In this podcast interview, I catch up with Poe Leos at her SXSW debut, where she talks about how she got started in music, her collaboration with Julieta Venegas, and growing up in Mexico and the US.  Poe is a 22-year-old singer/songwriter from Rockford, IL now residing in Los Angeles, CA. Poe is an extremely versatile writer and vocalist with the ability to write across Pop, R&B, and Hip-Hop. She has a flair for infectious melodies and catchy hooks. As a Mexican-American Poe can also write fluently in Spanish. She has co-written releases for artists including XG, Ally Brooke, Baby Goth, Ivy Jay, Taylor Watkins, CJ Tate, Sweet Taboo, and Jona Camcacho among others. Her has recently been working with artists such as Kaash Paige, Rubi Rose and producers including Bone Collector, CXDY, Dro, DJ Flict, and Social House. Her songs have also been synced in various TV shows including HBO’s “Insecure.”
