In July 2000 Australia's prime minister John Howard introduced the Luxury Car Tax (LCT), which taxed importers 33% on all imported cars worth over the threshold (now approx. $93,000). But now, since Albonese's win in the 2025 Australian election, the LCT is finally getting removed. In this episode, I will be sharing my opinions about this and how the LCT was a bad thing for society. Also I will be comparing Australian prices to New Zealand prices.
