I'm your host, carissa Andrews, here to explore the science,
energy and strategies that willhelp you create the life you
love.
Let's dive in and ManifestDifferently.

(00:34):
Welcome back to the ManifestDifferently podcast.
I'm Carissa Andrews, your guideto unlocking your unique
manifestation powers as aneurodivergent creator.
Today, I'm diving into one ofthe more powerful tools in my
manifestation toolbox the mindmovie.
Now, this isn't just aboutvisualization.
It's about rewiring your brain, aligning your energy and

(00:58):
stepping into the life you want.
And here's the kicker it'seasier to create than you might
think.
Mind movies changed how Iapproach manifestation entirely,
and I've watched them do thesame for my students as well.
By the end of this episode, you'll understand why they're so
effective, how to create yourown and how to use them to
unlock your highest potential.

(01:19):
Plus, I'll tell you how you canjoin me next week to create
your very own mind movie duringmy live Future Self Blueprint
5-Day Manifestation Challenge.
Before we dive in, though, let'sset an intention for this
episode.
Take a moment, breathe andfocus on this thought.
I am ready to step into theenergy of my future self.

(01:44):
Feel into that for a second.
What does he or she feel like?
What's the vibe there?
Pretty awesome, right?
Okay, let's get started.
I want you to pause for a quickenergy reset, just to ground in

(02:09):
the present moment.
Okay, I want you to close youreyes if it's safe to do so.
If you're driving, probably not.
Imagine standing in a quiet, open space.
Imagine standing in a quiet, open space.
In the distance you see aglowing figure.
It's your future self.

(02:34):
They're radiating confidence,peace and abundance.
Walk toward them, feeling theirenergy, and notice how they
smile at you.
They're proud of the workyou're doing today to align with

(02:57):
this version of yourself.
Take one deep breath in throughyour nose, hold it and exhale
slowly.
Keep this image in your mind aswe talk about how to bring it

(03:22):
to life.
Mind movies came into my lifeyears ago when I first stumbled
across Natalie Ledwell, theircreator.
She was talking about usingvisualization tools to align
with your goals and I lovedmeditations.
I loved new age, everything atthe time, and I thought it
sounded intriguing.
So I subscribed to hernewsletter, followed her on
social media and even tried anumber of her meditations.
But to be honest, I didn't takethe leap into actually making a

(03:44):
mind movie at that time.
I think a part of it was for me.
I didn't overly enjoy the mindmovies she was creating, which
is kind of dorky Like.
When I look back, I'm like Idon't have to create things the
same way she did.
But I think there was aperfectionist part of me.
It was.
I was much younger right at thetime, and so perfectionism was
a thing that I was still workingthrough, and, as a previous

(04:07):
graphic designer, I had alreadygone to graphic design school.
I was looking at the moviesthat she was outputting and I
was like those are kind ofhideous, and it didn't occur to
me just how powerful the toolitself was, let alone, you know,
letting go of some of thethings right.
So it wasn't until I discoveredJoe Dispenza that I realized
how powerful this tool couldactually be.

(04:29):
So if you're familiar with hiswork, you know he's all about
the intersection of neuroscienceand manifestation.
He emphasizes how visualization, especially with tools like
MindMovies and, yes, he actuallycalls out MindMovies primes the
brain for success.
So at that point, obviously, Icouldn't ignore it anymore, and
this is literally years later.
So I decided to try it formyself, and honestly, I wish I

(04:53):
would have tried it sooner.
The process was so surprisinglysimple.
I used Canva, which isobviously incredibly
user-friendly, and created ashort video with images that
represent my goals, the thingsthat I'm trying to manifest at
any given time, affirmationsthat then resonated with me that
go along with those goals andmusic that gave me goosebumps,

(05:14):
that just really made me feellike I could do anything Right.
It wasn't perfect.
It wasn't as bad as some of thevideos I'd seen from mind
movies way back in the day, butthe first time I watched it,
something shifted right Suddenlymy goals felt real, tangible.
It was just a weird, strangemovement of energy.

(05:35):
I started watching it everymorning right after I woke up
and again right before bed.
Sometimes I would do it aftermeditation, when I knew that my
mind was kind of primed for it.
And within weeks I noticedsmall shifts happening, like I
was seeing things that I wastrying to manifest At the time.
They were smaller things, likeI wanted to manifest a new
refrigerator for our kitchen andI made it happen and I was like

(05:58):
, wow, this is so cool.
And then I tried to manifestmoney to be able to take a
course and that happened.
And the more things startedshowing up, the more confident
and aligned I felt.
And it wasn't just me either.
As I started teaching this, mystudents started using Mind
Movies and experiencing similarresults.
One student her name is Sarah.
She came to me feeling reallystuck in her career and she

(06:21):
created a Mind Movie to focus onfreedom, abundance, joy, you
know all the things that I thinkall of us are really trying to
tap into.
But she made it very specificfor herself.
Like she got very deep intowhat that looked like for her,
and I know that she was tryingto shift out of a corporate job
and do some some author work forherself and she wanted to let
loose and kind of see what itmeant to explore her creative

(06:43):
side.
So within a month she actuallymanifested a new job, which was
very cool.
It paid more and gave her moreflexibility to be able to then
do her writing.
And we worked from that pointforward, after she had this new
job, on her author stuff.
So it opened up so manypossibilities and she's
continued to work on her mindmovies since then, refining them

(07:04):
to get to the point of what shereally wants.
Right, because we have toremember, it's always a work in
motion.
It's always something thatwe're trying to shift towards
and as we gain more knowledge,we can get clearer and clearer
and clearer on what it is thatwe really want, and Sarah's been
definitely one of those people.

(07:24):
Okay so, krista, this is great, but why do mind movies work so
well?
And the answer, like I said it,lies in neuroscience.
Your brain doesn't know thedifference between vividly
imagining something and actuallyexperiencing it.
Weird but true.
When you visualize, you'recreating a neurological
rehearsal for your future, overtime, your brain starts to

(07:46):
accept this vision as realityand your subconscious mind
begins to work to bridge the gap.
Now the subconscious mind iswhere your beliefs, your habits
and all those automaticresponses live.
It's like the operating systemto your brain and it runs 95% of
your thoughts and actions.
But here's the thing it doesn'trespond well to logic or

(08:06):
forceful willpower.
It acts like a petulant toddlerwhen that happens.
So instead, if you want toinfluence it, you do so through
repetition, emotion and imagery.
This is why my movies are sopowerful, because they combine
all three.
The repetition part is youwatching the mind movie daily to
reinforce that vision, right?

(08:27):
So when you watch it in themorning, or right after
meditation or right before bed, you're reinforcing it over and
over and over and you're notallowing your brain to forget
that goal that you want so much.
But it's also not somethingthat you're clinging on to
either, right, you're notclinging to it, you're just
allowing it to get into yoursubconscious mind so that you
know it's yours.

(08:47):
Number two obviously, theemotion part.
When you add music and thoseaffirmations, it triggers an
emotional response in you and ithelps anchor your vision.
And when you're watching themovie, the goal is to really be
focused on how are you feelingwhen that thing occurs, right?
How are you feeling when youknow it's already happened, it's
already yours, it's alreadyhere?

(09:09):
How are you feeling when youknow it's already happened, it's
already yours, it's alreadyhere?
And then the imagery part isall about having those visuals
bypass the analytical mind andspeak directly to the
subconscious, because obviouslywe process visuals so much
faster than we process anythingelse and so when you process the
visual, you are putting it intoyour subconscious mind over and
over and over again andallowing it to become part of

(09:29):
that operating system.
So let's talk about that timing, because it is key and I've
kind of touched on it briefly.
But the best times to watch yourmind movies are number one.
First thing, in the morning, when your brain is still in
theta or it's coming out oftheta slowly, which is highly
suggestible to new ideas.
And we've talked about thetastates in other podcast episodes
.
But just know that that's theprimal spot to be able to get

(09:53):
into your operating system, akayour subconscious mind, and
rewire some things.
Number two right before orright after a meditation, when
your nervous system is calm andopen, and if your meditation is
longer, like you're going tohave definitely tapped into the
theta brainwave state becauseyou would have dropped into that
super calm state.

(10:13):
That's kind of the point ofmeditation.
But if you do it as a solomeditation where you're not
listening to any sort ofguidance, you can do it right
before that too, because thenit's priming your subconscious
mind as you drop in, so similarto sleep.
The third one will make moresense here.
It's right before bed, sosimilar to doing it right before
meditation.

(10:34):
If you do it right before bed,as you're transitioning into
that sleep theta brainwave state, again you're priming your
subconscious for what it's goingto be doing during sleep.
And as you go to sleep you'llfind that often when whatever
you're thinking about whenyou're going to bed, when you're
going into that sleep state,it's what you're thinking about
when you wake up, isn't it?

(10:55):
So if you go to bed thinkingabout what you're manifesting,
what you're creating, whatyou're calling in, your brain
will be working on it during allthe dreaming, all the rewiring,
all the cleaning, whatever, andyou'll wake up still thinking
about what you get to do, howit's going to come, and then you
go straight back intoreinforcing it again by watching
that my movie.
Do you see how awesome that is?

(11:15):
So just a little side note abouttheta brainwaves they're the
sweet spot truly for rewiringyour brain.
They allow you to bypass thatcritical part of the brain and
plant seeds of possibilitydirectly into the subconscious.
So whenever you can, you'regoing to want to be in a theta
brainwave state for this.
If you forget, I'll give you alittle tip, a little hint, a

(11:35):
little thing.
If you forget any of thosetimes you're like dang it, I got
up too quickly, I forgot beforeI went to bed.
Whatever.
I love using binaural beats andI will put them in my airpods
and I will have the noisecanceling stuff going on in my
ears and I will just do binauralbeats at a theta brainwave
state which is 4.0 hertz.

(11:57):
And when you do that and sitquietly for a moment, you can
kind of drop in, just kind ofget into that calm state.
You'll know you're there whenyou kind of feel expansive and
calm but not yet asleep, andwhen you feel like there, when
you kind of feel expansive andcalm but not yet asleep, and
when you feel like that, whenyou get into that state
typically takes anywhere fromtwo to five minutes of sitting
still then watch your video, andyour video is going to be, you

(12:19):
know, anywhere from 30 secondsto three minutes long.
It's not going to be a longvideo.
So, from start to finish, you're looking at maybe 10
minutes of meditation andgetting that into your
subconscious mind, so it's not along process.
All right, so here's a quickbreakdown of how to create your
own mind movie.
If you want visual cues, if youwant to be a part of the

(12:39):
process where I show you what'shappening, how to create it step
by step, you're going to wantto make sure that you get in on
the future self blueprintchallenge that is coming up.
Like I said, next week,february 3rd through the 7th.
If you are listening to thisepisode and it's after that time
frame, there will be replaysgoing out.
I will either be putting it upas a part of the NeuroDivergent

(13:01):
Manifestor brand, so maybe it'llbe in the Kajabi framework for
everything that I do, or it willjust be like a Zoom class.
I haven't decided how it'sgoing to be loaded for everyone
yet, but there will be a replayavailable, okay, all right.
So here's how we do it.
Step one gather inspiration.
So I want you to think aboutwhat you're calling in, what you

(13:21):
want to create right now forthis year.
Okay, what images, affirmationsand music represent your goals?
Gather as much as you can Writethem down.
First, if you need to likewrite down what, what you're
calling in, what it gets to looklike, and then, if you want to
like, literally, you're going tobe thinking about where you're
going to go and find all thoseimages.

(13:43):
So step two is to choose yourtool.
Like I mentioned earlier, Irecommend Canva.
It's free, it's easy to use, perfect for beginners and you
can do everything right there.
Now there are some tools that Iuse.
I do have the pro version, right, so I don't know if there
are some elements that I usethat you don't.
You'll have to play around withit and see how it works for you

(14:04):
, okay.
Step three add your visuals toCanva.
I will have for my students inthis challenge.
I'm going to have a template sothat you can just like find the
images and drop them into thetemplate itself Super easy.
But if you want to, you'regoing to be uploading images
that align with your goals.
Right, you're going to create atemplate for yourself so that

(14:25):
they are all standardized, andso these could be photos, they
could be videos, they could beillustrations, they could be
screenshots, all sorts of things.
Like, all sorts of differenttypes of things.
Then I want you to step fourwrite affirmations about the
thing you're calling in.
What does each one of thoseimages represent?
Okay, it's going to be a bold, positive statement.

(14:46):
Like I am abundant, or I'mliving my dream life.
Or you get specific Like I amso at ease and happy that my
husband and I are living ourretired life finally in peace.
Like you know, whatever.
Like, if it's about yourrefrigerator, I am so excited
and happy that I finally have mybrand new refrigerator in my
kitchen.
Like, just get it as clear aspossible.

(15:06):
And if it makes you feel good, that's all it needs to be.
If you don't know how to writethe positive affirmation about
it, go to chat and just say I'mtrying to do this thing.
I'm creating a mind movie.
I need some really strongpositive affirmations to go with
each of the things that I'mmanifesting.
Here's what they are, and letit create a few for you, okay,
so step five then is selectmusic.

(15:27):
I want you to choose a songthat's going to inspire you and
make you feel unstoppable.
Now, with Canva, it has a wholebunch of music that has like a
really powerful vibe.
That's just music in thebackground.
If there are specific songs thatyou want, like that have music,
you're going to have to findout whether or not the creator
allows you to use them.
So kind of like with TikTok.

(15:48):
Right, there's a set of musicthat is open to being able to be
used for certain things, and ifyou want to be able to bypass
that, if you wanted to add musicto it, I think there are ways
to be able to do that in iMovie, which would make it easier to
create with the specific songyou want.
You know, let's say, you want aTaylor Swift song.
I personally just like havingreally upbeat, like dramatic

(16:11):
music that I don't associatewith anything else, because then
I can just focus on the thingthat I'm manifesting and it
works better for me.
All right, so?
So step six edit and then export.
Right, you're going to arrangeeverything into the short,
engaging videos and you're goingto keep it under five minutes
so that you can watch it everysingle day.
Mine, like I said, I'm callingin a lot of things.

(16:32):
Mine is only like a minute anda half, so it's very fast, okay.
So here's your manifestdifferently minute.
I want you today to take thefirst step toward creating your
mind movie by brainstorming yourgoals, jot down your
affirmations, find those images, think about a song that
inspires you, or play around onCanva to see if you can find one

(16:53):
.
Even this small step will shiftyour energy toward alignment
and toward your goals, becauseit's signaling to your brain, to
your subconscious, to theuniverse, that you're working on
something new.
Okay, all right, guys.
To wrap up, mind movies are anincredible way to align your

(17:14):
mind, body and energy with yourfuture self.
