Andy, Chris, and Siobhan join Matt for some drink tasking and story telling, Matt and Friends Drink the Universe style. Let's go around the table andintroduce ourselves.

Siobhan (01:04):
Oh hey, it's Siobhan.

I'm Andy and Chris and I'm Matt and Chris.
You're going first for this one.
Yes, All right.
Last time you brought a beerthat was either going to kill us
or taste really good and welanded on.

Siobhan (01:19):
It tasted really great.
Yeah, that was a good one,Burton Batten right.

It's just fun to say Burton Batten, Burton Batten,

Siobhan (01:25):
Oh, that was good, Matt .

Chris (01:26):
This time, I've brought another beer that just so
happened to still be in myfridge, which was very
advantageous for myself as I wasplanning for this podcast
episode, because it's from KonaBrewing, which, if you don't
know is from Hawaii.
They make a lot of really goodbeer.
This one that I brought todayis their Gold Cliff IPA Very,

(01:52):
very nice beer, and so I pulledup their website, which talks
about kind of the origin storyof this beer, and they talk
about the origin story beingabout Diver's Paradise, which is
at the southern tip of Lanai.
If you don't know, lanai is awhole separate island in the
chain of Hawaiian islands thatnot a lot of people go to, and

we actually haven't been toLanai at this point.

Siobhan (02:15):
I don't even know if you can only get there by boat,
correct, you can only get thereby boat.

Chris (02:19):
There's no airport or anything like that and there's
just a lot of really naturalstuff there.
It's not like a tourist spot.
So there is this kind of cliffthat people used to way, way,
way, way back in the day.
There's a 70 foot jump that.
Hawaiians used to jump off ofto prove their courage.

Siobhan (02:39):
That checks out, yeah exactly, I would not be good at
that.

Andy (02:44):
I'm not afraid of heights, but I don't know about that.

Chris (02:46):
Yeah it's also not just jumping off a 70 foot cliff,
you're jumping through a keyholewhat into the water I'm afraid
of broken legs there's a videoof this, so it sounds absolutely
crazy.
Um, and you can still see likeit still is there today.

Siobhan (02:59):
There's still this area where you can still see, like
it still is there today.

Chris (03:03):
There's still this area where you can see people like
fearlessly dive off a cliff,which is absolutely crazy.
So anyway, that's all to linkto what recently this past
summer Siobhan and I celebratedour 10th anniversary and so we
Congratulations.

Matt (03:22):
Andy was there, I was Andy did come on our honeymoon,
twist my arm into going intoHawaii.

Chris (03:26):
That's right On our honeymoon, siobhan and I did a
awesome two-week honeymoon inHawaii and while we were sipping
drinks in Hawaii that honeymoonwe decided you know, in 10
years, no matter what, come hellor high water, we're coming
back here and we made it happen,and not only did we get to make

(03:47):
it happen.
We got to do it with a bunch offriends and family.
So I brought this beer today tokind of harken back to that
awesome summer we just had andtell a little story about it.
But before I tell that story,let me crack this sucker open.

Matt (04:01):
So and you renewed your wedding vows.
Is that spoiler alert or no?
This sucker open so and yourenewed your wedding vows.

Well, that's what we did.
No, it already happened.
It's not spoiling, so youagreed to do it again so you
know they say like the biggestthing when purchasing a product
or getting involved withsomething is would you do it
again?

Siobhan (04:16):
you did, so there's chris's five-star yelp review
yeah, he gets five stars.
It was good he wrote his.
We wrote our own vows for thevow renewal because we did not
get to do that at our actualwedding, because we had a
Catholic wedding where,notoriously, you are not able to
write your own vows at those.
You typically just pick someand you have them as part of the
mass.

(04:36):
But yeah, I was determined thatwe write our own vows and he
wrote them that morning, afterreturning from a hefty hike that
I was hopeful that he wouldcome back to the ceremony from
hangover style.

Andy (04:51):
I almost forgot about that .
We well, that's why we got upearly in the morning yep, hiked
up, this massive hike, yep,which was great, amazing.
And we got up to the top and wewere literally in the clouds.
We couldn't see a fucking thing.

Chris (05:04):
Yeah, so we got up really early because, again, this is
on the day of the vow renewal.

Siobhan (05:11):
Right.

Chris (05:11):
That we're doing which was.

Siobhan (05:13):
You know, had a little gathering the night before
Everybody come over to the coolplace we had rented, had a good
amount of drinks Yep, definitelydrank in.

Chris (05:21):
So in the first place we woke up.

Siobhan (05:23):
I mean, at least I woke up a little hungover Like
nothing crazy, I didn't, I wasfine, it was good, we had
planned this ahead of time.

Chris (05:31):
Rob and his wife Dorothy, and Andy and his wife Rachel
All came in the night beforethey like just arrived Because
they were doing their own kindof tour of Hawaii.

Andy (05:40):
Yeah, we had already spent a couple days on the Big Island
.

Chris (05:43):
Big Island yeah, we were on.

Siobhan (05:45):
Kauai.
To be fair, I don't know if wementioned that.

Chris (05:47):
Oh yeah, yeah.
This is all taking place onKauai, yeah.

Andy (05:49):
We had spent a couple days on the Big Island because we
really wanted to hit Volcanoes.
National Park there which wasamazing, absolutely amazing so
we had already done a lot ofhiking yeah.

Chris (06:10):
So they came in the night before.
I've been loafing it around.
We were there for a day so far,I think, doing a beach thing.
Actually, no, it was that day wearrived in kawaii, the day that
we had the gathering party, andthen the next day was the
renewal right, and next morningwe decided we're gonna go on a
hike, so we got up real earlyand had to make like about an
hour's drive was like a 45minute drive all the way up to
the trailhead.
And this is in waimea canyon,or just just north of of waimea

(06:33):
canyon, which is the grandcanyon of hawaii, and it is
gorgeous, pretty gorgeous yeahabsolutely, and they're gorgeous
which indeed it has a bunch ofdifferent places.
You can see it from, just likethe grand canyon, obviously, but
which makes it really nice, youknow.
And then if you keep going upthe the road, which is this

(06:54):
windy road, and there's likegiant potholes that will swallow
your car if you hit them thewrong way, which was really fun
in a rental car eventually youend up at the pahia trailhead,
which is the trail we did thethe hike on.
And what's really cool is youkind of park in this parking lot
and then you kind of climb up.
Uh, not climb up, but like yougo up a pathway.

(07:15):
That's a pretty steep pathwaysteep but pretty easy.
Yeah, it was still paved atthat point right with the
railing and everything and youget to a lookout where you're
supposed to be able to look outover this crazy open the part of
the nepali coast.
You know, look at the nepalicoast.
But because it's so early, it'sjust clouds.
We are walking through cloudsso we can barely see anything.

(07:37):
So we're like, all right, don'tbother about the look, let's
just start hiking.
So we hike down and up and inand out it was it was it was
more than any of us reallyexpected it to be through mud.
There were parts of the trailthat were completely foot deep
mud that you couldn't walkthrough, so we had to, like,
climb along tree roots and upand down.

Andy (08:00):
Super fun it was fun.

Chris (08:02):
I wiped out at least three times damn yep, we, we
were all muddy by the end yeahand the end of the trail we got
to.
It was still a little bit cloudy, but we could kind of see into
the nepali coast, which isreally cool.
We have some great photos.
And then, as we started to hikeback, that's when the sun
started to come out and burn offthe clouds and as we were

(08:24):
getting all the way to the backto the beginning, we finally
were able to start looking outthrough some of the really great
views.

Andy (08:31):
Beautiful view of this one little bay.

Chris (08:33):
It's gorgeous.

Andy (08:34):
Rachel's actually making a painting of it.

Chris (08:36):
I can't wait for that.

Andy (08:38):
It was supposed to be my Christmas present, but yeah,
she's working on a painting ofit.

Chris (08:46):
And so, to wrap up the story, which it was such a fun
day, I was absolutely wiped.
Siobhan was mad at me.

Siobhan (08:53):
Oh, I don't think I was mad.

Chris (08:54):
You were mad at me.
It's fine.
Not like pissed at me oranything, no, I just felt
slightly irked.

Siobhan (09:01):
Maybe I was a little.
I don't know if I was mad,though I think I was just bummed
Cause I was like, well, we'resupposed to have a party now and
like I don't want you to feellike you're yeah, like I don't
want you to feel like you werelike dead to the world at this
party, so I got back and I tooka nap for like an hour or two or
whatever, and then we werestaying at this really cool
resort that was like right on abeach it wasn't like what you

(09:22):
would think of as a normal beach, but it was just our own
cottages.

Chris (09:26):
Shout out yeah, coolest place, our own little beach area
, and so I took a chair and Ikind of drug it out into the
middle of nowhere and I put myheadphones on and so for like a
half an hour I just sat therewith this gorgeous view of the
ocean and wrote my vows, myrenewal vows, there.
So it was just such a reallypeaceful day for me, even though

(09:47):
I was like dead tired from thishike but what a cool experience
gave me like a really funclarity to be able to write
those vows.
So it was really really specialday for me with an amazing
experience.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely so.
This beer super tropically.

Andy (10:03):
It's got pineapple.
It's good stuff, very good.

Chris (10:05):
Super light and brought it to share with everyone.

Andy (10:08):
We did go to Kona Brewing while we were down there,
jealous.

Chris (10:13):
We got to do that our first time we didn't do this
this past time.

Matt (10:16):
I remember you talking about that.

Chris (10:17):
I'm like.

Matt (10:18):
I love Kona like the big wave.

Siobhan (10:20):
Yeah, and the other one's like they're just so good,
the Coco Brown best beer handsdown.

Matt (10:27):
It is like my number one beer.

Chris (10:29):
It's just so good I could drink it any time of the year.
Rich coconut, chocolate,wonderful beer.

We had such a great time down there.
You know, we kind of did islandhopping because we really
wanted to hit the national parksand stuff like that and we
ended up our last day down there.
We were on maui and likeliterally the next day the fire
started right, like we literallyflew out of maui, and the next
day I'm getting text messages oflike um, are you still?

Siobhan (11:01):
down there when we left too, and we were getting texts
too while we were flying, andpeople were like is everything
crazy?
It is crazy, and like?

Andy (11:08):
I don't think so.
Like on the news around herepeople talked about like people
were jumping into the ocean toget away from the fires and
stuff and like we think of thatas like the atlantic ocean by
jersey, which it's just likeright, it's a beach.

Siobhan (11:21):
You walk out like half a mile and you're still, you
know, only in six feet of water.

Andy (11:25):
But like in Maui, it is surf that breaks by the road,
like people surf literally up tothe highway.
It's insane, so like jumpinginto the water there, like
that's a whole different worldthan what we think about.
But it was a great experience.

Siobhan (11:43):
Would absolutely go back again yeah, yeah, we did,
and I will do it again 10 moreyears, 10 more years, yep, all
right we're your vows for itsiobhan who should we talk to?

Andy (11:53):
I'm a little out of breath .

oh yeah, who should we trip down to hawaii in 10 years?

Not Lehigh Valley, not lehigh valley, but like local in

You know, yes, it's not kona from hawaii, which could
not be farther maybe from wherewe are.
It is called hive mind, whichit's a double ipa which chris
and I are on the ipa train we'rebringing them here um, double
ip with honey and there's a bigold bee on the front love it and
he's looking a little scary bythe way he's like.

He is like creepy devil slash the hp lovecraft yeah yeah
, exactly that guy once crawleddown a marching band uniform I
had on and stung me under thesuspender.

Siobhan (13:33):
Well, that's what we're all here for today is to hear
about all the bee sting storiesthat I have dealt with in my
life of which I have three andthey are not that long, I hate
it I hate all of you.

Matt (13:48):

Chris (13:48):
Siobhan's pouring the spirit and tell you, siobhan,
that the other day driving homethere was a yellow jacket in the
Prius.

Andy (13:55):
Oh no.

Siobhan (13:56):
My whole face just fell .

As I'm driving from Lowe's to rehearsal.
I look over at the passengerwindow and there's just a yellow
jacket there.

Siobhan (14:07):
And I was like nope, no , no.

Matt (14:09):
I literally drive your car into a ditch and get out of it.
There's no way, you guys.

We have insurance.

Siobhan (14:15):
Especially yellow jackets.

I took my sunglasses case , which is like a hard glasses
case.

I'm so glad it was a giant puddle of nothingness we
should just all tell b storiesand I've got one.

Oh my god, I got one too this is my wait.

First of all, this is peak siobhan, because I come

am so afraid of bees, and before oh, this smells so good,
by the way, sorry, before allthe bee activists come for me,
okay, because I don't know whothey are.

Siobhan (14:54):
But like yes, you're right, it is rachel, I do not
have an issue with especiallypollinators, good bees honeybees
.
Yeah, it does I like the smell,but it tastes good bees that are
here to help our gardens growand the ecology and ecosystems
thrive.
Right, I'm here for that.

Get the fuck out of my faceokay, and a wasp burn it down.
Kill all of their families,their lineage, fuck them, okay.
Holy shit, shame on all of yourfamily.
I hate it.
Okay, so I've been stung.
This is the funny part, becauseI'm not allergic that I know,

(15:38):
of which now I'm convinced thatI am she's not.
No, I'm convinced that I am asan adult, because I have not
been stung in at least 20 years.

Andy (15:45):
Fun fact, fun fact.
I just learned this you getstung by a bee and you taste
banana.
You're allergic.
That's a sign of an allergicreaction about to happen.

Chris (15:53):
Well, now I'm going to be stung All of a sudden like bee
facts.

Matt (15:58):
Weird.
Hashtag bee facts Also if youget stung and stop breathing.
That's also right.

Siobhan (16:04):
I mean, it's a bad sign if you need an epi pen, you
might be allergic to bees.
Yeah, right, so I have beenstung three times that I can
recall, which I'm assuming isonly three times, because I
would probably recall them allinstead of trauma dumping them
because I might assume that Iwould do that, but who knows?
so the three that I remember,two of them happened in a

(16:27):
different state and anothercountry, and the other one was
in Connecticut where I grew up.
So I'll go in order of horrifictraumatic experiences and then
others can tell bee stories.
Third of the three stepped on abee when I was at my aunt's
house, stepped on a bee, had abee sting on my foot.
That sucked.
Right, that sucks because youdon't know you're going to do it

It stinks.
I will also say all of these Iwas like a young child, like I
was probably, I know, the firstone.
I was only six, but so I wasalways young.
So it was always very dramatic,right Cause, when you're
younger, even now, I mean, let'sbe real about how it would be

now if I got stung by a bee.
It would end my life.
So second, in colorado,visiting family friends in
colorado had a hornet that gotstuck in my hair.
Um, that sounds terrible justyou know, around this table I'm
telling a hair story that no onecan identify with, but that's
okay.

Andy (17:25):
I used to have hair.
Yeah, me too.

Siobhan (17:27):
Hornets, so like when they sting you.
That's the other thing aboutbees.
For those who don't know whichis probably nobody but that's
fine Bees who are honeybees.
Obviously, if they sting you,it is because they are trying to
protect their hive and theywill potentially lose their life
from stinging you, which doesmake me feel mildly sad.

Matt (17:44):
Horn lose their life from stinging you, which does make me
feel mildly sad.

Siobhan (17:46):
Hornets and wasps they don't give a fuck, they will
sting you forever.
I got stung three times in myhead from that hornet getting
stuck in my hair Horrific, okay.
And then the worst one, whichis just because of the way that
it happened.

Andy (18:02):
I love watching your hands .

Siobhan (18:04):
I know I'm so uncomfortable, even telling I've
chosen to tell these stories,but it is such so when I was in
Ireland as a six-year-old.
Okay, and you're like, arethere bees in Ireland?
There are.

Andy (18:17):
St Patrick didn't take care of those two?
He sure didn't.

Matt (18:20):
Just the snakes, and I never saw a snake snake, so he
did pretty well, but he couldn'tdo the bees so I remember this.

Siobhan (18:27):
I remember we had a rental car.
It was my parents and my auntwho came on this trip to ireland
with me in august of 1989 whenI was six years old and I
remember being in the backseatof the car and I remember being
like restless because I'm sixand I'm moving around, and I

(18:47):
remember sitting back down inthe car on a b and I got stung
in the ass.
Cheek in the back of the car sonof me and I literally was like
ah, like I started screaming, mymother's like oh, and of course
they're driving, so they'relike freaking out.
Sure what's happening, and I'mlike I got stung by a bee.

I sat on a bee.
My mom's like just you're fineand I'm like I'm not fine.
I sat on a bee and we had to goto like the chemist in Ireland,
which is basically a pharmacy,to get cream because I,
thankfully, was not allergic,didn't taste the banana, but I
needed the butt cream for thesting that I got from the

freaking bee.

Chris (19:32):
Well, thank God you survived.
I know.

Matt (19:34):
Was your aunt's name Beatrice.
It was not sadly.
It was Evelyn, which hasnothing to do with bees, but
still just bee stories, beestories, we all have them.
I empathize greatly.
I, at my parents' house inPalmer, when they still lived
there, I stepped on if youremember that it was one of
those kind of older stylecarpets where the colors kind of

(19:55):
ran together.
It was like a brown with likeblack speckles and like that
kind of thing which does nothelp the color blind.
Nope, I stepped on a wasp andhe got me like two or three
times in the foot.
I fell over.
Now he also suffered Matt tothe head, so he was kind of
limping and I just.

Chris (20:12):
The last thing he saw was my angry fist come down on him
and I was like I don't care ifhe stings my head, he's going to
die.

Matt (20:21):
And then I laid around with peanut butter on my foot
because the stinger was stuck inthere, so peanut butter on my
foot because the stinger wasstuck in there, so yeah, that
was the thing like peanut butterhelped get the stinger out
peeing on your foot when you geta jellyfish.
I've never heard that before.
Neither have I, stepmotherrobin.
She wanted me to put peanutbutter on the foot, so I had.

Chris (20:39):
Maybe she was just doing that to screw with me.
I don't know what.

Andy (20:41):
That'd be hilarious or it was like the like oh, you're
fine here, just if you putpeanut butter on your foot, it's
the peter griffin thing whereshe just looks around the room
and if you put a peanut butteron your foot, it's worth
mentioning, I was college age atthat point, it wasn't like I
was 10 years old.

Siobhan (21:00):
So yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, well that that makes me
think of the time that chris hadto kill a wasp in our old house
, because how many times?

Chris (21:08):
oh, I mean 42 times sure

Siobhan (21:10):
but the one that I remember because it was in our
bedroom and we had blinds likemini blinds in our bedroom and
it had gotten into our room andI literally walked in the room
and I heard like from the blindand I went nope and I closed the
door.
Well, I got the cat.
I got the cat because I was soscared.
The cat would like go after itand I'm like no.

So I grabbed the cat and then II literally slammed the door.
Nobody else is in the room.
I slammed the door and I godown and I tell Chris, you got
to go take care of this this isyour problem now if you want
this room again, was that?
The time you broke the lamp onthe fan.

Chris (21:50):
We have so many bee stories.
It's hilarious.
They follow my ass around, letme tell you.

Siobhan (21:54):
But he had to hit that wasp.
That wasp was like made of bodyarmor.
No, no, no.

Chris (22:01):
That's the bee we trapped in the window.
I got him to crawl out thewindow and so slam the window on
him, and then he lived for fouror five days in the window, in
the window like between thescreen and the window, we spray
him with something at one.

Siobhan (22:14):
No, no, no, I just let him suffer my god good to death
you wouldn't think like they'reso tiny.

Andy (22:20):
You would think and they like they don't have to eat that
long.

Siobhan (22:22):
But that's the thing the speed of the wings, like you
would think, and they like thespeed.

Andy (22:24):
But that's the thing the speed of the wings.

Chris (22:25):
Like you would think, that would require them to eat
more often, and then the otherone is yes, in my office, so we
had a oh, that's a fan in theoffice with a single light and
we were playing games togetherlike I probably heroes of the
storm or something in the office.
There's a callback, she freaksout because she sees a bee in

the room runs like her hair's onfire.

Siobhan (22:51):
Which it basically is.

Chris (22:52):
And then I see there's a bee flying around the room, so
I'm like trying to get it toland on something, to kill it.
It finally lands on the light,on the fan, and I took a flip
flop peace out.
We can buy you light not onlydeleted the beat, but deleted

This is the mudslide recipefrom rum point in the cayman

islands, and when jen and I gotmarried, we had our honeymoon in
the cayman islands and we werethere for a solid week and it
was a wonderful experienceoverall.
We stayed at a place calledMoritz.
They actually had a barracudaoff the end of the bar.
So at the end of the night,when you got done eating or
whatever, they kind of justchucked your food in the water.
You see, like six or sevenbarracuda come up and just
completely devour Yikes yeah itwas really cool, but the

original mudslide came from RumPoint in the Cayman Islands, and
the mudslide that some of youmight be used to will have ice

turtle farm in the morning, andI think that was the day after
we'd done swimming with dolphins, which is up on the wall.

But the baby sea turtles were.
That was the coolest thinglittle flippers in the hand and
like, and then they had thefully grown ones that you could
look down on.

But it was a beautiful island,that was a huge, great adventure

are not poisonous.

will scoop up a handful of antsand they will have the ants

I had an absolute blast.
I learned a lot, but I decided,obviously, before coming back,
I was going to grab at least onebottle.
I grabbed two bottles ofLithuanian spirits.

(47:36):
Over there, they like to drinkwhat we would probably call
tinctures.
Right so, like an alcohol oversome kind of herb, right, um,
and like you know, drink thisone for an upset stomach, drink
this one for a headache orwhatever drink this one for a
shit day at work.
Right, drink this one toobliterate all memories my big

story from lithuania with thisis um, it wasn't specifically
with this I have.
I've literally never tastedthis before.
Right now I bought.
I bought it because it waslithuanian spirit and brought it
back with me.
But while we were over there,at one point we had a party with
some of the lithuanians.
Okay, at a couple points we hadparties with Lithuanians and at

(48:20):
the one party I said to the oneguy hey, I'd love to try some
of your more local like what areyour traditional drinks around
here?
And the big one is the BalticPorters.
Right, it's a Baltic state, sothe Baltic Porters, Yep nice.
Their Baltic Porters weredelicious Strongly recommend,
love it yeah.
But he started bringing outsome of these again.
Delicious, strongly recommend,love it yeah.

(48:41):
But he started bringing outsome of these again what we
would call a tincture.
And we tried this one and wewere like, oh my God, this is
delicious.
All of us were like this islike so smooth and so flavorful.
And then finally we're like,can we see the bottle?
Like we're going to have toimport this.
What is this Right?
So he pulls out the bottle andon the bottle Like we're going

to have to import this, what isthis Right?

Siobhan (49:05):
So he pulls out the bottle and on the bottle is this
big old pot leaf.
Hell yeah, Weed tincture.

Andy (49:08):
It was a weed tincture.
Guess what you don't have toimport that.

Siobhan (49:10):
We got it here.

Andy (49:11):
Well, but as you probably know, military, we get random
drug tests.
So all of us who just took acouple drinks of this start to
freaking panic of like when isthe next time?
We're probably going to getrandom tested.
And we were all fine, yeah,right, but it wasn't enough in

(49:34):
there to.

Matt (49:34):
I'm sure the local Lithuanians who we were hanging
out with gave us something.
I'm really sorry.
Might have gotten it done, atleast Correct, yeah.

Andy (49:44):
But no, it was a great time.
The trip over to Lithuania wasfantastic.
My other story from Lithuaniathe trip over.
No, the trip over was not great.
Oh, yeah, right, I do notrecommend flying on a military
In Lithuania was great.

Matt (49:57):
The time we spent there, did you fly on a uh c-130?

Andy (50:02):
c-130.

Matt (50:03):
Yeah, it was rough is it true that there are no bathrooms
on a c-130 I?

Chris (50:09):
mean there's a bucket there is a bathroom.

Andy (50:11):
I do have a picture I could pull up.
But for the dudes, when you haveto take a leak, there's like
this canister that you take aleak into they just open that
hatch strappy and say go yeah, Idon't know, but if you have to
drop a deuce or if you're a lady, there is a very shallow bottom
toilet that is specificallymarked for emergency use only.

(50:32):
And how long was that flight itwas?
I want to say it was nine hoursthere, 10 hours coming back,
because coming back you'reagainst the jet stream, yep.
So nine hours there.
The floor of the plane wasabout 40 degrees.
The ceiling of the plane wasprobably about 85, 90 degrees,

(50:55):
so in the middle there you triedto get comfortable.
So I was told yeah.
So I was told like I was told itwas going to be cold.
So I was prepared for cold.
I had like under armor on andstuff like that.
I was prepared for that.
But I also had a blanket withme because I was prepared to put
that over me.
What I quickly realized?
Because the floor was so cold,I actually needed that blanket

(51:15):
under me and I needed my jacketoff, so like I've got a blanket
under me and I needed my jacketoff.

Chris (51:26):
So, like I'm, I've got a blanket under me to block the
cold coming up.
Yeah, but no top so wild, justlike an undershirt on to keep
you know I think it's calledinsulation yeah, the science
part of your brain is like that.
Totally makes sense.
But at the same time, science.
There you go.
You don't anticipate that atall.

Siobhan (51:46):
No, that's such a cool experience to hear about.
I know it's a crazy one, butit's such a cool one.

Matt (51:52):
Two things.

Siobhan (51:53):
The first one make me another mudslide, I will.

Matt (51:57):
I did not over-cinnamon this mudslide.

Chris (52:00):
The cinnamon I put in here actually works really well.
I'm now at the bottom and I'mcinnamon challenging myself and
I'm enjoying it, oh it's greathe's like my blood vessels are
broken, but I feel great it'sabsolutely great.

Matt (52:09):
The second thing I wanted to say is that I have immense
amount of respect for the menand women of the armed services
who fly on those planes on aconsistent basis.
The worst okay, the worstflying experience I ever had was
frontier airlines when they ranout of snacks and alcohol.
They're like we're not going toserve you at nine o'clock at
night that to me was a worldending crisis.

Siobhan (52:32):
I was ready to take like when I was like problems I
want a beer.

Matt (52:36):
I'm going on vacation like we don't have any beer on board
.

Andy (52:39):
It's six o'clock at night.

Matt (52:40):
And I was like nope, nope, this is unacceptable.

Andy (52:43):
So when we got back and we landed, a customs agent came on
the plane and was like do youguys have anything to claim?

Siobhan (52:49):
We're like, of course not Of course we all had bottles
of booze.
Yeah right, that's what you'retaking back.
Do you know who I am, sir, theydo.

Andy (52:58):
No.
So I will say I was expectingthis to have a lot more of a
burn than it does.

Matt (53:05):
It doesn't Well.
My right leg feels boozy.
It's got a tiny bit.

Chris (53:08):
He's got to get the left one.
He's got to get the left one.

Matt (53:10):
Another one for the left leg.

Andy (53:20):
My right leg is boozy now.
Is it okay?
Well, especially like my liveris numb, I can't feel my liver.
So we hung out with theLithuanians about six years ago.

Siobhan (53:27):
I feel like we're all going to just hang out and tell
all these stories.

Andy (53:30):
Sure, why not?
He can keep the good stories inand cut the bad ones out.
That is what?

Matt (53:35):
did we get beer is about.

Andy (53:37):
I agree.
So when we hung out with theLithuanians the first time, like
our higher ups specificallysaid like hey, Don't try, don't
try and hang out with them.
Their booze are higher proofthan ours, don't try and hang
with them.
So obviously we did.
But like the one time we wereat the one hotel and I just had

a bottle of bourbon I'm abourbon drinker.
I had a bottle of bourbon andall the Lithuanians Were like,
oh, we don't fuck with bourbon.

Siobhan (54:11):
They drink clearer stuff.
I mean that's not clear foranyone that one can see that's
listening.
It's not clear.

Matt (54:18):
He wants more.
Yeah, sure, sure, sure.
I want some more.

It's got like a honey flavor to it.

I like it Aperitif, digestive,that's the thing that you would
say Aperitif served for beforeand it had just a tiny bit of
burn.

Chris (54:46):
That's why I said earlier it burned just a little bit,
but not bad.
You don't feel it in your chestthat much.
It's not the Kentucky hug we'vetalked about.

Matt (54:56):
Previously.
No, you don't get that warmfuzzy feeling.

Andy (55:00):
You get a little bit, but it doesn't linger too long.
I still feel my palate a littlebit.
