Bernice Interviews Tracie Hines

Tracie Hines is a loving wife, mother, entrepreneur and visionary from Williamston, North Carolina. She has over 20+ years in experience as a licensed cosmetologist. While Tracie has a vast wealth of knowledge on the cutting edge trends in the beauty industry, her main focus at her place of business is healthy hair.  She currently is the owner of DV8 Salon. Ever since she was a young child Tracie has had a heart for God and understood the power of being a giver. She had a yearning to do something for her community that would showcase the talents of the people that lived in her surrounding areas.

Tracie introduced her vision in her community in 2014 by starting “Fly Society Extravaganza”, which is a collective meeting of businesses, entrepreneurs,  community groups, churches, and entertainers in Northeastern North Carolina.  This event has been extremely successful bringing in hundreds of attendees as well as local businesses and vendors. Tracie expanded her vision even more by creating “Emerging Butterflies”,  which is a online social media group that empowers women to walk into their purpose by realizing their worth. Tracie holds an Associate of Arts with a concentration in Business Fundamentals degree and will complete her Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix in 2022. Tracie has been married for 20 years and has twin sons who are currently attending NCA&T State University.
