trivia which I will beparticipating in, hopefully not
sucking.

Oh man, I do love the games where you actually play instead
of run, because then I get tobeat you.

So before we dive into this, I do want to share the
drink that I put together fortoday.
Buckle up, yep.
Rob dove right into the rim ofthis one and found it unpleasant
you know, sometimes you're justnot ready for the rim job, you
know so I thought the rim wasreally nice.
So the drink here is awatermelon margarita, but this

is made to be themed with garudovalley from the legend of zelda
series, to have that desert yetspicy feel to it.
I did a lot of research forthis one and I was happy with
how this one turned out, but itis rimmed with tahini, so it
does have a nice spice to it.

It's not the tahini that's throwing me.
What else is in this?
Because there's something in itthat is throwing me.
Well, it's theoreticallysmoking.
Yes, it's a mezcalita.

Josh (02:31):
It's not really a margarita, so this is a
mezcal-based drink, nottraditional tequila.

Yeah.

So it's the mezcal, the smokiness that's throwing me off
of the drink, not the.

So I picked this becauseocarina of time is my favorite
single player game.
If I have to split things down,my favorite multiplayer game is
by far and away the halo series.
Pick one, uh of them.
I absolutely love that series.
But odst, I love odst oh,phenomenal game shocking.

Oh my god, I was not a fan.
Oh, nathan Fillion voices oneof the dropshippers.
I'm talking about multiplayeronly.
It does not have as much to itas the other Halo games do,
that's for sure.
But I want to ask that questionof all of you favorite single
player, favorite multiplayerChris, if you feel the need to
break this down by decade system, whatever you need to do over

there, I mean if you feel theneed to break this down by
decade system whatever you needto do over there.

I mean, if, if you go?
Uh, my, my favorite game of alltime is legend of zelda,
majora's mask.
A close second is chronotrigger, so they're almost equal
in my eyes.
I've played both of those gamesI'm not even exaggerating
probably 50 times a piece.
Uh, and then uh, multiplayer isreally difficult for me, but I

have to land on splinter cellchaos theory.
Uh, it's kind of a little knownmultiplayer game the splinter
cells game series is huge, andthe third in the series had a
multiplayer that I played anobsessive amount in late high
school, early college, I mean.
Close second is obviously theCall of Duty series.
I was a big Call of Duty playerfor years as well.

Not so much anymore.
I can't stand them anymore.
The culture of that game isabysmal.
But that's yeah.
That's where I'm landing.

Josh (04:18):
When you say multiplayer, do you mean online multiplayers,
or it could be local Onlinecouch.
I mean, I would have to say myfavorite of all time was mario
kart double dash.
As far as multiplayer games, gosolid.
I could play that for hours withmy friends.
We would swap up the teams.
We would always be playing withwhoever I mean.

It was just so much fun.
As far as like the online gamesgo, I spent a lot of time
playing Call of Duty, so thatwould probably be my next one
there.
As far as single-player gamesgo, man, I am more of a recent
entrant into the whole series,but Assassin's Creed Valhalla I
really liked that game.
I love following stories.

Rob (05:00):
Quality really playing that .

Josh (05:01):
Yeah, I love following stories and world building.
I really liked Far, far cryprimal.
I thought that was just a lotof fun and I'm currently in the
middle of and I think this isprobably probably the biggest
game I've played.
It takes the longest.
I'm a playstation guy isassassin's creed odyssey, so I
know I'm playing things out oforder, but that game just has so
much to it and I mean I feellike I'm I'm up in like the

level, the 30s at this point,but there's so much that I
haven't done yet that I stillcan, even when I'm done with the
story, I can go back and do somuch odyssey is the one in set
in ancient greece.

Rob (05:33):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Josh (05:34):
So I mean the assassin's creed, the, that whole series.
So far I've I've had a lot offun playing through that and I
know I'm late to the game, butit's a lot of fun.

Rob (05:44):
I'll jump in next if you don't mind.
Yeah, I'm not going to be ableto land on one because I I think
it's a little bit difficult.
Growing up, I didn't play a tonof single-player games, like I
wasn't, uh super into gamingindividually.
I was more into like gamingwith friends.
Um, so if I'm, if I'm going tostart with team multiplayer type

games you know, halo obviouslycarried me through college.

Matt (06:09):
Uh, I played with three of the people sitting at this
table, um, sometimes when wewere supposed to be going to
college, that yeah that's fair,um, but.

Rob (06:18):
But also I'll throw out a couple other like honorable
mentions.
Uh, marvel, ultimate alliance Iloved that game.
Played that a lot with somefriends from college.
Played through it multipletimes because the replayability
with like doing a differentcharacter as your main, was
always fun.
But also my classic multiplayergame that I loved Turtles in

Time oh, such a good game.
Turtles in Time.
As far as single player, I'llgo more recent.
Either the Arkham series,Batman Arkham series I didn't
even think of those.

Chris (06:49):
Very good.
Hundreds of hours of gameplayin that.

Rob (06:51):
Or the Sony Spider-Man series has been equally as
impeccable, both graphically,storyline and just playability.

Chris (07:01):
I got to dust that off.
I played only like maybe anhour of I don't know which one,
one of the Spider-Mans.

Rob (07:07):
The first one's very good.
The second one is unbelievableas well.

Josh (07:10):
I would take the Arkham.
Personally, I'd take the Arkhamseries over the Spider-Man
games, but they are both a lotof fun.

Matt (07:15):
I want to let Andy answer, but I have this really obscure
return of the jedi on, I believe, on nes yeah yeah, and it was
the first time that I had playedthat game and I just it was
damn near impossible, but it wasa lot of fun yeah, we got to
that point where the millenniumfalcon has to drive through the

middle of the death star.
Yep, and it was infuriatinglydifficult on that style of
controller that was second onlyin my mind to the lion king game
for sega genesis.
If you ever played that gamewas so good.
The stampede where, if you havefour, hearts.

Chris (07:52):
All you have to do is go all the way to the left of the
screen and, although you'll gethit, once you'll only get hit
once so you'll make it throughclassic andy you're up.

Andy (08:00):
All right, so I I'm a little bit more of a fan of the
goofy games, so we'll start withmy favorite all-time game.
Is diablo 2?
Such a good game, god, I playedso much of that game.
Favorite multiplayer game josh,I'm with you, except mine's.
Mario kart 64 okay I mansimilar.

(08:22):
Just such great memories ofbeing at parties and you know,
whoever comes in last has togive up their controller and
just rotating through.

Josh (08:30):
Yeah, for sure.

Andy (08:31):
But I tend now to I stick to games that I can put down
quickly or games that help me beactive.
So I am still a very avidPokemon Go player.
If any of the listeners want tobe a Pokefriend, I'm down for
that.

Matt (08:50):
When he says avid Andy is underselling this greatly.
Really, when you have Pokedexesof shiny and lucky that you're
actively trying to fill it, howmany of the shiny Dexes do you
have done now?

Andy (09:02):
So I have the first three generations of Pokemon shiny.
Dexes do you have done now?
So I have the first threegenerations of pokemon shiny dex
is complete.
That includes legendaries andmythicals and regionals.
First three, first threegenerations complete, working on
the fourth how many years?
How many years?
And that's the funny thing is,we didn't play from the start.
Pokemon go started in 2016.

I think Rachel and I startedplaying in 2018, but yeah, and
have you been?

Josh (09:31):
playing solid from 2018 to now.
Yeah.

Andy (09:33):
Wow, I would say I have probably, maybe since 2018, two,
maybe three days when I haven'tat least caught a Pokemon.
Holy cow.

Josh (09:45):
That is crazy investment, but you know what it's.

Andy (09:48):
One of those things that, like during the pandemic
shutdown, like to have thatdaily goal to go outside and
spin that poke.
Stop down the street from meand go for that walk to catch
some like that helped me staysane yes, same with siobhan and
I.

Chris (10:03):
You know, siobhan and I both got into well, I got into
pokemon go at the time andsiobhan got into the harry
potter game that no longerexists, but it was.
It was pivotal to the pandemic.
And getting out and active andnot feeling guilty about it,
like there was, there was alittle bit of that like you
could play that game sociallydistanced, and so you didn't

(10:25):
feel bad being outside, eventhough you shouldn't have felt
bad being outside.
But, like you know, at the sametime you didn't want to feel
like you were pressing yourcompany on other people and
having to play a game together.
So, and that, for I know, uhlike andy and I are big board
game, uh folks, and so the factthat we couldn't go over to each

other's houses and play a boardgame together made it really
really tough.
So that was a good difference.

Josh (10:51):
I never got into the Pokemon Go.
In the pandemic I did a lot ofsolo disc golfing, which was my
way of being outside.
But I think, equally as nicheand nerdy as this is, since two
of us mentioned Mario Kart, arewe doing a disservice by not
mentioning Smash Brothers?

Chris (11:11):
I was going to say there's a couple other classic
multiplayer.
Goldeneye is one of the otherones.

Josh (11:17):
Perfect Dark, Perfect Dark , GoldenEye I spent a lot of
time in high school playingSmash Brothers with people.
Once we were done with theMario Kart it was like, oh, now
we're playing Smash Brothers and, just like Andy said, your last
place, your controller's gone.
You're going to someone else'scoming in on this and just
keeping a running kill count onthe day.

Chris (11:37):
And in college we did Mario Party as well.
Oh yeah, I mean Mario.

Josh (11:41):
Party is just.
I still play that with my kids,and my wife, who doesn't play
any video games at all, willplay Mario Party with us.

Matt (11:50):
I will totally pick on Jen , because she's the one that's
like I don't like video games.
She comes in to play one round,destroys everybody.
It's like I'm done, she's out.
She's done that for me in Halo,got to quit.
When she's on top, she'll getfive kills.
When I go to the bathroom,she's like you were getting shot
.
And I'm like great, and I comeback and my score's up by five.
I'm like thank you.

Matt, I'm going to tell you I think this is the best
cocktail you've made so far onthe podcast.

I'm not saying that that was bad, it's just not my taste.

I mean, and Chris doesn't like agave spirits, so he would
not like this, but I think thisis very good.

Maybe split that beer a littlebit, yeah, yeah.

I got to say lights.
The mouth on fire is such anover-exaggeration For those of
you out there who are listeningthat have had a tahini rimmed
margarita before and can handleany amount of spice.
It lightly heats up the tongue.

Chris (13:09):
I I wouldn't even it.
It does light it up, though notin fire, but like it the salt
really like sure, okay, like upthe taste buds.

Rob (13:15):
Yeah, all right, fair enough all right, it wasn't the
spiciest thing I've ever had,it's.
It's the smokiness that I wasnot a fan of.

Chris (13:26):
All right, yeah, so this trivia is broken down into
several categories, because Ifelt like I wanted not just like
random trivia, sure.
So here are the categories youguys can play along at home.
Our first category will be oldschool, so these will be
centered around games that werereleased before 2002.

Then, of course, if we do oldschool, we've got to do next gen
, so that category will be gamesthat are released after 2002.
Then, my personal favorite, theKB Mod keyboard mouse or die.
I'm a big, big PC gamer.
Oh boy, it's the argument ofthe ages.
These games are exclusive to pc.
Well, for the most part, then,we're gonna move on to hut, hut,

I think you're the most uh, most attuned to the pc game
and then, uh, you know, we'veall done it Up, up, down, down,

And then we are going to try afinal category of video game

So everybody who's played MarioKart knows the ghost that will

If you use your ghost, you willsteal another player's question
and be able to answer it, sosort of like the put it on their
tab, but like in reverse, whoa,I like it, it, and then I will

have put it on your tab as theice block.
You can ice someone out bygiving your question to somebody
else.
Remember, this is a littledifferent than our normal trivia
where we're counting downpoints or counting up points.
So use your power-ups wisely.
