Dr. Ann Shufflebarger is a seasoned educator who has worked for over 35 years in public education. She has worked as a first grade teacher, elementary reading specialist, Reading Recovery teacher, curriculum specialist, reading coordinator, and elementary school principal. She is an advocate for public education and passionate about promoting literacy.
Ann earned her undergraduate degree and master’s in reading at The College of William and Mary in Virginia. She received her educational doctorate from The George Washington University.
A lifelong Virginia resident, Ann loves the mountains, beaches, and other natural beauty of her home state. She currently lives in Virginia Beach where she can be found biking, walking, and reading on the beach. She also loves to travel and explore new cultures.
