And especially. In the current state that we're in, with the inflation going high, with now you're in the US, I'm in Canada, with our governments throwing out these tariffs that are going to cause the cost of everything, we are in this weird world right now. So I think to have people like you in their court to help work through that anxiety, especially around money, is super, super needed in this world.
Nichole (00:02):
Okay. So I was a very active manifester for a long time. I mean, I found the secret whenever the secret came out, which was what, I don't know how long ago that was, but , I'm in circles of people like he watched the secret, read the secret.
And then I would just slide back, especially when it came to money. I mean, we did, I had these little like gifts of money that came in and my clients caseload would build and then I would kind of go down and I just felt like I was always on the. Roller coaster, and it was not a fun roller coaster to be on at all.
So now When I am creating I it's really from a place of meeting myself Exactly where I am for exactly who I am versus trying to Overcompensate for these parts of myself that I would rather not anyone see And that has opened , a lot of abundance. I don't even like to say that word really, but a lot of things coming to me.
Who knows what lessons you're. Here to learn. So part of my path with being a recovering or even I was like, maybe I'm a reimagined manifester. , I don't know. , but part of this comes from my work has been to meet myself where I am and to surrender to what life.
You're always going to be defaulting back to that core belief that you have that Once I get the thing, then I'll feel worthy of it. So what an ah ha for you to come to that realization of okay, I have to detach and have that worthy feeling now, in a sense, to unlock things in my
It was just like, I re I can't have the kind of mind. To always be, ,, in the zone and the vibration. Alignment, that's the word I just didn't, I was like, I, I really do suck. Like, cause I can't do this. So it was even a sort of a reinforcing of my feelings of lack, ineptitude and unworthiness.
, all these things. And I've been a brainspotter for A decade now. And I always kind of knew that I was missing that piece and all the coaching that I was getting, because it was just like this, , just like write your goals down every day, do your mindset work, do the, the model is what I was trained.
I'm going to get some brain spotting around money specifically and I found someone who , did that work and we did, , a series of sessions and then I still touch base with her because this work is never done like that's also the thing like it's always, it's never done and I then, and then once I did my brain spotting work, it was so much easier to surrender.
And they're like, Oh God, my chest just feels like it's like, Oh, like crushing. So then I can either watch where their eyes go. And I might say something like, I noticed that your eyes keep kind of going off to your right. Just take your eyes there and tell me what happens in that body, in your body or in that part of your chest.
, you can never stop your parents neglecting you emotionally, or, , abusing you in really terrible ways, or your teacher looking at you wrong, or kids making fun of you, but you can decrease your emotional reaction to it, and you can decrease how much that , continues to filter every decision you make in your life and how you experience life.
So it's not actually the eyes themselves. It's the position that they're in that goes back to this, like place back here in your brain. And it connects to that., , I don't need to get into all the science, but like, typically when you have a trauma, your eyes go a certain place and then your body follows and you're like, you're like, you know, like you do this, you orient to that place.
And with most guests that come on this show, I'm like, Oh, , these are all tools that we have access to that. Money being such a tangible thing we struggle with so often to have these energetic type tools that we can use to help unlock the abundance. There's that word again around money and lean into that.
And we can chill out all day long. Your amygdala is scanning your environment. Am I safe? Do I matter? Am I safe? Do I matter all day? And if you've got this stuff, you're like, Oh my God, I got to look at my bank account and , your body's and your amygdala is like, Oh God, not safe, not safe, not safe.
And when I say regulate your nervous system, I mean, be in a place where your nervous system can flow between states as needed. You need to go into fight or flight sometimes. You need to go into frozen. Those states, they help you all day. You just don't want to get stuck in any of those states, because when you get stuck in those states, you can't think clearly, you can't make decisions the way you want, you , you revert to old patterns, like, oh my god, when I'm frozen, this is just , what I do, I sit on the couch and I eat a pint of ice cream, or when I Netflix all day, or, , you're not, you know, Able to make the kind of decisions you want to make about your life and your business, because your brain is just not working
You're not trying to do anything to change it at all. And then, with your next inhalation, really pull the breath as deeply as you can into your torso without any sort of stress or strain. And then imagine that exhale is leaving by flowing down the legs and out the soles of your feet. And just keep practicing that way.
Jenni (00:17):
, and that did feel very calming. , I'm not coming from an anxious state right now, but even just that felt really grounding and calming. And yeah, breathwork is not all created equal. I went to my first breathwork shop two weekends ago and I started crying, just randomly started crying. I still don't know what I was releasing.
releasing something. So thanks for sharing that because people can listen to that. And tap in and feel what that feels like. That's really valuable. For someone who feels anxious or shameful or stuck around money, what is something, a first step that you would suggest for them to help shift their reality?
Like you're just not, you're going to , you're going to run from the tiger. So if your body's like, Oh, there she is with her hand on her heart. Okay. I must be kind of, I must be okay. So like, Oh, it's okay. But I feel anxious about money that I feel unworthy. It's okay that I feel this way. Money's been really hard for me.
So that's one thing I have people do is, , meet themselves exactly as they are. Another thing that I love to do is, , offer it up to the divine. Like, okay, I don't know how I'm going to pay this credit card debt off, but divine, I'm going to hand you this burden because I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to do with it.
And exactly like you said, just saying, , here's what I would like. I would like this to get taken care of. Here's the outcome that I would really like. And releasing that. And then seeing what paths show up or what options show up, and then it's up to you to say yes or no to them, but to be able to go, okay, I need to detach from the how, that's easier said than done in many cases.
