(02:53):
intentionally manifesting andengaging with reality and
inspire each other.
So, about today, I want to saywelcome back, my fellow
manifesters.
This is another exciting episodeof Manifest the Big Stuff.
We are taking a deep dive todayinto a manifesting technique

(03:15):
that will revolutionize the wayyou approach your goals and
desires.
Get ready to make your very ownboard of directors.
Now you might be thinking whaton earth is a board of directors
and what does that have to dowith manifesting or engaging
more intentionally with reality?

(03:35):
I hope it sounds intriguing.
Well, hold on tight, becausethis technique can be a game
changer.
Picture this you have somethingyou want to manifest.
You have a dream, a goal, adesire, and it's in one of the
most important parts of yourlife, be it love, health, family

(03:58):
or wealth or any other.
You could talk to someone aboutit like a friend or family
member right, absolutely, andthey can be great listeners and
offer support.
But we're talking aboutsomething different here.
We're talking about a smallround table of mentors who have

(04:22):
been there and done thatregarding what you want to
achieve.
These are individuals who knowwhat they're talking about
because they've lived it andthey're living it right now.
They are not just giving youadvice from a distance.
They're in the trenches withyou, guiding you towards success

(04:44):
.
Who are these extraordinarypeople?
They could be living in yourneighborhood.
They could be sitting next toyou at school or at work.
They could even be related toyou.
But don't make the mistake ofassuming that proximity and
relationship alone qualify themto be on your board of directors

(05:08):
.
They have to know what they'retalking about too, now living in
your neighborhood, sitting nextto you at school or work, being
related to you, or even havingauthority over you.
That doesn't mean that someonedoesn't know what they're
talking about, but neither doesit mean they do.

(05:31):
The same goes fortrustworthiness.
They must be worthy of yourtrust, which usually means they
are in it for power, not tomanipulate, only to assist.
Their agenda is your success, your fulfillment, my friends,

(05:53):
these members must possessunwavering trustworthiness, as
well as genuine investment inyour growth and expertise in
your area of focus.
Those are the three musts.
They should be individuals whoare not only willing to support
your success, but also comeprepared with relevant

(06:16):
experience, valuable connectionsand valuable resources, and
they must be invested in you.
You must have their attentionand focus through their presence
as well as their involvement.
They should say what they'redoing and do what they're saying
.
Proximity in relationship toyou, those things, hopefully,

(06:42):
equal love, respect andfriendship, but not in and of
themselves.
A seat on your board ofdirectors.
In fact, not even being marriedto someone or being sired by
someone qualifies them.
Remember, this is your board ofdirectors and for it you want

(07:06):
and need the right people in theright seats on your bus.
Let me give you an example frommy own life.
One of the folks who sits on mypersonal board of directors is
named Wes Rutledge.
Wes is a retired financialplanner and a fellow author, and

(07:27):
he's been on my personal boardof directors since about 2018.
Wes is someone who has offeredme incredibly meaningful and
helpful advice over the years.
I'll tell you about onespecific incident.
There was a time where I was theexecutive director of the
Crimson Mission Board AlumniBoard of DuPont Manual High

(07:51):
School in Louisville, kentucky, and Ben Breyer was our board
chair.
Ben was really mad about someimportant board business that
seemed to be getting shelved ornot getting the attention it
deserved, so he was basicallymad at me and he was expressing

(08:16):
his anger or his frustrationwith me.
This was very alarming to me.
Ben at the time was the CEO ofKindred Healthcare, a $7 billion
company.
He was an incredibleheavyweight on our Crimson
Mission Board.
He brought an astounding degreeof clout to the board and at

(08:41):
the time, the Crimson Missionwas still basically a fledgling
organization and I could notafford to lose Ben Breyer Now.
We hadn't been able to deliveron some of our plans and Ben was
definitely frustrated with meand the organization.
After I got off the phone withBen, I called Wes for advice and

(09:05):
he shared a gem with me.
In fact, I pass this alongoften.
He told me, greg, if they'recomplaining to you, you're still
part of the solution.
Roll up your sleeves and get towork.
Wise words, indeed.
Wes calmed me down, he helpedme refocus, and then he sent me

(09:30):
on my way with renewed vigor andoptimism, and indeed I was able
to rectify that situation andBen and I continued to enjoy
working together until I retiredin 2022.
So how do you go about creatingyour board of directors?
Start by identifying a selectgroup of individuals with whom

(09:56):
you have personal access and whopossess the qualifications we
just discussed.
Limit the group to two or three, four at most, as you'll be
meeting with each of them on amonthly or at least regular
basis.
The key here is direct access, either through face-to-face

(10:19):
meetings or regular phonecommunication.
Why is this important?
Because these individuals willplay a pivotal role in advising
and assisting you throughsignificant parts of your life.
They are the mentors who willguide you towards your desires,

(10:39):
like Wes and others have donefor me.
But let me tell you, this isnot a passive role for these
mentors.
No, they must be invested inyou wholeheartedly.
They should be genuinelyinterested in your growth and
success, and they must walktheir talk.
That means they put their moneywhere their mouth is and make

(11:02):
it their business to know you sothey can help you.
And, as I already noted, yourboard of directors is not just a
collection of friends or familymembers.
So once you've identifiedpotential board members who meet
those qualifications, take thestep of formally inviting each

(11:22):
one to personally invest in yoursuccess.
Request their commitment toattend regular meetings or talk
on the phone where you candiscuss your progress, your
strategies and the outcomes ofthose things.
Be transparent about youractions and let them know how

(11:43):
they can support you.
Don't be disheartened ifsomeone declines your invitation
.
It doesn't mean they don't careabout you.
It simply indicates that itmight not be the right match at
this time.
Simply move on to the nextcandidate and keep building your
dream team with the bestqualified people you have access

(12:04):
to.
Once you've received theiragreement, then it's time to
unleash the full potential ofyour board of directors.
Be real, regular meetings witheach member and keep them
informed.
The more they know beforehand, the more direct, personalized
and valuable their involvementand feedback will be.

(12:25):
And now here's the excitingpart your board of directors is
there to foster your learningand growth under the guidance of
trustworthy mentors who possessexpertise in relevant areas.
This is your personal braintrust, ready to support and
guide you every step of the way.
So when you're engaging withyour board of directors, don't

(12:49):
hold back.
Allow them to shape your goalsand plans with you.
Draw from their expertise andtheir insight.
And here is a pro tip you areregularly seeking their feedback
on your progress and utilizingtheir insights to enhance every

(13:09):
aspect of your journey and levelof involvement.
To best do this, listen twiceas much as you speak and listen
to learn.
Don't bother defending yourselfor rationalizing your actions

(13:30):
when you're receiving feedback.
Keep yourself open to soak itall in.
Now let me share three crucialtakeaways from my personal use
of a board of directors in mylife.
First, when you consciouslyfilter whose opinions you care

(13:52):
about and prioritize theexpectations of your board, you
regain a lot of control over theinfluence that external
judgments have on you.
Embrace the power of yourchosen circle and let their
support guide you towardssuccess.
But that's not all, of course.

(14:14):
As you delve deeper intotransparency and accountability
with your board, you'll beutilizing what we might call the
power of two, you and anotherperson.
This synergy generates thequantum fields presence, or we

(14:35):
might call it the oneconsciousness's presence, in a
way that can't be replicatedthrough other means.
As you open up to anotherperson, being transparent and
accountable about something verymeaningful, you create a
magical connection.
It's like the harmony found inmusic, where two notes played

(14:59):
together give birth to a thirdnote that exists only within
that harmony.
So embrace this powerfulconnection with your board
members, share your thoughts, learn from each other and
embrace growth together.
As you do, the quantum fieldspresence becomes more palpable

(15:21):
and will assist you both indiscovering valuable
perspectives to consider andshare.
Now here's takeaway number two, something important to keep in
mind.
As your life aligns moreclosely with your desires,
you'll find yourself naturallyneeding fresh guidance.
Some of your current boardmembers, while still trustworthy

(15:42):
and invested in you, may nolonger possess the expertise to
support you in the areas thatyou're now manifesting.
You know what.
That's perfectly okay.
Your journey of success andgrowth will attract individuals
who are increasingly trustworthy, increasingly invested and more

(16:03):
knowledgeable.
When you encounter those whoare better equipped to advise
you, don't hesitate to expand orreplace board members.
This is your board of directorsand it's exclusively for your
benefit.
You have the freedom to seekguidance from those who are even
more qualified.
So grant yourself permission todream bigger and embrace the

(16:30):
evolution of your boardmembership, without
disrespecting the currentmembers, of course.
Takeaway number three issomething that I initially found
very surprising.
Using your board of directorsdirects your attention to those
whose opinions matter most.

(16:51):
The weight of others' opinionsaffects nearly everybody at some
point in our lives, and it'snotorious for inducing stress,
especially when those opinionsare unconstructive or unjust.
The concern for what othersthink can breed anxiety and

(17:13):
unnecessary self-doubt.
Ironically, one of the mosteffective methods to free
yourself from caring aboutothers' opinions too much is to
strategically choose whoseopinions truly matter to you.
By carefully selecting whoseperspectives hold significance,

(17:36):
you can redirect your focus.
You can dedicate yourself tomeeting the expectations of
those individuals who genuinelymatter to your success if you
wish to diminish the impact ofothers' judgments, and this is
where your board of directorscomes into play.
They are the right people nowon your team, who hold immense

(18:02):
importance in your journey.
Their trustworthiness,investment and expertise qualify
them for this role, making itcrucial for you to value their
opinions.
Prioritize the satisfaction ofyour board members is a top
priority.
By consciously filtering whoseopinions you care about and

(18:22):
prioritizing the expectations ofyour board, you can regain a
boatload of control over theinfluence that external
judgments have on you.
Embrace the power of yourchosen circle and let their
support guide you towardssuccess.
So now it's time to build yourvery own board of directors.

(18:43):
Identify those remarkableindividuals who will guide you
towards your desires in love, health, family, wealth and other
important parts of your life.
Seek out those who possessunwavering trustworthiness,
genuine investment in yourgrowth and the expertise to help

(19:04):
make your dreams a reality.
Limit your board to a small, curated group of members who
will all play an active role inshaping your journey.
And remember, prioritizetransparency and accountability
and feedback as you engage withyour board members.
Let their support and wisdompropel you towards the success

(19:29):
you dream of.
I want to take a moment toemphatically thank you for
sharing your time with me today.
My intent was to help you makethe most of your time, because I
can't think of anything morevaluable than time, so it means
so much to me that you share it.
