Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello everyone, and
today's topic or title.
It is actually something toreflect on and observe in your
own life, to live a life of moreawareness, given in the form of
(00:24):
a question can something bad begood?
And can something good be badsometimes, and actually it can,
depending, of course, on ourperspective and whether we're
looking at it from a broadperspective and with some deeper
(00:49):
wisdom.
Looking at my own lifedifficult in between brackets,
difficult situations orcomplicated situations, or
sometimes even conflictingpersonalities, relationships
(01:12):
they actually made me, at thevery least, take a break and
reflect on myself, reflect onmyself, and many times actually,
those situations pushed me toreach higher, to reach further,
(01:38):
to reach deeper or to bring outcertain skills or abilities or
cultivate them.
Those type of situations helpedme grow and ultimately made me
better in the general sense.
So were those situations bad?
Was it a bad thing?
If I look at it at the moment,I don't like it.
(02:02):
I don't feel this is nice andgood, but in the long run,
feelings of gratitude come orthe feeling that it was a
blessing in disguise.
This is a nice phrase that isbeing used.
These are blessings in disguise, and it is because we have not
(02:27):
trained ourselves to see thingswith a broader view.
We are not raised to thinkabout things and situations and
people in terms of their past, the present and the future.
Everything has a past andeverything has a future.
(02:53):
And so if we judge things, judge situations, based on only
the present time and the presentscene, we are limiting
ourselves.
And so sometimes it is evensuch that things that are good,
(03:13):
we like it, we want it, we do it, but in the long run it gives
us a headache.
In the long run it turns out tobe not so good.
And so to just reflect on thisa bit more and try and apply it
(03:35):
in your everyday interactions, everyday scenes that come into
your life, let us aim to seewith that broader vision, and
(03:56):
just maybe you might see thatsomething that may appear to be
bad is not so bad.
And, like I said, observing myown life and life situations and
interactions, own life and lifesituations and interactions
something difficult comes toprepare you for something bigger
, something more vast, somethingmore beautiful, something
(04:16):
deeper.
And once you start looking atlife like that, you can
appreciate everything andeveryone in our own way Doesn't
mean you are close friends witheveryone, but there is a deeper
appreciation and respect forevery scene in this drama of
(04:38):
life, and for everyone's part.
So let's take a few moments andremind ourselves of our innate
nature and our spiritualidentity so that, in a relaxed
(04:59):
way, we can approach the scenesand the drama of life with that
attitude of learning andappreciating instead of fighting
and resisting or sulking.
So, as always, while keeping thebody relaxed, while keeping the
(05:24):
body comfortable, reminding theself of our existence at a
non-physical level, beings,timeless, conscious, living,
(06:10):
lights, invisible experiencers.
And the body is the packaging, the vehicle for the invisible
soul.
And just try and wrap your mindaround this and try and hold
(06:31):
that sense of self and that ofbeing this invisible experiencer
(06:51):
, like an invisible presenceoperating this body from the
center of the forehead.
The soul, body from the centerof the forehead.
(07:21):
The soul using the image of atiny star as a symbol for the
being of consciousness.
The soul, that is the real self.
(07:42):
Body is just the mask.
Just try and see what thatfeels like.
The real self is just thistimeless, innocent serene.
(08:03):
Being of light as opposed tobody, and being of light as
opposed to body and mortal humanpersonality.
That is all acquired.
The real self is this eternal, refined, a godlike being, a soul
(08:39):
who transcends the limitationsof the body, transcends the
limitations of this humanpersonality, who transcends the
(09:01):
limitations of this game, theinnate self.
And more and more we grasp thisawareness of self as a
(09:24):
spiritual being, this spiritualidentity, more everything else
is seen as extra.
The physical world, the storyof humanity is an extra
(09:50):
experience free, lovely, serene, being of light.
(10:26):
Everything that takes us awayfrom this awareness is what we
could qualify as bad In betweenbrackets, bad.
Everything that pulls us awayfrom this awareness is not
(10:56):
useful, even though it might beexciting at a gross level, even
though it might be promisingsome pleasure.
But if it pulls us away fromour spiritual identity and a
deeper sense of secure, refinedfeelings, it's not useful.
(12:11):
Let's just stay for a fewmoments in these feelings and
this, maybe, mental image, if ithelps secure peaceful living
light, and you also remindyourself that everyone else is
also this behind their physicalappearance and their human
(12:39):
personality, there is the realperson, the real being, the soul
, my brother, the soul, mybrother, whatever the color of
the skin, whatever the position, whatever the ethnicity and the
(13:00):
culture and social status oreducation, that's all human.
Behind there, the being is mybrother, the soul, beyond gender
, beyond physical form, and justfor a few moments, hold this
(13:47):
awareness and these feelings andthis image of tiny living light
, with some extra focus on theawareness that this is the real
self, soul, soul.
And as we go through the restof the day, hold this awareness,
(14:17):
play with it, hold this visionfor everyone else and play with
this thought what may beappearing bad may be actually a
blessing in disguise, and whatmay be appearing good and
pleasurable, be careful theremay be a hook behind.
(14:41):
Thank you and have a good dayand a good rest of the week.
