Paranormal Experience with Susan Slaughter on the Melissa Billie Clark Show - Making a Difference
My story starts in my home town in Miami where I discovered my appetite for mystery, adventure, and paranormal. I wasn’t raised traditionally. My mother, who is Nicaraguan, married my father who is German/Wiccan but insisted I be baptized Catholic under her strict faith. She later remarried a Buddhist Pilot/ Survivalist from France when I was only in elementary school. Needless to say, I grew up knowing and learning a lot about different religious and cultural backgrounds from a tender age. It’s important to give these bits of information about myself so you can understand how I was groomed to be a spiritually aware and adventurous child that bled into every aspect of who I am today. I had my first paranormal experience when I was about 5 or 6, hiked the Appalachian Trail when I was 11, studied zoology and herpetology when I was 13-15 and joined the League of Paranormal Investigators when I was 19. By age 19 I had traveled to Nicaragua, Costa Rica, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Belgium, and The Netherlands. Traveling is in my blood! I have since been to a load of other countries, which leads me to my next paragraph.
Most people know of my expertise through my stint on the Ghost Hunters franchise. On Ghost Hunters Academy, thousands applied, 8 were chosen to compete, I won. I won a spot on whichever Ghost Hunters show I wanted to be on. I obviously chose to go International. Even though I knew it wouldn’t have the longevity of the famous domestic team, I had to go where I could see and discover the rest of the world. I’ve investigated in over 30 countries with GHI. I’ve gone spelunking in wet cave systems 2 miles underground to discover Mayan treasures left behind almost 3,000 years ago. Discovered hidden rooms containing secret WW2 documents in a Ukrainian castle. Uncovered lost tombs of members of The Knight’s Templar in secret tunnels under the Danube River in Serbia. I have even repelled into a recently excavated Incan temple in the Andes to discover an alien stone that resonated vibrations on its own! Honestly, I could die tomorrow without any regret.
I’m not just some “on-camera talent” that is into ghosts and mystery when the cameras are rolling. I have been actively pursuing the paranormal field off-camera, fueled by my own inquiring mind and finances. I have been investigating with teams all over the US, speaking at conventions, universities, and events on paranormal subjects. I’m a founding member of an independent paranormal outlet called The Dark Zone online where I’ve written/directed/produced/hosted my own series. I even have an excerpt I wrote on possessions in a German paranormal journal on (obviously) paranormal phenomena. I’ve been featured on shows like The Nerdist’s Bizarre States, Dread Central’s Brain Waves, and in books like Haunted By History. Currently, I review footage of paranormal phenomena for a series on TRVL channel called Paranormal Caught On Camera and have been stretching my acting chops in a few indie horror features that have been featured in film festivals and theaters worldwide. When I’m not investigating the paranormal I spend my time reading up on esoteric subjects and magick and curate a music/film event known as SlaughterHaus.
