they were supposed to do some sort of bit, but

I felt like that today because I realized we were recording.

fun one, ladies and gentlemen. Let's hear the nominees for
the Making the Merge Villain Award. Who is the villain
of Season forty eight?

Yeah, I'll be the puppet master, I'll decide who gets

was repeatedly say how much she wants to run I

Shaheen had an idol and that he shot it to
her with the beads because she wasn't really believing Kyle,
and that was really the move that flipped the game
in Kyle and Camilla's favor and then ultimately Kyle's favor.
But Camilla put it in motion, so I'm gonna give
the nomination to her.

Nice Jonathan, let's hear yours. I'm so torn between two
right now because I had two options. But I find
that Camilla giving the nod to Kyle about their move
in tribal is probably the biggest thing to happen in
the season because our boy wasn't gonna say anything as

of the season. But I think it's kind of forgotten
because it was early on. Mary successfully using her shop
totally would have changed the game. If she had gone

So exactly, I feel like there's one moment that I
almost said that I feel like I'm kind of surprised
not enough y'all said, which is it's kind of one person,

time to think about this. I I think that most people,

obvious when it comes to they shouldn't have done and
even split of all their new era like it was
a it was dumb. They shouldn't have done it, but

they have, and so with what we have, I think
it's a relatively good cast. If you are gonna do
a fifty to fifty split new era old era, I
think it's a pretty good cast for what that is.
Do I understand the frustration of people being like, hey,
this is supposed to be a celebration of the last

fifty years, and for some reason we have twelve people
from the past four years. Yeah, the frustration is valid,
but five years total, not fifty. Ye, yes, sorry, fifty

with what they decided to do with the split down
the middle, it's a it's a pretty darn good cast
of what that could be. So I'm gonna choose not
to get super frustrated by the fact that they did
that and just look at what they did with that

I'm a little confused that nobody from any of the
twenties seasons are in it.

have bringing back are people that have played multiple times.
They're no longer interested in fifty, and so I think

you might lose a lot of the people that have
maybe given up on Survivor because for various reasons, and
they see that there's twelve people from the last few
seasons and go ah, I'm not interesting.

say I'm not watching that, and then the curiosity happens. Yeah,
and we got to end up watching it anyway.

missed a pretty big one, one of the biggest moments
of the season. But I think it's kind of forgotten
because it was early on. Mary successfully using her shop
totally would have changed the game. If she had gone

even split of all their new era like it was

it's a relatively good cast. If you are gonna do
a fifty to fifty split new era old era, I
think it's a pretty good cast for what that is.
Do I understand the frustration of people being like, hey,
this is supposed to be a celebration of the last

from the past four years. Yeah, the frustration is valid,

To what Jonathan said, though, I have talked to a
couple of people that were diehard survivor fans that have
kind of given up during the New Era that we're
intrigued by fifty and after seeing that it's a fifty
to fifty split, and a lot of people that they
have bringing back are people that have played multiple times.
They're no longer interested in fifty, and so I think
(48:16):
you might lose a lot of the people that have
maybe given up on Survivor because for various reasons, and
they see that there's twelve people from the last few
seasons and go ah, I'm not interesting.
Speaker 2 (48:27):
Yeah, but let's be real. A lot of times people
say I'm not watching that, and then the curiosity happens. Yeah,
and we got to end up watching it anyway.
Speaker 11 (48:37):
Yeah.

That was my big thing.
Speaker 3 (48:38):
Is like, you know, they we we had winners at
war five years ago, ten seasons ago, and that's kind
of the classic, like, hey you this is all the
winners that we could fit. I forgot about them, and
so you know, it's only been five years, it's ten
seasons later. I understand wanting to be a celebration of
every era, but we also need to create new stars.

You know, a lot of these Survivor legends were not
popular or as popular as they become until their second.
Speaker 2 (49:09):
Or third time playing.
Speaker 3 (49:10):
So we got to bring people back. And that's why
Joe Man, he's going to be the stars fifty.

There were a couple of snubs like Sean should have
been on this season.
Speaker 2 (49:21):
Absolutely for sure, for sure. Although there are people that
I'm really excited to see though. Charlie was one of
them that I was extremely excited they brought back, and
then Aubrey.

I was really excited about all three players from David
and Goliath too.
Speaker 2 (49:37):
I believe I was very excited to see what she
does in the second season. And you know who I
care very little about.
Speaker 3 (49:44):

But with the amount of milk that I drink, Chase,
and I need you to stop looking at me like this,
he's judges With the amount of milk that I drink,
it just it was doing a number on me and
so I had to I had to switch to fair life,
which I can't really tell a different.

I'm gonna tell you right now, only human beings. What
what percentage of the population is lactose intolerant?

How bad does it get before a lot of people
start thinking, Hey, maybe we're not supposed to be drinking this.

Yeah, if everyone's.

Allergic to it, I'm gonna start wearing poison ivy jackets
and be like, yeah, it really irritates me, but I
power through it.
Speaker 6 (52:02):
I'm not allergic to poison ivy, so shut Anyways, he
had a dominant alliance and see. The key to her
taking it all the way to the end but still
winning at final tribal was that she was able to
really she's able to bring in a lot of different
people at different times.
