Those ones you're supposed to say yes to, but your heart and gut and sometimes your head are screaming, no. Lifestyle design is intentionally curating all of the little things that make your life feel good to you. And this isn't about being selfish. I love to think of this more like that flight attendant airplane visual, where they tell you to put on your oxygen mask first, and that is so that you can be the best version of you and help or uplift those around you.
And even if those things are working, they may no longer be as fulfilling or as purposeful as they once were. I. For whatever reason, many people live by default doing what they think they should do rather than what lights them up. And lifestyle design is about taking control of your story.
I'd rather sit down with a friend one-on-one for a cup of coffee and catch up than text back and forth throughout the week. And knowing this about myself, I often have to mute group chats and then catch up on my time when I'm having a coffee break, and then put my 2 cents in. If I don't, the constant interruption of the alerts going off when I'm trying to do daily tasks, it rattles me.
Just send me a message on Instagram. I can send you my list and you can go through it and cross off what doesn't resonate and highlight what does resonate for you. Once you're clear on your values, then we need to create a clear vision. What do you want your life to look like?
So what do you want? Write a big, write those words bold across. A sheet of paper, what do I want? And then brain dump. Whatever those things are in your life currently that don't feel good, flip them into what would feel good and jot those down. Picture the life you want to live. Take a moment and imagine your ideal day.
I catch myself doing it sometimes. Sometimes we just need to have an honest conversation with ourself, journal it out if needed, and give ourself permission to stop playing small to step into that thing that we really want to do or be, or to have and . Have fun with creating your vision.
You get to put together those little things that light you up, that fuel your soul, recharge your battery, and honestly, I think you're gonna find the more little things that you can tweak in your day to day.
Ask yourself. What can I do today that moves me closer to my vision? If freedom is your value, maybe you start by delegating one task that drains you. If family is your value schedule uninterrupted time with your kids. Are there things in your schedule that don't need to be there anymore? Expectations that you have put on to yourself?
And I felt so much relief when I was able to remove that task from my to-do list. Sometimes crossing an item off can look like ending a relationship or a friendship that is toxic and no longer working for you.
Alright, I wanna take a moment to bring everything together now. So we've explored the concept of lifestyle design, not just as an idea, but as a real practical approach to creating a life that is fully aligned with who you are. We talked about three key steps, defining your values, so that's understanding what truly matters to you so that every decision supports the life that you want.
Now you might be thinking. What if I don't have time? What if I don't know where to start? What if I mess up? Let me tell you this, you don't need to have it all figured out right now. The biggest mistake people make is thinking that they need to have a perfect plan before they start. But in reality, clarity comes from action, and the more steps you take, the clear your path becomes.
I hope this chat ignites a bit of a spark in you. Because it's your turn. Now, what is one small step you can take today to align your life with your values? . It could be as simple as writing down your core values, journaling your vision, saying no to something that doesn't align or scheduling time for what matters most.

So go out there and create a freaking life that is congruently you, one that feels good, and I will see you all here again next week.
