Ever feel like you're drowning in the ever-changing sea of electronic discovery? You're not alone. Drawing from over 25 years as a litigator and discovery strategist, I'm thrilled to introduce you to the newly rebranded Meet and Confer podcast - your lifeline in navigating the complex waters of ESI strategy.

What began as a simple Case of the Week series has evolved into something much more comprehensive. While case law remains the backbone of effective advocacy, the modern legal landscape demands we look beyond precedent alone. Technology advances relentlessly, rules change, processes evolve, and perspectives shift. The Meet and Confer podcast tackles all these dimensions to give you a complete picture of the discovery ecosystem.

Don't worry - your favorite Case of the Week segment isn't going anywhere! It continues in partnership with ACEDS, now complemented by exciting new segments like Mobile Minutes (a collaboration between Minerva 26 and ModeOne Technologies). Since the pandemic, mobile device discovery has exploded in importance, creating challenges that demand specialized attention. Whether you're wrestling with preservation issues, fighting for proportionality, or simply trying to understand what data exists where, this podcast aims to make your professional life just a little bit easier. My mission is helping you harness the true power of electronic evidence to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients. Subscribe now and share with colleagues who could benefit from clearer guidance in the digital discovery maze!

Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hi and welcome.
I'm your host, kelly Twigger.
I've spent more than 25 yearsas a litigator and discovery
strategist, working exclusivelywith clients on how to leverage
ESI to tell a story.
When I kicked off this podcastin the fall of 2024, it was a
way to bring the case of theweek that I'd been doing for
four years to a new audience.
And wow, I did not expect thewelcome that you gave me as a

(00:24):
podcaster.
As we've gone on, I've had theincreasing desire to expand what
we cover here to more than justcase law, because, while a case
law remains incrediblyimportant to how we advocate for
our clients, there are otherthings that impact how we can
best leverage ESI Technology, rules, processes and, of course,

(00:48):
the perspectives of thosehandling the data on either side
of the V of a matter and fromthe bench.
To bring those to you.
I felt like we needed a newidentity for the podcast, so I
officially welcome you to theMeet and Confer podcast with
Kelly Twigger.
This podcast will be a bitdifferent than most in that I'm
breaking up the topics we coverinto segments.
The Case of the Week segmentwill continue as a part of this

(01:08):
podcast in partnership withASEDS, so don't fret.
I'll also introduce othersegments that cover key topics
in Discovery, including ournewest segment, mobile Minutes,
brought to you in partnershipbetween Minerva 26 and Mode 1
Technologies.
Discovery of data from mobiledevices has blown up since the
pandemic, and there are so manycritical issues to cover there

(01:28):
that we'll devote a segment tothose topics exclusively.
The constantly changing pace oftechnology and its impact on
discovery and on our obligationsas counsel, most importantly,
is just plain hard to keep upwith.
My goal with this podcast is tomake it just a little bit
easier by sharing some updateson what's happening and offering
some reassurance that you canmaster your discovery strategy

(01:53):
for your specific clients andthe types of matters you face.
I want you to understand andleverage the real power that you
have with ESI to help yourclients win whatever winning
looked like for a givensituation.
Thanks for joining me here.
I look forward to theconversations and, if you find
this podcast useful, be sure tosubscribe and share it with

(02:14):
friends and colleagues.
Stay sane out there.
