Murph (00:10):
Mr. Buddy what's going on? We're back I know again hard
to believe that he's still keepwaiting for you to text me being
like we're done like okay, skipbad breakup.

Zac Saleski (00:21):
What's going on?
Welcome. Yeah, I forgot forgotto announce the Navy naval glaze
podcast like 10 times just alittle bit sprinkle of American
air sprinkle Canadian eventhough they're kind of in hot
water. But you know what? We'reokay. Words. Everyone's in hot
water on hot water. No water is

Murph (00:38):
better other places. But yes, that's yes. We're we're all
in hot water at this point.

Zac Saleski (00:42):
Canada's Canadian.
Thanks for stopping by there, buddy. See you next week.

Murph (00:49):
Don't you know well, water.

Zac Saleski (00:52):
Oh, God. We are man. It's been been a while and
yeah, I was

Murph (00:59):
tired this time. Yeah, it's an extra shot to cocaine.
Yes. Or I did. I don't know.
Someone did it. It was there andit's gone. So it's all I just

Zac Saleski (01:06):
extra shots of pre workout. You just again, I said
no. He said, Come on.

Murph (01:10):
It's what the real people do. It's what the real podcast
do.

Zac Saleski (01:12):
You say? Come on big vagina. Let's go exactly.
For you guys feel like you'rebeing bullied. Make sure you
call the bully hotline.

Murph (01:18):
And he won't you just internalize those fear of those
feelings and push them down. Sothat eventually you just want to
take some sort of public rage ona Chipotle worker. So that's
usually how it works. Wow, thatreally hit home. I know. That's
how we do it.

Zac Saleski (01:34):
Oh, boy, as you guys can tell

Murph (01:37):
podcast right there. Oh, he got there. He can't pitch me
about that. Now. You're right.
But it's fine.

Zac Saleski (01:44):
If you guys don't know Ken is on hot water and
they're getting frustrated. Sothat's why Murphy is getting
slightly sassy. Tonight.

Murph (01:50):
I've totally That's totally what it is. Yep. I hate
my boxers. Nothing like that. Nospecial detergent, just sassy
Canadian this. Canadians don'tget angry. They just get sassy.
Apparently we

Zac Saleski (02:00):
just watch a video on Canada. It's like Trudeau was
he basically was saying like Ifeel safer in a Black Lives
Matter protests rather than thisconvoy that's coming through.
That's the testing, you know, vaccine requirements for
truckers going in now fromCanada to the US. And the worst
part is like these truckersfinally made Ottawa, Canada.

(02:21):
They're just like, just stoppingtraffic. And it's just the funny
thing that to me about the wholebroadcast. They were saying like
they're just picking up peopleand you hey, you're going to
Ottawa, go. Hop on in. We'regetting off convoy.

Murph (02:34):
Jeez, yeah, well, well,

Zac Saleski (02:36):
you don't conflict.
Right? You take that?

Murph (02:37):
Well, I'm not sure if everyone knows this. But I guess
to make sure that it'sappropriately understood. Ottawa
is like the quote unquote, country's capitals. That's where
like the parliament building is,and all that. So it's not like
they just picked a random placein Canada. And we're like, let's
go there. It's like, no, theywent to Ottawa to protest that
they have to get vaccinated, which I did admire which you

(03:00):
have to admit this. Sometimesthe American news does an awful
job at this. But this feed thatwe watched, did acknowledge that
the Americans require the samething. Yeah. So it's just
Unfortunately, though, inCanada, I imagine like you're a
bit louder, but Well, I thinklike Europe, too, because at
least my family I've talked tois like, they've been under

(03:21):
harsher crackdowns than the US.
And of course, all they hear inthe news is about what the US is
doing and all this stuff. Sobasically, at this point, now,
they have been pushed to this.
They just don't, they're tiredof it all. So it's just like,
yeah, it's which you'd neverthought you'd hear somebody say
that about Canadians. But yes, they have buttons, and they've
been pushed, and now they'repissed. switch can be a good or

(03:43):
a bad thing. But you feel today.
I don't know this. But yeah, youhave to bet though. You heard
the number one. It was hate. Itwas like, it could even walk
outside in parks. Like it waslike, That's how bad it was like
it was just craziness.

Zac Saleski (03:55):
It was equivalent of Australia. Yeah. You know,
without the camp. Exactly.

Murph (03:59):
So it's just like, yeah, like they were fine with the
beginning. But like everything,we're just we're all sick and
tired. And the data is lifeworth living. You just stuck
inside all the time and afraidof a cough.

Zac Saleski (04:09):
This podcast is brought to you by Canadian
tourism. Exactly. Visit Canada.

Murph (04:13):
It's fun up here a

Zac Saleski (04:15):
it's always something to do.

Murph (04:18):
But I do know some do. I do know some people after
Trudeau was elected, definitelywe're kind of like slapping
themselves in the face. Like, why the heck did that happen?
Yeah. So going back to the thejoke he made. Yes, it was a
horrible comment. And it scaresme how some people become and
get into politics that justdon't know how to string a
sentence together. Or don't likeyou, like just go off the cue

(04:41):
cards.

Zac Saleski (04:43):
citizenry or multi like they're not true Canadians.
What the hell are they?

Murph (04:47):
I don't know. I I'm not derelicts, right. I'm not I'm
not supporting him. But I doknow a lot of people go have
business in Canada and in theUS, but they live on one side of
the border compared to the otherSo I don't know, it's easy. You
can go by Canada flag and waveand look like a Canadian but not
be a Canadian. So that's likewhere maybe I could slightly

(05:07):
understand that mentality. Butit's not right for him to say
it. Obviously, there's gonna bea good majority those people are
Canadian.

Zac Saleski (05:14):
To be fair, we saw a guy was a weed Canada flag. So

Murph (05:17):
by writing theory is because he was huge on
legalizing weed control. Andthat is like, no, no, no, he's
usually was weed. And I thinkthat's why he got elected. That
is my theory, because I again, you guys have said it on this
podcast million times. Exactly.
No, I do bare minimum to noresearch. I just go everything
off secondhand. And if Iremember correctly, his father
was a prime minister, but he hasno education into politics. He

(05:40):
was actually a school teacher, before he became a prime
minister, if I remember thatcorrectly. So I didn't talk down
to my teacher, right? I'm notsaying teachers aren't educated
like that. I'm not sayinganything like that. But I think
Unfortunately, nowadays, withpolitics, you kind of need to be
versed in it a little bit likeyou kind of have to know what
you're doing, like Gone are thedays that you could just have an

(06:01):
education and decide people'sfates nowadays, kind of like
everything is just so convolutedin so much gray area that it's
like you kind of have to haveexperience to kind of know what
you're doing kind of thing. Like20s anymore. No, zero. Yeah. Or
the 1800s and the 1700s. Where Iwas like, Oh, you went to
college, like, good. You're innow. It's like, yeah, it's

Zac Saleski (06:22):
good. Harrison is not another age. Yeah, I don't
know why it's regardlesspresident on that one.

Murph (06:29):
I was gonna say, why'd you go? Yeah, it's randomly
thrown that on Sue. It's funny, because like, it's always like,
to like Benjamin Harrison, like, very serious looking president
but like, like Ulysses S. Grant, who was a general and then
became president. Where that'swhy I was like, at all Ohio
people.

Zac Saleski (06:45):
You were noticed and I still I love this a hell
of a segue.

Murph (06:48):
Yeah, perfect. We had to get off it as well. We're
trashing Canada too much, or oneperson to die inside. Or one
person is gonna throw Yeah, you're right. I'm throwing a
fit.

Zac Saleski (06:57):
Now you Yeah, it's just funny, cuz any any list I
ever see of people who judge USpresidents the one thing it's
always constant, like we havethis stretch of very mediocre
presidents. And ironically, about 90% of them came from
Ohio, because there's like, whatsix

Murph (07:12):
are very mediocre state.
Yeah, that's true. Yeah, that'sprobably what

Zac Saleski (07:17):
it is. This is why the state is the way it is. It's
how we are acing this collegefootball and that's it corn and
depression and college footballexcept for the Bengals right
now. And right now it's gonnasuck it. That's all.

Murph (07:28):
So a little butthurt huh.

Zac Saleski (07:30):
I've never seen a coaching staff single handedly
Louis has a game when they're upto dos.

Murph (07:35):
Actually, though. I don't think you're like I don't think
you were like that. But I findit funny how Andy Reid was the
Savior. And now this one badplayoff run. He's like, get rid
of them.

Zac Saleski (07:44):
All do these cheese fans drove me nuts, right. I
can't stand

Murph (07:48):
like Guy. Same thing. How some chocolate? Put an ice pack
on your stomach. You'll getthrough the cramps like this.
Yes. I'm basically sayingthey're going right there. That
imagery.

Zac Saleski (07:59):
Thank you, Murph.
Dr. Marsh. Exactly. Yeah. Thatwas like the last episode we did
right before right before weplayed the bills. Yes, God, that
was rough. But you go from likea really good game to one that's
just like half good and then youjust completely lose it in the
second half. And I'm

Murph (08:18):
done. Cater, right, though. They had a big leads.
And honestly remember 18.8?
Yeah, I remember being like, oh,halftime Wow. They're up by a
lot, like, probably don't evenneed to turn it on. And then
next thing, you know, I waslike, wait, what

Zac Saleski (08:32):
you had to do was run the ball. That's all I
needed to do.

Murph (08:36):
Yeah. I think my favorite thing I always find hilarious is
you watch these documentaries onslick hard knocks on HBO. And
you see, like, these widereceivers train and their job is
to run fast and catch a ball.
They like get themselves reallyclose to the machine to catch
the ball. The gloves are supersticky, like all this stuff. And
I felt one of the most definingplays was I think mahomes

(08:56):
through Tyreke Hill, and he wasfalling backwards. And most
people even myself know when youcatch a football, usually you do
something like this. Yeah. Andhe was like this and it went
through his hands hit him in thefacemask to hop back out and was
intercepted. And I was like, that is the superstar wide
receiver that wearing thediamond chain with the diamond

(09:18):
teeth and is talking all sortsof Mad game and that and when
you need to make a catch, that'swhat he does when he makes that
when that happens, like and Iknow the guy pulled them a
little bit maybe the ball was inthe perfect spot, but I'm like,
You're paid millions of dollars, you're to run a route. And I
know you gotta do it really fastand you got to be in good shape.

(09:39):
That's fine. And to catch afootball which they put all
these videos on social media ofall these insane catches they
can do and all this stuff andthey've got the sticky gloves
that literally the moment youclap, you can move your hands
like it's just like and yet youcan't bring that ball in is like
baffles me bringing that ball inson right? Yeah, seriously
though, like I Appreciatecockiness, but I hate cockiness

(10:00):
when you're not performing howyou need to perform. So like, if
you're an average player, probably don't deserve to be
cocky. Even if you're slightlyabove average player, if you are
a superstar player, talk, talkyour shit then go for it. But
like just baffles me where I'mlike, that's your job as a
writer receiver like, andespecially Zack knows this
because I comment every time hecatches the ball. And he

(10:22):
immediately takes one step back, and he does these quick little
bursts. And I'm like, dude, three guys just came to you. By
the time you just wasted 80%Your energy doing that little
dance, like in the announcers?
Look at that. It's like he'splaying tag out there. And I'm
like, Why do you feed into hisego? Like, he just lost three
hours after that cash, likeGronkowski is a weird guy, but

(10:44):
at least like he catches theball. It's for progress. Like so
stuff like that, like you don'tcare for progress. No, it's
like, if you don't, or Kelsey atleast tells catches the ball. He
fucking runs the ball. He justshuts the hell up and runs the
ball. Tyree kill. It's like, let's do this. Let's do that.
Right here, right there. Andnext, you know, it's like you
just lost like five yards yougot tackled, like,

Zac Saleski (11:04):
a times he does do it because you kind of have only
one that can really get awaywith it because he's so agile.
And you just really honestlyturn on a really small angle to
the point where it's like, assoon as he gets the ball, boom,
turns around jumps, jumps, jumps, as soon as someone's
like, either remotely slow orover, pursued. Bam, right.
Because any resolve, it's allabout, like yards after catch,

Murph (11:24):
correct. That's how football. That's weird. I
thought that was what footballis about. I thought that was a
wide receiver.

Zac Saleski (11:30):
You surprised with some offensive philosophy a lot
of go backwards. Oh, Shawn,

Murph (11:34):
I like 1320. I don't like 32. I like 30 and 20.

Zac Saleski (11:39):
Well, like the whole game. I mean, it was if
you look at it from a coachingstandpoint, on the defensive
side, it was like it was some ofthe worst positions I could be
in most of the time. Like, ifyou guys ever watched football,
again, just look at the furtherlike your favorite teams
defense. They're ever in thirdand seven are shorter than that.
It's very difficult to call playbecause you're like, I don't
know whether to protect long orshort or do some blitz or just

(12:03):
not. So it's very difficult tofigure that out. I

Murph (12:05):
have to get yet a chess match. Just kind of figure out
what the offense is running allgame. Yeah, ideally

Zac Saleski (12:10):
38 or more. That's kind of where they want to be a
lot of times so if interesting,if I'm ever like when I was
overseas in Germany film like1312 or 1310 I feel comfortable.
I was like, Alright, I can run alittle bit fancy stuff in the
box. I can sit back and thenforce these idiots to throw the
ball up in the air. Nice, but ifit's certain 513 Six, you're
like, I don't know what to do.
But it's like all game was likethat. I'm like, somebody is

(12:34):
gonna be on spying on those butoh, well, there's a little
glimpse into foosball. Murphy isgonna give you the non partisan
on that one.

Murph (12:42):
Yeah, that's just my opinion. I guess that's why if I
wasn't friends with you, Iprobably would not be at all
into football because it's justright. It's just big
personalities. I get paid a lotof money that don't do as much
as they think they're doing. Soit's just like, some of them do
some of them what Tyrese some ofthem are worth the money. But
others I'm just kind of like itjust annoys the shit out. It's
just like it's unfortunatelyhockey's game that way to where

(13:04):
it's you have one or two goodseasons and you just coast on
that for the rest of yourcareer. Like I guess that's like
a job. You have one or two goodyears and make company a lot of
money. And then you can justcoast on that. So it's just
like, Well, yeah, that's justguys. That's free Catholic.
Yeah. Probably on steroids. Idon't think he's ever had a
concussion or really has he'sgotten away with it. So I don't
know I'm the ever has to have agun away with a big guy. So

Zac Saleski (13:27):
oh, by the way, I saw something this week. I hate
this. Like start off with sportsfor the whole damn time. Cannon
sports.

Murph (13:32):
Yep. Fun stuff.

Zac Saleski (13:34):
That's what they listen for. Exactly. It's the
Canadian ESPN guy. That's whatwe're doing.

Murph (13:39):
That's called TSN. Yes, yes, sir. Yeah, yes.

Zac Saleski (13:42):
I saw was it this week since Blackhawks have still
have the vacancy for new geoposition? I was just I just saw,
they're like, we're puttingtogether a committee. But we're
having x players. Everyonedecide. I was like, What is this
high school? You're I don't Idon't know if that's normal? Or
if that's good.

Murph (13:56):
I'm confused. Yeah, that's a good question has never
gone this long. Most of thetime. Yeah. Unfortunately,
unfortunately, as we talkedabout the podcast, like it was a
unique situation, they losttheir GM, the management wasn't
ready for it. So now they'retrying to do everything they can
to get somebody but they haven'tdone the research yet. I also
think too, damn, the seasons notgoing very well. So I think

(14:18):
they're also kind of strong up alittle publicity by doing all
this stuff. So I think when theysay that, which is like most
frustrating things about hockey,it's like when someone gets
hurt, they'll say upper bodyinjury, and you have no idea
what that means. I think that'skind of like what this case it's
like, the Blackhawks are such ahistoric and great organization
that they do care about theirlove. Like it's a big thing.
It's a big deal for them. But Ithink this is kind of more like

(14:40):
a show slash just letting thefans know that whoever they get
as a GM. They're not just sayingthis is a good name. He's got to
experience we're going to bringhim in. It's they want to make
sure he's a culture fit. Theywant to make sure he's doing
what the fans want to see aswell as what the players want to
see. And I think that's kind ofwhat that move means. I cannot
sorry, I

Zac Saleski (14:59):
know I was gonna say like I imagine they're
probably taking their timebecause it's probably a media
nightmare for them. Oh, ernightmare. They're just like,
oh, it's gonna be a big deal.
Yeah, so we're just probablygonna let everything die their
own. And maybe

Murph (15:10):
they're just doing everything they can to
transition off of what? Yeah, bad stuff that happens. So
they're probably going to stringthis GM thing along for a little
bit. You know, they've got thecoach from the miners up right
now, you know, all that kind ofstuff. So I, I don't think he I
think that's where he's beensaid that he's not gonna be
sticking around no matter what, like they'll be bringing in
another coach. So they'll kindof use that to string along for
a little bit. So I thinkbasically, it's like time to

(15:32):
kind of cool the fires of beinglike, hey, instead of focusing
on the horrible management ofthat awful situation, focus on
the how horrible the team'sdoing right now. But all the fun
stuff to look ahead to and allthe changes to your job, do it.
Yeah,

Zac Saleski (15:47):
well there and this team is full of emotional
damage, right, honestly, as

Murph (15:51):
the picture they're painting, which is kind of like
is true is that a lot of theirbig stars are aging out. So it's
like this new paradigm shift wasgoing to happen eventually.
Because like, yeah, PatrickKane, Jonathan Taves. They're
just all getting old, andthey're gonna have to retire
soon. So I think that's kind ofthe whole idea that I'll have to
admit, I think the Blackhawksare doing a great job. And is

(16:11):
that like, they're kind of beinglike, Okay, this horrible thing
happened. Let's get the badpublicity off of us. We'll just
kind of continue to paint thatnew things are coming new
sheriff in town, all that stuff.
The old days are gone. And thesenewer days are coming. Yeah. So
that's kind of my two cents onit. But I don't have any insider
info on that. That is just kindof my lie. I was not fishing.
Murph. That's fair. That's fair.

(16:34):
That is but just in case peoplethink that is my opinion of
house.

Zac Saleski (16:38):
Porch looking outside waiting for the storm.

Murph (16:40):
Seriously. Yeah.
Especially to Chicago is such atough, tough market to be
because they expect good thingsfrom their hockey team. So
basically, they're off market,so it's safe

Zac Saleski (16:50):
to use the term but they're basically rebuilding
with the core piece being yourbrother.

Murph (16:54):
No, no, no, I got Seth Jones. Okay. You won't treat you
don't trade for Seth Jones. Itmakes that much money and him
not being a corn. I'm not sayingyour defense make the

Zac Saleski (17:03):
face but top three, marketing? Maybe no. Maybe not.
Maybe I think he's kind of likein that area was like he's
experienced. He's well liked.

Murph (17:11):
I think maybe unfortunately, it's the same is
the same thing unfortunate mydad had. But yeah, is that they
see him more as he's goodpublicity. He does all the stuff
they asked for to be out in thecommunity, but probably one of
those that he has, unfortunately, what Yeah, well,
he's unfortunately I call atransition guy. That sounds kind
of weird. But basically, it'slike this, right? Basically,

(17:32):
it's like, he's someone that'sreliable. And he's somebody that
you know, you might want onthere while there's uncertainty.
But once you can get somethingbetter, he'll lose a spot, if
that makes sense. So it's like, you know, he's maybe near the
end of his career he'll like, like, yeah, exactly as like a
day or two, his great career, you know, they could maybe like

(17:53):
a young playoff team might bringthem in for like a playoff push
for the experience he has. But Iyeah, I don't think he's there
yet. I think kind of Yeah, fewmore years. It'll, it'll get
there. I think also, if he gotinto the playoffs a few more
times, I would help but I don'tknow what's gonna happen in
Chicago. But yes, like, that's,that's unfortunately, kind of
what I see. Or a Chicago seeshim as he stays there for a few

(18:14):
more years, while they continuewith their prospects. And then
by the time he's ready toretire, or maybe they get rid of
them, the prospects are ready tocome up to fill his spot. And
then they already have theircore forward players doing well
that they're kind of ready tostart getting playoff flush.
Like that's how these teams arebuilt now where it's like, I
think that's the only way youcan transition well, is that you

(18:36):
have your good players that gotto the playoffs. Yeah, you
continue doing right by them anddoing the best you can, but you
just kind of keep bringing inthese little pieces to like, you
know, so that's good playersmake them better. And then

Zac Saleski (18:46):
Blackhawks like, I'm actually really surprised.
Cuz usually, you know, you getthat point where everyone gets
old and you start to move outand then you're like, well, new
coach, new philosophy, let's getthem out. And then All right,
another two, three years, butthey've been like, alright,
well, these pieces here, thosepieces there, then they're like,
you're still competitive.

Murph (19:03):
So like, yeah, back to your original thing you
mentioned Yeah, though, thoseguys being brought in, in the
GM. I think, you know, those arebig role guys and big guys with
the program after they finishedhockey. So it's kind of like,
you know, there'll be bumpinginto them and like that kind of
stuff. Not like some randomalums. I grabbed and said, Hey,
go do this, like now. It's like,no, it's like, it's like, yeah,
it's like we interview for a joband you meet people that are on

(19:25):
the job that are gonna be yourco workers interview with them.
Like it's like,

Zac Saleski (19:28):
I just get worried because like they're shopping
this around the the fans andwhatnot. They're like, hey,
look, we're doing some right so

Murph (19:33):
the fans like those players they packed too I know
that so yeah, that's so we'llsee. Anyway, it's interesting.
It's gonna be some big stuff. Soobviously they're gonna take
their time so they might not

Zac Saleski (19:42):
well, there's your Blackhawks update, right since I
know we get Ravis Blackhawksfan.

Murph (19:47):
Right. Chicago is just like our Zehra SAR is listening,
but they're not actually Nope,there's

Zac Saleski (19:52):
some Chicago people. There you go here,
right. Good point. Maybe Miami, maybe it's from your babies
maybe really nice. Unbelievright here we are.

Murph (20:02):
Oh, but I forgot to mention last game. So they're
playing tonight. It was Monday, like they played last quarter
score. So that was exciting. Sohe was pretty pumped about God.
So that's good. Yeah. So youknow, I think it's career high
yet mount of goals but he's upthere this year. I think it's
like three,

Zac Saleski (20:18):
four. So like that.
Yeah. So just getting there fromthe tires like the fires read
that right.

Murph (20:21):
Exactly. Go it's got to go. He's got the goalscoring
stick, guys. Let's see if wemake it.

Zac Saleski (20:26):
He's got the belt.
Exactly. Blackhawks beltBlackhawks belt?

Murph (20:29):
I think no, wait. Yes, they do belt this right. Yeah,
yeah, yeah, Arizona every belttoo.

Zac Saleski (20:34):
Every time I see I watch those videos can always
pop up randomly on thatFacebook. I'm like Florio always
gets them up, down.

Murph (20:41):
Raising you doing good.
Good. Yeah. Just kind of one ofthe big reasons they're still in
games half the time. He justspeaks French every time he gets
the belt. just funny. That makesFrench Canadian. Yes. I know.
Nothing's actual French. Likestreet French street. French
street French.

Zac Saleski (20:55):
Sounds like some good sounds like those three
fresh food.

Murph (20:58):
I was gonna say sounds like something you pay a
prostitute for this Ordos? Youguys have

Zac Saleski (21:03):
a son Earth for freedom fries, not French fries.
Oh, geez. Go to a gym. Don'tcall me Donald's. Those are bad.
Bad cravings. Yes. You shouldn'tbe loving it.

Murph (21:16):
He knows once was in China, we have to ride a bike to
power your cell phone whileyou're there. Like incredible.
Yeah, it's actually like areally great idea. Damn, boy.

Zac Saleski (21:27):
What a time Oh, geez.

Murph (21:28):
What a time What time do you live?

Zac Saleski (21:29):
I know. Good luck corner. Yep. Got all that
figured out. That fun thing. Sowe're doing good PR today,

Murph (21:35):
hopefully. Oh, no. Well,

Zac Saleski (21:36):
we'll show him something. Yeah, time to shoot
on things. Well,

Murph (21:39):
wait, I've been I've been dying. I don't know if another
great transition. Can we hearabout this wedding story or
what's going on? Oh, yeah. IZack has been trying to tell me
some stuff and like, you knowwhat, for the podcast, let me
weeks I'm gonna give myauthentic reactions to these
stories, because all right, it'sthat these are the preface I
will give as an outsideindividual before Zac goes in to

(22:01):
talk about so. What is x collegebuddies? Yes. Got married this
weekend. These are all buddiesthat he lived with. And I think
Matt after I graduated, I thinkit was like, what, two years
that you live with them that Iwas gone? Yeah, but two years.
Yeah. So you met these guys livewith them? All sorts of crazy
stories, insane personalities.
But basically every time theyall get together and do

(22:24):
something. There's the most epicweirdest, and hilarious shit
happens like I'm probablyoverselling it. No, like, it's
like, the craziest things thatyou're thinking like one only in
America. And two, like very Whatthe fuck? Like seriously, like,
honestly, some of these things.
I'm like, people could go toprison probably. But it's just

(22:45):
like, yeah, it's it's a highnote. Getting started.

Zac Saleski (22:50):
Here we go. I've been so for like the last so
it's actually this past weekend.
So we're filming. Right? Filmingand recording on the second
Wednesday where yes,

Murph (22:58):
and yeah, by the ground all day. Yeah. Fucking weeks of
winner damn s. PunxsutawneyPhil.

Zac Saleski (23:05):
All right. Well, all right,

Murph (23:06):
there you go. Just like there's a weather report decided
that they're like, look overthere go for Vine seen its
shadow and ran away. Let's makethis a holiday. six more weeks
of winter. I know people like itwas the farmers but as I was
like, come on, like we know athing or two because we've seen
anything. That's what we shoulddo. Actually, we should do a
video where we go into farmersonly and ask them Bob.

Zac Saleski (23:25):
I like how Murph like segwayed into this thing
and they took it away.

Murph (23:28):
Sorry. Alright, we're done.

Zac Saleski (23:29):
Let me tell ya

Murph (23:30):
back to the wedding.
Because it was like, you know, let's just say some groundhogs
are popping out. You know, I'msaying that's what

Zac Saleski (23:35):
a lot of people

Murph (23:37):
are like, okay, yes,

Zac Saleski (23:40):
no, sorry. I've been trying to like be trying to
figure out how to like reallystructure this because there's a
lot of stuff don't just go withit. Just go with it. Okay. Like
Murph said, yeah. So after likeI used to live with Murph in
college first foremost for kindof add on stuff, he said, but we
kind of live with a lot ofhockey guys. And I think after
he left, I was just like, man,it's gonna be weird. I should

(24:00):
probably just do like a randomface whenever he gets a college
roommate, generally roommate, ormy generator, just, you know,
they try to match your hobbiesor whatever it is. Yeah. And
luckily, I was very fortunate tolive with except for probably
one of them. Yes. Okay. Well, little weird.

Murph (24:17):
I meet them. I don't know if I've ever AJ. Oh, yeah.

Zac Saleski (24:20):
To do that used to turn on the heat to like 84
degrees during the winter time.
Yeah. Right. That's how you usedto laugh at people. So I've ever
roommate one time, just saysorry, my roommate, Whose
wedding I went to was his name'sJack. And he's like, No, Jack
Black. No. It was Wednesday mydudes waiting. Damn it. Well,
you know, your podcast. Oh,sorry. Our podcast. I know. You

(24:49):
read sorry. No. So I justremember AJ turn on this one
winner. He turned on 84 degrees.
Why is it so high walk out likefor degrees and things like
that, I'm like, No, I'm notpaying for the heat. So he asked
her out he finds out is our kindof weird roommate AJ. He's like,
Ha, did you turn up the heat?
No. You think I'm joking? It'sexactly how it sounds like every

(25:12):
caricature of for this weekend.
You guys may think I am drunker.
Oh, no, I

Murph (25:18):
Yeah. Does it is spot on.
No, Zach's pretty good. Verygood impersonation.

Zac Saleski (25:22):
Well, there's at least I've worked on for way too
long. But But basically, it wasJack's wedding this past
weekend. He's known Kathleen forso long. And guys, probably five
years now. They've been thankful

Murph (25:33):
that I was in college though, right? Yeah, man.
Probably my 10 years coming upfor college. Or I can tell we
go,

Zac Saleski (25:39):
man, but I like

Murph (25:41):
alright, well,

Zac Saleski (25:42):
it's like, I think oh, man, it was it was Jack
myself, Chris, who you guys willget to know very well. Yeah.
Well, Jack's very good friends.
Andy. I think Tucker in Mead, which are both in the Air Force
with them. Nice. So

Murph (25:54):
Jack did make it I wish

Zac Saleski (25:57):
I was hoping he's the milkshakes. One of those you
don't watch shows up randomlylike

Murph (26:02):
he did. You would have had to tell me the stories
anyway. So it's fine.

Zac Saleski (26:06):
But it's it. This is really, really epic. So it's
like, I can't even

Murph (26:11):
literally I think the police should have been on
standby when you guys all gottogether. That's like,
especially when you get theremilitary people. Shit gets extra
hard. That's our you know what Imean? Yes, God, I meant it. God.
I said it. And I meant it.

Zac Saleski (26:26):
You take it away.
You

Murph (26:27):
like you? Yes. But giggity

Zac Saleski (26:30):
I actually I actually knew Chris before I met
Jack. So Chris, like, we went tolike the same satellite campus
at Miami. So we're just kind oflike, I knew him for about a
year and a half before Iintroduced him to Jack and then
then they find out they're bothprobably quickly clarify both
the Air Force together. Sothey're like, Okay, yeah,

Murph (26:47):
he's trying to clarify, clarify, for those that don't
know, satellite is a branchcampus. So basically, a lot of
the big campus schools to makemore money will then also create
a separate school to send peoplebut it's like you get to pay
less than tuition and all thatstuff. So Miami was in Hamilton,
Ohio, which is like it's got acrack capital of Ohio. But that

(27:07):
wasn't like terrible. No, butlike, Yeah, but anyway, that's
so yeah, just to clarify that incase people are like, What the
hell is a satellite? I'dprobably think he went to space.
Yes, I want to say so. I'm sureit's in us in Europe, and I
think Canada

Zac Saleski (27:18):
haven't Yeah, they have one in Luxembourg. Okay,
cool. Oh,

Murph (27:22):
yeah. Miami. Yeah, we have a connection with
Luxembourg. Yeah, yeah.

Zac Saleski (27:25):
But it was like you know, it's cheaper so it's nice
and he's still got the samedegree so everything works out
so I actually and that was shit.
So actually, I met Chris Youknow, probably the format Jack
and then after a while I end upmeeting you know, basically
introduced those two and thenthings kind of happened from
there. So that's why Murph Salporno start today. That's how
that's why Murph keeps talkingabout the story there's so many
nights out whenever Yes,basically end up going down to

(27:47):
Cincinnati State for a couplenights down there. Turns out to
at that time, they had like oneof the nastiest like snowstorms
they've had in

Murph (27:56):
years. I don't know though compared to this weekend
coming up on their show. Andyeah, like nothing close to it.
Okay. The Columbus Wow, thatsucks wedding in a huge
snowstorm. A huge snowstorm.
Okay,

Zac Saleski (28:06):
no salt. No, nothing like

Murph (28:07):
I can't find the white.
She can't find the white. Can'tfind the brightest to white. I
can

Zac Saleski (28:12):
find the white. I see the white.

Murph (28:16):
I'm like an old person with schizophrenia

Zac Saleski (28:19):
talk. But, man like it was it was so weird because I
haven't seen Jack and maybe afew months time for about six
months. And then it was probablyI haven't seen Chris for years.
So it's been a number of years.
So I remember. I think last timewas a jack so I was I basically
where he basically said to me,Oh, hey, you're gonna be my
groomsmen be great. I'm like,Oh, this is weird. I barely even

(28:40):
talk to you in the last coupleyears. All

Murph (28:43):
right. I said hello, first. Hello.

Zac Saleski (28:47):
But we end up having like a wedding rehearsal.
We go the wedding rehearsal wedo through everything. And
cheese, man. Like, first of all,the church is nice. And it's
nice. It's small. Like it'sreally well decorated. But I'll
be honest, you get a lot of damnpeople who get their nose in the
stuff that should not have anose. Nothing's ever What do you
mean? Because we're goingthrough the rehearsal and

(29:08):
there's a bunch of like womenlike, well, I'll just let me
tell you because my wedding, orthe weddings I've seen they do
things like this. It's like, Ohmy God. It's not your wedding.

Murph (29:20):
Chill out people that can't. Yeah, shut their mouths.

Zac Saleski (29:23):
No. That's like one things I really kind of irked me
it's like who the hell as youknow what? It is at your
wedding. We're all just invitedhere to stop. So always drama.
I. So we're going through allthis stuff. And they're like,
are you just gonna take thisgirl down the aisles? Like,
who's gonna take you out first?
And Jack's bride Kathleen. She'sa Filipino. So it's like they

(29:44):
have their own customstraditions. They're trying to
insert into the wedding andthey're like, oh, we'll just add
this. We'll add that. Soweddings, like twice as long as
we really should be. Oh, geez.
Okay. All right, whatever. It'syour wedding. I'm just here and

Murph (29:58):
it's a great wedding guests.

Zac Saleski (29:59):
I love I was just like cracking jokes the whole
time and all the Air Force guyswas like, Man, look this guy.
He's not. All we gotta

Murph (30:07):
do is build camaraderie.

Zac Saleski (30:08):
Exactly. See part of a team? Exactly.

Murph (30:11):
Ha. That's the Marines cool. Sound like you surprised?
Oh, yeah. So they do see themovies. Movie. Yeah. But

Zac Saleski (30:21):
yeah, it's after after we got done with the
rehearsal. Everyone felt halfdecent. And then we we went
actually went down the street toa restaurant where they kind of
they ended up reading it outcalled Don't laugh my cock and
bull

Murph (30:37):
took a while to sink in, as it got a nice,

Zac Saleski (30:39):
it's just like a old British pub. It was, of
course Nice. Yeah, it was it wasawesome. It took us up to the
second level and we're all justlike they're just having food.
You know, we had drink tickets, everything. So we're just
sitting there just drinkingChris's? I gotta tell you, Chris
is very particular. He's Yeah,he understands and you guys are
probably gonna be all triggeredand whatnot. But he likes to

(31:02):
trigger warning. He likes tobreak women down mentally. Not
for any bad reasons. Really.
Unless something reallynefarious. I know. Enjoys
fucking with people. Yeah, likein a weird mental way. Yeah, but
it's also kind of funny in away. But you guys are probably
like, sounds awful, whatever.
But it's just some of the stuffhe's done in the past. It's
like,

Murph (31:20):
you actually make a good detective like EBC. Like, just
like you said, the way he readscues and the way he can like
kind of figure out how to pushbuttons, but not go. Not that
like by the end of thediscussion. You're like, fuck
that guy. You're kind of like,Huh,

Zac Saleski (31:33):
you moreso respect him rather than mine. Right? But
it's like, the thing with Chriswas so weird. It's like, it's
weird seeing him again. Because, you know, I'm still like in
college mode sometimes with him.
And some of the things thatwe've done and when I saw was
always weird, but he saidthey're like drinkin, and I'll
never forget, the first thing Isee him was he's like, he pulls

(31:54):
up with wine. And I was like,Chris, what the hell are you
doing is like, this is where allthe caricatures gonna start
coming out. Like,

Murph (32:03):
he's got this one.

Zac Saleski (32:05):
He's like, Listen, man, there's like, there's no
more wine glasses. So I got thisplastic one kind of feel cheap.
I'm like, Okay.

Murph (32:14):
What scares me is how accurate that is, like less bad
every it's like not even that Iwouldn't say it's a list but
just like it's a high pitch likehigh voice and he's a tall guy.
And he's, like, high voice andhis, the way he draws out his
essence. It's hilarious, butlike, but also like, it kind of
works for him. Like you're kindof like you don't you're not
bothered by it.

Zac Saleski (32:32):
You know, we're about him. It's like he's so
unathletic. But his dad waslike, what? He's actually his
dad's actually on the leadingscorers for the Cincinnati
basketball team. And so it'sjust

Murph (32:41):
kind of got that build he's lanky tall guy got that
built in tall but if you hit thegym, he would be what but yeah,

Zac Saleski (32:48):
that's the thing was complaints about his
arthritis. Listen, man, I gotarthritis

Murph (32:52):
on the Air Force. Anyway, so yeah,

Zac Saleski (32:55):
they already gave me money.

Murph (32:56):
I already tell the bar name like cock and bull. You're
not getting wine. They're like, that's like the beer house.

Zac Saleski (33:02):
It's such a I've been to weddings and parties.
You name it with different likeethnicities, but there was
something about white people andFilipinos are just so funny
because white people justchillin like so you get you get
some air force guys. You'relike, Alright, I want to drink a
little bit. Want to have a fewbeers? I'm gonna have some
liquor. I'll be good. And thenyou got the Filipinos are like,
Alright, now it's time to drink.
It's like Oh, god.

Murph (33:26):
Yeah, I don't know how to explain my brother said that to
about his girlfriend Serbiansaid the same thing like Serbian
weddings. Like they go like it'sa big party and other cultures.
Like in the US. It's like youspend a lot of money but it's
like you only do a few hours andthen everyone goes home whereas
like it's my brother said theSerbian weddings. They closed
the place down like literallypeople are like you need to
leave and they're like, it's twoo'clock and they're like, and

(33:46):
they're still going strong. Likeit's crazy, right? Yeah,

Zac Saleski (33:49):
I mean at this point is like the night before
the wedding. So I'm just tryingto like get a feel for the
people and the place so thehands are tied, because we all
got like matching ties for thenext day. And I'm like, Oh, this
be good. We finally got our foodgood ask food combo doing it. I
would love to sponsor yourcocking bowl. Y'all go get some
you know I love

Murph (34:05):
that sponsorship. But continue.

Zac Saleski (34:07):
To kaka bowl. You say that for no reason at all

Murph (34:10):
during right you like the taste of cockin bowl?

Zac Saleski (34:14):
You do? Yes. Tell me more Aereo but it's it was
such a weird thing because justseeing Chris and then Jack's
friend Andy and I'm gonna getsome weird listens here for the
rest of the time. Andy soundslike not so much now cuz he's
more calm. But when you kind ofget him riled up a little bit or
him speaking fast he sounds likeCartman from South Park. Hey

(34:35):
guys, Andy Kim. G hate increasethe crap they used to say to
each other was like the funniestthing I've ever heard. But no,
he's a lot more like chill or alittle bit spaced out. So it
doesn't really sound likeCartman as much anymore. But
when he like when he smokes orwhatever. We're just thinking
like it curious. Do you want acigarette? It's like I don't
know, man. I don't think so.
Andy hunters don't want to doit. But interaction between the

(34:57):
two are just weird. And then youget the Air Force guys. You're
just like, hey man, let's drinkand then out of all that stuff,
I'm just trying to mentally justtake this in, and I'm trying to
like process it. And also I'mtrying to keep an eye on
Kathleen's bridesmaids for nottrying to like hook up with any
of the groomsmen and it's just a

Murph (35:13):
man he just being a buzzkill. That does me.

Zac Saleski (35:15):
No, no, like, I'm trying to figure out who's gonna
cause the most drama. Oh,gotcha. I'm trying to stay out
of it. There's a few people fromKathleen sides like that. We're
just trying to start try likehook up with guys who and then
trying to start stuff trying tostart drama. She's like, Damn,
I've been here 10 minutes we'redoing this length. We'll do
that. There's like a third wheelhere. And it's the funniest

(35:36):
thing I told you. I gave Murphglimpses of it. So if you know
like Jack's family a little bitthey actually a lot of them came
out of like Chicago that's rightyep. Yeah base a lot of came out
Chicago they had a lot of like, you know small mob ties. So it's
it's really interesting to hearlike a lot of the stories they
had but Jack's dad he actuallyso they were in Chicago they

(35:57):
grew up in like South SideChicago. They went through a lot
of the mob stuff and they usedto fight for fun things daddy's
to box, too. So yes hire you'dmade a lot of money. And then
long story short, got intotrouble bursty no other mobs or
whatnot. So they end up leavingto like Green Bay mob life. Live
into like Wisconsin. That'swhere Jack was born. Gotcha. But
there's think it's checks dad'sbrother, uncle Mike, I got to

(36:21):
preface this because this dudeis so non PC. I think he
actually was in the military aswell. I think he was like a
marine or okay.

Murph (36:27):
Oh, boy. Yeah, so just like indestructible.

Zac Saleski (36:30):
Just dude, like he's owed on PC. And it was the
funniest thing, like everybody Iknow will probably be horrified.
But this stuff he would saywould be the funniest shit I've
ever heard in my life. And thewhole time. He's like, Jack,
you're gonna love the sevenwhere tomorrow? He's like, why
were you Tom? I was like, I gotthe perfect tuxedo for the
occasion. You're gonna love it.
And he's like, okay, whatever,it's tuxedo. Okay, shut up. And
so he turns around and he's gotthis look on his face. He's like

(36:55):
all Jackson's it's the nightbefore you get hitched? I feel
like I have to get out to buyall you guys some shots as a
shot. Sweet. Awesome. So he'sjust sitting at the on the bar,
and he just sees like, there'sone bartender and she's just
like, talking the way out theother side. And he's like,
sitting there waiting for fiveminutes. And I know he's gonna
say something, but I know Ididn't expect the thing that's

(37:17):
gonna come out of his mouth. Heturns over he's like, excuse me
when your ladies are donecackling I would like to buy
some shots over.

Murph (37:26):
Cheese. Oh my gosh,

Zac Saleski (37:33):
this guy buys 15 shots for like people around us
and a lot of us get doubles onmy cheeses. Man. What the hell?
Thank God people get Jamesonhappy. We'll get Jack Daniels
and we're just take a couple ofshots or Hey, good luck
tomorrow. Yeah, and then take afew shots. I'm like, Man, this
is gonna be a shit showtomorrow. Oh, yeah, that's how
it works though. Jeff is like ohyeah, no, no open bar. We're all

(37:54):
done. I decided to like get backat a decent time because I want
to get some sleep and just relaxand I'm just like, Man, I can't
wait so I put my head down. Wakeup next morning got all my suit
and everything all togethereverything's good to go. That's
a whole story within itself withsuit can't fit in crap anymore.
But long story short, we sorry.
I start getting ready to get tothe cathedral. And this is where

(38:15):
all this crap starts man it'sthe weirdest thing and it's like
all of us start to like pile inlike one by one to put the thing
you understand. There was such anasty snowstorm that day that
all of us were like really late.
Luckily, I was like on time soit wasn't too bad. It's like
four o'clock. People had to getthere for people. They want to

(38:35):
start a fight. We had to pushthem back to six deer gosh. Oh,
yeah. It's like I'm not kidding.
I have my Waze app on there'slike three accidents

Murph (38:43):
you can't drive in the snow. Yeah, that's

Zac Saleski (38:45):
all Yeah, like down to Cincinnati. Like Northern
Kentucky. If you get like adusting, it's just a shit show.
Yeah, sure. Cuz they don't putsalt down or anything now which
is weird

Murph (38:55):
cuz I get snow a lot. But yeah, yeah,

Zac Saleski (38:56):
it's weird. Where the hell you guys doing? I don't
know. But But I mean this thiswas pretty this was a few inches
and they didn't put any saltdown. So there was like three
accidents on the major highway.
So my Waze app is like, Alright,go to go around the whole
highway system like sliding alittle bit.

Murph (39:13):
Back Roads I never heard.

Zac Saleski (39:15):
Welcome to golf gobbledygook boulevards. All
right. Geez. But probably getsto church, and it's probably my
second wedding. I've been to butit was just it was like a weird
like, influx of events. Yeah.

Murph (39:30):
Yeah. It's like, I don't never heard of anyone been like
I went to a wedding. Nothinghappened. It was very boring. It
was normal, like, normal. A lotof things always happen. Yeah,
people love to do things onwedding. Yeah.

Zac Saleski (39:43):
It just it was just weird. And I'm like, I'm sitting
there. People are just I cantell Jack as nervous as
rightfully so he used to they'relike, I've never seen Jack more
nervous than probably a finalsweek for college. So he's just
like,

Murph (39:56):
I still have nightmares about those. Oh, no, he's like

Zac Saleski (40:00):
Unlike a Jag like Congrats, man, he's like,
Thanks, man. And he's got likethe wedding certificate in his
hands. Thanks, Ronnie. Alright, sometimes the good man is like,
yeah, just so you were goingdown, like, don't go down the
aisle with me everybody up frontand everyone's asking questions
like, How do you feel man, he'she's like, You know what, it's
it's a lot to kind of like gothrough at once, but it's fine.

(40:21):
And we're all kind of liketrying to like help them coax
them through everything. And youknow how it is. And Chris comes
off. He's like, Listen, I don'tbelieve in weddings, but you
guys are gonna do okay. That'sso Chris is like, Thanks, Chris.
Appreciate it.

Murph (40:36):
Like Chris thought that was the ultimate sense that he
needed to hear. The best way tocalm your nerves, I guess for
you.

Zac Saleski (40:44):
Jack walks away to help out with a few things. And
Chris is like, I give it eightmonths. Like you're not supposed
to say that man. Like watch me.
That's like Jesus Christ. Thisis not the first time I started.
I started talking shit to eachother like this. This is how we
typically do it though. We don'tever like we show support in
weird ways. But if we talk toeach other, it's very much in a

(41:05):
very supportive way. Yes. Fromhere on out. Things get very
hectic and very in your people'sminds probably a little bit when
say violent, but now it's likenon supportive. You're like yes,
I'm like awful people

Murph (41:18):
know that now. Yeah, no, but that's the funny part about
Chris is he can say that it'ssupportive. But he's also real
and that He thinks it's onlygonna last eight months, but
you're not offended by that. Soit's weird. It he's weirdly can
say things like that.

Zac Saleski (41:31):
I remember was like Chris was like looking around.
Like the details in this churchis tiny, but it was really well
done really nice. And I mean,Chris, look and Ryan's like, you
know, this is not a bad placefor religion I don't believe in
I was like, the hell's yourproblem. He's like, Oh, you know
me Zack was like, Chris doesn'treally believe in religion. So

(41:51):
you got understand to he's sucha weird shady character. The
last couple months he wastelling me that he was been
living in like the Philippinesbecause he just been traveling
around because he actually got agood chunk of money from the Air
Force for all the damage they'vedone on his body. She finally
got the money. He's been likepressuring the Air Force for
years because his knees his backon his joints are all messed up

(42:12):
from like, carrying all theheavy equipment every single
day. So they finally were ableto prove all right, his lack of
cartilage a lot of his jointsbecause of the Air Force. So
nice get, it's got a good chunkof money built up and so he's
been traveling a little bit, pays, okay, whatever works. All
I remember was later on thattime, he's like, You know what,
I joined a really great group ofreligious people. I kind of

(42:35):
think it's a cult. But you knowwhat, they're really nice
people. It's like, that's aweird sentence. Even though my

Murph (42:40):
sitter being you know, we're back to the cult podcast
that talks about hockey andfootball. Continue it's such a
Chris line to oh my god, I

Zac Saleski (42:49):
didn't really nice people, but I can't tell if it's
called. Dope probably is oh mygod, you feel influenced a
little. But it just it's it'sjust funny. Like, Chris is like
doubting the religion. You'vegot his Air Force buddies are
like, I can't wait to drinktonight. And then it's weird.
Like, you have to have his AirForce buddies meet who he's

(43:10):
really like. He's like that kindof get that pretty boy face and
he obviously could get anycheck. He wants. Okay, then he
got his

Murph (43:17):
big on YouTube,

Zac Saleski (43:19):
obviously, is another guy Tucker. He's like
this really like sensitive guywho just wants to like schmooze
his way to a woman. And there'stwo different styles of how they
can like talk to women. Okay.
Yep. Chris is like, I don't likeyou. It's like three spectrum.

Murph (43:35):
Yeah, yeah. It's easier to say Chris's, like elementary
school kind of thing where he'slike, Yeah, well, he'll just go
to girl like, I don't like youthe girls like an ND let's do
this. Do you want with me?

Zac Saleski (43:45):
Just like you're disgusting. Thank you. Anyway,
sorry. Yeah. But it's like thiswhole culmination of just
weirdness that's brewing andbrewing and

Murph (43:53):
then add to that and things get even weirder. Oh,
yeah, here we go. I'm not evenclose. I like to see Bella here
because this is like yeah, she's

Zac Saleski (44:01):
but then we get to a point where it's like some of
the bridesmaids are Filipino andthere you got a couple Filipinos
you got black girl, like fewother like nationality. I
remember Christmas, likepointing out like with a killer
killer. And then you got allthese other people to like, kind
of just eyeing each other. Soyou know, like, they're kind of
setting the stage for somethinglater. I'm like, Okay, this,
that'd be fun. To beinteresting. We start up for the

(44:22):
wedding, and it's just kind of aweird, awkward experience. So
they always are, but it's like,I know, I'm like walking down
with the girl that's supposed tobe like around my basically with
a bridesmaid I'm like, Alright,I should get this time. It's the
worst. Okay, this works. Andthen I'm like, the whole time
I'm scared like tripping overmyself. And I'm like, What the

(44:43):
hell's going on? So finally weget through the whole thing and
so different from like, thewhole thing with rehearsal. So
we're still sitting there tryingto figure things out and right.
I'm just like, Alright, no one'sreally joking. We're just trying
to get through the support themwhatever. And it was good
everyone. Everyone had a goodtime. Things went off without a
hitch and everything was good.
So other than that, Jack gotmarried. Things are good. Yep.

(45:03):
objections, no objections. Goodgoodness, as I was alluding to
Uncle Mike showed up. Yes. As hewas talking about his whole
tuxedo, his whole class hetuxedo he shows up and he says
to Jack, he's like, Jack, I'mhere. And he's like, What about
your tuxedo? What the hell'sgoing on here? He's like, got my
tuxedo. And this guy is wearingmilitary like the tan cream

(45:26):
boots with Tatum pants and denimshirt. And he's like, and he's
suspenders on with a tie. Andhe's like, that's not even a
tuxedo. It's he's like it's aCanadian tuxedo.

Murph (45:42):
Geez, dad jokes dad jokes

Zac Saleski (45:45):
about like, ya gotta be kidding me.

Murph (45:48):
I simply couldn't find a denim jacket. Like they're
definitely one of those outthere. I know. Right? It's kind
of weird. Yeah. Anyway, reallygot up top it off, right? As I
say he's, what happens is halfassed it.

Zac Saleski (45:57):
At this point, I'm like, nothing will surprise me
anymore. Right. So basically, weget to the point where it's
like, another one of Jack'srelatives come in.

Murph (46:05):
That's why I can run.
That's all I can remember. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Oh,

Zac Saleski (46:08):
my God. I remember after Uncle Mike was through
Jack's older uncle comes throughand Yeah, and he's kind of a
weird dude. But he's like, Look,I'm not hearing

Murph (46:17):
anybody. That's normal.
You're a lot of weird dude. Butbasically what

Zac Saleski (46:23):
it was like he gets he looks out sighs like, if
anybody from the church gonna, you know, plow this up or just
get the snow off. He's like, No,he's like, Alright, so the guy
just started doing the wholelike GE run steps that starts
just shoveling everything'sgood.

Murph (46:36):
Nice for the ride. We're trying to slip on that. So yeah,
good idea. All right. That's

Zac Saleski (46:41):
it just I was like, Well, it's

Murph (46:42):
nice. nicer. I continue.

Zac Saleski (46:44):
But um, yeah, so we end up getting to the funniest
part is like, we get to theperception and like, oh, like a
town over. And we get to I thinkit's over in Fairfield. Or over
over there. And then it'sactually it's like a reception
hall just for celebrations. Andit's actually pretty nice. And
I'm, I could tell like, thewhole time, I guess I found out
that Andy was on something orwhatever. And he was on Jack's

(47:06):
friends. He's just like, Guys, the pastor's looking at me. It's
like, what? Pastor was lookingat me the whole time. Like he's
waiting for something else.
Like, you're paranoid, man. Juststop just cheese. But um, but
when we get to the receptionhall, it was it was actually
pretty nice. We get there. Andthen they were

Murph (47:23):
Wait, did you ever find out? Well, he's odd. He kind of
just left us on a cliffhanger.
They're awesome, sort of edibleor something. Like that's just

Zac Saleski (47:28):
odd. This whole thing weird. But basically what
happened was we were getting tothe part where it's like, we get
the reception hall. And when I'mhaving was this like, Chris at
this point was he starteddrinking pretty early and
started getting toasty. Like alot of people. Yeah, weddings.
Oh, yeah. And it was really fun.
Because I love walking out to abar that people just be like,
Oh, what do you want? Andthere's it's all free. So it's

(47:49):
always nice.

Murph (47:51):
People always want to buy your drinks that are open bar.
Yeah, basically, the whole thing

Zac Saleski (47:55):
was just so much fun. And this is where Chris
goes downhill. Oh, yeah, I'llget interesting. And next, you
know, we get to a point whereit's like, God, I even know what
parts so we get the food andeverything I want you to see
Chris just slowly drinking islike hey, man. You're getting
hard stuff. Well, yeah, hebecomes he becomes this thing
guy know about Chris. He becomesbest friends with like,

(48:16):
everybody who works on the bar.
Yeah. So they're like, oh, trythis. Try that. Like we've been
working on this working on that.
And the next thing you know,it's like it turns into it turns
into like this weird mix. And hestarts drinking and drinking and
next year No, I'm I'm just onthe dance floor. Just having
fun. I hear Chris sing in FrankSinatra. He overtakes or takes
the microphones are singing thisFrank Sinatra take me to the

(48:39):
moon or whatever.

Murph (48:41):
Even know all the words, actually. Yeah, it's okay.
Interesting. All right. Allright, you know, and some women
like that. I don't know, man.

Zac Saleski (48:48):
You know, doing this weird fluid dance and
Andy's spacing out. And he'slike, This chick is really good,
man. Everyone's dancing. Andhe's like, I love this chicken.
I'm like, okay, good for you.
And then you got me and one ofthe bridesmaids. flirten. And
the next year I know like I see.
Things kind of died down. I seeChris. Start to like, randomly I
turned my head. I see him makingout with a bridesmaid. Like, Oh,

(49:10):
no. Oh, no. And obviously thosetwo go into the bathroom. Like
we all know what they're doing.
They come out and first thingyou hear is that one of the
bridesmaids saying just echolike, why don't you tell me he
has a girlfriend? I'm like, Ohmy God. That's happening. Gee,
so it's so hard to space it outproperly. Because like, there's
just so much stuff. And Iremember, you know, at the end

(49:32):
of the night, I mean, it was agreat night Jack had an
unbelievable time we end upgoing to like, ironically going
to a bar in our tuxes. What

Murph (49:42):
everyone does afterwards.
It's just if the bride and groomare sober enough to do it. Yeah,
the problem yeah.

Zac Saleski (49:48):
Oh, the art but it's But uh, yeah, just so

Murph (49:50):
Hanky Panky in the bathroom for a wedding. That's
like, you know, but it's prettylegendary.

Zac Saleski (49:55):
But the funniest part was like, when Chris ends
up kissing this girl I justremember Seeing there's like a
you have the tables here. Andthen you have like the area
where the workers are coming inand out to help like food,
putting the foods down andmember they're coming in. They
just they see Chris making outwith somebody like, oh, there's
like four of them in the bagjust like oh my god.

Murph (50:14):
Phones come out. phones out. Exactly.

Zac Saleski (50:17):
But now like it was a really good night. And you
know, Jack and Kathleen througha hell of a wedding. It was kind
of weird, because like all thethere wasn't a whole lot of
young guys out there. Okay, young people like us, and
they're out there just havingfun. But there's a lot of older
people in there. Like, it's 10o'clock. We're all done. So you
guys stay waiting. We'll see youaround. And white people. They

(50:37):
were just done it. It was weird.
They're like, Oh, I'm tired now.
I guess we're just gonna gohome. Hey, congrats on your
marriage, right? It was juststuff like that, man is it was I
always love going back tohanging out with college guys,
like people I hung out withbecause

Murph (50:51):
it's always a fun time.
Unfortunately, we got a livingroom, we relive the fun days.
But then we realize we're allold as hell. And sailors are way
worse than they used to be. Andthe budgets are way tighter than
they used to be. Or if not, likeyou just feel worse about it. So
it's like yeah, just likebefore, it's like, you know, you
work for just go to school andparty. And then now it's like, I

(51:13):
work for rent and groceries andgas and car and then you spend
money on the bar and you'relike, Why did I do that? So
yeah, that's like, oh, yeah, butopen bars helps. That always
helps. But that is hilarious.
That is the Jeez, that. That iscrazy. That's so crazy. So
Chris, it's like he actually no,you probably would tell his

(51:33):
girlfriend he would not care. Soyeah,

Zac Saleski (51:36):
but overall was it was just too much fun. But I
hope you guys got a little bitof a look into college.

Murph (51:43):
Very slightly all that that's like, I don't even like
scratching like the scratchingthe surface. Like I think you
might have even just likebuffered the surface. They're
just like, yeah, it's fairlygood shit that goes down in
college. Yes.

Zac Saleski (51:57):
I'll give you guys more luck on that. But oh, yeah,

Murph (51:59):
people are like well, you go there for higher education
like he Yeah.

Zac Saleski (52:06):
