First up, a practice in Sydneycalled Choffery has won a design
competition for two significantbuildings in a place called
Paramatta, at what's called thewaterfront.
The 52 story mixed use tower isan eight story high commercial
building, and the eight storyhigh commercial building will be

built from mass timber.
The mass timber structure willbe redefining the architectural
statement of the building in thearea, bringing a warmth and
natural tactility to the project, says the architects in the
statement.
The tall tower will housearrangement apartments and a
five story podium which will beaccommodating a 4000 square foot

commercial and retail residence.

The British Columbia governmentis at it again and is just
recently announced it'sproviding more than $4 million
to the provinces mass timberdemonstration program, or the

The funding is for incrementalcosts in the design and
construction of buildings thatshowcase emerging new mass
timber, mass timber hybridsystems and construction
processes.
It builds on BC's globalleadership in the area
developing and utilizing masstimber product technologies and
services to reduce greenhousegas emissions.

Two of Diamond Schmitt'sprojects are among the list of
eight demonstration projects andfour research projects that
received a grant.

The RSG multi project developerbehind the world's most
ambitious regenerative tourismdestination has released a
comprehensive update on theconstruction progress across
phase one of the Red Seadestination project.
This month, in August, markssix years since the Red Sea was

first announced by his RoyalHighness, the Saudi Crown,
prince Muhammad bin Salim, asthe international tourist
destination as part of theKingdom's 2030 vision.
And now the Red Sea's firstthree hotels in the phases one
of the International Airport areon track to open later this
year, and the latestconstruction update reveals the

remarkable progress achievedacross the destination,
including a future further 13hotels and supporting
infrastructure.
And to the United States.
Now and the data sciencebuilding in Philly's tallest
mass timber project in theUnited States is increasing its
efforts to reduce greenhousecarbon gas emissions, which has

had a federal funding governmenttarget of eliminating carbon by
2050.
Gutman Hall is a perfectexample of what the effort of a
six story structure that's beingbuilt through use of mass
timber construction and themethod of building and
assembling of large engineeredwood panels from a prefabricated
approach to construction,reporting a total of 82

truckloads of mass timberconstruction products that will
be assembled on site using theframe and new for the new data
science building, according toKSS Architects.

continues to grow in Nashville,it's vital that Metro buildings
