Jay Bolan is a fantastic multi-instrumentalist musician that deserves a place in your music collection! Working in the? music industry for well over 40 years (Los Angeles, Las Vegas) Jay has worked with many top notch musicians on many projects including the likes of Gregg and Matt Bisonette (David Lee Roth Band) , Brett Tuggle (David Lee Roth Band), Tony Franklin (The Firm) and Bobby Blotzer (Ratt) amongst many others! Jay's solo album released in 1993 is a fantastic AOR artifact that accompanies hard rock anthems with acoustic overtones and no doubt in my mind it would of been a strong seller back in the 1990's if released 1 or 2 years sooner. Released independently on RatDog records, the album is very hard to find but a remastered and expanded release is slated to be very soon! look out for Jay's new album sometime in the short future.? Accompanied with this podcast is his fantastic opening melodic song "Northern Girl".? Give it a listen. You wont be disappointed!
