Speaker 1 (00:10):
Let's get into the news because we are we are
moving kind of baha behind schedule a little bit here,
but I want to talk about some stuff that has
happened very recently. Let's talk about free agencies, trades and
everything else. Big blockbuster trade or the first big trade
I think of the off season, Gray Ronriguez was traded
yesterday for Taylor Ward of the Angels, which was high
(00:33):
opening for a lot of people, to say the least. Now,
if you guys remember gragez Is has two years of
major league three years of major League two and a
half plus. He is, you know, a stud for the Oros.
They have high hopes for him be in front of
the rotation. He missed all of last year with an
elbow injury. Because everyone gets hurt and he throws hard,
that's the way it is. But he's twenty six years old,
(00:54):
he's got four more years of team control. He's a
four to eleven ERA and with two hundred and fifty
nine right out in two hundred and thirty eight innings.
So even when he has pitched, he has been successful.
And Taylor Ward's coming off his best season. Uh, He's
got a two thirty seven batting average. Sixty one home
runs one hundred seventy eight RBIs the last two years,
two thirty thirty home run seasons. We picked him to
(01:16):
be the MVP of the Angels last year, and he
was and he has been. Uh he's twenty fifth of
three hundred and sixteen hitters and chase rate, so he's
like good at not chasing either. So he's been a
quality player. But what is the head scratcher about this
situation is the Orioles have had a logjam in the
outfield and they just got another outfielder and they gave
(01:37):
up a starting pitcher in which they have very little.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
So this seems to kind of be a step in
the a step back.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
But I feel like you only do something like this
if you have a plan in mind, you got someone
else you're going for. So this just exacerbates their starting
pitching problem. A little bit of a head scratcher. But
I think Taylor Ward is going to be successful there.
I think he's a quality outfielder. But the Angel's got
a young, control starting pitcher, which is also I don't know,
on my head scratching both sides because this is not
(02:05):
a deal either one of these sides usually do, but
it happened. I'd love to know what you guys think
about this, because this is a great one to talk
about in the comments.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Uh but you know, Taylor.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Ward plus Colin Kwser and Tyler and' neil on the outfield,
a healthy Tayler and Neil maybe more a bop, maybe
more a juice on. But like, where's the starting pitcher
gonna come from? We'll see, right, we'll see. We still
need starting pitching, so you better have some options, and
especially with an impending lockout, you know, who knows what's
gonna happen there?
Speaker 2 (02:31):
All right, Josh Naylor.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Signs a five year I believe it was five year
ninety two point five million dollar deal and the prediction
was nine year ninety or five year ninety.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
So nailed that, which I think is awesome.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
I think this is if the Mariners just did do
this and maybe add some some platoon options, some veteran options.
They still need to address their base or if if
Gina's not coming back.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
But like, I love this.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
I think he fits in perfectly with this lineup, if
it's in perfectly with his clubhouse, if it's imperfectly with
this ballpark.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
He does all the little things.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Well, this is a guy who is maybe not an
analytics darling, even though there's a lot of analytics nice
things about him analytically, with his inability to strike out,
the way the way he battles, length of length of
AB's is high. He's got some juice, he plays good defense,
he's really smart on the bass pass, getting a lot
of value there, like though it might not be the
(03:26):
most eye popping numbers. Perfect, perfect for the Mariners. I
love that for them. He had two ninety nine with
nine home runs, thirty three RBIs, and nineteen stolen bases
and nineteen attempts for the Mariners after being traded and
pulled off almost a three hundred bating average and a
three point one war for the first time in his career.
So congratulations to you, Josh, and we're glad to have.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
You up here. I think that's awesome, all right.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
So these are the top twenty five free agents for
this year in my opinion, or I should say opinion,
because it's not just me here at Mayday. Kyle Talkers
and Tucker's number one obviously, and then Bregman and Bellinger.
You can flop him around, flip them flop him around,
but then we see our first starting pitcher at Framber Valdez.
So in my opinion, I want to talk a little
(04:12):
bit about the pictures on this list. We got Framber,
we got Cease, who had arguably a down year last year.
I think, go down to Ranger Sorez, who's again not
lighting up the radar gun, but he does have great commands,
so he's a good one. But that's only three in
the top ten. So now, like, where are these guys going.
Now we know Trent Grisham took the took the qualifying offer,
(04:34):
and we'll talk about that in a moment, But then
you got to come all the way down here to
Gielito in Bassett, so there's not a ton of starting
pitching out here. And Meryl Kelly, I think MARYL. Kelly
actually I would probably slide him back up there a
little bit more, but overall pretty good.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
And the only reason Schwarber, by the way, is eight.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Is just because he's just he's a DH like that
that just limits his teams. So like sometimes sometimes like
Kyle Tucker could play for anybody, right, anybody better. Alex
Bregman also would would make most people better at starting pitching.
Boba Schett now is pretty versatile and he's probably the best.
I think Poundful Fountain maybe just hit her on this
on this list, So a lot of interesting things happening here,
(05:13):
but that you notice there's just not a ton of
starting pitching here, So it'll be interesting to see what happens.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
What happens there and with the Orioles, are you know
on any of them?
Speaker 1 (05:23):
But there are five free agent things that I would
love to see. But but I want to be very
clear here and I'm gonna I'm gonna give a shout.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Out to my producer DK I did.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
I did kind of throw a curveball on this one
a little bit, and I wanted to approach this from
a let's imagine that that small market teams like would
actually spend a little bit of money, Like what teams
would they just fit on? Well, who are actually looking
for some free agents? I don't think that most of
these guys are even going to be bid on by
(05:57):
these teams, but if they did, it would be a
really interest. They would fit perfectly onto the team they're
going to. Right, So instead of just going Hey, Matt's
Dodgers Yankees, Dodgers Dodgers Nets Dodgers like, instead of doing that,
I I did some way outside of left field literally
sometimes and got outside the box a little bit. But first,
(06:20):
the first, uh, the first free agent fun I want
to see is and in that same spirit, the Pittsburgh
Pirates signing.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Anybody. Now, there was a tweet put out.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
By uh or sorry, an article written by Passing Jeff
Passing go check out a full article on ESPN, and
he reported, the Pirates are seriously trying.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
To spend some money this offseason. Come again.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
So I guess they were in on Josh Naylor. I
guess they got. They got fairly up there. You know,
as we all know, as everyone knows that watches baseball.
The Pirates largest free agent contract they've ever offered end
signed was three years for thirty nine million dollars for
Francisco Lereano.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Which is ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Okay, and again I guess they offer double that more
than double that too, Josh Naylor.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
But surprising absolutely nowhere.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Josh Naylor goes, Okay, what else are you gonna do?
And they're like, well, we can't do anything, and he's like, okay,
are you going to develop some young guys? You have
a young core, Like they don't like, what are we
doing there? Like, you're not just taking that deal unless
it's by far the most money. And that's kind of
the rocket and the hard place the Pirates are in.
To give them a little bit of credit, Like they
can't go out and get a big deal. All the
(07:36):
deals are out of their price range because they haven't
developed well.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Like that's the thing.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
You have to develop a core before it's worth it
to add to it, and they haven't really done that.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Outside of Paul Skins.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
They have some solid players, but like, no one's really
they don't have like that. They don't like the the
what the you know, the Phillies are brought up with
those young guys or or the Orioles, right, they don't
they haven't done that yet, and that's the big problem.
The problem is they're not If you don't develop, well,
there's no reason to sign free agency free agents. So
(08:08):
like because Josh Nayler is just not going to take
that deal because there's nobody there's not Like, you can't
make a big enough difference on your team, and there's
a very little trust that anything will be done to
make that better.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
So why would you sign that big deal.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
So you can't just go out and be like, give
that big money right away, because there's a lot of
other problems that are going to prevent that player from
taking that deal. Okay, So I just want to see
the Pirates sign anybody for more than Lerian I got.
That's what I want, Pirates, anybody more than three years
thirty nine.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
That's that's it.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
That's not a big deal, that's a small deal. Anybody
sign anybody, anyone at all. Please Number two Kyle Tucker
the number one on our list. The team that I
think would be wildly interesting for him to sign with is.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
The Kansas City Royals.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Now a team that really struggle with offense, and they're
now though they had some good defense, they mix and
match their outfield so much with a lot of veterans.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
This guy would be a godsend for the Kansas City rules.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
He would make them an eighty one and eighty one
team this year or no, they were eighty two and eighty.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
I believe they're right there.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
He could make a big enough difference to where he
could push them him and him and Bobby Whitt Junior.
It would be massive. Now I think he's gonna be
outside their price range. But if they went for it,
like they have an exciting team. Now that's an example
of a team that a free agent might be excited
about going to because they're right there. It's interesting, you know,
(09:39):
maybe so Kyle Tucker. The rules wildly interesting. Do I
think it happened? Not a snowballs chance in hell?
Speaker 3 (09:45):
But if he did it, cool, AJ We're gonna do
things a little bit differently.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Here.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
I am wearing the perfect gene and I remember seeing
ads for the perfect gene, most comfortable fit ever, perfect
fit on your body, and I was like, I'm not
buying it. Now I'm buying it, and we're showing it
off on FT.
Speaker 5 (10:10):
Please please get off my desk. First of all, Scott,
Second of all, I was with you. I was skeptical
about perfect gene, and then I got a pair and
the fitting was perfect. And my body's not hard to
fix is I got a big old rear and big
old legs from Laars of squatting and they fit perfectly.
They're stretchy, they're comfortable, they're fashionable, They're everything I look
for in a gene. And now I have an extra
pair and I'm gonna wear them all the time.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
Foul fifteen is the code at the Perfect Gen dot nyc.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
Three Boba Schev Yeah, okay, Lie. There's one guy had
going to the Mets. That's bobachhet I want to see
Bobachette play second base with Francis Glendora. I think he
would fulfill a hole, especially if they don't re sign
Pee Alonzo. We're about to talk about in a moment.
Bobachett on the Mets is intriguing to me. He solves
a problem. He is a pure hitter in a lot
(11:19):
of ways, and they have the money to do it,
so this one actually could happen. That or trade for
Ketel Marte, who we'll see. I would not doubt if
if the if the Mets went for a second basement somewhere. Okay,
speaking of Pee Alonzo, Polar Bear Pete, what would be
interesting where it would be interesting to see him go.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
The Cleveland Guardians? Now?
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Can you imagine Pete Alonzo and the Cleveland Guardians with
that current bang box of a park now going going
to right center, constantly hitting, hitting that jet stream, hitting
forty five home runs for a team that desperately needs
offense every year and desperately needs power. This is one
of the best guys at hitting guys in he hat
one hundred and twenty six RBIs last year. What if
he went to the Guardians Now, it would have to
(12:07):
be one of those bridge deals like he signed with
the Mets with opt outs, but it's possible. Now, does
he want to go to Cleveland? I don't know, but
it would be fun to see, all right. And the
last one, Cody Bellinger. I'm gonna I have a confession DK.
DK made a case for Dodgers, but I'm gonna pick
(12:29):
a different team I wanted to go back to, and
that's the Cubs because Kyle Cucker's gone now, I think
he should go back to the Cubs. I think he
is likes it there. I think they're like him, and
I think that team is close, so it'd be cool
to see him back in Wrigley. All right, let's talk
about some Japanese free agents as well. I'll give you
a little bit of the skinny on those guys, because
there are three pretty big ticket guys coming over and
(12:52):
posting this year.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
All right, let's move forward.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
We have number one, Tatsuya am I. I think I
got it correct me. If I'm wrong, I'm gonna do
my best to pronounce these correctly. But you know, linguistics,
it's not my thing, or somatics, I guess, is it whatever?
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (13:17):
So am I as a pitcher obviously five seven, twenty
seven years old. He went ten to five with a
one to nine to two RA last year with the
with the uh uh Saibu Lions, and he's struck out
one hundred seventy eight one hundred sixty three inchs dominant,
throws really hard, runs it up to ninety nine, has
a very very good sweeper slider thing and a and
(13:38):
relies heavily on his.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Uh exploding fastball. Now, I don't know if he has
done a right. I don't know that. I don't know
if this is a Rokie Sasaki type of fastball.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
It'd be interesting to see. There is a little bit
of question marks up there. But as he is Japanese
and he is a pitcher, he throws a change up
and a splitter.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Can't not throw a splitter.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
And uh started incorporating a sinker late in the season,
so he's gone from a two pitch mitch to five.
But just like just like Roki, and just like many
Japanese players come over, they usually have a good fastball
and then an out pitch and then the rest is
kind of like to get to those two pitches. With
the exception Yamamoto, who very clearly was paid correctly so
but he is a big ticket pitcher at twenty seven,
(14:18):
he is young.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
That is a good time to go to free agency.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
He's extremely valuable or extremely effective last year and the
Athletics Tim Britten projects and I will receive an eight year,
one hundred and ninety million dollars deal. So who does
that mean he can go to? There's a few, but
it is very interesting to see what his market will
be because everyone can use that kind of starting pitcher.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Next up we have Kazuma Okamoto.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
I'm pretty sure he goes by Kaz but he is
six to one, twenty nine year old, six time All
Star over there in Japan. He only played in sixty
nine games nice in the Central League last season, but
he ended the year with an ops over one thousand
and fifteen home runs and fewer than three hundred plate appearances.
So when he was healthy, he was very good and
(15:09):
people can use him for sure if you might remember him,
or maybe this picture when he hit the go ahead
home run and the deciding home run against tim Usa
in the twenty three WBC, So very very very interesting.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
That is not him.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
Actually, the next guy is I got ahead of myself.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
I'm so sorry.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
We'll see him at This is actually Murray Kami. This
is Munataka Murakami. He is the third baseman, so this
is the third basement. We'll see the other guy in
a minute.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
My bad. The six to two. This guy is twenty
five years old.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
He has pop two hundred and forty six home runs
in eight hundred and ninety two games, and he had
a fifty six homer season in twenty two, which was
three years ago, which was when he was twenty three,
which is impressive. Okay, he had twenty two home runs
with forty seven RBIs this last year, but over a
thousand ops in a short season. Obviously, he also so
had an injury but played really well when.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
He was healthy.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
But his strikeout rate is a big red flag right now.
So in Japan they have equivalent of base all savant
where you have all of the numbers like in a
like a chart where it shows where you are on
the percentage. So the red is good, uh and blue
is bad. He is in like the first percentile and
strike a swing a miss, chase, strikeout rate with all
that stuff, But there is a caveat his numbers though high.
(16:29):
You know, twenty nine percent strike out rate, twenty eight
percent s rec out rate. There was here whe Hes
twenty two percent, which is about Brown Brett Rooker last year,
which is pretty good. That those are very high numbers.
But like those there's there's a few guys in the
major leagues with those numbers. The reason it's concerning is
because it's Japan, and in Japan usually the league average
(16:49):
and all of those numbers is lower because it's it's
harped on to put the ball in play, don't strike
out as much as wing of miss, So that I
think it's it's kind of amplified by that, Like he's
really high for that group, but that group generally is
lower than in the United States because of the way
that their approach, So he might fit into the US
a little bit more. But that said, Japanese pitchers also
tend to strike out less players too, So like you
(17:13):
know which which thing is gonna which one? Which thing
is gonna give first? Is the swinging miss is gonna
get much.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Worse in the United States?
Speaker 1 (17:21):
Is it going to go down because he changes, you know,
he gets a different approach, or is it going to
stay about the same because those two things off set.
It's gonna be interesting to see what happens. Also, this
is this is o Komodo right here. This is him
and that's him running around the basis after you get
that home run. So I apologize for getting those mixed up.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
My bad.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
All right, let's move on. Let's talk about the qualifying
offers really quick. Those of you that don't know what
a qualifying offer is. It's a one year offer for
a team that is four that is the for the
salary that is the average of the top one and
twenty five AAVs in the league.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
I hope that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
And the reason that happens is a player gets gets
the offer. If you accept it, great, you get a
one year deal at that number. If you reject it,
you go into free agency just like normal, and that
team gets the opportunity to get a supplemental pick in
the next draft. So when lots of teams throw lots
of them out, they're like, if we get the guy, great,
(18:17):
we want you still and we'll pay you one year.
We don't want to sign you long term, so we
can handle that, but if you reject it, we would
love the pick too. Sometimes they actually want to pick
a little bit more than want the guy, and the
guy takes it, which is awkward, sometimes rare, but it happens. Actually,
it's rare that anyone usually takes it. Fourteen guys have
taken of one hundred and forty four have taken them
(18:38):
since it's existed.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
That's about ten percent rate.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
This year, four of the thirteen did, which is really interesting,
which is really interesting. So the four guys that took it,
Brandon Woodruff, I think that was smart. He's been hurt
a lot though he is very good. He's like, you
want to guarantee the money you can get show Ta Minaga.
That's interesting too, but again, that's pretty if you don't
(19:02):
think there's.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
Gonna be a lot out there for you take the.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Twenty two million labor torres, that one's a little bit
weird because I think second basement would be I think
he can get something good on Trent Grisham with the Yankees.
I think everyone thought he wasn't gonna take that because
he had a literally career platform here, but he decided
that he wants to take it now. There are more
guys taking it now than ever before. Why do we
think that is? It's because the lockout guys, the impending
(19:26):
lockout is scary. And basically, if you are a guy
who's like, hey, I'm getting the qualifying offer and out
there in the market, I'll probably get like a four.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
Year, fifty five or sixty million.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Right, So the qualifying offer higher AVY is twenty two million,
if your AVY would be fifteen if you signed that deal.
If you believe that there's very likely to lose a
season to a lockout or lose a lot of money there,
you're going to take the guaranteed money and then test
it out again, right, you're like, I'll take the extra
seven million on the front end because I might miss
(19:59):
a year in there. That is probably a big reason
this stuff's happening. It's gonna be very interesting to see
how free agency contracts shake out with that in mind,
but just something to think about.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
That's probably factoring in.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
That's probably why we saw more of qualifying offers taken
this year. Nine players who could climb the qualify and offer.
Kyleish Schwarber, Duh, if you're gonna a guy who's obviously
gonna go, just throw them the qualifying offer because you
just get a free pick.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
So that's what most of this says.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
Schwarbur's gone, Tucker's gone, Ranger Swarros is gone, Franer bellt
does is gone, Boba Chet was gonna gone go, Dylan
Cease was gonna go. Edwin Diaz a little bit a
little bit interesting because he had to opt out before
they gave him the qualifying offer.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
So if he didn't opt out, they're good.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
They're like, Oh, since he opted out, that means he
wants to leave, so let's give him qualifying effort get
a free pick. Zach Gallon he was gonna go and
Michael King was gonna go like, all those guys should
be testing the free agent market because they could get
longer than just a handful of years. So that all
makes sense to me. There's a couple like Labor Torres
is a little bit interesting, so is Trent Grisham. But
(21:02):
I can't fault either. Okay, so that's qualifying offer. That's
what we have going here. Brandon Woodruff there he is. Okay,
Let's talk about some potential trades before we move on
to our two here and we will do get into
the Oba's over.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
On our channel. Okay, on the other channel.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Let's talk about some interesting trades that could happen that
we saw could could go from certain teams and maybe
maybe there's something there, right, let's quickly hit them. Let's
talk first about the Cardinals. We don't talk about the
Cardinals a lot of this channel, but we're gonna talk
about some guys that could possibly be trade trade chips
(21:41):
for this year. Okay, Sonny Gray, Nolan, Arnado, We'll see
what if Nolan's on the table. There's a very weird
thing going on where we don't know how valuable he is.
Large New bar could be very interesting to some other teams,
and I think probably the big prize would be Brennan Donovan.
I think Brennan Donovan would be a very good play
for anyone. He's got great utility, he hits, he's a
(22:04):
professional player, he does everything well.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
I think he's just.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
Completely overlooked as one of the better players, one of
the guys you got to worry about in that lineup
and on that team. And Kim Bloom is about to
take over, so we'll see, We'll see how he he
wheels and deals with this guys. But those guys are probably.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
All on the block.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
One interesting thing for the Brewers next up Freddy Peralta.
Now I know he is their ace and I want
them to keep him. I don't want him to go anywhere.
But at the same time, if you're looking to get
a little bit more, now's the time to get a
little bit more. So it's a it's a it's a
three for one, two for one deal. Sometimes you've got
(22:43):
to take that deal if it presents itself. That said,
I like that they have their ace. I think they
would rather not trade their ace. But with Brandon Roder
have taken the qualifying offer, it might even be more likely.
I don't think it's super likely, but it's interesting. It's interesting,
and they have a history of trading their their best
player a little bit before free and see, so I
don't know, to avoid the pain. Maybe with like what
(23:04):
they did with Corbin Burns and Devin Williams, et cetera,
and uh and Josh Hader, etcetera, etcetera. Marlins, don't forget
Sanael Contra. He's out there and Edward Cabrera. Those those
two guys were there. Are are are big prizes past
say Young, he's a full year off Tommy John. I
think this guy is gonna bring in a hall for them,
(23:25):
and I think that if the opportunity presents himself, he's going,
and I think he should and I think it's better
for him too. I think it's better for everyone involved.
Saniel Contra should probably be on another team. So we'll
see the twins. We have Joe, Ryan, Pablo Lopez, and
Ryan Jeffers on this list. But I'll be honest, I
(23:46):
think this is very unlikely. It's interesting to see if
they want to keep going or not go. But I
think if you trade him or Pablo, if you trade
both of them, if you trade two of these three guys.
Byron Buckson is probably gonna wait wait, I know buck
a lot. I know he really doesn't want to wave
his trade clause. But like if you're going to just
trade everybody all the time, like that's when you change.
Because Byron Buckston wants to win at the end of
(24:07):
the day, so I hope they don't. But those guys
are their value. But at the same time, let them
come back. Lopez, Ryan Jeffers. I just realized that's Ryan
Jeffers first name too.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
That's crazy. Keep them.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
Mack Abel's gonna be better. I think Tos Brody is
gonna better. I think they're going to be more competitive
than people are giving credit to I really do. I
just think they're I just think they're better. Uh okay,
quick rapid fire Red Sox the outfield, Jared Duran, will
you're bra I think Jared Duran is the most likely
and if he does go, they need to bring in
some starting pitching. We'll talk about it in a moment.
I'm gonna propose the trade for you. But I think
(24:43):
one of those two guys are great targets, especially with
the young guys they have.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
Now we have the Nationals.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Mackenzie Gore is now really valuable, top three rotation type
of guy. A team could really use him. I think
he would bring in a big haul. Though they're young.
Guys that they got for Soto are good, they're just
not really coalescing the quaryat So maybe we use a
couple of those pieces that have developed any good.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Players to get more good players new regime.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
There will see how they do, and then the Royals
sell high and Chris Bubick Bubich rather, he had a
great year last year after really not developing very quickly,
but he seems to come in his own and he
is a lefty and lots of teams need lefties, namely
to the Boston Red Sox, I think, and they need outfielders,
so I think Jared Duran going to the Royals. And
(25:28):
then they signed Kyle Tucker and now we are cooking
with gas in Kansas City. Who knows, who knows? I
don't know, but it could be interesting. Wouldn't that be
so interesting
