Can you be honest about what’s really going on in your life without sabotaging your manifestations? In this episode, we explore the subtle tension between authenticity and deliberate creation—especially for neurodivergent thinkers who process deeply and often feel caught between truth-telling and “staying high vibe.” We’ll unpack why staying rooted in the now is your greatest power, how past manifestations don’t define who you are, and why being real doesn’t have to mean being stuck.

Want the tools and language to actually make this work for your neurodivergent mind? Head over to authorrevolution.org/substack and dive into The Deep End, my exclusive podcast for turning these insights into grounded practice.

What if manifestation wasn’t about hustle or high vibes only — but about working with your neurodivergent brain, not against it? Enter Write Your Reality — a quantum, nervous-system-friendly guide (written for authors but 🔥 for ND creators and entrepreneurs, too). We’re launching it through Kickstarter April 14–May 11.

Carissa Andrews (00:08):
Welcome to Manifest Differently, the
podcast for neurodivergentthinkers and anyone looking to
approach manifestation in a waythat truly works for them.
I'm your host, carissa Andrews, here to explore the science,
energy and strategies that willhelp you create the life you
love.
Let's dive in and ManifestDifferently.

(00:35):
Hey guys, welcome back toManifest Differently, the
podcast where we exploremanifestation in a way that
actually works forneurodivergent minds.
I'm your host, carissa Andrews, and today we're going to be
diving into a question that'sbeen rolling around in my head
and maybe in yours too how do Ibe real about what I'm going
through without accidentallymanifesting more of it?

(00:57):
So, if you've ever felt thattension between being authentic
and staying aligned, betweentelling your truth and not
wanting to reinforce a pattern,especially if you're
neurodivergent and you processlife through deep thinking or
looping and meaning making, andyeah, this one's going to be for
you.
But before we begin, let's comeback to the body.

(01:20):
Now, remember, you don't needto fix anything right now.
You don't need to figure it allout.
We're just going to make alittle space, energetically,
mentally, for a new way ofthinking to land.
So I want you to take a deepbreath in, hold it for a moment

(01:45):
and exhale.
Let it go One more time, breathe in and, as you do, just
let yourself arrive in thismoment and exhale.
Let go of the static of the day.
You're allowed to be here.

(02:08):
You're allowed to shift gently.
It's safe to just be here rightnow.
Excellent, let's begin.
So I'll be real with you.
This topic has really beenliving rent-free in my head

(02:29):
lately.
As a content creator, I knowthe value of showing up as
authentically me as possible.
I want to be honest.
I want my audience to feel seen, to resonate, to trust me.
And as a manifestation teacher, well, I want to walk the talk,
right.
I want to share what I know andwhy it works.

(02:49):
But even with all of that, Istill sometimes struggle with
how manifestation works.
For my own neurodivergent mind, the process doesn't always feel
natural or linear and, honestly, that's okay, but it does get
tricky, right?
What finally clicked into placefor me was this, though this
was today the intersectionbetween authenticity and

(03:10):
conscious manifestation.
That concept was playing at theback of my mind this morning
and I realized that thatintersection that I've been
trying to figure out, it justexists in the now, right here,
this moment, because the momentthat we're in, right now, it's
the only moment that ever hasany creative power.

(03:32):
Everything else the pastpatterns, old habits, previous
results that's all the residualenergy from previous us, right?
The old news when you observewhat's happening in your current
reality, yes, you're allowed tosee it, but you don't have to
identify with it.
It doesn't have to mean anything.

(03:52):
You can witness it withoutreinforcing it.
Now, that's magic.
Joe Dispenza often talks aboutthis as breaking the habit of
being yourself, and if youhaven't read the book by that
title, I highly suggest you do.
It's so good, but in essence, you stop acting like the old
version of you who created thecurrent situation, and you start

(04:14):
being the version of you whocreates something new, right?
So the real shift is thisYou're not lying when you speak
positively about your life, you're declaring the new reality
into existence.
Now, that's not delusional.
It's design, deliberatecreation, right?
So let's talk about the oldparadigm.

(04:35):
A lot of us learn this fromabraham hicks and similar
teachers, and, hey, there's alot of truth in it.
I love the concept of it and Iget it.
The idea is this don't talkabout your problems.
Don't focus on the stuff that'sgoing wrong, because that focus
just keeps you aligned with it.
Focus on the stuff that's goingwrong, because that focus just
keeps you aligned with it.
And, in theory, yes, what youfocus on does expand.
If you keep saying I'm broke,I'm overwhelmed, nothing's

(05:03):
working, you're reinforcing thatenergetic loop and you stay
stuck in that frame of mind, right, but here's where it gets
sticky, especially for those ofus who are neurodivergent.
Sometimes we need to talk itout, we need to name it in order
to move through it, and beingjust told to think positive can
sometimes feel like we'regaslighting ourselves.
It can feel fake.
So what happens?

(05:24):
We feel stuck between twodifferent opposite poles.
Be honest and risk reinforcingthe struggle, which obviously we
don't want, or stay positiveand feel like we're faking it,
or creating this discord betweenwhat we think we want and what
we know we have.
Neither of those are greatoptions on their own, but that's

(05:45):
where the reframe comes in.
So here's the shift that I wantto offer to you and I want you
to think about this week.
You're not being fake whensomeone asks you how's it going
and you say it's going great, even when reality around you is
telling you the opposite.
You're just being deliberate.

(06:05):
Okay, because the financialstress, the relationship
friction, that career stucknessthat's not who you are.
It's who you were.
Okay, it's the echo of a pastversion of you, one who is
acting from older beliefs, habits, wounds, fears, and all

(06:25):
of that created momentum.
That's what you're seeing playout right now.
But here's the deal you, rightnow, are not that person anymore
.
In this moment, you'redifferent, you're more aware,
you're choosing differently.
So when you speak as if thingsare working out, you're not
denying the past, you'rechoosing the frequency of the

(06:48):
future.
You're not pretending, you'repivoting, and that's what it
means to manifest differently.
Now I want to speak directly tothe neurodivergent creators here
, because this is so, soimportant.
Our brains are wired to scanfor patterns.
We often process life deeply,so we see the contradictions, we

(07:09):
question everything.
We don't just swallow someoneelse's method.
We need to take it and make itmake sense, and part of how we
process this is through language.
We name things, we loop things,we analyze, we narrate, and
that's not a flaw, it'sdefinitely, definitely a
strength.
But if we keep telling the samestory from the same place,

(07:33):
we're reinforcing those neuralpathways.
That's not just energetic, it'sbrain science.
We're wiring ourselves into theold identity.
So we need to find a way totell the truth without repeating
the frequency of the past.
Instead, we can say things likethat was true for me then, but
now I'm shifting into, or thisused to be my pattern, but I'm

(07:56):
choosing something different.
Authenticity isn't just aboutconfessing your current
limitations.
It's about being honest aboutwhere you've been and bold about
where you're going.
You don't have to stay in theold identity to be real, and I
think that's really been a bigpart of my understanding trying

(08:16):
to figure out how much do youshare when you're trying to be
authentic, when things aren'tworking the way that you want or
you're seeing different resultsthan what you were intending
right?
The truth is, though, we arejust not that person anymore.
We are choosing from a new, higher elevated place, so you
are not that person.
You don't have to identify withit.

(08:38):
It doesn't have to meananything other than you can
observe it and go oh, my energywas there, and now I'm choosing
to be somewhere else.
Okay, so if all of this islighting you up and you're
thinking, yes, this makes totalsense, but how do I do this in
real time?
Don't worry, I've got you.

(08:58):
Or, in the deep end, my privateSubstack podcast, which is a
part of Manifest, differently,I'm sharing the practical side
of this episode.
Okay, these are tools you canuse Language shifts that don't
feel fake scripts, prompts,neurodivergent, friendly
affirmations.
We're going deep into how totalk about your life without
reinforcing those old patterns.

(09:19):
Use transitional language thatfeels real and shift your
identity without pretending.
So you can listen now byheading over to
manifestdifferentlycom forwardslash substack.
Or if you go tomanifestdifferentlycom forward
slash 13,.
I'll also drop the link in thisepisode description below right
into the show notes, because Ifind it's super, super important

(09:42):
for those of us who are in thisplace who want to think deeply
about manifestation and look atthe way all the teachers are
saying the same things, butsometimes, like with this,
there's just that little bit ofdisconnect.
We need to find a way to bridgethe gap, to make it make sense,
and so that's what this episodeis all about today.
So thank you so much forhanging out, for listening to

(10:05):
this kind of deep conversation.
Remember, being honest doesn'tmean being stuck or continuing
to stay stuck.
You can tell the truth andstill tell a new story at the
same time, and every time you do, you're creating space for
something completely new tounfold.
Okay, you have the power tocreate your reality.

(10:28):
So go out there and manifestdifferently.
