Snorkel and Max imaginationexplorers of underwater
escapades.
It was a warm, lazy afternoonand Max was staring at the
garden pond in his backyard.
Snorkel lay beside him, hisnose twitching as he watched the
ripples on the water.
Snorkel Max said suddenly whatif there's a whole underwater

world we haven't discovered yet?
"'a place full of mysterieswaiting to be solved'.
Before Snorkel could bark inagreement, the sound of water
bubbling caught their attention.
A stream of glowing bubblesrose from the pond, encircling
them.
In a blink, the backyardtransformed into an underwater
paradise.

Max and Snorkel now wore scubagear, with Snorkel's tail
wagging as he swam circlesaround Max.
They were surrounded byshimmering coral reefs and
schools of colourful fish.
Ahead of them stood the grandgates of the Coral Kingdom,
carved from sparkling seashells.

Let's explore, buddy.
Max said, swimming toward thegates.
But before they could enter, aworried crab scuttled toward
them.
Stop right there, the crab said, waving its claws.
You can't enter the CoralKingdom.
The Queen Sea Turtle is missingand the entire kingdom is in
chaos.

Max exchanged a determined lookwith Snorkel.
Don't worry, we're great atsolving mysteries.
We'll find the Queen and bringher back Inside the Coral
Kingdom.
The streets were eerily quiet.
The once lively coral buildingslooked dim and the sea
creatures whispered nervouslyabout the missing queen.
Snorkel sniffed the water,picking up a faint, glowing

trail.
They followed it to the queen'spalace, a towering structure
made of golden coral.
Inside they found the queen'ssea turtle's crown lying on the
floor, surrounded by scatteredsand.
Looks like there was a struggle, max muttered.
Examining the area, snorkelbarked and nudged a strange
object half buried in the sand apiece of shiny black coral.

That's weird, max said, holdingit up.
This doesn't look like itbelongs here.
The crab guard from earlierscuttled in that's from the
shadow trench, it exclaimed.
That's where all the badcurrents and spooky creatures
live.
Max and Snorkel swam deeper intothe ocean following the black
coral trail toward the shadowtrench.

The water grew darker andcolder as they approached the
deep, shadowy ravine.
Strange shapes moved in thedistance and Max tightened his
grip on Snorkel's harness.
Stay close, snorkel, this placeis giving me the creeps.
In the depths of the trenchthey spotted the queen sea

turtle trapped in a swirlingcurrent and surrounded by
glowing jellyfish.
The jellyfish didn't seemhostile, but their glowing
tendrils were forming a barrierpreventing the Queen from
escaping.
Hang on, your majesty, we'llget you out, max shouted.
Max noticed the jellyfish werereacting to vibrations in the

water.
When Snorkel barked, theirglowing tentacles flickered.
Snorkel, maybe they're tryingto communicate?
Max said he pulled out hisunderwater communicator, which
also doubled as a keyboard.
He played a series of softnotes and the jellyfish pulsed
in response.
They're not trying to hurt theQueen, they're protecting her.

Max realized something scaredthem and they think keeping her
here will keep her safe.
Snorkel growled softly,sniffing out the real threat.
From behind a rock, a shadowyeel slithered out, its eyes
glowing red.
It had been scaring thejellyfish to create chaos in the
coral kingdom.

Snorkel, let's scare it away.
Max shouted.
Snorkel swam circles around theeel, creating a whirlwind of
sand.
Max used his communicator toemit a loud pulse, startling the
eel and sending it fleeing backinto the trench.
The jellyfish, realising thedanger was gone, released the

queen sea turtle.
She swam to Max and Snorkel,her golden shell shimmering with
gratitude Back in the coralkingdom.
The queen's return brought lifeback to the underwater city.
The coral glowed brightly andthe sea creatures cheered as the
queen crowned Max and Snorkelas honorary heroes of the coral

The Queen said.
Our kingdom is safe because ofyou.
Snorkel wagged his tail,clearly enjoying the attention.
Max smiled All in a day's work.

handed Max a glowing pearl.

As Max and Snorkel swam back totheir backyard, the glowing
pearl began to hum softly.

Just as Max spoke, the groundbeneath them shimmered and the

backyard transformed into anendless blue lagoon.
Floating jellyfish glowed likelanterns and tiny fish darted
between the coral In the centreof the lagoon stood a tall mossy
rock with a seashell throne atthe top.
Whoa, where are we now?
Max, wondered aloud, as if toanswer.

A small shimmering sea dragonpoked its head out from behind
the throne.
Its iridescent scales sparkled,but its wide nervous eyes
showed fear.
Hello there, max called.
Swimming closer, the sea dragonsqueaked softly and curled up,
wrapping its long tail aroundits body.
Snorkel barked gently, sensingthe creature's shyness.

The sea dragon's name was Kai,and through a series of glowing
water symbols it communicatedits problem it was afraid of
swimming in open waters.
You're a sea dragon that'sscared of swimming.
Max asked kindly, I get it.
Even the bravest of us can havefears.
Kai's shimmery tears driftedupward like bubbles.

It pointed toward the open sea.
Through the water, max couldsee an underwater canyon filled
with glowing crystals, thecrystal reefs, the sea dragon's
home.
But Kai couldn't get therebecause of its fear of the vast
empty waters in between.

Snorkel barked, wagging histail, but the moment he looked
at the water he froze.

Huh, snorkel.
Max said, giving his friend aknowing smile.
This is perfect.

As Max brainstormed a sparklingschool of fish, swam by leaving
behind a small treasure chest.
Max opened it to reveal a pairof glowing magical fins,
perfectly sized for Snorkel.

Snorkel sniffed the finscuriously and Max gently
strapped them to his paws.

completely replaced with joy.

One of them, an elder dragon,gifted Max and Snorkel a glowing
crystal.
For your courage and kindness,the elder dragon said in a deep,
melodic voice.
