Guys Don't Care What They Look Like?
Hey Guys! I wanted to talk about an issue that generally doesn’t come up in conversation and yet affects 43% of men. Negative Body Image, also known as Body Dysphoria and to a greater degree Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD).
Traditionally, body image is thought to be a woman’s issue. There are countless studies, clinics and treatments for women who have a negative, warped perspective of their physical appearance, but men are generally left to fend for themselves and shamed by peers and self for having such feelings.
Now, you may think the culprit may be your weight, but your view on your muscle structure, hairline or lack thereof, your height and even your very manhood can create insecurities, lack of self-confidence and a host of other mental and physical health issues.
