It's been 8, 9, 10, 11, 12months, I don't know but this is
roshanda, your host of mattersof the heart.
With roshanda, shonda, I knowit's been a cool minute since I
was last on.
So much has been happening and,if I could do claps in between

all those things I just said,right, and so much has been
going on.
It's been a whirlwind of a year, and it's crazy to say this
that while it's been a whirlwindof a year, and it's crazy to
say this, that while it's been awhirlwind of a year, this year
is almost out.
Can you believe like I don'tremember January well, I do
remember January because that'swhen a lot of pivotal things
(00:54):
happen.
So I remember January very well.
But it seemed like after that,I don't know, like things went
jack and jill down the hill andwe're like three months to
Christmas.
So you know it's been awhirlwind of a year, from
seeking God's face to moving ina hurry Okay, moving in a hurry,
moving from my place that I wasat for like five years.

In a hurry, I can't sayunexpectedly, because the Lord
told me two years prior that Iwould be moving.
However, when the time came,things came really fast and
moved really fast.
I'm talking about like blink ofan eye Okay, I'm still catching
my breath from it, to be honest.
(01:38):
But God gave me a word even inthe move, as things unfold.
I'll be able to share moreabout that later, when it comes
up.
So you know, listen, I feltlike my creative juices had gone
to the tank.
You know, in that time it's notlike I wasn't getting anything
to talk about, it was justfinding the time to record.
(02:03):
With everything in the worldhappening and going on, I did
manage to get out a few videosover on my YouTube page, but I
feel like things are coming tooswiftly.
I don't have time to even writeit down quick enough.
While things have been shiftingduring this stint away, the
Spirit of the Lord gave mesomething in January of this
(02:24):
year that I'm going to put intoaction within the next month or
so Okay, within the next monthand that's a new podcast.
Now I know you're probablysaying, girl, I thought you just
said you ain't had time to donothing.
Things was coming to me.
Yes, right, it was coming to meduring this time.
I just ain't had time to likesit down and like pin nothing,

you know, and whatnot.
It's just been moving so fast.
But God gave me the vision for anew podcast.
Yep, a new podcast.
You heard me.
There's a new podcast coming,and I mean not just an episode,
same platform but a totally newpodcast name is on the rise and

I wanted to share it here.
First, on matters of the heart,because if you've been with me,
you know, if you've been with meon this podcast right, this
podcast started in like 21,.
Then you know, I like to speakwhat's on my heart and we've
covered quite a few differenttopics on this platform, with
Sunday thoughts and a Thursdaytip.

On the second Thursdays of themonth, I shared my heart and
what God has been giving me andI hope you've enjoyed those
episodes.
But I'll still record onmatters of the heart, because I
do have some Sunday things thatI like to share and at this
point in my life I'm justwhatever God tells me to do on
matters of the heart, because Ido have some Sunday things that
I like to share and at thispoint in my life I'm just
whatever God tells me to do.
That's exactly what I'm gonnado, like, are you like that?
(03:51):
I don't know if you're aChristian or not.
It's like you reach a point inyour life where it's like you
know what, whatever comes,whatever happens, that's exactly
what I'm gonna do.
I don't care what I have to doto achieve it, I don't care what
I have to do to get there.
I'm just going to make ithappen, like you know, whatever.
And so that's how I feel aboutGod.
Whatever he say, do that.
So exactly what I'm gonna doand it may look crazy to other
(04:13):
people, you know, because what Iused to do and I'm going off
script here, but maybe somebodyneeds to listen to it I used to
be so concerned with what peoplethought, or what people think.
It's like God would give mesomething and I would be so
concerned with, well, what isthis person going to say?
(04:35):
Well, I wonder if God isdealing with this person about
you know, about what he'sdealing with me about.
Well, I don't know.
This is not the climate forthat.
You know this is is.
I don't even see this, you know, because God is like that, like
he'll start dealing with youabout something, just like this
move for me.
God dealt with me about that twoyears ago and in a climate
(04:56):
where I I was comfortable, likeI didn't see the need to move,
everything was okay, my landlordwas good, you know, I mean, you
know whatever.
But I got this vision that Godshowed me of a U-Haul truck
backing up into my driveway andI'm like, okay, like I saw it,
but that was an indicator to meat that time that it's going to
(05:20):
be time to go.
And God had began to deal withme about getting rid of stuff.
Like I was taking stuff down inmy bedroom.
Two years before taking stuffdown, decluttering, it's like
the Holy Spirit was like youknow, get rid of some of this
stuff.
I was getting rid of stuff andwhat.
But it came a point I felt likeit was just me, because I didn't
really see anything happening.
(05:41):
And then I began to kind ofdoubt might as well be
transparent doubt and be likeokay, god, did you really show
me that?
Was that really you, or wasthis something that you know?
I just wanted to do?
You know what I mean.
And so even in that, I kind ofstopped for a moment, I kind of
paused and let me tell yousomething else.
(06:02):
You could have people in yourlife, because I had someone or
people in my life at the timeand I was telling them hey, I
got this feeling like God wantme to declutter, like God want
me to get rid of stuff, like Godwant me to do.
And people were saying, well,what you going to do about
furniture?
Well, what you going to sit on?
Well, what you going to, youknow well how you going to do
(06:27):
this.
Well, what do you mean?
It may be almost kind of doubtwhat God was even saying, but
that's how God is.
It's just like him, you know, totell you things in a season
where there's nothing happening.
That's just like him to tellyou things in a season where
nothing is happening, nothing isgoing on.
(06:48):
You don't see, it's sunnyoutside, the weather is great.
What do God mean?
Prepare for a storm, a reallyhuge storm is coming, the
weather has been perfect, youknow.
And whatever he knows, I alwayssay and I love to call God this
he's the, he's the father of alltimes.
Okay, he knows Every time,every season, for everything.
(07:12):
He knows every second, everyminute, every hour, every day,
every month, every year, youknow.
So that's what I love to callhim he's the father of all time.
He knows right.
So he's the God of a thousandyears.
He sees 10 years up the roadwhere we're only seeing what's

in front of us right now.
So pay attention in this seasonI don't know who this is for
Pay attention in this season towhat God is telling you to do,
because it's just like him totell you to do something in a
season where nothing is going on.
Listen to the voice of God.
Don't listen to people, becauseGod didn't give them the vision
, god didn't tell them what todo.
(07:54):
Okay, he might be speaking tothem, but he's speaking to them
according to whatever's going onin their life.
All right, he's not speaking tothem about what's going on in
your life.
He's speaking to you aboutwhat's going on in your life,
and then, you know, you let thechips fall where they may with
everybody else.
The Bible says and this iswhat's coming to my spirit right
now it's better to obey Godrather than man.
(08:17):
Okay, I'd rather obey God andlisten to him than listen to man
or listen to people.
You know, and then you got tobe careful, because everybody's
relationship with God is not thesame.
All right, it's not the same.
You know they, people say thesedays they got a relationship
with God and you got to testthat, you know, and see what
type of relationship that islike.
(08:38):
Do you really talk to them ordo you just talk to them when
you know you having a bad day,or when things you know, when
you done been hurt again, whenyou done been broken again, when
somebody done, you know, done,hurt your feelings or stomped
your toe, you know, then thereyou, there you go, you know you
go to God.
Is that the relationship youhave, the trauma relationship,
(08:59):
the hurt relationship, becausethat's all you'll know, god.
For If you got one of thoserelationships where somebody
could stump my toe today and patme on the back tomorrow, guess
what?
You know, I'm still.
I'm gonna tell God all about itLike I'm, I'm his friend.
You know, I have that type ofrelationship where it's no
matter what's happening in mylife, God knows about it and I'm
(09:20):
talking to him about it, thegood, the bad and the ugly.
Okay, do you have a good, badand ugly relationship with God?
So you know, but when Godshowed me that about that move,
I was like, okay, but I got alittle discouraged because it
was going on two years.
I know what I saw.
Nothing was happening until oneday, out of the blue, my
(09:42):
landlord, you know, said I havejust paid the rent.
He was like, hey, I need totalk to you about something.
I'm like what, just out of theblue?
But Holy Spirit spoke to meright then and there and said
but Holy Spirit spoke to meright then and there and said
he's going to ask you to move,he's going to sell the house.
And I'm like, okay, you know, Ialready knew.
So I, you know, we met andthat's exactly what he said.
(10:04):
You know, he done gotten to thepoint to where he no longer
wanted to rent and he justwanted to sell the place.
But you know, he was going togive me some time to get out and
whatever.
Long story short, I promise you, when he said that it was
months that went by, he neversaid anything else about it, you
know, and whatever I thoughtmaybe he forgot about it or
(10:25):
changed his mind.
But then I reached out to himlast year, like around November,
and I was like, hey, you know,I know we had a conversation
like months earlier and you wastalking about selling this place
.
Is that still your intention.
And he was like, oh, yeah,that's still my intention.
And then he was like, yeah,I'll give you about three or
four months to, you know, tomove out.
What?
(10:45):
So, you know, I'm like, oh mygosh.
And it was on then.
But because I had listened toGod in the dry season, when
nothing was happening, I didn'thave much to move, you know.
I mean, I got rid of some stuff.
You know, there was a lot ofpapers and you know, and stuff
like that.
But that move was a blessing.
(11:06):
That move cost me $83.
And guess what I did?
I was trying to look for somemovers to help me move, because
I had movers to help me move inand I paid like four hundred
dollars for that.
Okay, just to move around thecorner, all right, you could
have walked around the cornerand they charged me four hundred
dollars.
Well, they actually charged methree something.
(11:28):
I gave them a hundred dollarstoo, but because they was really
good, but still it was a lot ofmoney.
So I was like, okay, I need,but the Lord wanted to show me I
need you to trust me, okay.
And so I was like God and Iremember, on my knees one
morning, I told God, I saidlisten, I said I don't have the
(11:49):
money.
I don't have the money to move.
You know, I don't know whereI'm gonna to get this money from
.
And I got to move out like ASAP.
I didn't even have a placebecause I had been searching for
places for like months and itseemed like the rent was high.
It was $2,500 here, it was$2,800 here, it was $3,000 here.
Well, it was $1,200 here, butit wasn't in such a great
(12:11):
neighborhood.
Well, it was this and I waslike I can't afford these rent
prices.
You know, I remember when rentprices was $750.
Okay, and at the time I thoughtthat was a lot, but they ain't
that, ain't nothing compared towhat the rent prices is today.
And I began to tell God, I waslike I don't have it, god, I
just don't have it.
And the Lord, I felt like Moseswhen he was on the on that, on
(12:35):
the rock, you know, and he toldthem stand still and see the
salvation of the Lord take place.
Because they were gettingfretful.
You know, pharaoh's army waslike on their backs, like
Pharaoh's army was so close, itwas like they could feel his
breath on their backs and theywere getting nervous.
It was pharaoh's army, them anda big red sea in front of them.
(12:58):
Now, how was you know how we'regonna cross this, you know, and
whatever?
They began to doubt.
Probably was cursing moses out,you know, and whatever.
But he told them what the lordsaid stand still and see the
salvation of the Lord take place.
And God parted their Red Sea,put fire in between Pharaoh's
army and the children of Israel,and it stayed there long enough
(13:21):
until they crossed the sea.
Okay, I don't know if you justgot a word from that, but stand
still and see the salvation ofthe Lord take place.
God didn't just bring you tothe rock, to just leave you
there and then let your enemyslay you.
Okay, right before his eyes,the devil is alive.
(13:43):
No, god brought you therebecause he needs you to see
something.
All right.
So that red sea.
I know some of you are waitingon your red sea to part and God
is saying I'm about to part itbecause he definitely parted it
for me, because I didn't see noway.
I'm like you see what I made,god.
You see I don't have the moneyand God knows.
(14:05):
I went on a fast with my kids.
We fast the first three days ofevery month.
And so I went on a fast withthe kids.
The Bible says in Matthew 18and 20 that where two or three
are gathered together, touchingand agreeing, there he is in the
midst and that's me and myfamily's motto.
And so we touched and agreedand I told them, I said we gonna
(14:29):
fast together.
You know, because while wefasted, you, the first three
days of the month, you know,everybody was pretty much doing
their own thing, and then at theend we would come together and
just say what God dealt with uswith, you know, and all that.
But this month God was leadingme to do something different.
It was like no, y'all all cometogether.
We touched and agreed.
(14:49):
We fasted from 6am to 6.m.
Now, my kids weren't used tothat, but I'm telling you, by
the end of that fast we werelike wore out because it was
like our bodies had just taken,like it had just taken a toll
over all of our bodies and I'mlike what is going on?
(15:09):
The warfare?
You know what God was about todo.
That was a Monday.
Before we went on that fast.
I was like Lord, I don't evenhave a place.
And this man is telling me tomove and do all this stuff.
We went on a fast that Monday.
Okay, the end of the fast wasthat Wednesday and I told the
kids we coming together, I saidwe touching and agreeing, I said
(15:32):
because I'm believing, I saidthat God is going to open a door
for us to get a place Right.
And so that's exactly what Goddid.
We fasted that Monday throughthat Wednesday.
Let me tell you something bythat Friday Okay, that Friday
evening, before I could even getoff work, holy Spirit just told
(15:55):
me look on you know, zillow,and I was like Zillow wasn't
even thinking about it, wasn'teven you know what.
I looked on Zillow and the placethat I needed to move in came
right up.
It was right there.
I had never, you know, I hadbeen looking on Zillow right for
(16:16):
months and had not seenanything.
And I was like, my goodnesslord, what is happening, what is
taking place?
And it was right there and Icalled and everything, even in
that process, went so quick.
They allowed me to go and toview the place and the girl was
like you're going to need $1,300down.
(16:38):
I'm going to tell you I did nothave $1,300.
I'm like what do you mean?
$1,300?
I didn't have $1,300.
I'm like, as a matter of fact,I only had about $5 in my bank
account, and so I'm like I don'thave $1,300.
In my bank account, and so I'mlike I don't have $1,300.
(16:59):
I don't see how she was likewell, you know, because you had
to go through this little creditum thing and I didn't know if
that was gonna, you know, I waslike, well, it'll probably be a
couple of days before you knowthat, come back, you know, and
whatever, it came back in 24hours she was calling me and let
me know hey, your credit wasapproved, you need $1,300.
And but I wasn't gonna get paiduntil like later, you know, in
(17:19):
the week, because this was aMonday, I was like ma'am, I
don't, you know.
She was like well, you know, wedon't hold the places.
For that long she was basicallytelling me you either got it or
you don't.
Okay, we don't hold places likethat.
And so I was like okay, youknow.
Okay, got off the phone, didn'tknow.
So I was like okay, you know,okay, got off the phone, didn't
know what I was going to do.
The Lord led me to call mylandlord.
Long story short, I wasbeginning to talk to him and I
(17:44):
was like, hey, did you haveplans to give me my you know my
security deposit back?
You know?
He was like you need thesecurity deposit and I was like,
yeah.
He was like I'll go ahead onand give you that right now.
And I was like what?
He was like yes, you can goahead on.
Within seconds he sent me mysecurity deposit back, which was
$860.
(18:05):
So I was still short but I waslike, okay, I got some of it.
The week seemed like it went soslow and the girl was calling me
from the office and she waslike people are really wanting
this place.
She was like you know, do youhave the money?
And I told I said, ma'am, I'mnot gonna have the rest of the
money until Friday, when I getpaid.
I said and you know, dependingon how the pay falls, it may be
(18:29):
Friday.
I said it may be next Monday.
She was like well, I don't knowif we can have.
You know we can.
We can hold the place that long.
She said, you know, cause it'sfirst come, first serve.
Long story short again, byFriday, you know I'm thinking
well, the check ain't gonna showup in my account until Monday.
So I mean, god, if this is ofyou, then you're going to have
to do something.
The check this has neverhappened with my job.
(18:53):
The check was showed up in myaccount Thursday night.
That check showed up.
I was like what you know?
But, goodness, god, you are sogood.
I was able to get the otherhalf of the money, pay the
security deposit and there we go.
But then I was like god, okay,now how we gonna move, I don't
see how we gonna do that.
(19:13):
God blessed me to get onfacebook.
I got on the marketplacebecause I had not been on
facebook for like eight monthsat the time and I was like god
was like, get on the marketplace.
I sold some things on themarketplace, you know, and then
everything else the lord blessedme to.
You know, take out me and mykids.
We took stuff out to the dump,you know as much as we could.
(19:35):
And blessed through a sister ofmine.
I was just talking to her,didn't you know?
It was just talk.
Next thing, I know she came tomy office.
Her name is Christy and I loveher so much.
She came to my office and shewas like girl, she's like God,
just laid on my heart.
She said here.
She said please don't beoffended.
She said but I just want tobless you.
(19:56):
She blessed me with $75.
And I was like girl, you don'thave to do that.
She she was like I know you'retrying to do stuff.
She said God laid it on myheart to do so.
I just wanted to do that's $75.
Went towards the hall.
I had asked another friend ofmine.
I was like God, I don't knowabout movers.
But this other friend that Iasked, I looked at I mean we was
(20:18):
talking and I said girl.
I said what did you do?
I said who moved you?
Because we stayed in the samearea.
I'm thinking she gonna tell mesomebody who moved her and I'm
gonna reach out to them.
And whatever she said girl, shesaid these kids and a U-Haul.
Well, mind you, earlier in mystory I said in my vision, two
years ago God showed me a U-Haulbacking up into the driveway
(20:43):
and so I was like I told her.
I said you know what, thank you.
I said that's confirmation forme.
The U-Haul was $83.
$83 move.
It was only me and my kids andwe got everything up out the
house, everything that was left.
In one trip I took the U-Haulback, probably within less than
it probably wasn't even an hour.
I took the U-Haul back,probably within less than it
(21:04):
probably wasn't even an hour.
I took the U-Haul back and wejust did everything else.
God is so good, and I know thisstarted out about me telling you
why I've been gone for so long,you know, and whatever, but
trust me, you are getting newstoday.
I ain't even shared any placeelse, not even on the YouTube
channel, but I just want you toknow how good God is.
(21:27):
I didn't know what was going onthese last eight months, you
know, it was just.
It was a lot of things.
I, you know, broke a lot ofties with people, and when I say
with people, let me, let me,let me add some context around
that.
I broke ties with people whoGod told me to break ties with,
and they were old relationships,you know, with people that I
(21:50):
had given my number to, thatwasn't serving me anymore, who
God had really told me to askyears ago, and I just didn't,
you know.
I asked them for a little whileand then I, you know, opened
the door back up to friendshipand you know, and whatever, and
God told me walk away.
(22:10):
And that's exactly what I did.
So I ended up changing mynumber.
In no way, you know, did I?
Was I changing it for church,family or anything like that?
I changed it for other otherrelationships that I had either
started or had going on.
You know, and whatever,sometimes when God puts you in a
(22:30):
season of quietness, there arecertain things or certain ties
that you have to let go of.
There are certain people thatcan't go with you and I know
you've heard this before to yournext level.
Right, they can't go with you,to your next level, they can't
travel with you.
Okay, they may got their bag.
They need to be cut off, youknow, because where God wants to
(22:52):
take you or what God wants todo with you and for you, those
people can't come along.
Maybe they were the ones thatalways pull you down, or maybe
they were the ones that alwaysdistract you to keep you from
doing the things that God hascalled you to do, and so God
will put a wedge in between youand them.
And, trust me, when God sayswalk away, he means walk a way.
(23:17):
Okay, after I got my numberchange, I felt bad because I was
meaning to go back and give itto the people that our family,
you know, certain church familyand whatever.
And I just never did it.
You know, I was just trying tosee what God wanted to do and
how he wanted to do and whatever.
And then two, when you're in aseason like that, you don't want
(23:38):
everybody speaking to you, youdon't want everybody's you know
opinion.
You don't want cause somepeople want to be nosy.
Let's be honest and real.
Some people just want to benosy, just want to find out
what's going on.
Well, why are you doing this?
Well, why is this?
Well, why is that?
Are they texting you and askingyou certain questions?
And this was the season for mewhere I just didn't want to get
(23:59):
caught up in no unnecessaryconversations or a conversation
where I'm supposed to be seekingGod and seeing what he wants to
do and I'm being caughtgossiping, you know, I'm being
caught talking about things thatGod didn't give me permission
to talk about and that type ofstuff.
So it was really like I was ina cocoon, you know, and whatever
(24:22):
.
I've had people to, you know,in a cocoon, you know, and
whatever I've had people to, youknow, some people to walk away
for no apparent reason, don'ttalk to me anymore.
I have no idea why, but to Godbe the glory, you know I mean.
So it's just been one of thosepulling away.
You know, type years.
It's not because, you know,gosh, I am.
So God just loves me.
(24:42):
It's nothing, nothing like that.
Okay, trust me, god loveseverybody, uh, and he don't have
favorites, okay.
But you know, it's nothing likethat, it's just a necessary
adjustment, okay.
So, anyway, listen, I went onwith that.
I don't know, I did not mean togo all into that, but listen,
(25:05):
that was for somebody.
I pray, okay, say amen, you canpass around the church plate
and then we can, you know, forthat message.
Then we going to move on, gosh,as the Lord wills us, to what
this podcast is really about.
But you know, hopefully, waitfor God, wait on God, cause I
remember, if you don't getnothing else, it's just like God
(25:27):
to tell you to do something ina season where nothing is
happening.
Okay, that's just like God.
He's the father of a thousand,he's the father of time, he's
the father of a thousand years.
He knows what you don't know,he sees what you don't see.
Okay, so you're going to haveto trust him, just trust him,
trust the process, trust him, Ipromise you.
(25:50):
And you're going to be hurt,you know, because you got to let
some things go, you got to pullaway from some things and
you're going to feel so aloneand so taken back, like you know
.
God did you mean for me to bethis quiet, for this alone?
But trust me, when you emerge,when God emerges, you it's going
(26:10):
to, you're going to look aroundand you're going to see the
reasons why he did it.
Okay, it's for your good, it'sjust a necessary adjustment, as
Pastor Jerry Flowers said.
But let me, because I know I'mI am over.
This is probably the longestepisode this podcast has ever
seen.
But listen.
This other podcast will allowme to walk in the gifting of

being a personal developmentcoach with a spiritual twist.
Right, because, let's face it,most of our battles are
spiritual.
Okay, as it is with matters ofthe heart, it's never preaching
or bashing or conforming anyoneto believe what they may not
believe, but for individuals tosee things from a different
perspective and seeing God'smessage in plain sight.

So I received my coachingcertification back in 22 and I
wondered what in the world wouldI do with this?
Like I took the class, I paidfor the class, you know, and I
was like, okay, I'm thinking I'mgonna do something right after
that.
You know, okay, I'm about toget things going.
And there was crickets for twoyears, until January, right.
(27:19):
So thing is, before there was aname to it, I was already
already a personal developmentcoach or an encourager.
It's the age of 18, I lovedhelping and talking with people.
God would give me what to sayin a time of needs encouragement
in which God allowed me tocreate a blog in which I ran for
five years, 20.
I went to YouTube, you know,and one came.
(27:41):
Matters of the heart.

It's been 8, 9, 10, 11, 12months, I don't know but this is

With roshanda, shonda, I knowit's been a cool minute since I
was last on.
So much has been happening and,if I could do claps in between

all those things I just said,right, and so much has been
going on.
It's been a whirlwind of a year, and it's crazy to say this
that while it's been a whirlwindof a year, and it's crazy to
say this, that while it's been awhirlwind of a year, this year
is almost out.
Can you believe like I don'tremember January well, I do
remember January because that'swhen a lot of pivotal things
(00:54):
happen.
So I remember January very well.
But it seemed like after that,I don't know, like things went
jack and jill down the hill andwe're like three months to
Christmas.
So you know it's been awhirlwind of a year, from
seeking God's face to moving ina hurry Okay, moving in a hurry,
moving from my place that I wasat for like five years.
(01:18):
In a hurry, I can't sayunexpectedly, because the Lord
told me two years prior that Iwould be moving.
However, when the time came,things came really fast and
moved really fast.
I'm talking about like blink ofan eye Okay, I'm still catching
my breath from it, to be honest.
(01:38):
But God gave me a word even inthe move, as things unfold.
I'll be able to share moreabout that later, when it comes
up.
So you know, listen, I feltlike my creative juices had gone
to the tank.
You know, in that time it's notlike I wasn't getting anything
to talk about, it was justfinding the time to record.
(02:03):
With everything in the worldhappening and going on, I did
manage to get out a few videosover on my YouTube page, but I
feel like things are coming tooswiftly.
I don't have time to even writeit down quick enough.
While things have been shiftingduring this stint away, the
Spirit of the Lord gave mesomething in January of this
(02:24):
year that I'm going to put intoaction within the next month or
so Okay, within the next monthand that's a new podcast.
Now I know you're probablysaying, girl, I thought you just
said you ain't had time to donothing.
Things was coming to me.
Yes, right, it was coming to meduring this time.
I just ain't had time to likesit down and like pin nothing,
(02:48):
you know, and whatnot.
It's just been moving so fast.
But God gave me the vision for anew podcast.
Yep, a new podcast.
You heard me.
There's a new podcast coming,and I mean not just an episode,
same platform but a totally newpodcast name is on the rise and
(03:08):
I wanted to share it here.
First, on matters of the heart,because if you've been with me,
you know, if you've been with meon this podcast right, this
podcast started in like 21,.
Then you know, I like to speakwhat's on my heart and we've
covered quite a few differenttopics on this platform, with
Sunday thoughts and a Thursdaytip.
(03:30):
On the second Thursdays of themonth, I shared my heart and
what God has been giving me andI hope you've enjoyed those
episodes.
But I'll still record onmatters of the heart, because I
do have some Sunday things thatI like to share and at this
point in my life I'm justwhatever God tells me to do on
matters of the heart, because Ido have some Sunday things that
I like to share and at thispoint in my life I'm just
whatever God tells me to do.
That's exactly what I'm gonnado, like, are you like that?
(03:51):
I don't know if you're aChristian or not.
It's like you reach a point inyour life where it's like you
know what, whatever comes,whatever happens, that's exactly
what I'm gonna do.
I don't care what I have to doto achieve it, I don't care what
I have to do to get there.
I'm just going to make ithappen, like you know, whatever.
And so that's how I feel aboutGod.
Whatever he say, do that.
So exactly what I'm gonna doand it may look crazy to other
(04:13):
people, you know, because what Iused to do and I'm going off
script here, but maybe somebodyneeds to listen to it I used to
be so concerned with what peoplethought, or what people think.
It's like God would give mesomething and I would be so
concerned with, well, what isthis person going to say?
(04:35):
Well, I wonder if God isdealing with this person about
you know, about what he'sdealing with me about.
Well, I don't know.
This is not the climate forthat.
You know this is is.
I don't even see this, you know, because God is like that, like
he'll start dealing with youabout something, just like this
move for me.
God dealt with me about that twoyears ago and in a climate
(04:56):
where I I was comfortable, likeI didn't see the need to move,
everything was okay, my landlordwas good, you know, I mean, you
know whatever.
But I got this vision that Godshowed me of a U-Haul truck
backing up into my driveway andI'm like, okay, like I saw it,
but that was an indicator to meat that time that it's going to
(05:20):
be time to go.
And God had began to deal withme about getting rid of stuff.
Like I was taking stuff down inmy bedroom.
Two years before taking stuffdown, decluttering, it's like
the Holy Spirit was like youknow, get rid of some of this
stuff.
I was getting rid of stuff andwhat.
But it came a point I felt likeit was just me, because I didn't
really see anything happening.
(05:41):
And then I began to kind ofdoubt might as well be
transparent doubt and be likeokay, god, did you really show
me that?
Was that really you, or wasthis something that you know?
I just wanted to do?
You know what I mean.
And so even in that, I kind ofstopped for a moment, I kind of
paused and let me tell yousomething else.
(06:02):
You could have people in yourlife, because I had someone or
people in my life at the timeand I was telling them hey, I
got this feeling like God wantme to declutter, like God want
me to get rid of stuff, like Godwant me to do.
And people were saying, well,what you going to do about
furniture?
Well, what you going to sit on?
Well, what you going to, youknow well how you going to do
(06:27):
this.
Well, what do you mean?
It may be almost kind of doubtwhat God was even saying, but
that's how God is.
It's just like him, you know, totell you things in a season
where there's nothing happening.
That's just like him to tellyou things in a season where
nothing is happening, nothing isgoing on.
(06:48):
You don't see, it's sunnyoutside, the weather is great.
What do God mean?
Prepare for a storm, a reallyhuge storm is coming, the
weather has been perfect, youknow.
And whatever he knows, I alwayssay and I love to call God this
he's the, he's the father of alltimes.
Okay, he knows Every time,every season, for everything.
(07:12):
He knows every second, everyminute, every hour, every day,
every month, every year, youknow.
So that's what I love to callhim he's the father of all time.
He knows right.
So he's the God of a thousandyears.
He sees 10 years up the roadwhere we're only seeing what's
(07:32):
in front of us right now.
So pay attention in this seasonI don't know who this is for
Pay attention in this season towhat God is telling you to do,
because it's just like him totell you to do something in a
season where nothing is going on.
Listen to the voice of God.
Don't listen to people, becauseGod didn't give them the vision
, god didn't tell them what todo.
(07:54):
Okay, he might be speaking tothem, but he's speaking to them
according to whatever's going onin their life.
All right, he's not speaking tothem about what's going on in
your life.
He's speaking to you aboutwhat's going on in your life,
and then, you know, you let thechips fall where they may with
everybody else.
The Bible says and this iswhat's coming to my spirit right
now it's better to obey Godrather than man.
(08:17):
Okay, I'd rather obey God andlisten to him than listen to man
or listen to people.
You know, and then you got tobe careful, because everybody's
relationship with God is not thesame.
All right, it's not the same.
You know they, people say thesedays they got a relationship
with God and you got to testthat, you know, and see what
type of relationship that islike.
(08:38):
Do you really talk to them ordo you just talk to them when
you know you having a bad day,or when things you know, when
you done been hurt again, whenyou done been broken again, when
somebody done, you know, done,hurt your feelings or stomped
your toe, you know, then thereyou, there you go, you know you
go to God.
Is that the relationship youhave, the trauma relationship,
(08:59):
the hurt relationship, becausethat's all you'll know, god.
For If you got one of thoserelationships where somebody
could stump my toe today and patme on the back tomorrow, guess
what?
You know, I'm still.
I'm gonna tell God all about itLike I'm, I'm his friend.
You know, I have that type ofrelationship where it's no
matter what's happening in mylife, God knows about it and I'm
(09:20):
talking to him about it, thegood, the bad and the ugly.
Okay, do you have a good, badand ugly relationship with God?
So you know, but when Godshowed me that about that move,
I was like, okay, but I got alittle discouraged because it
was going on two years.
I know what I saw.
Nothing was happening until oneday, out of the blue, my
(09:42):
landlord, you know, said I havejust paid the rent.
He was like, hey, I need totalk to you about something.
I'm like what, just out of theblue?
But Holy Spirit spoke to meright then and there and said
but Holy Spirit spoke to meright then and there and said
he's going to ask you to move,he's going to sell the house.
And I'm like, okay, you know, Ialready knew.
So I, you know, we met andthat's exactly what he said.
(10:04):
You know, he done gotten to thepoint to where he no longer
wanted to rent and he justwanted to sell the place.
But you know, he was going togive me some time to get out and
whatever.
Long story short, I promise you, when he said that it was
months that went by, he neversaid anything else about it, you
know, and whatever I thoughtmaybe he forgot about it or
(10:25):
changed his mind.
But then I reached out to himlast year, like around November,
and I was like, hey, you know,I know we had a conversation
like months earlier and you wastalking about selling this place
.
Is that still your intention.
And he was like, oh, yeah,that's still my intention.
And then he was like, yeah,I'll give you about three or
four months to, you know, tomove out.
What?
(10:45):
So, you know, I'm like, oh mygosh.
And it was on then.
But because I had listened toGod in the dry season, when
nothing was happening, I didn'thave much to move, you know.
I mean, I got rid of some stuff.
You know, there was a lot ofpapers and you know, and stuff
like that.
But that move was a blessing.
(11:06):
That move cost me $83.
And guess what I did?
I was trying to look for somemovers to help me move, because
I had movers to help me move inand I paid like four hundred
dollars for that.
Okay, just to move around thecorner, all right, you could
have walked around the cornerand they charged me four hundred
dollars.
Well, they actually charged methree something.
(11:28):
I gave them a hundred dollarstoo, but because they was really
good, but still it was a lot ofmoney.
So I was like, okay, I need,but the Lord wanted to show me I
need you to trust me, okay.
And so I was like God and Iremember, on my knees one
morning, I told God, I saidlisten, I said I don't have the
(11:49):
money.
I don't have the money to move.
You know, I don't know whereI'm gonna to get this money from
.
And I got to move out like ASAP.
I didn't even have a placebecause I had been searching for
places for like months and itseemed like the rent was high.
It was $2,500 here, it was$2,800 here, it was $3,000 here.
Well, it was $1,200 here, butit wasn't in such a great
(12:11):
neighborhood.
Well, it was this and I waslike I can't afford these rent
prices.
You know, I remember when rentprices was $750.
Okay, and at the time I thoughtthat was a lot, but they ain't
that, ain't nothing compared towhat the rent prices is today.
And I began to tell God, I waslike I don't have it, god, I
just don't have it.
And the Lord, I felt like Moseswhen he was on the on that, on
(12:35):
the rock, you know, and he toldthem stand still and see the
salvation of the Lord take place.
Because they were gettingfretful.
You know, pharaoh's army waslike on their backs, like
Pharaoh's army was so close, itwas like they could feel his
breath on their backs and theywere getting nervous.
It was pharaoh's army, them anda big red sea in front of them.
(12:58):
Now, how was you know how we'regonna cross this, you know, and
whatever?
They began to doubt.
Probably was cursing moses out,you know, and whatever.
But he told them what the lordsaid stand still and see the
salvation of the Lord take place.
And God parted their Red Sea,put fire in between Pharaoh's
army and the children of Israel,and it stayed there long enough
(13:21):
until they crossed the sea.
Okay, I don't know if you justgot a word from that, but stand
still and see the salvation ofthe Lord take place.
God didn't just bring you tothe rock, to just leave you
there and then let your enemyslay you.
Okay, right before his eyes,the devil is alive.
(13:43):
No, god brought you therebecause he needs you to see
something.
All right.
So that red sea.
I know some of you are waitingon your red sea to part and God
is saying I'm about to part itbecause he definitely parted it
for me, because I didn't see noway.
I'm like you see what I made,god.
You see I don't have the moneyand God knows.
(14:05):
I went on a fast with my kids.
We fast the first three days ofevery month.
And so I went on a fast withthe kids.
The Bible says in Matthew 18and 20 that where two or three
are gathered together, touchingand agreeing, there he is in the
midst and that's me and myfamily's motto.
And so we touched and agreedand I told them, I said we gonna
(14:29):
fast together.
You know, because while wefasted, you, the first three
days of the month, you know,everybody was pretty much doing
their own thing, and then at theend we would come together and
just say what God dealt with uswith, you know, and all that.
But this month God was leadingme to do something different.
It was like no, y'all all cometogether.
We touched and agreed.
(14:49):
We fasted from 6am to 6.m.
Now, my kids weren't used tothat, but I'm telling you, by
the end of that fast we werelike wore out because it was
like our bodies had just taken,like it had just taken a toll
over all of our bodies and I'mlike what is going on?
(15:09):
The warfare?
You know what God was about todo.
That was a Monday.
Before we went on that fast.
I was like Lord, I don't evenhave a place.
And this man is telling me tomove and do all this stuff.
We went on a fast that Monday.
Okay, the end of the fast wasthat Wednesday and I told the
kids we coming together, I saidwe touching and agreeing, I said
(15:32):
because I'm believing, I saidthat God is going to open a door
for us to get a place Right.
And so that's exactly what Goddid.
We fasted that Monday throughthat Wednesday.
Let me tell you something bythat Friday Okay, that Friday
evening, before I could even getoff work, holy Spirit just told
(15:55):
me look on you know, zillow,and I was like Zillow wasn't
even thinking about it, wasn'teven you know what.
I looked on Zillow and the placethat I needed to move in came
right up.
It was right there.
I had never, you know, I hadbeen looking on Zillow right for
(16:16):
months and had not seenanything.
And I was like, my goodnesslord, what is happening, what is
taking place?
And it was right there and Icalled and everything, even in
that process, went so quick.
They allowed me to go and toview the place and the girl was
like you're going to need $1,300down.
(16:38):
I'm going to tell you I did nothave $1,300.
I'm like what do you mean?
$1,300?
I didn't have $1,300.
I'm like, as a matter of fact,I only had about $5 in my bank
account, and so I'm like I don'thave $1,300.
In my bank account, and so I'mlike I don't have $1,300.
(16:59):
I don't see how she was likewell, you know, because you had
to go through this little creditum thing and I didn't know if
that was gonna, you know, I waslike, well, it'll probably be a
couple of days before you knowthat, come back, you know, and
whatever, it came back in 24hours she was calling me and let
me know hey, your credit wasapproved, you need $1,300.
And but I wasn't gonna get paiduntil like later, you know, in
(17:19):
the week, because this was aMonday, I was like ma'am, I
don't, you know.
She was like well, you know, wedon't hold the places.
For that long she was basicallytelling me you either got it or
you don't.
Okay, we don't hold places likethat.
And so I was like okay, youknow.
Okay, got off the phone, didn'tknow.
So I was like okay, you know,okay, got off the phone, didn't
know what I was going to do.
The Lord led me to call mylandlord.
Long story short, I wasbeginning to talk to him and I
(17:44):
was like, hey, did you haveplans to give me my you know my
security deposit back?
You know?
He was like you need thesecurity deposit and I was like,
yeah.
He was like I'll go ahead onand give you that right now.
And I was like what?
He was like yes, you can goahead on.
Within seconds he sent me mysecurity deposit back, which was
$860.
(18:05):
So I was still short but I waslike, okay, I got some of it.
The week seemed like it went soslow and the girl was calling me
from the office and she waslike people are really wanting
this place.
She was like you know, do youhave the money?
And I told I said, ma'am, I'mnot gonna have the rest of the
money until Friday, when I getpaid.
I said and you know, dependingon how the pay falls, it may be
(18:29):
Friday.
I said it may be next Monday.
She was like well, I don't knowif we can have.
You know we can.
We can hold the place that long.
She said, you know, cause it'sfirst come, first serve.
Long story short again, byFriday, you know I'm thinking
well, the check ain't gonna showup in my account until Monday.
So I mean, god, if this is ofyou, then you're going to have
to do something.
The check this has neverhappened with my job.
(18:53):
The check was showed up in myaccount Thursday night.
That check showed up.
I was like what you know?
But, goodness, god, you are sogood.
I was able to get the otherhalf of the money, pay the
security deposit and there we go.
But then I was like god, okay,now how we gonna move, I don't
see how we gonna do that.
(19:13):
God blessed me to get onfacebook.
I got on the marketplacebecause I had not been on
facebook for like eight monthsat the time and I was like god
was like, get on the marketplace.
I sold some things on themarketplace, you know, and then
everything else the lord blessedme to.
You know, take out me and mykids.
We took stuff out to the dump,you know as much as we could.
(19:35):
And blessed through a sister ofmine.
I was just talking to her,didn't you know?
It was just talk.
Next thing, I know she came tomy office.
Her name is Christy and I loveher so much.
She came to my office and shewas like girl, she's like God,
just laid on my heart.
She said here.
She said please don't beoffended.
She said but I just want tobless you.
(19:56):
She blessed me with $75.
And I was like girl, you don'thave to do that.
She she was like I know you'retrying to do stuff.
She said God laid it on myheart to do so.
I just wanted to do that's $75.
Went towards the hall.
I had asked another friend ofmine.
I was like God, I don't knowabout movers.
But this other friend that Iasked, I looked at I mean we was
(20:18):
talking and I said girl.
I said what did you do?
I said who moved you?
Because we stayed in the samearea.
I'm thinking she gonna tell mesomebody who moved her and I'm
gonna reach out to them.
And whatever she said girl, shesaid these kids and a U-Haul.
Well, mind you, earlier in mystory I said in my vision, two
years ago God showed me a U-Haulbacking up into the driveway
(20:43):
and so I was like I told her.
I said you know what, thank you.
I said that's confirmation forme.
The U-Haul was $83.
$83 move.
It was only me and my kids andwe got everything up out the
house, everything that was left.
In one trip I took the U-Haulback, probably within less than
it probably wasn't even an hour.
I took the U-Haul back,probably within less than it
(21:04):
probably wasn't even an hour.
I took the U-Haul back and wejust did everything else.
God is so good, and I know thisstarted out about me telling you
why I've been gone for so long,you know, and whatever, but
trust me, you are getting newstoday.
I ain't even shared any placeelse, not even on the YouTube
channel, but I just want you toknow how good God is.
(21:27):
I didn't know what was going onthese last eight months, you
know, it was just.
It was a lot of things.
I, you know, broke a lot ofties with people, and when I say
with people, let me, let me,let me add some context around
that.
I broke ties with people whoGod told me to break ties with,
and they were old relationships,you know, with people that I
(21:50):
had given my number to, thatwasn't serving me anymore, who
God had really told me to askyears ago, and I just didn't,
you know.
I asked them for a little whileand then I, you know, opened
the door back up to friendshipand you know, and whatever, and
God told me walk away.
(22:10):
And that's exactly what I did.
So I ended up changing mynumber.
In no way, you know, did I?
Was I changing it for church,family or anything like that?
I changed it for other otherrelationships that I had either
started or had going on.
You know, and whatever,sometimes when God puts you in a
(22:30):
season of quietness, there arecertain things or certain ties
that you have to let go of.
There are certain people thatcan't go with you and I know
you've heard this before to yournext level.
Right, they can't go with you,to your next level, they can't
travel with you.
Okay, they may got their bag.
They need to be cut off, youknow, because where God wants to
(22:52):
take you or what God wants todo with you and for you, those
people can't come along.
Maybe they were the ones thatalways pull you down, or maybe
they were the ones that alwaysdistract you to keep you from
doing the things that God hascalled you to do, and so God
will put a wedge in between youand them.
And, trust me, when God sayswalk away, he means walk a way.
(23:17):
Okay, after I got my numberchange, I felt bad because I was
meaning to go back and give itto the people that our family,
you know, certain church familyand whatever.
And I just never did it.
You know, I was just trying tosee what God wanted to do and
how he wanted to do and whatever.
And then two, when you're in aseason like that, you don't want
(23:38):
everybody speaking to you, youdon't want everybody's you know
opinion.
You don't want cause somepeople want to be nosy.
Let's be honest and real.
Some people just want to benosy, just want to find out
what's going on.
Well, why are you doing this?
Well, why is this?
Well, why is that?
Are they texting you and askingyou certain questions?
And this was the season for mewhere I just didn't want to get
(23:59):
caught up in no unnecessaryconversations or a conversation
where I'm supposed to be seekingGod and seeing what he wants to
do and I'm being caughtgossiping, you know, I'm being
caught talking about things thatGod didn't give me permission
to talk about and that type ofstuff.
So it was really like I was ina cocoon, you know, and whatever
(24:22):
.
I've had people to, you know,in a cocoon, you know, and
whatever I've had people to, youknow, some people to walk away
for no apparent reason, don'ttalk to me anymore.
I have no idea why, but to Godbe the glory, you know I mean.
So it's just been one of thosepulling away.
You know, type years.
It's not because, you know,gosh, I am.
So God just loves me.
(24:42):
It's nothing, nothing like that.
Okay, trust me, god loveseverybody, uh, and he don't have
favorites, okay.
But you know, it's nothing likethat, it's just a necessary
adjustment, okay.
So, anyway, listen, I went onwith that.
I don't know, I did not mean togo all into that, but listen,
(25:05):
that was for somebody.
I pray, okay, say amen, you canpass around the church plate
and then we can, you know, forthat message.
Then we going to move on, gosh,as the Lord wills us, to what
this podcast is really about.
But you know, hopefully, waitfor God, wait on God, cause I
remember, if you don't getnothing else, it's just like God
(25:27):
to tell you to do something ina season where nothing is
happening.
Okay, that's just like God.
He's the father of a thousand,he's the father of time, he's
the father of a thousand years.
He knows what you don't know,he sees what you don't see.
Okay, so you're going to haveto trust him, just trust him,
trust the process, trust him, Ipromise you.
(25:50):
And you're going to be hurt,you know, because you got to let
some things go, you got to pullaway from some things and
you're going to feel so aloneand so taken back, like you know
.
God did you mean for me to bethis quiet, for this alone?
But trust me, when you emerge,when God emerges, you it's going
(26:10):
to, you're going to look aroundand you're going to see the
reasons why he did it.
Okay, it's for your good, it'sjust a necessary adjustment, as
Pastor Jerry Flowers said.
But let me, because I know I'mI am over.

spiritual.
Okay, as it is with matters ofthe heart, it's never preaching
or bashing or conforming anyoneto believe what they may not
believe, but for individuals tosee things from a different
perspective and seeing God'smessage in plain sight.

So I received my coachingcertification back in 22 and I
wondered what in the world wouldI do with this?
Like I took the class, I paidfor the class, you know, and I
was like, okay, I'm thinking I'mgonna do something right after
that.
You know, okay, I'm about toget things going.
And there was crickets for twoyears, until January, right.

So thing is, before there was aname to it, I was already
already a personal developmentcoach or an encourager.
It's the age of 18, I lovedhelping and talking with people.
God would give me what to sayin a time of needs encouragement
in which God allowed me tocreate a blog in which I ran for
five years, 20.
I went to YouTube, you know,and one came.

Yes, I am so excited, as thispodcast is for any girl who has
girlfriends, but maybe you'vebeen friends for so long you
have simply lost touch with oneanother.

silent.
