones.

Speaker 5 (26:28):
He there are some that I don't remember.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
We called it a shot in the dark challenge, and
then we forgot all about it.

Speaker 5 (26:37):
I did not get the one right about Chrissy getting
a letter from a loved one. And then there's, like
I said, there's just some others. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
You had the zero vote finalist one that nobody would
be a zero vote find.

Speaker 5 (26:49):
There would nailed that one. There's something where it says
Eva betrays an like a girl's alliance. I don't think
there was one that she went.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
Against because there there was no formal girls.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
Along that was never like outside of her alliance with Joe.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
Yeah, gosh, like if I did the all female draft
and there was no female alliance this season.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
If he's like me, there's too many people drinking with
ninety degree elbows out there all the islands this season.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Yeah, I think so so degree angles. I have a note.
I have one more note on the after show. I
think maybe I have a had more. But how is
a good question, Eva said hammock. Again. I felt like
that was worth noting.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
I actually asked Jonathan after we heard it for the
second time.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Google it. This is a sanctuary. We can you know
we can get out lost in a rabbit?

Speaker 5 (27:43):
Oh tell you what. Let me pull up Google.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Wait, she's from Minnesota, right, yeah, really a Minnesota. Yeah,
I'm typing in hammock pronunciation Minnesota.

Speaker 5 (27:56):
I'm going to play it into the microphone. Okay. Uh,
here's what. First of all, Google says it's supposed to
be hammock.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Okay, yeah, yep, And then type in hammick pronunciation Minnesota.
See if you can get anything.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
Then this is the British pronunciation.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Okay, we'll hear that hammock. Okay, sounds the same, pretty
much the same.

Speaker 5 (28:21):
Yeah, and then you said Minnesota. Uh, there's a whole
reddit thread here.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Oh, I found a Reddit thread. I'm on the reddit
thread right now. It's a very long post basically saying,
how do you pronounce the word hammock? I've lived all
over the world, Bibe originally from Madison, Wisconsin. I say
a variety of the generic Wisconsin pronunciations, but the one
that gets me the weirdest look is how I pronounce hammock.
It goes on. So one person responded and said, hold.

Speaker 5 (28:54):
Up, Kristin, I think my Reddit thread's better than yours.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
No, no, I just saw the christ Cook.

Speaker 5 (29:00):
I can't believe this.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Okay, One person responded and said, I lived all over
the country. Everywhere else is hammock. Only in Wisconsin do
I ever hear hammock? And I always at first think
they're saying ham hak.

Speaker 5 (29:14):
Oh okay, that's real Southern Yeah. Yeah, I'm in the
reddit hammock's thread. Okay. And someone said, so while I
have you all here, how do you say hammock or
how do you pronounce hammock? Leave, how you pronounce it phonetically?
And where you are from? I pronounced it ham as

(29:34):
in the meat and mock as in taunting someone, So hammock.
So I'm from Pencil. They say, I'm from Pennsylvania. So
this disproves Christen's state where they said, I've only heard
it here, right.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
Well, I was saying, it's like got to be in
that region.

Speaker 5 (29:52):
Yeah. Well, then they said the main reason I'm asking
is because I know in the US I've heard people
say ham mick, hey mick, hey mock, and also hammick.
And then they've got a whole list of people Alabama hammock.
Tennessee agrees, so does Philly, Louisiana hammock like.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
With a hammock. Okay, that's a new one.

Speaker 5 (30:15):
Yeah, hammock. Canada connect. I can't say Canada, Canada hammock.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
And uh we shout out to Canada.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
Yeah, shout out hammock in Florida as well, hammocks.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
I pronounce it hammock.

Speaker 5 (30:32):
And where you're from because of the shame hammock from Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
Okay, it's solved. Found it too bad.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
We solved it before Chase could do a YouTube video
on it.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
Yeah, Chase would have taken three hours, yeah, to solve it.

Speaker 5 (30:49):
This week, I've been trying to figure out why they
keep saying hammock now this episode. When they first started
talking about the hammock, I thought, there's no way they're
talking about hammocks.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
And that brings me to this episode's red herring. If
you didn't know.

Speaker 5 (31:11):
This episode is brought to you by TU you.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Know, hey, but you know Chase is successful. That's the
reason why we have so many things we can mock
because we've all seen them.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
You mick him, Yeah, we mike him.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
Excellent riff, Jonathan. That's why I made you hosts today,
even though I kept bringing up my notes like as
if I was the host.

Speaker 5 (31:32):
Anyway, I'm firing all cylinders last episode we got.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
Yeah, if firing on all cylinders us getting into a
deep dive about Reddit threads about you know, the pronunciation
of hammock.

Speaker 5 (31:45):
I also love that. We just had a conversation with
Chase where we were like, do we ever do an
episode where we just read reddit threads? And he was like,
probably not. What do you think we've just read too?

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Hey, well we needed that information and read it was
a good place to get it.

Speaker 5 (32:00):
Yeah. He's just a hater, you know.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
So anyway, I mean, there's a deleted scene on here.
Do you want to like listen to that and then
get out of here?

Speaker 5 (32:09):
Yeah? Sure.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Well there's two of them. I don't know should we
play both because as they play both of them?

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Yeah, if it sucks, just cut it out. Ok, we'll
just talk about both.

Speaker 5 (32:21):
Yeah all right, I hope first we'll talk about elbows.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
It's not the first one is that I don't want
to make fire. Oh oney, five insane?

Speaker 8 (32:34):
Only one more mark is going up on that tree.

Speaker 5 (32:38):
Is in sane.

Speaker 8 (32:40):
We're almost done.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
This is pretty huge.

Speaker 8 (32:45):
There's today and there's tomorrow and then the game's over.
Like we're so close to the end, but all we
have next is one Final Immunity Challenge stream male, Okay, alrighty,
round and round.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
I could have cut the first thirty six seconds of
the night.

Speaker 5 (33:09):
Yeah, wait a second, what what's that?

Speaker 1 (33:11):
You want to just pretend it starts here?

Speaker 5 (33:14):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (33:15):
All right?

Speaker 8 (33:16):
Round and so it goes anxieties keep growing higher, a
sudden lapse of concentration, and you might be making fire.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
That sounds like something Bonu would say.

Speaker 5 (33:28):
Yeah, it does feel a little Bonu code.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
All right, back to Camilla emotion.

Speaker 8 (33:33):
It's either some emotion or I really hope that I
could pull out this Final Immunity Challenge. It would be
such a relief to be able to know that I'm
guaranteed the final three if I could win that individual
immunity today. And that's all I'm focusing on right now,
just thinking about trying to win the final challenge today.

Speaker 7 (33:56):
Our last challenge, no matter what, this is our last challenge.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
No, just have some freaking fun, guys.

Speaker 6 (34:03):
Yeah, this is how you plead your.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
Case right here.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
Yeah, I don't want to get fired.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
Give it everything you've got. This is this.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
I am so ready. Wait don't I don't want to
get fired.

Speaker 5 (34:14):
To get fired, it really took me out for a second,
I was like, what are we talking about?

Speaker 1 (34:19):
Does she mean I don't want to get put in
the fire and she's just saying it that way to
mean that, or is she saying like I don't want
to get you're fired? You know I don't.

Speaker 5 (34:26):
Yeah, that's like kicked off the show. I think she
meant it fired, right, Like.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
I feel like she meant fired, like get on fire.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Yeah, all right, let's find out.

Speaker 7 (34:35):
Back to Eva this final push, I am ready to rip.
This is the last challenge I get to compete in.
I'm going to put it all on the line. I'm
gonna put my entire body, my heart, everything into this challenge.
I hope that I can pull out a win.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
Today is by far the biggest challenge, biggest stakes, the
largest consequences.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
I love being.

Speaker 5 (34:58):
Right in the pressure picker.

Speaker 6 (35:00):
Winning this challenge is about being a competitor, giving it
your all, pushing yourself to your limits.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
But at the end of the day, I want to steer.

Speaker 6 (35:07):
This game my own way.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Well I can see why that was deleted. Yeah, good
job editors.

Speaker 5 (35:17):
Yeah, the editors. I feel like they made such a
good decision there because I was sitting here thinking, hmm,
this sucks.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Yeah, I'll leave it in this show just so we
can talk about how boring it was. It's like, why
did they even cut that together in the first place.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
I don't know a man another boring part of this season.

Speaker 5 (35:34):
I kind of Yeah, Kristen sounds like the rest of
Reddit right now.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
I did.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
I didn't hate the season. I mean it was like,
you want to different, Yeah, how can I hate when
I'm a winner? But I think there's just a different
approach that this season's cast took, and we don't see
that a lot. So like that and of itself can
be entertaining.

Speaker 5 (35:58):
Yeah, and they and kind of the entertaining people ended
up leaving pretty fast.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
Say and Cedric leaving was a huge.

Speaker 5 (36:06):
Mary leaving was sad.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
You know, Mary made it to the second to last
episode though, so at least she we got like almost
the full run of the show with Mary.

Speaker 5 (36:14):
That's true, That's true.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
I feel like Stephanie who was voted out in the
first tribal.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
Who step Stephanie Berger.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
I don't think she would have been a fun person
to watch.

Speaker 5 (36:26):
I mean I remember she was kind of.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
Like, wasn't she kind of like saber metrics?

Speaker 5 (36:33):
Oh oh, metrics. Yeah, dude, oh I got you now, Okay. Yeah,
I remembered about it as much about Stephanie as I did,
you know, this whole after.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
Show, so well, there wasn't a lot to remember because
it's not like she had a Brandon don Lin ladder moment,
which then who follows us now?

Speaker 5 (36:51):
By the way, yeah, shut up Brandon. You know. Yeah,
I mean this season as a whole. At one point
I told Chris then I felt a little bored and
that I didn't even know how much I cared about
the finale. And now that was several weeks ago, and
then I started carrying a lot and then I watched

(37:11):
the finale and it was just like we've won. That's
how I felt the whole time.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
I felt like I hit rock bottom when Mary got
voted out, because it was like these weeks of they're
not making a move, and then we lose one of
our favorite people on the show.

Speaker 5 (37:23):
Yeah, and you just know that that's kind of the
end of the moves, like it's yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
Plus the way she went out was just kind of like,
there's nothing you can do. It's going to be you.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
Yes, you know. Chase had an epic crash out about it.
At least we got that.

Speaker 5 (37:38):
Yeah, that's true. He had a beautiful eulogy, beautiful sermon, pastor,
is what I.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Told him that. Then he got attacked by bramble Jam
security and thrown down the stairs.

Speaker 5 (37:49):
Oh I forgot about that. Yeah, I didn't know bramble
Jam had that kind of budget happening, you know. But
it was just glad they got him.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
There's one more scene. Are we gonna do it? Or
is it going to be just as boring as we might?

Speaker 5 (38:02):
We might as well this were this episode the most
bored episode that has ever.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
Happened, because we're dedicating a whole episode to the thing
that we were all agreeing is the lamest thing ever.

Speaker 5 (38:14):
The after show, here's what you title this, PD, here's
your title for the Sanctuary episode, the episode to fall
Asleep Too.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
They'll chill podcast to study to.

Speaker 5 (38:31):
Dude, please put low fi music behind the entire episode.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
I might just do it for this section up until
the end of the podcast, but right about now. Yeah,
but I mean the next thing I was going to
do is go into a scene.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
Believe it, play the scene over top of the low five.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
Oh gosh, I don't even know if it'll let me
do that. Let's find out. Yeah, this one's called after
the Fire Making fingers crossed. It's going to be more.

Speaker 5 (39:01):
Interesting cross with something good happens.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (39:10):
I feel like I just walked into the palace.

Speaker 6 (39:13):
Yeah, if I can get it, Oh god, yeah, I
tribal Council. Eva, my friend, the person that I know.
She is a strong competitor that she is. She got
up there and she made fire. I'm so proud of her.

Speaker 5 (39:28):
Crushed the lamest girl. That was the lamest way you
could ever recap anything.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
That was twenty five seconds, dude, twenty five seconds.

Speaker 5 (39:40):
Oh my goodness. Literally just the bare minimum description that
was it. Eva, my friend went up and made fire,
and now and she did it and she's back here.

Speaker 1 (39:56):
I just like, normally I would cut this whole thing
out of the but it's like it fits the thing.

Speaker 5 (40:01):
It's valuable.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
Yeah, this is the podcast about boring stuff, So I'm
gonna get.

Speaker 5 (40:06):
It all in. I love that it's tapping.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
Maybe we should talk about how Jonathan has stubbed his toe.

Speaker 5 (40:18):
Okay, no, no, no, okay, this is this is true, dude, Okay,
this is more interesting. This is just kind of episode.
If you don't really wonder what I'm what kind of
a life I lead, you know, outside of the podcast. Yesterday,
I'm walking up a step and at my parents, and

(40:39):
the cat runs in front of me and my toe
comes down because I was wearing sandals, okay, and my
big toenail gets caught on the stair and pulls up,
and I was like, Okay, that sucks. And then today
I'm in the grocery store. We're in the same sandals,
and I go to walk past my shopping cart and
I stubbed my pinky toenail on the cart and rip

(41:03):
my pinky toenail off, and I could have I could
have lost its.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
Jonathan has no spatial awareness? Is that what it is?

Speaker 5 (41:11):
I don't know what's happened. I've never had something like
that happen before.

Speaker 1 (41:15):
But we've got left on this clip. By the way, Oh,
should play it or should we not play it? Because
why are we talking my feet?

Speaker 2 (41:26):
Interesting?

Speaker 3 (41:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (41:28):
I mean not, everyone's into my feet, you know.

Speaker 1 (41:32):
All right, back to Kyle. Awesome for believing in me.

Speaker 7 (41:39):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (41:40):
Of course I'm in the final three.

Speaker 7 (41:42):
I did it, I made fire, I earned my spot.
It's crazy to think that, after all this time, it's
going to be over and I get to be sitting
up there tomorrow. How crazy is this that you and
I are here together and we stuck by that no

(42:03):
one dared split us apart.

Speaker 4 (42:05):
Eva in front of everybody, all of us watching, she
wont come one of her biggest fears, and despite her challenges,
today she made fire and it was epic, and she's
with us in the final three.

Speaker 1 (42:23):
You know, yeah, yeah, maybe it was. There was there
was definitely more drama with the toenail thing. But what
do you think about everybody stating the obvious over and over.
I mean, usually the deleted scenes were they had funny
stuff in them or there was something interesting to talk about,

(42:43):
but not this.

Speaker 5 (42:45):
I mean, this may just show how truly uneventful over
Like we did our best, you guys. Yeah, the editors
are just like, oh, thank goodness, it was a good episode. Yeah,
it was great, And like, I think there were a
lot of great moments in the season, but I think
that they probably grabbed every great moment that they could

(43:09):
and put it in the episodes.

Speaker 2 (43:11):
Yeah, you know, just like PD does with our podcast.

Speaker 1 (43:14):
Yeah, that's a great point. You have no idea how
much stuff I have to cut out of this. It'll
be like Jonathan going on rants about like it's like,
oh my brain, chick fil a contract and you know
all this all.

Speaker 5 (43:27):
This wow pd wow, you know, but you know, you
put me in charge of this episode, and.

Speaker 1 (43:37):
There was a minute left on this clip. By the way,
we're still going.

Speaker 5 (43:42):
You put me in charge of this episode. And it
feels like sabotage, you said, chopping in charge. By the way,
this is gonna go down. It's the worst episode.

Speaker 1 (43:51):
Of the same Was there a plan going into it? Maybe?
Did it work exactly how I wanted it to?

Speaker 5 (43:59):
Yes, I'll take it. You know, I'm just clearing part
of something.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
Back to Joe or whoever.

Speaker 3 (44:07):
I'm gonna be fissed to you guys. If you want
all smiles tomorrow, because you know.

Speaker 1 (44:10):
What, oh yeah, even when someone's throwing hate, all smiles off.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
You want to know why they were sitting in victory lane.

Speaker 5 (44:16):
Yeah, we want.

Speaker 6 (44:17):
I mean we we we nobody stuffed out towards here.

Speaker 3 (44:20):
We definitely won. That's just a phrase.

Speaker 1 (44:23):

At the end of the day, I've always said this.
I remember sitting at home Dad, I could just get
that jury. Yeah, you really can't lose, because what's the
different when voted out? You're just not voted in.

Speaker 6 (45:10):
Our torches are not getting something ever, never getting, never
got it comes to going into a jury tomorrow is
going to be hard.

Speaker 4 (45:19):
But I really feel the three of us deserve to
be here. So I just told them, head up, chin up,
and you smile. You smile right at them. You know
what they can't take is what we just did.

Speaker 1 (45:31):
So forty more seconds or thirty six more seconds.

Speaker 5 (45:36):
Try not to die. Challenge to be a millionaire.

Speaker 1 (45:40):
Yeah, that's crazy, crazy.

Speaker 7 (45:44):
I earned my place in the final three, and I
go back. He convince that jury that I deserve to
be here too, and I hope that I convinced.

Speaker 8 (45:53):
