My guests on the podcast this week are Jeff and Tammy Hill. Tammy Hill is a licensed marriage and family therapist, sex therapist and a professor for the School of Family Life at Brigham Young University. She teaches marriage preparation, marriage enhancement and healthy sexuality in marriage courses. Jeff is also a professor at the same university teaching family finance courses. So naturally I asked them about how to talk to our kids about developing a healthy relationship with sexuality and money.
We talked about common stumbling blocks parents face when addressing these issues, advice for teaching young children, older children, teens and young adults about sex and money and concepts that are often overlooked. The goal for this episode is to help you feel empowered to be your children's best resource for information about topics that are hard to address.
We hope this will be helpful to those of you who are parents at any stage. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions that come up for you as you listen to this interview. Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
