(03:38):

online marketing and digitaltrends, ensuring you stay ahead
of the curve.
If you're ready to unlock themarketing secrets they never
taught you in college and tailorthem specifically to the AEC
industry, then you're in theright place.
Now let's get started.
Today, I'm talking about thepower of chat GPT, a cutting

(04:05):
edge language model that canhelp AEC marketers speed up
their content creation efforts.
And I know chat GPT has been ineveryone's social media feeds
and there's some people scaredthat it's going to take over our
jobs.
That's why I've spent the lastseveral weeks testing different
uses of chat GPT before Idecided to comment on it, and

(04:30):
I'm going to do that in today'sepisode.
You see, I like to share withyou the tactics and the
strategies I've tried myself, then tell you what has worked
and what didn't work and why andbecause of my day job and my
family, it sometimes takes mesome time to get all of this
testing of new technology andtactics out of the way before I

(04:52):
can comment on it.
So, while chat GPT has been outfor several months, if not a
year now, I wanted to do somequick tests to see how it can
help you and your day-to-day jobBottom line.
In my opinion, your job is safe.
In fact, after listening totoday's episode, I hope you are,

(05:15):
in fact, re-energized when itcomes to your job, specifically
creating content, content formarketing, content for social
media and emails and, yes, evencontent for your proposals.
I see that chat GPT and othersimilar AI tools are just that

(05:37):
they're tools.
They're tools to do our jobbetter and faster.
Just like when Adobe createdInDesign, indesign completely
changed the ease of creatingproposals and increased the
quality of our design.
I see chat GPT as a similartool that we can now use.

(05:57):
So in today's episode, I'mgoing to be sharing 10 different
ways you can use chat GPT tohelp you speed up your content
creation, including specificexamples and limitations of the
tool.
And because I'm going to begoing through these examples
rather quickly, don't worryabout taking notes.
I've put together a guide thatshows you all of these examples,

(06:21):
and you can get this guide forfree over at the show notes page
over at marketerstakeflightcom.
Okay, so let's start withsetting your expectations and
defining what chat GPT is.
Chat GPT is a trending AI basedprogram that people can use to

(06:43):
generate dialogue, aka writtenwords.
It's set up like a chat botwhere you can converse in human
like behavior or interaction.
You can tell it things, you canask it things, and when you do
that, it uses its vast databaseof information to generate
responses, and literally amatter of seconds and at the

(07:09):
time of this recording, it's afree service.
You just need to create anaccount for Then every
interaction you have with it isa new chat or a new conversation
.
And there are other similar AIservices that have been around
since before chat GPT, but thishas been the most publicized as

(07:30):
of recently, so that's the one Itested.
Some other services, both freeor paid, have included Jasper AI
, any word, word tune.
Those are just a few that Iknow of, but there are dozens of
other AI generated tools thatcan be used for written word, to
create graphics, to createphotos and manipulate photos and

(07:53):
so much more.
So I don't want to get into allof those For today's episode.
I'm just going to focus on theone tool I used for my testing
purposes chat, gpt, and again, throughout my testing and as of
this recording, this tool wasfree, but I anticipate that
there will be some kind ofsubscription model for this

(08:15):
particular tool in the future.
And also for today's episode,I'm focusing on just written
content, that is, content thatis generated via the AI tool,
and it is written content asopposed to graphics or photos.
Okay, so now that we have thosedisclaimers out of the way, are

(08:36):
you ready to hear these 10different ways this new tool is
going to change your contentcreation process.
I see you shaking your head.
Yes, so let's get started.
And let's start with marketingcontent.
What are some of the prompts orthe questions you can ask
ChatGPD, gpt to make yourmarketing content so?

(09:01):
Number one generate thoughtleadership content.
Aec firms have experts in yourvarious services, and ChatGPD
can help you start creatingcontent, such as blog posts,
articles, white papers, thatshowcase your firm's expertise
around a specific topic area.

(09:21):
For example, I asked ChatGPD towrite me a 500 word blog
article about the 10 differentways B2B marketers can use
ChatGPD when it wrote it for me.
I'm using some of theinformation it generated for
this episode, but I'll get tosome other limitations and
cautions for this prompt in justa minute.

(09:45):
Number two write multiple socialmedia posts and captions.
Chatgpd can be used to generatesocial media posts and captions
and this is probably the itemor the task I've tested the most
, both for my day job at FullSail Partners and for marketers
take flight.

(10:05):
I've copied and pasted in ourwebinar descriptions and have
asked ChatGPD to write me threesocial media captions and they
were pretty good and includedrelevant hashtags.
Even I like using ChatGPD forthe social media captions
because it quickly generated asmany as I asked for in just a

(10:29):
matter of moments.
I still needed to do the finalediting, but I'm not starting
with a blank page and especiallywhen I need to crank out two or
three posts for the samewebinar, it's really helped me
kind of write variations for thesame topic.
So that was number two and Isaid write multiple social media

(10:52):
posts and captions.
Number three write scripts formarketing videos, podcasts or
even presentations.
I tested this out by askingChatGPD to write me a 10 minute
podcast script describing 10different ways marketers at
professional services firms canuse ChatGPD, and it did it.

(11:15):
It was even scripted like aplay would be with the podcast
host and the podcast guests andwhat their lines would be, and
again, I used a lot of thatscript to outline this exact
episode.
So think about what videos youhave coming up, or if you host
your own podcast, or what evenshortlist presentations you have

(11:37):
.
It could outline or even scriptsome of the presentations.
Number four develop content forlanding pages and website pages.
Chatgpd can analyze your targetaudience and create content
that is relevant and engaging tothat audience, and I've tested

(11:58):
this out for several of ourvirtual event landing pages for
full sale partners, for example.
Just recently I wrote copy fortwo different landing pages.
I went to ChatGPD first andasked it to write me a webinar
registration page copy for mytopic, and just a matter of

(12:19):
seconds it wrote something forme.
One example was I asked it towrite me a webinar registration
page that shows in formers aglobal dashboard filtering
feature, which is one of ourupcoming mini demos.
Another one I asked ChatGPD towrite me was for an upcoming

(12:40):
LinkedIn Live.
This time I asked ChatGPD towrite me a LinkedIn Live event
description for the topic bestpractices to roll out your CRM
system.
Now, while I had to do heavyediting in both instances, it
still saved me a tremendousamount of time.

(13:00):
Starting with ChatGPD, and sinceeach of these prompts or tasks
are contained in their own chatsquote unquote chats I can then
ask them to write me, ask it towrite me the social media
captions for that topic andeventually a promotional email
and an email subject line.

(13:22):
And then that gets me to ideanumber five email marketing.
Chat GPT can be used to createpersonalized email messages that
are tailored to your segmentaudience, and it can quickly
generate several differentsubject lines for that email
message.
For example, let's say you havea monthly newsletter that

(13:46):
features different blog posts.
You can copy and paste thatblog post into Chat GPT and ask
it to summarize for a particularaudience or persona.
I've used this approach in someof our email drip campaigns.
I've taken a blog post andasked it to write me a sales
email from that blog post, andit worked really well.

(14:09):
For this instance, I didn'treally even have to do too much
editing because it was using alot of my content from my blog
article.
So those were just the fiveideas for marketing content.
So let me summarize those.
Number one generate thoughtleadership content.
Number two write multiplesocial media posts and captions.

(14:31):
Number three write scripts formarketing videos, podcasts or
presentations or develop contentfor landing pages and web and
website pages.
And five email marketing.
I hope you're starting to seehow Chat GPT, and just AI in
general, is going to be a toolyou use every day, along with

(14:55):
your outlook and design and CRMtools.
And those were just some of themarketing ideas.
What about your proposals?
Can Chat GPT help you writeproposals?
Well, I'm going to share fiveways that you can use Chat GPT
for your proposals, but I wantto caution you here.
I haven't tested thesescenarios as much as I have for

(15:18):
the marketing scenarios, but Iwanted to share them with you
because I know that they can begame changers for your proposal
production process.
Okay, so idea number onegenerate bio summaries.
Chat GPT can be used togenerate summaries for your team
or of your team.

(15:38):
You could copy and paste theirresume into the chat and ask it
to summarize their experienceand expertise.
You can even give it a wordcount if you're short on space.
Idea number two generateexecutive summaries, or and or
write a persuasive conclusion.
Chat GPT can be used to createcompelling executive summaries

(16:03):
that provide an overview of theproposal and its key points.
Idea number three writetechnical descriptions.
Chat GPT can be used to writetechnical descriptions of the
proposal solutions in a clearand easy to understand manner.
You can say give me a roadwayrestoration design narrative.

(16:27):
I mean, start with something.
Don't give your technical staffa blank page.
Now you have the tool to startwith something.
Number four generate a projectplan.
Chat GPT can be used to createa project plan that outlines the
key milestones and timelinesfor the proposal solutions.

(16:50):
So again, put in your projecttype, put in the description
from the RFP and say generate aproject plan.
Idea number five develop a riskmanagement plan.
Chat GPT can be used to analyzepotential risks and develop a
risk management plan to mitigatethem.

(17:10):
And I was telling my husbandabout this when I stumbled
across these ideas and, forthose of you who don't know, he
is a general contractor, heworks for a construction
management firm and I wastelling him about this and he
was super excited to try thisout, and so I will keep you
updated on this as he playsaround with Chat GPT and see how

(17:34):
good the risk management planscome out.
Okay, so let me recap those Forproposals.
You know just five ways thatyou can use chat CBT can be
generating bio summaries or youryou know your personnel
summaries, generate executivesummaries or writing a

(17:54):
persuasive conclusion, writetechnical descriptions, generate
a project plan and develop arisk management plan.
Okay, so this sounds like justtoo good to be true, right?
That's why there are some likecautions or caveats that I must
share with you.
First is, know that you'll needto edit or heavily revise the

(18:20):
content that chat CBT writes foryou.
At the very least, you'll wantto make sure that you edit for
your brand voice and your firm'swriting guidelines.
But, more importantly, justlike with any marketing or
proposal content, you'll want tomake sure it resonates with
your reader, your targetedreader.
Another caveat is that it'skind of like garbage in, garbage

(18:43):
out.
You'll need to play around withyour prompts or how you ask chat
CBT the questions that you askor the requests that you make.
It will take some time to figureout.
You know what to ask and how toask it to get the right kind of
information that you're lookingfor.
But even with these cautions, Ifeel like this is just the

(19:06):
beginning of AI for marketingand our industry.
I know that there are photo andgraphics and even presentation
builders that are using AI, andmore are coming.
I just haven't tested those outyet, but they're on my list to
do and test out and you bet Iwill be telling you all about

(19:27):
them as soon as I do.
And if you want to get this listof the 10 different ways you
can use chat CBT to help youspeed up your content creation,
go over to the show notes pageover at marketers.
Take flight dot com forward, slash one or two, and in that
freebie download you'll get thelist along with some examples.

(19:51):
Again, that freebie is over onthe show notes page over at
marketers.
Take flight dot com forward.
Slash one, zero, two, and chatCBT is just one software that
you should be adding to yourmarketing tech stack, and next
week's episode I'll be walkingyou through the tech tools every
marketing department shouldhave.

(20:11):
Until next time, bye for now.
