Beverly (00:11):
Welcome to season six
of the Wickedly Branded
Marketing Podcast, and our veryfirst season under the new name.
We will always have a specialplace in our heart for the Spark
Ignite name, but we are so gladto be fully and completely and
holistically branded as.
Wickedly Branded.
(00:32):
I am Beverly Cornell, your hostand fairy godmother of brand
clarity, and this season we aregonna talk all about one of my
absolute favorite topics, brandactivation.
Now, if you've been with me fora while, you've heard me say
this before, clarity is thespark, but activation,
activation is when the flamecomes alive.
(00:53):
It's where the magic reallystarts to take shape, and it's
where you stop keeping yourbrand in Google Docs.
Your own head and start bringingit to life so that people can
actually see it and experienceit and remember it and feel it.
So what do I mean by activation?
Brand activation is the momentyour brand steps out of theory
(01:16):
and into the real world.
It's when your voice, yourvisuals, and your vibe all work
together.
So that every touch point, yourwebsite, your Instagram, and
your email signature feels likeyou.
And I want to be super clearhere.
It's not just a new logo, it'snot just some pretty website.
(01:38):
It's the experience people havewhen they encounter your
business.
The words you use, the way yourimages make them feel, and the
consistency across every singleplatform so that they recognize
you instantly.
Here is one of our wickedtruths.
Most entrepreneurs get superstuck right here.
(02:00):
They do the Jeep work to findthat clarity that we do in our
brand Spark experience.
They figure out their offers andtheir service tiers and how the
customer's gonna go through thejourney.
They know who they serve, they've figured out their niche
and the absolute favoritecustomers who can afford their
products and services, but theirbrand still doesn't match that
(02:21):
vision, and because it doesn'tmatch, they hesitate to market
themselves.
They live a little smaller.
They actually stall.
They start sentences with thingslike, well, my website isn't
quite ready yet, or, I've beenworking on my website forever.
It's a work in progress.
Please forgive me, it's kind ofmessy.
Or, I'm gonna start pitching tomy ideal customer once I can
(02:45):
update my branding.
But the longer that you wait toactivate is the longer that you
wait to build your momentum.
I had a client recently who haddone some incredible work on her
business model.
She knew her ideal client reallywell.
She had all the right offers, but her brand still looked like
that first version from 10 yearsago that she'd thrown together
(03:06):
on her own with a bandaid.
And maybe some clip art even.
She was really embarrassed tosend anyone to her website.
So when you feel embarrassed, are you living fully in your
purpose?
Are you fully excited to talkabout what you do and share it
with everyone and spread thatmagic everywhere?
Are you ready?
No.
(03:26):
You're cautious and careful andprotective and you don't feel in
your flow when you're doingthat.
So once we aligned her visualswith her voice team offers, and
just presented it in a way thatmatched who she had become and
who she was becoming, because welike to build a brand with a
(03:46):
little room to grow in it.
Everything for her and herbusiness changed.
She started showing up more, handing out her card more.
She raised her prices.
A lot of our clients come to usbecause they want to raise
prices and want to look likethey know they are.
Why their services are so muchmore premium than they look like
(04:09):
on a website that just doesn'tfit them anymore.
She got far more yeses from theright, the right, the very
favorite people that she'swanted to work with, and it all
happened because she finallyfelt proud of how her brand was
showing up in the world.
That's what Season six is allabout.
Over the next few episodes we'llbreak down how to activate your
(04:31):
brand, what to focus on, what toavoid, and how to make it feel
undeniably you.
In my next solo episode aboutmidway through the season, we're
gonna get real about theroadblocks.
These are the things that holdyou back, they keep your
business from activating yourbrand and how you can actually
break through them, get aroundthem so that you can have the
(04:55):
brand that you've always wanted.
But until then, remember, clarity is only the spark, but
the activation is the flame.
So I dare you to be more boldand to be wickedly branded.
