49. Dean Corll

Dean Corll, known as the Candy Man, convinced two teenage boys to be his accomplices for his diabolical plan to kidnap, rape, torture, and murder as many boys as he could. When Corll was finally shot to death by one of those accomplices, Elmer Wayne Henley, on August 8th, 1973, it ended Corll’s reign of terror but the confessions of Henley and the other accomplice, David Brooks, only just began to uncover the true viciousness of Corll’s murder spree in which he claimed the lives of at least 28 boys between the ages of 13 and 20.
