Today we're learning aboutanother fruit of the Spirit.
Last week we learned about thefruit of the Spirit, love, crew
Pearl.
Can you remind us what thefruit of the Spirit is?

It's fruit from Jesus .

Speaker 3 (01:37):
That's right, Crew Pearl.
The fruits of the Spirit growinside of us when we follow
Jesus.
They help us look more and morelike Jesus every day.
Today's fruit is one that makesus smile.
Want to guess what?

it is, you feel it when you're laughing.
Doesn't go away if things arehard.
It starts with the letter JGood job.
It starts with the letter J J,good job.

On the count of three, let'ssay what we think the fruit of
the spirit is today.
One, two, three Joy, that'sright.

Joy is the second fruit of theSpirit, and joy is deeper than
happiness.
Yes, in the Bible, paul andSilas had joy, even in a tough
situation.
Do you want to hear about it?
Okay, so Paul and Silas were injail, not for doing something
bad, like bad guys, no, but fortelling other people about Jesus

Even while sitting on the coldfloor behind the bars, they sang
songs of praise to God.
Their hearts were full of joy.
They were happy.
In jail.
They weren't happy, but theywere joyful.
Joy is when we trust Jesus andknow that he is with us, even

when things aren't perfect.
Then something amazing happened.
Paul and Silas were sitting injail and all of a sudden, the
ground shook, the chains broke.
The chains broke and the jaildoors they flew open.

Their joy didn't just help them, it changed lives.
So let's think about a time whenyou could choose joy.
Imagine you're playing yourfavorite game, let's pretend
like it's soccer, and, oh no,our team loses.

Oh man, yeah, that can feel sodisappointing, oh man.
But then your friend gives youa big high five and says that
was so fun, let's play again.
You remember, even if I didn'twin, jesus loves me, no matter
what.
That's called joy.
You know what Crew Pearl'sfavorite song has the word joy
