Text Hebrews 4:12-13. The purpose of this lesson is to remind us that the Word of God is embodied in Jesus, energized by his Spirit, and revealed in His Word. That word is active, and alive! This lesson looks at the essential nature of the Word of God. It is energized by the Spirit and embodied by Jesus. There are four things unique to Scripture coming from God. The Word of God is (1) living/active, (2) penetrating, (3) judges us, and (4) exposes sin!
